  1. This kinda makes me think of a point made by another player i saw in the forums, a new player which said a very good point. The early part of the game lacks direction, which would help new players actually pick up the game more.
  2. Context: In devstream 174 Reb mentioned how they were thinking about adding story skip as a function, and the base idea they were discussing was to pay with plat to skip. People seemed very discontent in the live chat replies so she instantly clarified it was still an idea to be though about and planned, to be done actually right. I have a suggestion for that, but first i want to share my point of view: Paying for plat to skip quests make sense as the first think you'd think about. Why? Simple: quests reward you with key things to progress, from some you get only blueprints, but from others it is a requirement to fully build a thing, be that whatever it is, to be able to progress.(Though maybe some of them have changed in that regard, i have not checked) And since you can rush crafting with plat because time is money, this sort of makes sense as a very first basic idea. However if you analyze it a bit more it just kind of falls short. "Pay for plat to skip story" falls short. But the whole concept of "There should be a cost to skip story" still makes sense, because you can't just skip all that work for free, warframe is a looter shooter, but the story is a big part of it. My suggestion: In my eyes there has to be a cost to skip the story of a game like this. It does not have to be only plat though. And doesn't have to be resources, credits, etc. Lets say, if you skip a quest a little alert will pop up, no time limit and whatnot, but when you complete it you get a very run down version of the quest as a normal everyday alert, and after you finish said alert, you just get the quest rewards you would normally get. For example: I skipped the railjack quest, so i go into the alert for it, do a good ol' 30 min survival and maybe after some dialogue that doesn't interrupt gameplay, i get a fully built railjack. Of course, this won't be an end all be all, some quests are gonna be more intricate, like how the hell do you just simply hand over to someone all the operator stuff? Like yeah here, have this weird kid that doesn't move, that's you and btw you can press 5 to swap to them now. The idea is not perfect, but i think it is at least a step in the right direction. I have tried getting friends into warframe, and the grind always is what makes them go away. Would i mind paying plat to let them catch up to me? Yes i would, i don't want to spend plat for that. But also, i want them to like the game for that it is, not for just a small piece of it. I wouldn't want to skip the story for them, because i don't want them to experience the game without it, it's unfair, to everyone really. Point being, honestly i don't like the idea of being able to skip quests, it's bad. But if done in any way shape or form in the future, this is my suggestion for it. These are my thoughts, sorry if i made anyone mad but this is really what i think about this whole thing. Good luck D.E. , kisses.
