  1. The problem with this is the fact that as long as people are willing to buy plat to buy whatever from wherever DE will do nothing about it because just like fixing problems with the game it's easier to do nothing than something. Especially if doing nothing is making them money.

People have been trying to get Riven trading moved in game for a long time, but people always cry it down and even if people were interested in something like that it wouldn't happen because DE has stated more than once that they don't want to implement a system like this.

The fact that someone has a created a Patreon for Riven selling and is actually making money from it shows just how bad trading is at the moment, and how much DE needs to step its game up regarding what they allow people to do with the information they can glean from their game.

What other information can people rip from Warframe I'd like to know?

Just how secure is this game?

    Should we be worried?

  2. Hologram Lotus (AKA The False Mother)

Look, it's over 3 years (December 2017) since Apostacy Prologue, I think enough time has gone by to say that she's never coming back. If she was it wouldn't take this long no matter what excuses you come up with. If you can release content (and you have) you can work towards the release of the final chapter of New War.

Meanwhile, Ordis does an amazing job running the Jupiter Sabotage and Disruption missions, let him be himself and stop having to pretend to be Lotus because you seem think we or the game can't cope without "Space Mom".

    We can.

  3. I'm sick of people leaving Iso Vault runs because they don't want to run all 3 of them.

It would be nice if you made the new vaults into a separate mission opened by a key of some sort so that those people who wish to run them don't interfere with the games of the people who don't.

  4. Will we be hearing about any changes/fixes to Deimos Arcana being implemented before it's release "this week"?

There seem to be a lot of questions being asked on both these forums and other social media about the decision to go ahead with this considering the feedback gained during the test server period.

Hey. I’ve been trying to farm the green white and red debt bonds in orb for the past 3 months. And I have yet to get enough to do anything. I know this is heavily due to rng but I’m also helping my friend get to old mate and he hasn’t gotten any either since last month. I’ve also tried to purchase those debt bonds but they never seem to show up in store. Any suggestions or is this an issue amongst other people as well

Have you talked to Ticker in Fortuna? He basically trades Debt Bonds for credits and resources. He only sells a few of a kind at a time, but it helps if you need to farm a lot of them.

I don't understand your rant essay, did I said "this is new content"? The new content is the lore, the cosmetics, new frame, new weapons, not the remaster itself and that's why I said: "DLP it's a remaster too, not just a "new" mode or content island".

That's not a rant, that's a constructive essay about how I feel about the remaster.

If I was ranting I'd use vowels instead of pronouns and numbers instead of prepositions like other people do.

Feel free to label it as a rant if you wish to, you have my permission to do so if it makes you more able to accept what I wrote as an opinion that from talking to people in game and in discords about it I know that I am not alone in.

Except like 80%~ of the corpus mission take place on ships? You'll be there on sorties, arbitrations, farming/opening relics, looking for caches, etc. DLP it's a remaster too, not just a "new" mode or content island.

In this case, did we consider the rework of the lighting on the Plains of Eidolon to be new content as sorties can take us onto the plains as can Tridolon hunting? Or the volumetric fog that appears at the start of "Warm" in the Orb Vallis? Because I get sent there as part of Nightwave occasionally.

New content is something that adds something new to the game. The missions that take place in the new ship tile set are exactly the same missions as they where before, a remastered tile set doesn't effect the mission in any way. Now in a room you may have to jump left where as before you had to jump right. The Jupiter remaster added more as it included the external parkour tiles with the broken walkways that weren't in the original. None of the new rooms in the ship tile set require even a change of pace, they're just there to blast through on your way to the objective and then to extraction. For some reason even the "remastered" spy vaults feel easier to complete than before, the fact that we now have to flick a switch to turn off the lasers in the capture mission is good, but why is it in a position so out of the way? What if a Corpus needs to flick that switch? Do they go get a ladder or ask another corpus for a bunk up? not a lot of thought went into that one I think. Why not make it that some mini boss or something is carrying a key and we need to kill him to get it?

The fact is, that for someone starting the game today, the new ship tile set isn't even new as they never had a chance to play on the old one. It's just "the" ship tile set.

