I really think the standing limit should be the same for everyone and not scale with mr. It seems unfair for newer players , everyone should get an even amount of daily standing , (25,000 maybe?) This Wouldn't hurt their business model and would also make it easier for newer players to progress

Terrible idea. I didn't grind all the way to Legendary 2 just to have the same daily standing as everyone else. I think at base there should be an increase but the scaling should remain. Without incentives like that then what's the point in grinding beyond MR20?

The problem is the exact same thing that keeps DE from just allowing account transfers all willy nilly and that is Sony, Microsoft and now Nintendo.

Yes but cross-save/play is something that is on it's way to being a norm. Many games now have allowed cross save to exist, and Sony is beginning to relent on the subject.

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vice.com/amp/en_us/article/mbmp4v/it-seems-true-cross-play-is-finally-coming-to-playstation-4

I believe Warframe would make a wise choice in pushing for cross-save, and many other games have done so and succeeded.

Conversely, with console colored platinum trades, I would be able to farm red platinum and buy Tennogen on the switch, where currently I would have to buy with actual cash on PC, and this wouldn't harm the  tennogen author.

I guess I'm not really understanding what you're saying here, considering platinum isnt something you "farm for" unless you're stocking up on parts and selling them, which brings me to my previous question; What happens when a player from one platform wants to buy something from another? The value of platinum is not the same between the two platforms, can they just not trade? What if someone buys 250 red platinum but turns out they need green platinum? Do they then turn around and buy green? Seems unfair...

I have posted about cross-progress a few times already.

Platinum transfer and version differences are the major stumbling blocks.

I think that to deal with different app versions, every asset will have a 'minimum_version' internal label.

On PC, the game version is almost always ahead. So, when an item is introduced to the player's inventory in the PC version, the console version of the game will ignore all items that have a 'minimum_version' greater than the console's game version.

If the player has a loadout made in PC that references a weapon, Warframe or pet/sentinel that has not yet been released, that will be replaced by the player's most used weapon of the same class, or most used frame/pet/sentinel. Cosmetics will not be loaded.

I don't see Tennogen sales as an issue if they are transferable, because on PC they are a separate purchase, so the value more or less maches the other platforms.

Platinum on PC has the discounts, that make it have a different value proposition from the other platforms in actual $$$..

My opinion is that the way to go is to make the platinum of each platform a different color.

    PC will be Silver Platinum

    Switch is Red Platinum

    XBOX is Green Platinum

    PS4 is Blue Platinum.

This way, platinum of all platforms will be freely tradeable with every player.

Trades will have a big fat red warning that Platinum can traded freely, but can only be spent on their native platform.

Trading platinum of other platforms will be useful for players to buy platform exclusive cosmetics, I will dig that.

DE should disclose the average trade value of platinum per platform for players to understand their exchange value. PC platinum will very likely be the one worth the least, because it's the most available one.

I like your ideas here, I agree that tennogen and loadouts and weapons you may have on one account and not others are all relatively easy problems to solve.

If I'm being quite honest, im not sure your platinum idea is good in practice. I say this because what if an xbox player wants to buy something from a PS4 player, do they still need a different kind of platinum?

I think adding platinum coupons to console would be the best way to solve that issue, that way platinum has a consistent value across all platforms (granted, this doesnt mean anyone's inventory would change, going foward all tennogen would likely cost actual $$$, while plat coupons existed).

IMHO cross-save is even less plausible than cross-play because it gives people something that the platform holders NEVER want their captive audience to have, a way out. They're essentially Account Transfer Jr.

DE have already stated that on the contrary, cross-save is something they're looking into, while cross-play will not likely be seen for a much longer period of time.

I mean sure. If you're also gonna be happy not having plat and Tennogen at the minimum cross between accounts. Maybe Rivens too.

If I think about it, I personally have more deluxe skins than anything else, so tennogen wouldn't hurt me as bad, but I understand that argument. Losing Plat would stink for sure, and having alot of it would really stink. I don't know, but for me, the costs are far less than the benefits for me personally.

  6. Hey all,

So, I've spent some time on the forums and seen everyone's feedback for The Old Blood (not really sure if I should be looking forward to it?). I recently created a brand new (PC) account, and I'm currently in a Limbo where my MR 25 Xbox account has not seen the new update, but my PC account has. Something else I noticed?

This game is absolutely beautiful on PC.

The dynamic shadows and lighting along with the clarity and realism of the particle effects is just gorgeous. Granted, this may have something to do with the fact that I'm still using an original Xbox One that was bought 6 years ago. Nevertheless, the change in graphics was mind boggling to me, and my appreciation for the game went up quite a bit.

I'm sure you can see where this is going. One does not simply restart Warframe after 750 hours and a couple hundred dollars put into the game, which brings me to my point of cross-saving. I know DE has already stated they're doing an initial investigation, I'm just here to maybe help create a stronger push for it. But lets ask the question; why should DE implement cross-saving?

Cross-Saving would be beneficial for a number of key reasons.

