  1. I cant recall a single good game where the shop has been open after the event or season ended. But you obviously must have some in mind and there should likely be plenty of them if they are somewhat a norm to you. And why someone would miss the regular window and somehow notice it during a lingering one is very odd, since the lingering one would essentially be the same with its own end date. It isnt like we have a short notice here either, it was up for a about a month and then 2 weeks for the actual timer in-game. Which kinda serves the purpose of a lingering ship. Those 2 weeks with the time present are effectively that. NW doesnt have enough items to really justify waiting until the last minute. You pretty much have tater, tater and nitain. And since nitain is very limited in use, taters are the obvious choice. Hilarious statement that last one! Since what we have in NW currently is exactly what was asked for as the needed addition for NW and the end date. But like I said back then when people asked for an in-game timer, it wont matter, people will complain that they didnt see it and then ask for more. Which will then not be enough and even more things will be asked for, things that then go on being ignored by the players followed by more things asked for. Which involves trading and the risk of potentially bad plat, along with the time you have to spend on trading, finding a buyer and so on. And you most likely also have enough other items to trade on a regular basis if you are into trading to start with.
  2. With the new extra guaranteed acts I'll likely care little what random acts will pop since I can just skip the ones I dont feel like doing and still end up with roughly the same progress as previous NWs.
  3. And I really dont see the abusive part in using the system here as intended with the options presented to us by DE. It's like saying you abuse Baruuk by running 13% duration to easily utilize his restraint mechanic in order to keep his Serene Storm active 24/7. Plus Khora isnt miles above other frames either by building all out for her whip with the best options available, she is still a moderately used frame. It is just that those options actually makes her whip work, more notably together with her augment. Which isnt much unlike other frames building to utilize a high damage skill. But for some reason, because Khora (and Atlas) need a stat stick to get any form of damage out of those skills it is uhm abuse? Even when we have frames that doesnt need stat sticks to pull off massive damage with their skills? Or are we abusing them aswell by just adding run of the mill mods to increase their numbers of death and destruction? I'd say Khora and Atlas make use of a crutch since without their stat sticks they are cripples. What we see or not doesnt really matter. I go on what I can experience solo with the frames. If I went on what I see in groups, neither Atlas or Khora exsist in the game. Congratulations, you just decribed 99% of the skills in the game.
  4. Yeah that makes more sense. But you still only care about Tau. Those spares would get eaten so it would not be possible to place them as hand me downs on other frames since the frame that need Taus would still need those Taus. Each Tau obtained through the "failsafe" in that system would eat 5 normals to get 1 Tau. With the current system we keep all shards so they can be used on lesser used frames whenever we replace a normal on a frame we play often or one that needs Tau to min-max a build. And overall the fusion system would be slower. Since even after 5 rotation you wouldnt really be able to make use of a Tau as a direct upgrade since you'd need to practically eat the power you already have on the frame to gain a 50% increase on a single shard. So say you have 5 red already equipped on a frame, then you'd lose 35% duration or strength if you decide to upgrade after 5 rotations. So you'd effectively have to wait until you have enough shards to make enough Taus for that frame before you see any return from that system. With the current failsafe we know that after a maximum of 5 rotations we will have a straight upgrade for whichever frame and stat we need a Tau,
  5. But at that point the whole collectors items idea is thrown out the window, since we are back at looking at it like any other cosmetic and comparing it to those. The price isnt particularly high for a collectors item, it is high if you look at it as if it was just another item. There is nothing wrong adding limited collectors items no matter where you are at in your success. I for instance enjoy buying collectors editions from artists when it comes to music. Even though they dont really need the revenue from those items, nor that the materials in those items are worth the price being asked. But it is a fun collectors item that simply adds to the value of an otherwise mundane thing. I for instance have a $45 or so Surtur miniature standing infront of me here on my desk which comes from a collectors edition of Surtur Rising by Amon Amarth. If this was just a regular miniature it would probably cost uhm $10 at most. I'd like to hear those reasons. Since all I've seen throughout the years regarding the specific company in question is a massive amount of misconceptions and mistaking it for a subsidiary within that company. I've had the same misconceptions until I started to actually look those things up when they got involved in PoE which I played at the time. I'm fairly happy that they dont treat founders and CCs differently, since there is zero reason to because their status is not a guarantee for any extensive knowledge on any matter over any other player. Most CCs on YT are straight up horrible and produce the most meaningless crap with flashy titles, the content itself is pretty much like highlighting that water is wet.