I've had no internet for a week, I didn't get my hands on "Deadlock Protocol" until Tuesday this week. Together with my clan mates and some good RNG, I have nothing left to go to the new tile set for, in the space of 6 hours over 2 days we have Protea, the weapons, most of the captura scenes, some new lore (apparently even though it's already stated in the lore that the Orokin declared the Corpus cult illegal and outlawed it they gave the founder a unique warframe to serve him! Unique eh? that's going to cause a problem isn't it? Because if Protea is unique as she appears in Deadlock how is there going to be a Protea Prime if one was never made in the first place? Because unique Warframe (only one of them built) and obviously not a prime (so obviously a prime never existed) because if there was another of her she wouldn't be unique would she? (DE get some competent writers who actually know your game lore please)

Unless as you say, some other mission takes me there I have no more reason to visit the new tile set, no need what so ever to click on a Corpus ship based mission.

All this is is a remaster, it's not new content, it's old content with a new coat of paint. New content is something we didn't have before that we have now, Protea, the new weapons, Primary Kitguns, Captura scenes this is all new content, the quest is new content. The corpus have always had ships, now they just look different, the function is exactly the same as it was before.

It's just a sign of how bad things are for the game cycle if the remaster of an old map is considered to be something new and innovative by the player base. It looks great, but that's all that can be said for it.

  8. It's an allegory, the Solaris represent the players, and the Player represents Digital Extremes.

The Solaris beg and the Players either simply ignore their pleas and continue to do whatever they want with no regards to plight to them, or release one of them, a single Solaris, like a single piece of content that gives an instant reward and then disappears never to be played again.

The Player/Solaris interaction in the new ship tile set is pretty much the entirety of Deadlock Protocol. Once you have all the things, there's no reason to go back, like Fortuna, like The Plains of Eidolon, Railjack, just like every piece of content released in the past few years.

Lets face it, after we have all the things, those Solaris are just going to sit and rot.

    It's not right!

    #SolarisLivesMatter.

DE gives zero #*!%s unless its one certain person who's a friend of the devs on Reddit or Twitter.

    I fixed that for you.

The ability to use universal medallions to buy rank in Conclave was removed from the game after one person (who claimed to be a friend of [DE]Steve or so the story goes) posted on a Reddit subforum about them and how unfair it was to give something to people who hadn't had to grind through the awful that is Conclave.

DE does listen, but only if your some kind of significant person to one of them.

You dont need "one" mod you need all of them at least one copy. You farm them all together not just for "one mod". If You go to t5 with 3teammate you get 80% chance to get at least one mod in 5min. that's not luck at all. if you get duplicate just save your time for next time.

If you're a beginner you will need 8 different mod to do 1 lich. Like i said. It's hard at the beginning because you have to run kuva flood and fissure. But having 8 different mod will allow you to do at least 3 lich already. After that you will get free relic from hunting lich so no more kuva flood.

I dont believe your friend dosnt kill his lich because RNG prevent him from doing so for 6 months. You dont need luck to do lich.

Beside t5 relic reward just byprocduct of farming kuva survival. never heard someone cant get mod because he's lucky enough

And i didnt say i against the idea of get rid of lich. Why should i? It only benefit player. I just think it probably not gonna fix the problem of pressing wrong button.

No luck involved? So why do you only have an 80% chance with a full squad all running the same relic? What's the other 20% blue smoke? 80% is an 8 in 10 chance, if you roll over that 80% you fail, that's due to Random Number Generation RNG. Even with a full squad, RNG can still spit in your face just as you've admitted it does in that statement.

It was suggested that unlocking a required mod would then give you a blueprint that you would have to craft using a recipe that would involve an amount of Kuva, but, RNG is easier which is why DE took that route.

Players do not like RNG, look at how many more people are playing Railjack now that the amount of RNG and grind has been reduced, look at how many more people started running liches once you could see what weapon they were carrying (ok, this is making people ask to see what ephemera the liches have, which is a step too far, IMO they shouldn't have let us see the weapon either). Honestly? if liches were more fun you wouldn't need that because people would be more willing to play them. The only good thing about liches is that they raise the base level of the mobs in that mission making it a little more of a challenge. When hard mode comes in players won't need that, they'll be able to play against higher level enemies simply by choosing hard mode

We're here to have fun, not to bang our heads against the game.

