  1. The d-pad still doesn't scroll lists (this was explicitly cited as being worked on).

The cursor doesn't start at the top of a list when you open a menu.  This is incredibly frustrating with the pause menu.  You have to do this bizarre "where's waldo" of where your cursor is and which d-pad direction you have to push to get ti to snap to some random item on the list before you can know whether you need to go up or down to get to the menu item you want.

D-padding over an item should highlight it.  This not only saves a click on most interfaces, but alleviates the issue of not being able to read what a gear item does without having to first equip it and then go back into the menu.

These three changes would make it considerably more bearable for us controller users.

  2. Even if I agreed with the premise that 90% of the items have unique icons (this is bald-facedly untrue) IT DOES NOT FOLLOW THAT NOT HAVING ITEM LABELS IS BETTER DESIGN.

It doesn't matter that a Braton has a different icon than a Burston.  No one can tell them apart unless they've been using it a while.

  3. The one change that would alleviate everyone's problems would be to not erase one's progress at the end of the season.  Casuals/weekend warriors can keep plugging away at the challenges even if it takes them twenty weeks.  Vets can blow through it quickly and ignore it like they're doing now.  Soloers can skip challenges without having to calculate if they'll have enough standing.

But, since this is what we have, I think lowering the max amount of ranks to 20 or 25 and keeping the 3/7 ew/w challenges would be better than 2/5.

  4. By reducing the number of W/EW nightwave challenges and increasing the standing, you are putting even more emphasis on each individual challenge.  So if there's a particularly onerous challenge (like Profit Taker, Hydrolyst, or making solo players do friend/clan/alliance challenges) skipping it means you're losing out on EVEN MORE standing than you were before.

  5. Fought her twice now, and both times my Smeeta Kavat just disappeared.  Hud showed her as being alive, but she was nowhere to be found.

Also, the final vent you have to destroy sometimes doesn't have ice on it.  You still have to throw thermia at it to "melt it", though.  Also Zuuds transmissions stop playing giving you no indication of what you're supposed to be doing.  I basically had to toss thermia at all of the vents again to figure out what was going on.

Not really a bug, but there needs to be some indication that there's thermia canisters (the red ones) lying around the battlefield, because I was super confused the first time I fought her.  Zuud kept telling me to throw thermia at her, but there was zero indication of where the Thermia was.  At bare minimum, allow a thermia canister to appear at the boss spawn button.  I went back there to see if that was where to get thermia (since you spend thermia to spawn the boss).

  6. I confirmed that all of the steps are necessary.  Opening the ability menu in adaro doesn't crash, only after you've used the large energy pizza does it cause a crash.

EDIT:  Just got a crash without the PIzza.  Must just be the new ability menu specifically Equinox.

  7. Go to Adaro as Equinox

    Use a Large Energy Restore

    Open ability menu

Some of these steps may not be necessary, but I crashed twice doing this.

EDIT: By "ability menu" I mean the new fancy screen that shows you your ability descriptions.