    1. Allows a player to pick up and play at any time across any device, further promoting play time. From a business perspective, this is a good thing, because more play means more investment, which translates to more likely to spend money on the game (assuming they enjoy the game of course).

    2. Allows players who wish to play on one specific platform to do so regardless of where their account originated. This applies to players like myself who really would spend more money on this game if I was able to play on my desired platform. The reasoning may be different for individuals, but those who wish to play on a different platform then where their account originated on a different platform, will probably come to a general consensus; implement cross-saving.

    3. In general, promotes a larger population and more than likely, a gradually increasing player base. Think about it like this. Dave plays Warframe on Xbox, but would prefer to play on PC. Jim doesn't play Warframe at all, but would be willing to play with Dave, however, Jim has a PS4. In today's Warframe, Jim and Dave would be unable to play together. *Cross Save is implemented* Look at that! Dave has switched his account to PC, and Jim has decided to pick up the game, because Dave isn't losing his MR25 account, and he can now play with Jim. This scenario (and many others) do exist, and the implementation of cross-saving would be a benefit to likely a decent portion of Warframe's population.

---To briefly cover the topic of cross-play, DE has already stated that they weren't going to be anywhere near this for a while, and its not really what I am advocating for anyway. It is something that should be looked at in the future for sure, but for now, cross-saving is where they should start.

It is possible that DE implements cross-saving between consoles strictly, because of the huge disparity in update times between PC and consoles. I believe this is a terrible idea, as i believe the points previously mentioned would suffer as a result. I also understand that perhaps PC is used as the "Guinea Pig" for updates, and so this may not be possible to fix for one reason or another. In this case, I would hope for maybe an opportunity to migrate a console account to PC. IMO however, a migration isn't enough long term. The player-base would benefit the most with a seamless system that allowed instant access and play across any platform, as to promote more play of the game with friends, and more play in general. This I believe, would serve to benefit more than people realize, after all, isn't this game supposed to be about all of us lifting together?

    Thanks for reading!

if it wasn't for hunts being a thing, trin and support playstyle in general would of been forgotten.

100% agree with is. Only time I ever use trinity any more is hunts. Oberon I suppose could be included in the support frame class because of his healing, and armor stripping, idk about anybody else but I still play oberon quite a bit.

  8. Hey all,

When it comes to arcanes, typically when you gather a number of them you combine them into a more powerful version. I propose that we be allowed to de-rank these arcanes and split say a rank 1 into 3 unranked arcanes. This would allow a player for example, to sell 10 unranked arcane energize's, as opposed to trying to sell 1 rank 3 (because let's be honest, the only people who can afford to spend that kind of plat probably already have one). This would also benefit players such as myself who accidentally merge arcanes into a rank 1 version when they already have a rank 1, and now instead of having a rank 2 arcane, they simply have 2 rank 1s.

I dont feel this is unreasonable to ask, simply because it costs nothing to rank up arcanes, so why not be allowed to unrank them at the players convenience?

Mag Prime didn’t need extra energy; but still got the buff, right?

Like I said, there are buffs sometimes given to frames who don't need them. It is not my call as to what frames get what buffs. You're argument however is still somewhat pointless, as DE tend to buff frames that they feel need them. Most players are in agreement regarding the current state of Rhino; he does exactly what he needs to and even a little extra. As I said before, this buff will more than likely not be given.

take into consideration when you spend 40-60 bucks buying the prime access. which has nothing in it that actually holds value to your dollar at all.

Take into consideration that the prime stuff is really just an added bonus. You're buying the prime access for the plat (and potentially the boosters). The plat alone is worth way more than 60 U.S dollars.

    18 hours ago, (PS4)Deadcut03 said:

give them more mod slots. like seriously give them more possibilities to expand upon builds. like one exilus slot and one normal slot so it won't be too broken or anything.

DE has already stated that primes are not meant to be a significant upgrade compared to their normal counterparts, otherwise why ever use them? This change is likely not going to be implemented.

  11. Rhino could use an armor buff, but in reality most frames could. Rhino Prime is already very viable for most of the content you are going to play. He doesn't really need a buff.

  12. When playing as Valkyr Prime, if I activate then deactivate Hysteria, I'm pretty sure the game doesn't completely register me deactivating it. I remain immortal, however I cannot use any abilities, I cannot use any weapons, and even though the game registers me as being in hysteria, I cannot deactivate it, (as it says the ability is already in use). This leaves me stuck in hysteria for the duration of the mission, unable to use any weapons, abilities, or my operator, albeit I'm immortal.

The fact that anything can happen at anytime is something this game needs. Maybe not that often but once in a while, push the players to adapt to something unexpected.

The fact that a lot of players are using this game as a giant affinity farming simulator doesn't mean that this is how this game is supposed to be played at first. DE never said that Hydron was made for affinity farming but the players, as always, needed to found a way to make affinity farming easier.

I like to farm affinity at Hydron too but if I can't handle a fight, it's because I chosed to play the easy affinity farming simulator. Hydron is on the last planet of the star chart, you are not supposed to enter Hydron naked and just hope that some players will do the job. DE can not design its content around the players bad habits.

