  1. Upvote for truth. And I (to a limited extent) support testing weapons before you buy. But lets be real here, every single weapon in the game is poop until you have leveled and modded it, and that's even before potato and forma. So getting a sense of each weapon would be skewed unless you compared it against bone stock weapons you already have, and even that is apples to oranges. MAYBE if there was a way to test it with mods you have... But then we're talking some serious complexity. Maybe a decorative weapon rack with all weapons in cases on the wall would be a good compromise haha

  2. I can jive with this. You should add that, with every "update" we get a reset button (similar to account reset but for Dojos). This could come in the form of resources being returned to clan vault or to players (architect option since it is a "one time" reset). An added concern is, I contribute platinum to rush clan rooms, this should have an "equivalent" credit, and the reset should come with some rush credits of it's own (since the rooms already existed, maybe a free rush on the rooms that got popped?) - the purpose of this is to get the clan back up and running without waiting weeks or having to re-contribute platinum.

Just my two cents, but even barring that, I can get behind what you're saying.

  3. I would love to see something where DE charges a flat fee (maybe 25 plat or a forma or something) to complete a trade but then allows you to trade unleveled frames/weapons, resources, credits, platinum (iffy, MAYBE if done right platinum trading could work), blueprints (for weapons, frames, etc) and so on.

I would kill for a Snipetron, Frost Prime, Mag Prime, Braton Prime, etc and I would happily trade my Excalibur Prime or Skana Prime or a few million creds or a few hundred plat for those above. I don't have time to run Void missions for the next month to MAYBE get those above. I have money, which I can *pay* to DE to allow me to give in game credits to another person to give me an in game item. I win (get my Frost Prime!), other player wins (gets in game currency for their time/item), and DE wins (money for platinum to trade).

And as long as you can't earn platinum in game (as in, you can't get plat from anywhere but paying real money for it), you won't have platinum sellers - it doesn't make sense to buy $20 in platinum to sell it in game for $10. MAYBE you could farm frames and sell them for play and then sell that plat, I dunno.

  4. I'll have further updates when my connection isn't $%^& and can download the update (cable company picked today to $&*^ up the internet in my area and I'm on the public wifi for my complex which consists of a long string of third world children relaying floppy disks to the nearest telco for transmission to the internet), but if this is what it sounds like - the ability to burn up my millions of credits on something other than jack squat, I'm not entirely against it. However when I get in we'll see.

  5. Yes, this is the question that's been bugging me.  At first I thought it was possibly an unofficial countdown to U10 but it's strange that they're all going at different times.  I guess they'll just introduce the new 'recipes' when each gear retires.  If not then we'll be left without some of the gear for some time, which doesn't make sense.

Also, to everyone saying it shouldn't be taken away from the credit system, it costs credits to make things in the foundry so this will still use up our credits.  I'm hoping it's either credit only or at least mainly credits with a small amount of common mat, and then you can craft about x10 at a time.  I'm not totally against this, and if it opens the way for maybe other gear like turrets, grenades, emp blast etc in the future then that's cool.

DE, take note: Turrets, Grenades, EMP Blast, and maybe a utility of some sort (ammo/energy drop box perhaps?)

This would make for a *FREAKING PHENOMENAL* "engineer" class warframe. Hey, you have Trinity as a healing support frame, you should have a technical support frame. This needs to happen! After Necro, where would we go to submit this aside from the founders forum?

  6. two death cubes? you wouldn't even have to try

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    No, seriously, HAHAHAHAHA

Dethcube is more of a tool to slow and stun, not kill. Running a 30/30 Dethcube and it doesn't provide much in the way of support aside from that utility, slows 'em down enough to get a bead on with the Strun Wreath. Now, you want to talk about not having to try anymore...

  7. Here's a thought - and this is coming from someone who thinks stealth is cool but is completel NOT m gameplay style - for mission ideas, why not do an "escape" - sort of like a rescue mission combined with exterminate or mobile defense. Make it so not triggering an alarms and making it out without taking damage gives big bonuses. Or make alarm response troops like the 30-50 minute survival groups with level 500 mobs (yes five zero zero).