  6. I'll use what I use now, an arcane (Grace or Reaper) or a companion with synth deconstruct and/or hunter recovery. But it depends on his actual stats. Plus he has passive radiation on everything, so enemies should fight eachother mostly since they'll be closer to eachother compared to you.
  7. They scale pretty quickly and the damage of spores is per spore. So if you see 3k damage it deals up towards 9k damage if the target is inflicted by the max amount of spores, which isnt exactly hard to manage since they spread whenever you kill or directly hit them and apply to everyone within spread range and adds a further spore up to the cap. You quite quickly hit a point in endless where spores kill so fast on their own that you risk having them not spreading. And with the upcoming shard options, if the leaked info makes it to live, Saryn will also be able to strip all armor very effectively. I wouldnt call it abuse when the skills are designed the way they are with intent, to the point where it is mentioned in the tooltip even. I also love that people rain hell on Khora when Atlas is just as ape these days with his Landslide and the gearing options available. Now I wouldnt mind a removal of stat sticks and the skills becoming self sufficient in modding. But it is risky to ask for it, since we might end up with an exalted vs regular melee situation, where the thing that should be the better option for the frame in question is quite a bit worse than a regular weapon. And exalteds will likely see normal melee widen the gap even further with the WitW update due to Tenno-Kai and Arcanes for regular melee.
  8. It really depends which playstyle you prefer. In endless there are few situations where you actually ever worry about energy on Ember, She is practically indestructible aswell, more so now with further natural DR on shields. I prefer neither Ember or Gauss atm, if I want a heavy nuke frame I rather beat people with dead horses as Dagath.
  9. As others have mentioned Dual Toxocyst or Furis Incarnon are really good. Just make sure to mod for some punch through on Dual Toxocyst since it makes the incarnon form even more deadly. Other than that there is always Laetum aswell, and Angstrum Incarnon is pretty decent.
  10. Not only do they not need to hug the motes to get/keep buffs, Oberon also doesnt provide a buff (or 2) that you might not want at all in your build. I absolutely hate when I get a forced hate mote on me, since mostly I've already build for the fire rate I actually want. And since the mote only provides fire rate/attack speed and not some additional reload speed or ammo efficiency I really dont want it when I dont need it. Same with the shock mote, very annoying when you get it in a random group. I can live with both those motes in use on my own Wisp, since I've built her to work with those motes. At the same time I never bring Wisp when I'm grouping with others since I dont wanna #*!% up their builds. Same as I dont bring Revenant with Mesmer Skin augment to groups, since it can actually screw with the builds of others. Oberon doesnt have that problem since everything is just beneficial when it comes to buffs and the same goes for his debuffs, unless the Oberon has way to much range and spread radiation across the whole tile and slowing it down to a crawl through infighting among enemies. I think Oberon and Citrine are without a doubt my two prefered supports, both to play and when others play them. Citrine taking the top spot due to her ability to spawn an abundance of health and energy orbs while also being affinity range based on her buffs, with the group also improving the strength of her defense.
  11. Regarding armor strip. People should consider that with the release of Qorvex we'll get access to new shards and we just got Barrage updated with Hydroid. So if the shards will include some of the bonuses that were leaked in the Devstream, all frames will have several reliable armor strip options through Helminth, or by going back to the old and grab it on our weapons while grabbing viral from Helminth (or both if you grab Barrage+Augment). And since he is very likely a high hp and high armor frame there shouldnt be much problem slotting 2 corrosive shards on him along with whatever else he might want like cast speed, some duration or wee strength to hit some cap etc. If his status immunity skill does only that, grant status immunity, I will have no problem ditching it for a defense strip of some kind or Nourish. And if his 1 has no real synergy aside from pulsing more often if hit by the walls I'll have no problem replacing that skill either since it is a stationairy in a game where we constantly move. Plus a stationary that inflicts radiation either through itself or through his passive is not really something I wanna leave behind either since it #*!%s up mob spawn flow etc.
  12. How? 2x fusion would result in a guaranteed Tau every 2 rotations. Red, blue, yellow, red(tau), blue(tau), yellow(tau), red, blue, yellow, red(tau), blue(tau), yellow(tau) etc. The RNG protection is 20/20/20, 40/40/40, 60/60/60, 80/80/80, 100/100/100. That said I prefer the RNG protection system since I dont need to spend normal shards to get Tau, meaning I'll have normals to use either on frames I dont play as much, or on those that dont need Tau in their min-max.
