What person sees a time-wasting mechanic and says "now THAT is what I have been looking for in a game"?

Me evidently. However I don't see it as a waste of time. I enjoy playing warframe and "change of plans" is just more of what I was enjoying anyway. What I particularly like about it is an added sense of immersion in a living world that excists beyond the player. "Change of plans" gives the impression that The Lotus is activly coordinating the mission and making decisions based on new information she is receiving rather than just being a audio way-marker.

Except that Lovecraft was a massive racist. Shadow Over Innsmouth, for example, was him ranting over "race mixing." The guy named a black cat he had N- Man. It definitely was not a coincidence,

I always found it odd for a racist to name their cat that. Why name something you love after something you hate? Doesn't make sense to me. I'm arachnophobic and would never dream of giving a pet the name Spider. To clarify I'm not denying Lovecraft was racist, this was just something I always found odd.

mhm. But in the case of kuva lich kill i would have to do certain taks. Spawn a lich with a specific weapons, which takes ~ 2 hours. Kill that lich that's ~ 2 hrs and half in the worse case scenario. That's a rather boring process.

The lich needs a specific weapon to count for nightwave?

This one reminded me of the times before Gas City remaster when DE mentioned those camera laser walls and said something like: " We want to change it from 'punishing for being spotted' to 'rewarded for being unseen' "... So, where is it implemented? What I see now are those scanners that enable toxic and electric traps when you walk through them.

Those scanners are it. I think the idea is that it shifts the punishment from something largely out of the players control (in that the pace the game is generally played at no one has time to think about camera LoS) to something fully in their control. Also instead of being hit with a jarring break in the flow of combat you instead avoid taking extra damage.

What do you mean? We are better than Orokin, we will treat them well and we will provide equal opportunity for everyone. But look, man, someone has to press that button.

Lol I imagine tenno taking it in turns to be actual crew. You complete a mission, had fun flying the ship blasting stuff, now back in the wall. It'll be a while till your turn comes back around.

Why radio and not like, a video stream window in the corner of your magic visor's enhanced reality UI, or a holographic projection on your spaceship's center console? I do actually like your theory that Nora is basically nobody, implying she randomly stumbled into a Tenno audience thanks to the Wolf.

@TARINunit9 good info, thanks for that!

It might not actually be radio, just referred to as such. Like how disc jockeis haven't used discs for ages now. It also helps get the idea across. In spirit Nightwave is akin to a pirate radio station whether she is using radio or a different tech more fitting to her time.

  7. Story wise having four tenno crew a railjack seems kind of wasteful. They generally aren't doing anything a normal human crew could do just as well. It seems like having human pilot and gunners with tenno passenges for repeling borders and away missions would be more efficient. It would have been interesting if railjacks had been controlled via transference. It would make a tenno crew necessary and truly make a railjack stand apart from conventional craft.

  8. It's hard to understand. When they open up it just doesn't look like it would work. I think it would work if they were striped back to essential components and jammed in there. But keeping the whole thing intact looks to take up too much room. It's also an unnecessary nicety that doesn't seem very Corpus. Aesthetically I just don't like it either. This and purple Lotus is why I use streamer mode. It's nice for me I have the option to turn off these two particular dislikes of mine.

The short answer is because they want to

The long answer will involve putting words in their mouth, but I want to take a look at some context clues. How Archwing has averaged about one update a year. How Archwing literally did not factor into Railjack balancing on launch (players discovered that Archguns outdamaged every RJ weapon option; the devs responded with a blanket 90% damage nerf that lasted until RJ Revisited). Modular weapons are usually just set and forget by the devs, only once have they ever added extra options to an existing set after launch (adding 444 Amps to Onko's shop). The lack of Itzal, Elytron, and Amesha primes

I think Modular Archwing is an excuse for the devs to stop caring about releasing new Archwings. We never got new Kitguns after Fortuna, we never got new Zaws after Plains (if you count Plains and Plague Star as one event, which I do). And now we never get new Archwings

But again, that's only if i put words in their mouths instead of asking them

Didn't Hok get a couple of new strikes? I would swear he didn't originally have the nikana and heavy blade ones.

I read that you collect pickups in the Forge, and you can decide if you want to craft payloads for the railjack or refine them. If you do the latter, they go to your inventory. If you go on another mission, the resources stay in the Forge for future use. If you go back to the dojo, these resources go in your inventory, without refining them.

At least this is what I've read.

But there are still hazy details. Do all players collect these resources together, or what I see in the Forge are only my pickups? When we go back to the dojo, am I getting my own pickups only, or each piece of resource gets shared? I don't know, and the game doesn't inform about this anywhere.

As I understand all pickups in railjack are shared. So the forge collects and shows resources from each player. Once you return to dock each player gets a copy of everything that was collected during the mission. I haven't looked in to this extensively but I'm confident enough this is how it works.
