  1. I’ll second this! The grind gets to be a drag after a while for at least some of us, so that would a great option. Also, to echo some people’s concerns here, are you going properly address concerns with regard to the heirloom collection? This would be largely resolved by having a cosmetics-only option to buy and by guaranteeing this particular collection will return sometime in the future as is the case with prime gear.
  2. The silence from DE on this would seem to indicate that they’re content to ignore the highly vocal feedback from players and sweep the issue under the rug. I totally get that this is a company that needs to earn a living, but this is arguably not the way to do it. Whelp, as long as they continue to give players the silent treatment on this issue, I’m not going to spend ANY money on Warframe. Tennocon made me think “wow - these guys are really knocking it out of the park and listening to the player base. They’ve earned more of my monetary support.” I had actually planned to get those skins and buy the upcoming new Frame and those other deluxe skins… Sadly, This heirloom controversy has made me think twice about that. Silence -at times- speaks volumes.
  3. I think that’s the best way to handle it - x number of shots, book closes to “recharge” when depleted, and then opens again when ready.
  4. Just wow. 73 pages of mostly negative and hostile feedback to the Heirloom Collection changes that sends a very clear signal that DE done messed up with their time gating, restricted bundle offerings and predatory pricing on this collection. It'll be interesting to see how Reb and company react to this thread when they get back into the office tomorrow and what kind of damage control they'll ultimately implement. Will they recognize that their previous changes on the collection were shortsighted and tone-deaf, issue an apology and an actual promise to never engage in this kind of behavior again, and offer the players more reasonable purchase options? Or will they continue to be inflexible, issue some canned reply, and continue catering to the whales, and wind up shooting themselves in the foot with a loaded Kuva Ogris again?
  5. DE is not in any way, shape or form struggling financially right now. They recently hosted an expensive convention with contests that had relatively high value prizes given away. In addition, they dropped $200k on a charity. I can guarantee that they also made a nice tidy profit off convention goers as well. Keep in mind that for every whale that spends $100 on this game, there's probably 5-6 of us little fish spending $25-30 here and there. If you think our contributions (and numbers) don't matter, you're very much mistaken. If we decide to go swim somewhere else because we feel we're not being respected / valued, I'd argue that's going to mark the beginning of the end for Warframe. A game that caters primarily to entitled, narcissistic rich kids is not one that I'm willing to play, much less support financially. I'm pretty sure a lot of other players feel the same way. Angels? Really? Gimme a break...I'd say the real angels are all us players that helped kept DE afloat back in 2013 and stayed with them ever since. Since July 2013, I've logged about 6.3k hours of game time and spent at least $1.6K on plat and items. That doesn't even include the prime access bundles I've bought. How about showing us "little fish" some respect?
  6. Been playing since mid 2013. In addition to stuff I’ve bought through Steam, there’s been a few prime acccess packs I’ve bought as well. DE has gotten a ridiculous amount of support from me for the last 10 years. I’m sure there are a lot more people like me…and I’m not even a Founder. I missed that opportunity. I will be honest…seeing that anyone willing to blow $90 on a skin pack automatically gets a 10 year supporter sticker and then claim they’re as important as founders is a bit frustrating and insulting.
  7. Do you have any idea of how many people would pay $30-$40 for just the cosmetics? A lot. Trust me. Let’s say that for every player that bought the $90 pack, there are 4-6 that didn’t because they thought it was a was a waste of money even though they want the cosmetics…But those 4-6 people would more than likely pay $40 if buying just the cosmetics was an option. DE stands more to gain in terms of sales and good will by giving us players more purchase options, but they’re too shortsighted and stubborn to see this. Bigger nets always catch more fish.
  8. Seriously? The level of sheer entitlement here is off the charts. Founders saved DE from bankruptcy. Y’all are just adding to their profit margins. Nothing more.
  9. Agreed - DE really should have seen this coming. It’s not like they don’t have 10 years of experience dealing with us los- ummm players.
  10. They should probably start renaming this game whaleframe then…
  11. No amount of added plat will shift my opinion on this nor convince me into buying. Now they’re just being stubborn and it’s going to bite them in the end.
  12. So DE thinks the solution is to dump more plat into the package. No thanks.
  13. With all due respect, DE, you all completely ignored all the feedback where some of us reasonably asked for a purchase option to get just the cosmetics as we have no interest in or need for Aya or plat. Currently the ONLY way to get all the cosmetics is to shell out a lot of money for a pack that’s got Aya and Plat in it to let you get more gear. That’s fine for newer players that don’t have Frost or Mag Prime and want them…but it’s a waste of hard-earned money for people that already have those 'Frames and value how they spend their money. What’s so hard about giving us players that already have Frost Prime and / or Mag Prime a reasonable purchase option where only the cosmetics are offered? Honestly, we’d be happy to buy the new cosmetics that way. Right now though, you're losing out on additional sales and losing the respect of your playerbase by keeping bundle options for players intentionally limited and having the whole thing needlessly time gated. Merely increasing the amount of plat in the existing bundles was an arguably tone-deaf move that's answered none of the most outspoken issues (FOMO, restricted and expensive bundle options, etc.) and has only served to polarize and agitate the community further. Shoving in extra plat doesn't change the fact that the top tier bundle is still disgustingly expensive for what is essentially a skin pack for two Warframes. After 10 years of developing one of the best F2P games out there and managing its ever-growing player database, you all REALLY should know better how to treat us.
  14. DE’s handlers want / need some fresh whale meat ASAP I’m guessing.
  15. Yes I do - thanks for clarifying that. Indeed. Well, at least it’s not that hard for us.
  16. That’s disappointing. He’s entitled to his opinion and all, but that kinda comes off as a “don’t want to bite the hand that feeds me” move. Tater on the other hand outright called the pricing “disgusting”. That being said, I’d like to make it clear that my issue with the Heirloom release is the fact that there’s no way to get the cosmetics by themselves and to a lesser extent the fact that the offer will arbitrarily vanish at the end of the year to never return (which is heavily implied). If it were up to me, I’d add the following to the heirloom offer: 1. Mag + Frost comestics only pack 2. Mag cosmetics only pack 3. Frost cosmetics only pack The last two because I’m sure not everyone’s going to want both skins. I think that’s fair.
  17. Thing though is he’s fairly well known in the community and he said he’d do a vid on this particular issue soon. Be interesting to see what brozime has to say on this as well.
  18. From what I’ve seen, content creators are starting to make their feelings known. Eg: Tactical Potato was rather vocal in his criticism of the bundle in his brief synopsis of tennocon 2023.
  19. Death Jester you mean :P As much as I’d love to see that weapon get made, I wouldn’t hold my breath. I feel that opportunity vanished a LONG time ago.
  20. I feel the need to point something out. To those that are arguing that the Heirloom Collection is the equivalent of the original Founders packs...it's not. For starters, buying the old top tier Founders Pack granted a functional Warframe and two weapons to kill stuff with. This was released to get players to help support the game's development at a financially critical moment in DE's history. The Heirloom Collection grants purely cosmetic items and some extra stuff that can be used to get warframes and / or weapons. This was released to commemorate an anniversary and make some extra money. The two things are not the same. In fact the Heirloom Collection is closer to an overpriced Prime Accessory Pack available through Prime Access (the comparison fits because Prime Accessories made available through Prime Access can only be bought with real money). Consider also that very recently DE dumped $200K of spare funds on a charity AND hosted a really expensive convention (easily running in the thousands) in which they gave away prizes that probably weren't cheap to acquire. That should be a huge clue that DE is not a company that's really hurting for funds anymore.