  13. I understand the "why" in their hate, but I still dont understand the hate. It is just very onesided. I mean, seriously, people are sitting there and saying it is predatory, while playing the free game it is part of, where the thing they see as predatory is nothing but 100% optional. Not only that, they bring up things such as Tencent as if Tencent is still the Tencent of the past. Not that the assumptions regarding Tencent of the past were true either, since people confused the holding company Tencent with the developer/publisher Tencent Gaming. If people are going to drag in such outside influences maybe they should atleast try and keep the information recent, and not live 10 years in the past, when people used the "blame China" angle for anything Tencent related, an angle that has been gone for several years due to the shift in share spread. But it is easier to just blame randomly. People should likely look up what Tencent actually does before jumping to conclussions. Buy lots of S#&$ that they never have to worry about actively and profit from it overtime. Holding companies dont buy successful brands and companies because they think they need to improve them, they buy successful brands and companies because they are already successful and know what to do. One only needs to look at other companies where they are involved, like Path of Exile, which is exactly the same pre- and post-Tencent, both when it comes to monetization and content. Another thing with people calling this predatory etc. is that they completely willingly ignore the whole supporter idea with the pack and treat it as just regular cosmetic releases. I'd get the hate if this was a method used at all times, with cosmetics being available only during a specific time window with a high price. But it isnt. It is 1 pack over the course of 10 years. Then there is also the part that this is a collectors item, done by a past DE artist. So it is kinda like going to a gallery and telling the owner that you are only willing to pay for the raw worth of the canvas and the paint of a painting no matter who the artist is. So in my eyes the complaints and hate just look very very selfish. I wont own the pack, I have no wish to own the pack because I simply dont find the skins appealing to me. Just as I wont be using the upcoming operation laurel halo thing, since it just doesnt appeal to me.
  14. Regarding the time gate it should be mostly solved in the update. Since we'll get new activities that will also provide more shards per week. If those arent too restrictive it shouldnt be a problem. The main issue now is 2 per week and content that isnt replayable to get more. If we get a sensible amount of weekly activities that provide shards the gating should really only be a problem for the absolutely most die hard farmers/grinders. But by the sounds of it, we'll be able to run the new activity a couple of times over per week for shards/materials, and then we also have the veilbreaker modes for the other 2 shards per week. And while some see power creep here with 3 more shard types added, I dont really see it, since we are still limited to 5 shards per frame. So the power is relatively the same as with the current shards, just with more options and deeper build potential, things that WF needs more of overall imo.
  15. One cast is enough. Puncture caps at 5 stacks since the update that added the 25% critical hit bonus. That's why Roar applies 5 instead of the old 10 now.
  16. I honestly dont understand the haters. It is a supporter pack. Like I've done in other games, I'd buy it no matter what was in it really if I wanted to support the company a bit extra. Since that would have been my main goal in such a case and the goodies inside a bonus for my showed support. It wouldnt matter if it didnt perfectly or even nearly match the price per item of things I can otherwise buy 24/7 in the game. The people that gave (and likely will give) other people flak for buying these packs, what petty and small people they must be. Wonder how they are IRL, Grown ups throwing a fit on the floor during xmas because their grown up sibling got a gift worth slightly more by their parents? My suggestion to you regarding the pack. Do you want the stuff? If so pick it up, dont let others tell you what you should or shouldnt enjoy/want. I mean, this isnt a matter of life and death, so if someone feels you betray them or that you are disloyal they might aswell #*!% off imo.
  17. I'm running a Reinforced Stomp+Piercing Roar build with around 200% strength for +100% Roar buff. Either in a build with Breach Surge or Nourish. After the initial cast of Iron Skin, Stomp is enough to keep it up as needed, and Piercing Roar is a quick and easy debuff that bring max stacks of puncture for lowered enemy damage output, meaning Iron Skin takes less damage since the damage reduction is placed on the mobs and not on Rhino. And more crit for me! The Breach Surge build is so very abusive in SP Cirtcuit and SP Duviri Bonus gates. Stomps and Surge totally #*!%s up eximus and you are immune to all statuses with Iron Skin. For other content I tend to run Nourish since I love the free viral, extra energy and passive crate opening. Maxed efficiency so I can stomp and roar all day long.
