  1. completing a netracell in which you do not collect a reward consumes a search pulse. I feel like this HAS to be an oversight. host migration can screw you out of a run, and this also prevents you from playing netracells with friends that don't have the deep archimedea unlocked/ don't want to do until you have completed your DA missions for the week. Please tie search pulses to mission rewards, NOT mission completion. I would like to be able to help friends without losing out on all mission rewards, because as is the only way for me to play with my friends still working their way to DA is to abort mission just before the vault opens, which sucks :/
  2. if it wasn't for the assassination mission i think i would be enjoying it too honestly
  3. damage cap on boss says otherwise. beyond basic modding there's not much that matters for the boss. its just cookie clicker.
  4. As someone with basically every weapon and frame, 50+ forma lying around, and 30+ potatoes lying around. this is the perfect game mode for me on paper. In reality its meh at best. First 2 missions were just like a normal mission but with a little more gravity since I had to make sure nobody died. I was somewhat enjoying them. but the last mission was hella boring and i don't even know if i wanna do these if the last mission is assassination because its such a drawn out fight. I think its ok for a game mode to be aimed at more seasoned players, but this game mode is for nobody with the way the assassination currently works. -newer players can't pass the gear checks -older players that trashed MR fodder have to waste time rebuilding stuff -older players that invested in everything are not rewarded because damage cap on boss
  5. did it with people from recruiting. had to keep picking up teammates but eventually made it through. by the end i was extremely frustrated not from going down repeatedly, since i only got downed once or twice, but from how boring it was to just endlessly dump magazines into a boss for 10-20 minutes. I find myself asking myself not "am I equipped to beat this game mode" and more "is it worth wasting my time to play a frustrating game mode". its not engaging on a gameplay level because the only thing that matters is uptime. its not engaging on a preparation level because beyond basic modding/gear selection, your damage is capped.
  6. the only challenge i felt was watching my teammates health bars to keep them alive and not just leaving out of boredom. other than that it was like others have said, monotonous. even had a teammate quit because they got bored after we hit phase 2.
  7. for the first 2 missions this week i had fun. I don't think that everyone will. I have around 7k hours in game, so i am under no impression that others will get the enjoyment from this that i had. it was rewarding to have meh weapons that i invested in have a use. All of that went out the window when i got to the assassination. weapons didn't matter, only uptime mattered. very boring, and I imagine its even worse for people who didn't keep every weapon they ever leveled. the hardest part of the mission was not getting pushed off of teammates that i was reviving. it took a mode that felt tailor made to me, a player with investment into everything and turned it into a slog. if players are gonna have to sit through a 10-20 min cookie clicker boss where gear doesn't matter much then the rng loadouts serves no purpose other than to annoy players.
  8. my main complaint is the cookie clicker assassination which takes 10-20 minutes. which would not be so bad if it had mechanics or weak points and wasn't just a bullet sponge boss
  9. cookie clicker boss takes way too long. either add mechanics or remove the damage cap. let players actually fight the boss more effectively than just keeping uptime. assassinate just felt like a massive time waster
  10. 10-20 minute bullet sponge boss with no reward for having invested in your arsenal or aiming at week spots (since damage attenuation caps your damage) is the most brain dead gameplay in the game next to AFK interception farming. I felt like i was playing cookie clicker the only benefit to having good gear is to clear ads, during the boss fight. but then you are paradoxically just loosing out on boss damage...
  11. i don't care about the randomized loadouts, but the damage attenuation is ridiculous and just makes it feel like i am playing cookie clicker. there is no reward for aiming or having good builds. the only thing that matters is spamming attacks mindlessly
  12. Strongly disagree. it was an exercise in monotony. giant bullet sponge bosses are not the way to go. i don't want to spend 10-20 minutes wailing on a boss with my only break being to rez a teammate. it was not engaging at all. no real reward for good aim since damage is capped for the whole team. i may as well have been playing cookie clicker.