I know that RNG is a major mechanic in Warframe, that there isn't much that we can do in the game that doesn't have some kind of RNG from loot drops, to quest rewards, to relics both prime and requiem. Warframe plays well, it's fun,

Why not surprise us with something that is gameplay related? not something that is dice roll controlled.

Look at Scarlet Spear, Spear was fun, it was entertaining, it had 2 sides, Murex Raid and Condrix Interception. Look at Dog Days, that was just dumb fun in which everyone was equal. No RNG, just gameplay, good solid gameplay.

All the events are like that, simply because they don't have to be stretched out over months until the next piece of content is dropped, because DE only seems to know one way to make content last and that is to limit access to its rewards with RNG.

    It's what they're good at.

  11. 4 hours ago, BRZZAFK said:

No it's not RNG at all. Only if you are beginner. After 3,4 lich later. You have relic that you cant finish open. You have copys of each requiem mod. There's only two RNG which is the %of the weapon you get and the cosmatic.

Ok, so your telling me that if someone needs a mod that drops from a Requiem 1, they can go into a Kuva siphon (50% relic drop chance) and the mod they receive will be a Requiem 1 (25% per relic so 75% chance it'll be a 2,3 or 4) and, when he cracks it, that it will yield the mod he wants and not a riven sliver, or an amber ayatan star or the other mod that's in there?

Can you guarantee that? Are you willing to stake your life on that? because you seem to be pretty certain that there's no RNG involved in cracking open relics.

You can alter the odds of the RNG by refining a relic, but you cannot equip a relic and say "This is going to drop Xata" no more than you can say "I'm going to win the lottery today" because when it opens it's a dice roll that you can slew, but otherwise have no control over. The only way to get that Xata mod is to open relic after relic after relic. If your lucky, Xata drops on the first run, if your unlucky you run out of relics and have to go and farm more of that 50% chance of that 75% chance of not being the relic you need.

I know people who started a lich on the day Old Blood dropped who still haven't finished it because the level of RNG involved in grinding parazon mods prevents them from finishing it because the mod they need simply will not drop.

And, not everyone wants to take mods from other people or waste plat on buy something that drops for free.

The ability to remove an unwanted lich is just another promise that DE has backed out on. A removed lich wouldn't give any reward to the player, it's just gone, and if that was allowed once a month how would people be able to abuse that?

It's just a little piece of  quality of life that would be nice to have because accidents do happen. We have a blade, the Parazon that gives us bonuses when we use it, people see that red icon and they hit X for that speed boost, or that invisibility, energy, health, radial blind or whatever. DE have made it like this, so yes, Liches do get spawned by accident, I've seen team mates do it more than once, heck I've did it myself once, and when people do, they shouldn't have to be punished for it.

My liches are all vanquished, my duplicate weapons either merged or sold. I grind requiem mods as and when I need them and, I'm lucky enough to get the ones I need for the job in hand.

    Not everyone is that lucky.

  12. This function was going to be added to the game. The player was going to visit Palladino in Iron Wake and she would use her Red Veil powers to make the lich magically disappear!

The whole thing got canned by DE when they decided invest in the intergalactic slave trade and allow us to sell unwanted liches to other people.

The problem for some people is that you still have to grind out a lich you have no interest in. How long this takes depends on how much time you have to play, how many requiem relics and mods you have and how efficient you are at grinding murmurs.

Unless your willing to pay plat for them, there are four levels of RNG for each requiem mod, farm the relic, is it the right relic? unlock the relic and hope for a mod drop, is it the mod you need? If any one of those steps goes wrong it's back to the beginning. that's too much RNG, especially for something you can't actually complete the lich hunt without.

Yes, they've tinkered with he amount of Murmur farming we need to do to make it less grindy, and they've invented the magical kuva weapon fairy who waves a picture of the weapon the lich has in your face so you won't accidentally convert a larvalling into a lich you don't want, but accidents do happen and, when they do it's just a case of face palm and get on with it.

Some people simply do not want to waste their time grinding an unwanted lich, and why should they?

There is no discernible reason why there is no lich kill switch available in the game. Just make it rarely available, once a month would be enough. If someone still has a lich after one month because they simply do not want to grind it then allow then to kill it. Having this kill switch only appear rarely would prevent people from abusing it and only picking the liches with high value weapons or ephemera to grind.

