  1. The laser rifle is a companion weapon. Are you sure that's not the mod you got?
  2. Take it up with Nintendo. DE don't have control over this issue.
  3. That's how rng works. The "R" stands for random. The odds don't change just because you already have a barrel. And you only have 3... so your sample size is way too small to suggest anything. If you said you have 30 and none of the other parts, maybe you could suggest the odds are incorrect (or you'd just be super unlucky). The wiki takes the drop chances directly from DE's loot tables. Definitely don't edit the loot tables because of 3 barrels.
  4. Not a bug. They're playstation exclusive.
  5. https://digitalextremes.zendesk.com/hc/en-us Only support can help.
  6. Screenshots would probably help. Otherwise I'm just blindly guessing.
  7. I did it solo a couple of times, 10-15min. It's usually quicker in squads though, less than 10min (unless you get some numpty outside the circle killing).
  8. I'll save you a potential headache. Don't bother asking. The person you quoted has little to no idea, and as you can already tell from their response, has poor communication skills. You will not get a coherent response. Their constant ramblings about liquidity and speculation are strong indicators they either don't know what they're talking about, or have poor communication skills (most likely both). Even when you ask a very simple, easy to understand question, which is basically a yes/no answer, they still can't even answer that much. It's almost funny how they believe their input is valid, when they can't even use simple, coherent language to convey their opinion. Almost.
  9. Have you completed the most recent quest, "whispers in the walls"? Completing that quest will unlock another 5 or so nodes.
  10. The brand new mission, not the old ones. If that were true, they would've learnt their lesson by now, and we wouldn't have a new archon shard missions which is both timegated and RNG. But yes, I do of course concede they do respond when RNG is blatantly horrid. Just be nice if they recognise the player impacts so we don't have to revolt to make change happen. I can pretty much guarantee, there's thousands of players who's loot does not reflect the drop tables. That's how variance works. Only once you get into very large number of trials will your loot look closer to the drop tables. (I think you mean part of the <1% that have to farm it 10 times for 1 drop) The problem is that, everyone will find themselves in this situation (if you play long enough). So no matter what we're looking, whether it be corrupted holokeys, archon shards (which are already timegated), or relics, everyone will have a bad run of luck. Unfortunately, some people are extra unlucky and cop it more often. That's just how RNG works. They've definitely made some improvements, but it always feels like DE take a long time to learn from their mistakes (and often repeat their mistakes several times). For stuff that can be traded, there already exists that sort of "pity system". But for everything else, they could make some improvements there. If we take the new archon shard missions as an example (I don't know the drop rates so I'm taking a guess here), if the intention is to have "on average" 2 extra shards per week, they could've just added stock as a guaranteed reward and added those two shards to chippers store. That way no one ever has to deal with sh*try luck, so now we don't have to feel like crap just cause RNG didn't bless us. The "good feeling" of (ocassionally) getting 3 shards from the new mission doesn't offset the sh*t feeling of getting none imho. And so I extend that concept to corrupted holokeys. If the intention is, on average, to get 10 holokeys every 3-4 missions, just give 2-3 guaranteed every mission. Cuts down on all the BS. (Or make the ergo glast weapons tradeable)
  11. Given the size of the playerbase, that still leaves a lot of tennon in that "improbable" zone, unfortunately. That could still mean several thousand players in this horrible situation. The lower the drop %, the worse the variance e.g. the easier it is to get a bad run. It basically guarantees a bad experience for some players. So while it's true that, in theory, they had a 99% chance to get at least one corrupted holokey drop, that's not really applicable at the individual player level. Using cumulative distributions has its uses (e.g. it can help understand the underlying distribution), but in this case, all it tells us is that Op was unlucky. If you look across the entire playerbase, the distribution would look similar to the drop tables, however at an individual player level, it often won't. I really wish DE would acknowledge the huge variance amongst the player's experience and how this impacts overall enjoyment. (Pity system for the archon shard missions, when...)