  13. just what the title says. Tested multiple times on the tier 4 steel path bounty. Fish boy screen says it gives 6000 standing, mission complete screen only gives 4000. pictures below
  14. none of these missions i ran were the event 💀
  15. sounds like you just have a fundamental dislike of the core element of the game mode. warframe is a big game with a lot of modes, not all of them are for you. not all of them are for me either... you can buy incarnons for plat, so you can bypass the whole mode if you want to. otherwise it sounds like a gear problem. just because a mode is unlocked doesn't mean YOU are ready to run it. barring time gates a new player can access most in game content in less than a week of play. that does not mean they are equipped to actually run that content. FYI there are weights to the randomness. there is a higher chance for you to get gear you don't own. so the best way to cut down on repeatedly getting fodder you tossed is to build it again. went to level cap with a player running yarelli and the stug. truly a sight to behold
  16. has anyone noticed a large uptick in players trying to afk missions or leaving missions after a minute? of the past 30 or so missions i have ran on pub, at least 1 in 3 had someone trying to afk leech. not a huge deal. it happens. i usually try not to be too judgy about it cus people have pets/kids or other stuff that can pop up. but most of these people were running wukong or other high survivability frames and were afk from the very start. I've also noticed a big uptick in people abandoning missions in under a minute. I had I thought at first it was cus i was running circuit and they probably didn't know that abandoning would still give them the same loadout. but then i started doing just regular missions and it kept happening. it was also almost always console players leaving. is this a console thing? did the event just bring out the bad players? I can't remember the last time in my 7+ years of playing that i encountered this many host migrations or afkers back to back 6+ times in a row
  17. please add the ability to swap the plains/orb vallis back to the pre new war versions. the post new war plains is very buggy about spawning things inside of the wreckage, not to mention they both throw off the cool vibes each place used to have
  18. Gone are the days without solo extract, so there's not really an argument for this system. I do think there should be an option to blacklist players for matchmaking though. The in game block function only mutes them. I've got too many hours in this game and I can count the number of players who would be on that list on one hand.
  19. Just what the title says. Let players who have completed the new war toggle the world states. Could even have it attached to Creator mode. I miss playing on the old beautiful maps. Orb vallis isn't too bad with the thawed out look, but the plains just look abhorrent with all the wreckage and craters. And this doesn't even address the number of time objectives spawn inside of the wreckage and make missions incompletable. Fortuna also lost a lot of it's charm, and is now missing the ability to replay the lift together cutscene
  20. If they were going for fun and friendly snowball fight they should've disabled melee and parkour, made respawns instant, and used a small map. And some cherry music instead of yet silence would've set the mood. I'm glad you enjoyed it but it was 30 minutes of boredom for me. My whole team just decided to have a dance party and chat for the last match. Not a bad event overall, but nothing memorable either
  21. mechanically it isn't present, but anyone who had done any amount of farms via recruiting chat should be familiar. doing a o cell farm? someone is gonna be dps, someone is gonna be buffing, someone is gonna be speedva, etc. I know with power creep that stuff has gotten less common, but i don't think its an alien concept. I do think the game design rewards and encourages squad play for most game types
  22. the only impact of TNW for me is that the Plains of Eidolon and Orb Vallis are ugly and i can never go back to it. GIVE ME A TOGGLE DE!!!!
  23. I don't touch it often, usually only for NW or rivens, and i have had too many pubs join and hop in a turret to afk the mission (love being able to spy on them with the tactical menu) to do it pub anymore. but i do greatly enjoy doing it with friends whenever at least 3 of us are on. if someone is feeling a bit out of it, they can man the big gun, if they want something more fast paced, they can do the on foot stuff. we get to rotate roles, and flying the ship is fun. i don't really need anything from it, but my friends who are still early/midway through their WF journey get a lot of good stuff. radiant relics, good XP, good endo, and it also hands you quite a few weapons to level. I will say that we really only do the grineer railjack, as it actually feels like we're doing stuff as a team and respects our time. when working together we get through missions quickly and the pacing feels similar to the rest of the game. Whereas corpus railjack is slow and boring for everyone. since the mission structure is 1 person stays on ship to keep it alive while the others go do a time gated side objective, and then run a normal mission (which is also usually time gated). ultimately, squad based play takes a certain level of maturity in players, since roles get filled, someone needs to get out on foot, etc. while that is railjack's weakest point, it is also its strength as a game mode. TLDR: love grineer railjack, it is a good game loop that presents different levels of engagement that all feel rewarding.
  24. used to be one of the better fissures to run, as fast as an exterminate or capture, but with endless rotational rewards
  25. just as title said. ran venus excavation fissure twice. once with crossplay, and once without crossplay. both times took 7 minutes with pubs. first time around i figured it was cus host was on console, so i turned off crossplay and ran it again with pubs, and got the same result. most of the time there weren't any spawns at all. additionally, about half the time the things that were spawned didn't seem to be alerted and were just aimlessly wandering around. ran into this during a meso survival as well, spawns were better tho