Give people the ability to get rid of unwanted liches, but limit it's use to prevent them from abusing it.

That was the problem, they didn't, and, as they were broken and so few people were bothering to play them anyway they removed them from the game for what? To save some drive space?

If they could bring them back in some way that would be awesome, but if it's just going to be a repeat of the constantly crashing bug fest that they used to be don't bother, because DE will only remove them again when no one bothers to play them again. Just like last time.

  14. The New Garuda skin I can live with, It has an emaciated starving vampire kind of feel to it that I can totally go with, and make a half decent fashion frame out of.

New Khora seems to be Grendel's  younger oh so less attractive sister trying to make herself more beautiful with a fancy dress and failing badly in the process.

Honestly though, as much as I'm a fan of Ligers work. It's always seems to lose so much when moved from paper and into the game.

That’s the free market for you. If you don’t like it, just ignore it. Do you want to know a better way to prevent overpriced rivens? Cull down Rivens RNG.

It's not a free market though, it's a controlled market and DE is well aware of this but refuses to do anything about it because plat sales are what pay their wages and allow them to make Warframe.

Not so long ago, pretty much any post containing the words The, Riven and Mafia would be removed by the mods.

Lets see if this one stays.

Rivens are free, they drop for free in a game that is free and are rerolled using a resource that also drops for free yet they command prices worth $1000's. Who is it who gives that worth to them? Not me, not you, not the people who want to buy them, but the people who control the market.

Some friends of mine did a little experiment a while ago, they slashed the price of something on Warframe Market simply by trading between themselves using ghost accounts and lowering the prices they traded at. The items never actually changed hands between them. People saw that they were selling regularly so they to dropped their prices as well to match. The opposite works also, and you can inflate the price of something by holding it back, only selling a few and letting demand build, by posting false prices and "selling" to associates at those inflated prices. This works especially well with Rivens because even though they're totally unnecessary people want them because there seems to be some status attached to them, and, as P.T Barnum was so fond of saying "There's a sucker born every minute"

Why else would people be willing to trade 30k plat for something that's free and only requires a little luck to get hold of in the first place?

The only Riven I ever paid plat for was from a clannie who needed 15 plat for something and I only accepted the riven because he refused to accept that plat as a gift. I remember it being a Burston riven, and I turned it into Endo which was way more useful.

This is such a stupid strawman argument "if you have better things to do why are you playing this game huhhhhhhhgg???"

I play this game because I was to have fun with my time on this planet grinding hours and days on end for a cosmetic is not fun for me and I'm fairly certain its not fun for others in this game. I only presented  a way to make grinding for ephemeras much more with while like how grinding for lich weapons became more bearable when we can actually see what were looking for and from then we have a straight goal towards farming for weapons and increasing the bonuses without it taking months on end because the rng was still there but we know what were getting ourselves into before we kill the baby lich.

    Try Again

But your not having fun are you? The fact that you're begging for DE to help make it easier for you to get the things you want shows that. If you were enjoying the Lich experience you'd be happy to grind it over and over because it was fun, not some massive ball ache of a chore like it is now. Liches are easier now than they've ever been, if you have the mods you can knock one out solo in a couple of hours and it's faster if you play with friends. The problem is that grinding liches is for a lot of people boring, and the bulk of the reward is made up of the things you would have picked up from the mission anyway with a little kuva and an "ok-ish" weapon thrown in But, that's not good enough for people who want all the things without having to actually put the effort in is it? I don't know why DE didn't just put the ephemera and kuva weapons into the store with the requiem mod bundle (still there for 835 plat) because that way no one would have anything to complain about apart from the fact that because they bought all the things instead of playing the game for them there's no new content for them to grind through.

We asked them to add a way to kill an unwanted lich, something involving a sortie like quest maybe? They offered us a trip to Palladino who can apparently insta kill your lich because Red Veil is way stronger than we are. That got hit on the head when they decided that lich trading was a way better way of getting rid of unwanted liches, forcing the players to grind them anyway even if they weren't interested and the lich is worthless.

Why not make liches drop a token that can be traded with Little Duck for weapons and ephemera? We already do that for Railjack don't we? What's wrong with implementing that for Liches? That way every single lich no matter how bad will be worth something. Why not? probably because then lich trading would be pointless because you could just buy what you wanted with your lich tokens.