While I ignored most of what everyone else said, this is in fact a compelling argument (and honestly true). I started playing this game after Hydron was established as the "affinity farming place" so naturally I took on the same mindset. But even still, I'll be leveling up weapons and have the staticor (5 forma, maxed primed mods) and I'm still unable to put a dent in him. While I may not be able to complain about where he spawns, I still feel I'm warranted in commenting on how ridiculous his health pool is, and how not every player has invested in creating an OP zaw or kitgun that murders everything (working on that now so dont quote me on it).

    Inconvenient? Lol

Yes. When I go into a defense mission, with the purpose of leveling up weapons, NOT wanting to fight the wolf because I know that if he spawns, not only will I not be prepared but also I'll be forced to quit, I find it inconvenient. Excuse me for disliking it when a boss is forced upon me, when that boss is broken and results in me losing my mission progress. I'm not sure why you find it so funny, because I would think that a situation in which you're forced to quit your game and lose progress is pretty inconvenient, but hey, if you like wasting your time, be my guest.

I shouldn't have to adjust my build, my playstyle, and the mods on my weapons for a boss I didnt want to fight in the first place. The specific "wolf hunt" missions are there for players looking to hunt the wolf, not a level 30 defense mission where MR10s are trying to rank up their MR fodder.

While I do believe that the Wolf's inability to take statuses made him a poor field boss, I gotta say:  if you went into a mission with all unranked weapons, that's kinda on you.

So you're telling me that because I exerted free will in my choice of load out, that gives DE the right to punish me for it? No. I shouldn't have to account for a broken boss being forced upon me during missions when selecting my loadout. The wolf is terribly inconvenient, nuff said.

Or maybe I just take peoples responses seriously, and maintain the idea that a response that doesn't use sarcasm contextually is therein not a sarcastic response.

  17. Will console players ever get a chance to migrate their accounts to PC? I play on Xbox and have about $300 and 600 hours invested in this game, and I plan to continue playing for years to come. I'd love to migrate my account to PC, but unfortunately you just can't (although I feel like there should just be one account in your name that's playable across all platforms). I'd imagine it would be easier for an Xbox players to transfer their account to PC, but I digress.

We should be able to convert unused relics to a maxed riven of our choice with stats of our choice at a ratio of 1 relic:15 rivens

This sounds game breaking. If this were to even be considered, it would have to be 15 relics for one riven, and a completely random riven (even then i highly doubt this would ever be added).

Could you DE possibly look into making the entire solar system open world.

Not only is this impractical, because you're essentially asking for 7 or 8 more PoE/OV's, but because it would take years to do that. Gradually over time I'd imagine we will get more open worlds, but the current system of missions really can't be removed, as quests are tied to specific missions (and would require a massive amount of shuffling around).

    12 minutes ago, (XB1)GameBeast8790 said:

This idea would totally poop on the competition.

Its impractical to compare Warframe to any other game really. Anthem is more of its own game with just a few element incorporated from Warframe. As long as DE continues to deliver new/exciting content (railjack for ex.), then Warframe will continue to thrive.

True, but Garuda is a little more difficult to acquire for a newer player (assuming the OP is new to the game). He/She is better off going for trinity/oberon/nezha for early playing.

DE, as a community we are still showing a particular lack of content. As being a long term player I am noticing it more and more. There was a point in time where you were releasing frames/updates/etc. almost every month.

Warframe has become an expansive collection of different game modes/worlds. It's hard to maintain all of that while at the same time delivering new content. Fortuna and its initial release consumed quite a bit of DE's resources, which is why we had a bit of a drought last year. I don't believe we are currently in a drought, and just because Warframe is a game that is constantly updated, doesn't mean we need something every month. Keep in mind that other games will go 2-3 months without any new content.

Also, as an older player myself, I understand where you're coming from, however during the time that DE doesn't release new content, it's good to spend time min/maxing builds, forma-ing weapons and frames, and just playing through the games open worlds (unless you've completed absolutely everything, at which point I'd reccomend you break up your time between WF and other games).

    10 hours ago, DarthBane1 said:

Because this story has come to a standstill, we see the content as coming to a standstill. at this time.

This is a matter of personal opinions. There are those (like myself) who do not require constant (consistent is appreciated however) updates to the games story. I for one only just recently delved into PoE and all it has to offer, I appreciate the breaks between updates, as it allows me to get caught up with the game.

Personally, I would start the story off at level 0, then work it's way up. I'd lock it to a planet and then go from there. (IE Planet one unlocked, new story content.

This is essentially what occurs once you unlock Phobos. The game introduces you to "Stolen Dreams", followed soon after by "The New Strange" and "Natah". The story could be moved to where it is started on Earth, but ultimately it doesn't matter, as that grace period between starting the game and starting the story allows players to gain a basic understanding of the ship mechanics and how to perform basic tasks (crafting, mission types, mods, customization, etc).