  18. The claim I made is true, since they'd pay to have less to do (robbed doesnt positively mean lose everything). The farm is removed, meaning a major reason to run the mode is gone. Sure some might pop in to see what it is about, but that is all subjective and proves my point, that it isnt an objective advantage to pay for something in WF. "Not having to" is not an objective advantage, since those that play it to farm likely dont mind it in the first place. But your use of the word "grind" instead of "farm" for new content also makes it seem like you are at a "burned out" state when looking at WF. I would hate to pay for anything since I enjoy hunting and farming for loot, it is the whole reason I play games like WF. If I payed I would have less reasons to engage with my hobby, i.e rob myself of time otherwise spent on the hobby I love. So you refuse to see that your own references provided speak against your personal idea of P2W. You could have just said that. This while also having failed to state any actual objective advantage a player gets over another by paying. There should be plenty of them if the game was P2W.
  19. Tthose are intended to play that way with a very select few skills. That is done so they can stay in their channel state longer. All those frames practically get TTL through their synergy skill. And what the hell does Titania have to do with anything. She's just another exalted frame and last I checked none of them except Mesa are locked out from using their kit while having their exalted mode toggled. And Titania, while not having proper animations, casting skills still stops her ability to shoot or do anyhting else if it is a full body animation skill. Styanax neither animated skills nor had javelins stop casting while he used another skill during it. You can recall all you like, it doesnt matter if one skill out of all worked that way or not and there is no way to check it in the end either. Yet another thing not even implied. And yet another confusing comment from you. So you like just having a skill active that likely does nothing at all in the end since you are probably never at the correct range for it to deal damage? After 45 seconds you've only dealt around 100k damage with Aquablades if it deals damage every single second it can. That is 2 casts from Final Stand with baseline stats. Meaning if you rely on the skills to kill something with 100k health, it would take Aquablades 45 seconds and Last Stand 5 seconds. Sure that likely isnt a situation we'll ever have, but the shear damage of Last Stand lets you skip doing other things, like applying statuses and so on from other sources. So Aquablades allowing you to do those things while it is active doesnt matter. And when we start to include modding Last Stand pulls even further ahead, since now it is also a massive group TTL buffer, which also applies to you and your companions. When you start modding Aquablades you get more meaningless damage and maybe more duration. I'm also not sure which frame you'd ever want to use Aquablades on even, when you can simply just slot Roar, Eclipse, Nourish or Whisper instead and get alot more damage out of it if all you want is a long lasting skill. Atleast those would always apply their benefit as they have no range requirements etc. So will atleast buff your weapons you use eitherway. It is why I dislike playing Yareli since I want to get rid of both her fish stick and aquablades but cant. No those are the benefits of rolling. The miniscule damage you deal in the roll while AB is active will have no impact on if the mob dies or not. So you could have just aswell had a simple self buff that just buffs your damage since the mob you just rolled through would die quicker afterwards to your weapon or other skill damage compared to the wee S#&$ty damage aquablades manages to deal during the fraction of a second you passed through the mob. Wouldnt matter in any case, since AB already has issues killing charges effectively. And even without armor, a simple Lancer has higher EHP. So zero reason to hope Aquablades performs better versus Grineer. No not really, since it is true. The skill is just that weak and has mechanics that limits it even further to have any practical use. As I said, with guns you are most often too far away, with melee you are most often too close. With melee at most you deal a single tick, and it is questionable if you even get the full "tick" in the small window where you are the right range. That is what you said. Which pretty clearly seems to intend you are comparing Dagath skills to Sevagoth skills. Then I asked what was similar between the two and you just line up skill numbers without actually saying you are refering to Dagath and not answering what was actually asked. But that isnt at all what I said. This was about the specific stat you implied changed playstyle i.e Life Steal. Adding Life Steal wont change what something does. It wont turn a melee into a gun etc. If you already played melee or ranged you can continue doing the same no matter if life steal is there or not. And just as wrong as above aswell. If meatball wasnt a part of Grendels kit, or if meatball worked like say baseline Assimilate, then yeah the augment would have changed his playstyle. But adding a simple launch function doesnt change the playstyle, it only adds an additional function.