We asked them to take away some of the RNG from liches, but for DE, it seems that RNG = gameplay.

What we have isn't what we wanted, what we have isn't what was promised.

DE will not change this game mode any more, than they have already. I doubt that they'll even look at it until they add the other factions if they ever actually do, because DE is well known for abandoning content that doesn't live up to their expectations. Warframe is full of abandoned things.

If you are enjoying Warframe, your comment seemed to me to say exactly the opposite.

I'm playing Warframe less than I used to because there are other games that my friends and I play together as well. This will change for certain when Glassmaker drops and the Corpus update, but, until then there isn't much here for me that I haven't done a million times already, and those things lose their entertainment value after a few thousand hours.

Now, I'm off to solo speed run a Lich in the hope for getting the magnetic ephemera!

Back in a couple of hours.

Margulis may have been like a mother to us, caring for us and easing our pain, but that doesn't mean the Lotus wasn't. The Lotus isn't merely a replacement for Margulis. She kept us safe, and protected us from the oppressive Orokin rule. She was the one who kept us safe long after the true Margulis was dead.

Margulis and the Lotus are not the same person, but that doesn't mean either of them are any lesser for it.

People are machines. Brains are programming. And all "real persons" are things. Our sense of self, our identity is just the emergence of our learned behaviors and experiences. As a sentient she is no different. You act like the sentient are something lesser than us but you're no better than the Orokin then. Clearly the Sentients are not just some lowly computers since they've built their own society, their own family structures, their own art. The Sentients are just that, Sentient. They are as much people as the Grineer, Corpus, or Ostrons.

He begs her to betray herself. To betray her beliefs. That would be far greater Apostasy than anything the Orokin can charge of her. That whole quest line is set up to showcase the irony of the Orokin's Ego. Instead of taking any act to protect her, he instead denied her beliefs and denied his love for her.

She's a twisted image of what she was before the war. Again, she lapses into the past and can't focus on the events of the present. She's clearly not all there...

Margulis was a creature of peace and look what that got her. She is no longer my Mother. I instead pity her, and the lack of power that lead to her death. The Lotus is the arm that guides the Tenno Blade. She allowed us to take back what the Orokin stole from us. To be ourselves. She knows our pain and helped us get our revenge.

We *are* great warriors, and we did that under our true Mother, the Lotus. Margulis may have kept us safe from the Orokin, but the Lotus was the one who helped us grow and blossom into a culture of our own.

And how is any of that a bad thing? The Lotus gave us power. Freed us to be who we are.

The Orokin feared us for good reason, because we were the one people who could strike back against their Tyranny.

We could spend the rest of our life trapped in a dream, in isolation... Or we could have bodies of flesh and steel, undying and living forever as guardians of the people. Building our own culture and establishing ourselves as great heroes. Why would you prefer the former?

Because the Grineer command is completely unkowable, and the Queens were things of Myth until just recently? Because no Grineer would stop trying to murder you long enough to request a treaty?

Because the Corpus live and die based on profit and war is extremely profitable? Because they'd never stop this neverending cycle of profit?

And using the Tenno as deterrents to maintain the peace is literally what the Lotus has been doing... The response? The Grineer building Fomorians and the Corpus building Razorbacks, trying to destroy the relays, last bastions of civil human trade and research... The Grineer launching assaults on the Ostrons and trying to butcher them...

Brokering peace between warring nations is not as easy as you suggest. Even today there is still frequent war in much of the developing world, war that is egged on by bigger players.

"all of them are from events held years ago" yes years. How fast do you expect technology that's pushing the edges of physical possibility to grow? New weapons like the Razorbacks, the Hyenas, Jackal, and Balors alone have been designed in just the last few years. It's not as though these creations have taken centuries. What has is the *MASSIVE* arsenals of unique weapons that we rely on, *all* of which have been created since the Old war.

And that's not even considering the day to day lifestyle improvements that we don't see because we live in our tiny isolated ships with all the luxuries of the Orokin civilization. You sit in our privileged chair chair and talk of lack of change, but even looking at the improvements to Relay design in the last 7 years of this war shows massive improvements for the day to day lives of citizens.