  12. Why is that a problem? Why not merge them, and then you can play the new merged account on any platform. Edit: "Only accounts created before November 24 at 2 p.m. ET, which did not previously undergo a PC-to-console account migration, will be eligible to Merge." This bit I'm guessing is this issue. That's a bit of a bummer. I guess I'm just having a bit of an issue understanding what you could be losing. I'd have assumed one account would be further along and overall "better" than the other account.
  13. Yeh, a chance. Could do all 5 and get none. How long until they add the pity mechanic to this new mission. At least with khal and archon hunt the base archon shards are guaranteed. What was the point to add a new mission but only have a CHANCE at an archon shard. I thought we'd learnt some lessons with the tau forged issues... hence the pity system. But we've got the exact same thing again, now it's for base archon shards as well.
  14. Warframe is NOT a stock market. There are currently NO liquidity issues, plat changes hands quick freely at the moment. Items don't typically change hands often, so it's not like Warframe is some sort of busy stock market. There's also no derivatives markets or anything like that. There's not a lot of speculative trading going on. Some people might hold onto prime sets until they get vaulted and sell once the price rises, but its not speculative trading, there's not that many buying up sets to sell later. If you're looking to make plat selling prime sets, the best thing to do is farm and sell brand new primes in their launch week. There's also a few who collect veiled riven mods prior to a new, potentially popular prime weapon release in the hopes of unveiling them to get said new weapon, but that's about it. If there were hundreds of thousands of sellers, but still the same 100 buyers, that could create a liquidity issue. Now it's 1000 times harder to sell. I still don't understand why you want to see prices fall? They're already very low in many cases. Why do you want to make it harder for new players to make plat? What value is there to gain by doing that? On the surface it might sound easy for a new player to just list their prime junk, but if no one is buying it, then a new player can't make any plat. The PC market will heavily influence the prices once cross-platform trading becomes available, after some initial adjustment period. PC has at least 50% of the overall playerbase afaik, so it would make sense to see prices settle close to what PC is today. That's just math. Us console tenno will just have to deal with it. Absolutely nothing will change that. It would be nice if alecaframe could be incorporated. As a console tenno, I have nothing comparable. It probably wouldn't make any difference to me, but I do worry a little when I see newer players take bronze reward over a silver/gold. But perhaps they're choosing that bronze for a reason, e.g. to complete a set, so maybe they would still choose that reward either way. It almost sounds like you don't actually want an auction house? Which was the entire point of this conversation.... if all you were pushing for was "something else", but perhaps you didn't actually mean an auction house, then you've definitely gone about it the wrong way.
  15. And instead of 2 sellers, we now have 20, or maybe 200 sellers, and the same number of buyers. What is about supply and demand that alludes you? Supply goes up, prices come down. Right... which is the biggest issue. An auction makes this worse, not better. Remember, supply up, prices down. It would take longer to earn enough plat to buy slots, reactors, forma etc. Overall it actually worsens the new player experience. The sheer volume of stuff sitting in peoples inventories is staggering; and it only keeps growing. An auction house opens all this supply to the market.
  16. Not sure if you realise, this is a forum. Not some personal messaging service. Anyone can be involved in the discussion. So wait... in all your ravings, you've got absolutely no idea, and now you want me to provide some numbers for you? If you want the exact numbers, you could try asking OP. Feel free to give it a go yourself. You might learn something. A quick google search showed similar conversations, some that were 5+ years old. None of this is news to me. Basics of currency exchange, differences between economies and buying power, regional pricing etc. All well established concepts. Maybe ask your math or business teacher next time your in school. The warframe wiki has some plat prices, which looks like they're the old prices (I.e. they may not have updated those tables yet). Perhaps you might like to start there. Keep in mind, none of that will explain the currency differences, nor the vast differences between economies. I don't mind if you want to keep replying though, I was just trying to give OP a break. I just have to be careful to not let my IQ get dragged down with yours.