  20. No it just means we look at different things when it comes to weapon stats. You on the paper alone, me on how they actually work in the game and considering how the game is set up. You still failed to answer me in that discussion how a mob with more health would promote using a single target weapon when the mob only came with more health and nothing else. You failed to answer what would make it a primary target with just more health, how it would suddenly be a focus like a demo or even a guardian. Not to mention your obscene stacking of only conditional mods, that would require the gun to be used versus everything else aswell just to be ready for the higher hp mob that poses no additional actual threat. Nope, not at all since we are talking about objective(s) vs objective. It is the second version you cannot provide any example of that which could result in actual P2W, since nothing we pay for results in an objective advantage over another player. The acronym/term itself does it. And the definitions demand "advantage over" in order to fullfil the "win" paramenter of the acronym itself. We have no "advantage over", not a minor, nor a significant/major one as the references refer to. Since the advantages are subjective in all cases. Latest isnt best, skipping isnt a guaranteed gain for every player, power isnt linear, access to optimal power cannot be gained through paying, you cant buy anything progress related that is otherwise unobtainable through farming, we share goals in a group, we share loot in a group, we share xp in a group (having others kill can actually be beneficial) and so on. Which also removes the P2W angle one of the references apply to NPCs, since we cannot buy anything otherwise unobtainable through farming that brings more power than otherwise possible. The only thing paying would do is letting you fight those mobs earlier than if you wouldnt, but it isnt an advantage over the NPC, since you are still limited by the same power ceiling of the game, so your power would be the same when you face them as if you'd farmed the item instead. So no power advantage over the NPC that wouldnt be there otherwise anyway. So Pay-to-Skip, Pay-to-Progress or Pay-for-Conveniance. And you said those that pay can play it whenver they want and stop when they wish. Which means you imply that those that dont pay cannot do the same, since you specified that those that pay can. No reason to specify that one side can do something unless you mean the other cant. Or if you think there is a reason, what would that be?
  21. I want Fortuna back and I want both the open worlds in their pre-TNW state. OV just looks dirty, like at the end of winter as the snow melts and I utterly hate that, it is the worst part of a season. And PoE just looks so disjointed, as if the sentient pieces are just props glued ontop as if it was a wargaming table. And what made new PoE feel very wierd was during Plague Star. Set in a post-TNW era but for some reason Narmer were nowhere to be seen?
  22. I'm always amazed by people that for some reason wait, either until the last minute or until it is too late. Like people doing their holiday food shopping the last day possible and complain <insert random food/ingerdient here> isnt in stock, preferably also done at the later part of the day so the chance to get what you are after is even lower.
  23. That would just reintroduce what made Steel Path so boring at first, a very narrow choice of frames to increase KPM as much as possible for more Eximus spawns. And if survival was based on KPM it would end up exactly as Khora/Baruuk Path. As to the OP idea. Sounds like a good reason to create a new game mode. Pablo said during tennocon 2022 iirc that they arent keen on reworking current modes, since players may enjoy their current state, so they rather make new modes. Which is why we probably saw all the Zariman modes that are similar to other modes but different without impacting other modes.
  24. Would love it. Aslong as the life support is paused during the Angel part.
  25. That is still unrelated to this topic. So still nothing objective when it comes to advantages you can spend cash on. Those are two different meaning of the word objective. One is a task/goal, something you achieve, which is the one refered to in the quote you provided. The one regarding WF and P2W is objective as in not influenced by feelings or opinions, or in short something that could be considered concrete facts. The opposite of subjective. All of them, including the silly one from esports.net even though it refers to lootboxes and skins. Advantage over other players etc. Things that refer to winning over someone else, which we just cannot do in WF. And advantages in WF are subjective and based on the desires, needs and goals of each individual player. In games like those I mentioned earlier it isnt subjective, since if you are behind others for some reason you will have a worse experince than others, so if someone can pay for power in those games they'll effectively have a higher chance at winning over you even in PvE. Since they will outfarm you in an area, or if PvP is involved, kill you and take over the area you farm in etc. And in some games it even goes to the extreme where solo players can hold of whole groups since they've payed while the group hasnt. When was the last time you got driven off from an area in WF, or had someone steal your mobs and leave you loot- or xp-less? Or when was the last time another player killed you and killed your spot? Or did your Saryn suddenly fall behind because a guy bought the Inaros Prime PA while you didnt. Did that Inaros player suddenly outfarm you, outperform your Saryn? Or that guy that bought the Grendel PA and suddenly outperformed your Exodia Zaw or Kzarr/Torid/Knukor with their Masseter Prime and Zylok Prime?