Yes... She wakes you and tells you what to do. We are a sword. She is the arm that guides us. She is the shadow broker that funds out operation. We build at her behest.

Clearly you're aware that she was with us when that war ended because you've seen Erra. So she was with us when we went to sleep for good. We went to sleep because the system didn't need us. Now it needs us again.

Yes, she operates in the background. A ghost that most have never heard of. That doesn't make her impact any less meaningful.

Told us what to do. Guided us. Honed our destruction. She has been stolen from us and she will be recovered. And if not we will see the system burn in her name.

My blade is the Lotus's. My body is the Lotus's. My soul is the Lotus's.

May we see Mother rise again.

There are so many differing opinions on this it's going to be fun to see which direction DE take the game in isn't it? :D

Either way, it's going to be a pretty epic story, but don't forget that Apostacy Prologue happened in 2017, and how much has any Tenno you or me, done since then to get The Lotus back?

Nothing, we've just continued to play the game as we always have, not having Lotus around hasn't changed anything one single bit, the only thing that changed is she turned purple and her voice glitches every once and a while. you think they would at least have just allowed Ordis to run the show as he does during the Jupiter Sabotage mission.

Why haven't we tried to rescue Lotus? Simple, DE hasn't released the next part of the story arc yet! whatever happens it's going to be good, but the main thing of interest is going to be the fate of Natah/Lotus. I can't see them getting rid of her because she's such an integral part of the game, but it'll lead to some very interesting consequences I think.

I'm going to be honest, for me, Warframe lacks a super villain, we have Vor, Vey Hek, Alad V and so on, but they all have a hint of comedy about them. What Warframe needs is an Arch Nemesis (and I don't mean the minor inconvenience of Kuva Liches when I say Nemesis)

What the game needs (IMO) is someone to pull the strings behind the scenes, to throw obstacles into our path kind of a Warframe Lex Luthor, someone with the power and resources to stop us in our tracks. This could have been Ballas, who has always been seen as "The bad guy" of Warframe, the creator of the Warframes, one of the people responsible for sentencing Margulis to death, the one who betrayed the Orokin's weakness to the Sentients (although, if you listen to his reasoning for this in Sacrifice, you realise he does this as revenge for the death of the woman he loved). Now that Ballas appears to be a broken toy of Natah and Erra, I can't see him having such a pivotal role, that's what makes me think he'll become the new commander of the Tenno, because the parent figure of the Tenno is just a voice saying "A large security force is coming, it's the Grineer", "The Extractor has run out of power, find another powercell", "I'm detecting a large robotic presence" and very little else to impact the flow of the game.

This is what I'm hoping The New War will bring to the table, a new foe, someone to direct our attention towards. This "nemesis" will I believe either be Erra or Natah, I just happen to think that the impact on the player will much greater and have more meaning if it was someone we used to trust rather than some totally new character who was introduced in a cinematic at the end of Tennocon 2019.

Everything else I've been saying is basically flavour text, none of it matters because none of it is real or impacts the game we play one little bit. It's been fun, but my real interest is in what DE makes happen next.

It's going to be good whatever the outcome!

I know the Lotus is not Margulis. That's been clear from the start. Nonetheless she took Margulis' place. She became our Mother. A mimic who too truly mimicked the form and feelings of her mark, who grew attached in her place.

"reprogrammed by the Orokin", I keep hearing this but we heard conflicting messages on this. The current Natah claims this, but she's clearly not in the right of mind, affected by the minds of her family. She still believes she's in the Old War for goodness sake. Ballas (in Chimera) on the other hand claims she was just a bastard the whole time, waiting and biding her time.

Yeah... because her family is affecting her mind... Hunhow literally warned of this. "You betrayed us. As I awake, so will they. They will say you're riven and want to reclaim you. I will not be able to stop them". Her family is reclaiming her, and is using that claim to bring her back into the fold. To manipulate her. To refuse her love.

Also for the record, Margulis didn't leave him. He murdered her to death with Orokin law. Because he's a cruel manipulative bastard who destroys everything he loves. That hasn't changed.

Again, mind control does that... Natah is not herself at the moment. You speak of him as Erra's pet, so you did his quest right? That means you saw her in that. Can you truly say you think she's right of mind then? That she's in control? She doesn't even remember when or where she is.