  17. Back at ya champ. If we go back to your original comment about it being a "fix", is where you started off on the wrong tangent and you just kept going from there. Clearly no understanding whatsoever. It's one thing to try reduce some of variability, but pushing prices up (in some cases by a very large increase), is just blatantly ignoring the issue. So you've got what, half a dozen comments, none of which are remotely close to the issue. Just keep burrying your head in the sand. Your assertion seems to be that, for example, two people living in different countries, one with a salary of $100/wk and another with a salary of $1000/wk, they should have to pay the same amount for goods and services?
  18. Said the person who still doesn't understand regional pricing. It's not some unique phenomenon for Steam. It's a very real thing that exists all across the globe. OP was simply interested in understanding if DE will take it to into consideration given the recent Steam changes. You obviously can't have an answer to the question, so why continue to add absolutely zero value to the conversation. Just to make yourself look like a fool, I guess. Well played.
  19. That's because you're deliberately using obtuse language to sound smart, but in reality you sound like you have no idea what you're talking about. So well done, once again, not addressing the issues. And with an auction house, they'll now have to sell 120 pieces to buy 1 warframe slot. You continue to ignore the the significant drop in value for common items... the thing new players trade to make their plat. If new players have nothing of value to trade, they'll simply stop playing. They're not going to go magically buy plat. And if the new players dry up, warframe as a whole is going to struggle. So if you have any evidence whatsoever which might support your theory, feel free to share. Otherwise, you simply continue to sound like conspiracy nut.
  20. Agreed. I wouldn't say it's the worst experience, but there's always room for improvement. They need to give 30+ weapons to choose from. At least then I might have a decent chance to get something enjoyable. While it's true that decrees can help make most weapons viable, that doesn't make them enjoyable. Warframe has always been about choice, so it seems strange to me to include a game mode that effectively removes that aspect.
  21. This is pretty much the only bit that made any sense to me. So yeh. All my common stuff is now worthless. Uncommon stuff would drop by ~50% in value (just taking a wild guess). Rare stuff possibly drops 20-30% in value. Super rare stuff probably holds most of its value. That's not a good thing. That's basically a market crash. So why do you want an auction/trading house? Or do you just want to see the market crash?
  22. Pardon? I honestly have no idea what you mean sorry? Is this just some tinfoil hat moment, where you're suggesting that warframe.market can be manipulated, and that's why you want an in-game auction/trading house? And yet still choosing to completely ignore the significant supply-side increase that would bring (and the follow-on price reduction)? Maybe your interpretation of "auction/trading house" is somehow different to everyone else? I just can't understand how an auction/trading house in-game wouldn't substantially increase supply, leading to a significant price reduction? You're argument seems to be ... well I'm not sure, that you seem to just not believe it at all? If we consider the average number of trades per day per player, it's probably less than 1 (my number of trades per year is probably 5-10). An auction/trading house would allow me to list 30 items per day. Surely you can see how that could increase supply.
  23. Have you got any evidence to the contrary? Supply/demand is a well established concept. So I'm a little confused as to how you seem to completely disregard it?
  24. While there are aspects of a real-world stock market that don't typically exist in warframe, that doesn't magically remove the basic concept of supply and demand or how that affects pricing. The current restrictions of the trade system keep supply low, which helps maintain a healthy competition within the market, to help keep healthy prices (rivens are perhaps a different beast). An auction/trading house effectively removes many of those supply-side restrictions, which would result in a decrease in prices (particularly for common items). On one hand, if you're someone who buys plat, this makes everything cheaper. However, if you're someone who is F2P, it now becomes more difficult and time consuming to accumulate plat. So, for example, instead of it taking ~30-60min to earn enough rewards and sell some items to be able to buy a new warframe slot, it could take hours. This would result in a significantly worse experience for new players (particularly the F2P), and they would effectively be forced to buy plat to keep playing (of which many would simply stop playing).
  25. Most welcome. I know it's so insignificant, but the fact they're Afuris and not AKfuris like the rest, irks me.