Whatever you do, make it predictable, by that I mean don't make it a nightmare mod - you have specific warframes designed around stealth and zero gameplay with stealth as so much as even an afterthought, the randomness of it cycling through as a nightmare mod makes it impractical to run and rerun nightmare mods with a stealth warframe until an actual stealth nightmare comes up. I'm cool with it, but it's kind of insulting to lure people in with the stealth aspect and then be like "LOLnope less QQ more pew pew"

All in all, like I said, personally I'm cool with never having to worry about being caught.with my pants down trying to hide (because I suck at it), but it adds a little depth and a little more variety and I'm sure many others would appreciate it.

  8. I was thinking, maybe there could be rewards for completion of the planets - per planet and/or overall completion. In my mind it would be something like a "complete all the planets by Update X/end of open beta and receive X." Anyway it was just an idea rolling around in my head and I thought it would be a cool way to reward the heavy players of Warframe.

Bonus land would be maybe 5-10 mastery points for completion of levels, be it first run through or each time. I don't want to play Saryn, Trinity, or a few others, just doesn't suit my game style, and it'd be cool to be able to level up without having to play every single frame and weapon to max level. That may be more of a "wah wah wah I want I want" but something for devs to chew on.

  9. I built my entire clan solo, with all research rooms, a couple halls (which now are somehow not registering as I have the grand hall and grander hall but to build the grandest hall it says I must first build a grand hall and grander hall), and hae fully researched every single clantech weapon. I *NOW* let people join, and if they want to build sure go for it, I got my weapons and such, but really, research and rooms are all something that should be done before you make a moon clan. I never paid more than one forma per room, and I have two halls (grand and grander), three cross connectors, two reactors, the oracle and the other three research rooms. Thinking of putting in a PvP room and obstacle course but really, I have no need. If others want to build it, sure.

Edit: I guess my point is, I'm somewhat okay with resource scaling, but they might as well charge a platinum fee per room if they are going to charge forma. I would love to see something like 10 forma to start a clan and then remove it from all building costs. They have to make their money somewhere, and you can always join an existing clan, so yeah, I hear you but they do have to make money somewhere - and I'd rather that be from me and others instead of ads.

  10. Dont make me go back to eve-online !

EVE is perfect. Just coming out of a major war, cooling down, letting skill queue grow. Warframe is like a cool ocean vacation from the complexities and intricacies of EVE. I flutter between the two, when my mind needs senseless killing, Warframe it is. When I feel like I am absolutely certain that soccer ball is filled with cement and want to kick it anyway, well that's EVE. lol

  11.

Currently all mods are shared - you can use your mods on multiple warframes and weapons without the risk that you'll wreck your build - adding mod that it's already used on one piece of equipment won't remove it.

Oh... Oh my. Okay, alright, so, yeah, I'm an asshat that didn't research it. HUGE improvement. Awesome, thanks for clarifying!

  12. Uh, so, how do I save and reload loadouts now that it is nigh impossible to discern whether a mod is in use or not since they ***ALL*** appear when modifying a warframe? I switch frames since, you know, I bought more than one... This is a step backwards, I've had to all but stop playing with new warfrmes since I can no longer mod them without wrecking every other loadout I have.

If there was saved loadouts that I could reapply (look at EVE Online fitting tool and saved fits as an example of what would be ideal), this would be a tenfold step forward, but I feel like we're putting the cart before the horse on this one guys, I've got 10 frames so far to manage leveling and forma-ing, this makes my life immensely difficult in an unenjoyable way. And that doesn't even touch the 18 weapons I have, or the 4 clantech weapons I am in process of building.

A simple check box to disable this new feature would be ideal honestly, as it would give me the option of seeing what is on all my frames. Or, upon hover-over, in the card detail showing which frame it is attached to (though that might get complicated if one has duplicate frames). Really, anything will be better than what it is, and I am totally okay with a rapid stopgap in the meantime while you guys configure the loadout toolset.

Other than that, liking the rest of it so far!