And him being turned into a chimera is him getting his just deserts... It doesn't suddenly make him a good guy. Let's go over a small sample of the S#&$ty stuff he's done:

    -Get his beloved Margulis killed

    -Create the sentients

    -Weaponize the Tenno

-Abuse a bunch of poor dax and turn them into warframes

-Torture a guy with the infection while playing with his emotions the whole time and threatening a son who he's unable to defend

-Be within hand holding distance of space-mom, a crime punishable by death

Because we're not here to commit genocide and extinctify an entire race of people? Because the different races have unique technologies that can work together to benefit society? Because removing that diversity would put the entire system at risk from external threats?

And hyperspecialization and lack of diversity breed strength? How many of the weapons that we use are of grineer and Corpus design? How much of the technology that benefits the Ostrons and Myconians comes from these two factions? A system at peace, a system in stasis, is a system that's vulnerable.

Much of the medical and scientific research we have today came as a direct result of WWII, and the various conflicts of the Cold War.

I mean the Orokin were rat bastards who had repeatedly abused us and then murdered our Mom... so like... Super wouldn't be surprised if the other Tenno just wanted them dead. I know I did.

But yeah, I'd murder for Space-mom. She's a cool lady.

She established the relays... which we still rely on...

She kept the system alive for the thousands of years we slept...

And the only reason there's no decrease in efficiency is of how much of a framework Lotus built before she left, ensuring that the system was stable enough that it could sustain without her direct involvement. The work she had us put in to protect the system from the worst of the worst, people like Vey Hek and Alad V.

If you know that "Lotus" isn't Margulis then you already accept that she isn't Space Mom. Lotus was a replacement for the original one and only true Space Mom. Some random reprogrammed malfunctioning gynoid will never take her place in the hearts of the true Tenno. Although there are those weak individuals who will cling to any mother figure they see in an attempt to feel needed. What other reason could there be to cling onto the memory of some machine who was programmed to have feelings for them.

Why programmed? because she's a machine, and you don't really brainwash machines, you just reprogram them into doing what you want them to do. After all, it's a thing, not a real person.

Under Orokin law, Margulis was guilty of the crime of Apostacy, to escape her sentence all she had to do was recant or as we say these days apologise. A vote on her sentence was taken by the seven lords of the Orokin, the Executors of which Ballas was one. Even if he had voted to save Margulis it would have been 1 against 6 and the sentence would have been carried anyway. (you can hear all this during The Second Dream quest, Ballas himself begs Margulis to reconsider, says he can do nothing to help her and, after the sentence is passed asks "Why Margulis? Why?")

As for Natah  being herself? Yes she is, because if she wasn't she would still be this false mother figure of The Lotus people seem to want to cling onto so hard.

Genocide. So, It appears that your ok with the systematic murder of an entire race? The killing of men? of women? the slaughter of children? The Tenno are warriors, the Tenno founded the great schools remember? They fought to protect humanity, to keep the peace of the system alongside the Dax and later, after the war the Grineer Troops. No, they aren't made to slaughter millions of innocents, because their guiding figure, their Mother would never allow it. Margulis was a creature of peace, she committed her crime during the Old War, when the Orokin asked that her "children" be allowed to fight for them to aid in the defeat of the Sentients. Her replacement had no such problems as asking children to kill for her, because she's simply doing as she is programmed like any good little automaton.

During The War Within, in the ice caves Teshin tells the Tenno that he's going to release the power within you that Margulis locked away. Locked away? Why? Because the Tenno were too powerful to be controlled otherwise(my assumption, think about it, before transference they were locked away in stasis check Rhino Primes codex entry for more details). Look at the eyes of the Tenno in the Erra quest, look at their eyes, they're the same as the "Hey Kiddo operator" the man in the wall. This is the Tenno in their "controlled state" have you noticed? we can't make our operators eyes look like that? That's because Lotus removed some of the blocks Margulis put in place to enable us to commit her atrocities for her, to allow her to fulfil her function to destroy the Makers for the Sentients (Erra calls Ballas "Maker" during his cinematic). During The War Within, also in the ice caves during one of the flashbacks the Old Queen calls us "patricidal monsters" also, she reveals that the food had all been destroyed, so, what/who did we eat on the Zariman? and, where did all the adults go? Margulis locked our murderous cannibalistic tendencies away only for Natah to release them when the time was right.

Also, why not stop the war and act in the role of peacekeepers? If you think one side winning outright would lead to stagnation, why not broker a peace between the Grineer and the Corpus and then use the Tenno and their Warframes to maintain that peace? The United Nations have been doing that here on Earth for decades.

This war has been going on for centuries, and if the images and cinematics are anything to go by there haven't been any major advances anywhere. Just look at the new intro, apart from being a bit shinier, they're exactly the same Grineer we've always fought. The Corpus have made a few such as Osmium Ospreys update 11.9, 2014) and the Animo project (Ambulas Reborn update 20.4 2017), but all of them are from events held years ago.

Lotus did not build the relays, all the lore says that the Tenno did it themselves as a sign of defiance in the face of the Grineer and Corpus aggression after they awoke. Lotus kept the system alive? how considering that all the Tenno where in stasis until she woke them at the start of Vor's Prize? Lotus is hardly ever mentioned in the lore at all, she's the voice that wakes you, and tells you what to do, it wasn't until 2 years after the launch of the game in 2015 that she became anything more with the release of The Second Dream.

Before that, she was simply the voice that told us what to do, nothing more and nothing less.

She remained that until Apostacy Prologue.

Now, that voice is just a reminder of how it feels to be betrayed by the one you trust the most.

    Death to the False Mother.

God, if Ballas is Space Papa he's such a bastard. I wish he'd go to the convenience store for some Kuva and never come back. He's been nothing but abusive to us and Space mom. She's only with him at this point because of space-stolkholm syndrome.

Not so, the recent developments in the story line have changed this.

The Lotus was never the Tenno's mother, that was Margulis. The machine we knew as The Lotus was simply a sentient spy captured and reprogrammed by the Orokin into masquerading as Margulis, a false mother, and she seems to have fooled every one.

When she abandoned the Tenno at the end of Apostacy, she never even once looked back, not a glance, she just walked into that light with the man she (Margulis) loved and left.

A man she later turned into the first Amalgam after the Tenno wounded him at the end of Sacrifice, yet another instance of Natah leaving again without a backwards glance. During Chimera we can all hear what Ballas thinks of that and his hatred of Natah. He even provides us with the blueprint of a weapon to destroy her. Now he's been reduced to what? Erra's pet? He has every reason to want revenge on what the sentients have done to him and, what better weapons to use than his own creations, his children, his "Frames of War" as he calls them in one of the Vitruvian entries during Sacrifice.

    Think about this,

Since the end of the Old War, ( a war that was won by Hunhow allowing himself to be destroyed making everyone believe that we had won) and the fall of the Orokin, there has been constant war in the Origin System, with the Tenno, led by the Lotus maintaining balance. Why balance? Why not just assist one side or the other in winning the war and bringing stability to the System?

    I'll tell you why.

Because stability breeds strength. Keeping the Grineer and Corpus fighting keeps the system weak, fragmented nice and ready for when the Sentients attack again, A divided foe is much easier to defeat than consolidated one.

Back to the fall of the Orokin. Why did the Tenno destroy them man woman and child? Who ordered this atrocity? If not Lotus then why didn't she stop us? After all, she could have done so, the Tenno seem to want to bend over backwards to please Space Mom and will do anything for her. Anything? what? like wipe out an entire empire and murder its children as they sleep in their beds?

It seems that Natah managed to complete her mission before she calmly and willingly walked through that light and back into the arms of her own people.

Also, the Tenno's de facto leader now that Natah has betrayed us and gone back to her own people is Ordis. He states himself at the end of Apostacy that he will take over supplying us with missions and, not only has he been doing that with no loss of efficiency, he's also integrated another Cephalon into the system along with Railjack deep space operations.

Looking at this, exactly what good was this Lotus character if we're doing just as well if not better without her?

    Goodbye Natah.

    Your not missed.

  20. Think about this . . .

Who is the one person who must hate the sentients more than any other in Warframe at the moment because of what Natah did to him after the end of Sacrifice?

Who gave us a weapon specifically designed to destroy sentients in melee combat?

Who has every reason to turn on them and help the Tenno fight against them after being able to see all their plans being made from the inside?

The False Mother is dead. Long live Space Papa Ballas!
