  1. "Also complaining about having to use inputs in a videogame is the most warframe thing I read." I love the sheer level of bad faith on display. My complaint wasn't about having to use inputs, it's the absurd lack of results and precision you get for that amount of input and since you seem to be a genius, let me precise that that makes a character annoying to play *real quick* 3 outputs wouldn't be bad if it didn't miss half the enemy group right in front of you. 3 outputs that still get less result than just shooting the mofo. I love casters but this isn't caster gameplay, it's "let's annoy player until he just becomes another gun platform" gameplay.
  2. Cast twice AKA 6 inputs in the middle of a fight, casts that will still miss if dante happens to block an enemy from sight, at this point just shoot the mofo and be done with it.
  3. And all those points are great in a vacuum but they exist in a setting where they've given up on ever balancing the strongest massive, line-of-sight free nuking in the game. Me saying " delete Saryn " was an hyperbolic way of pointing out that all the nerfing in the world will never achieve balance nor challenge as long as she exists in her current state. You're not lessening the chances of an uninteresting mission, all this does is concentrating those players unto a more restrictive selection of frames. You might like to use less powerful frames but no worries, a Saryn, Gauss or Styanax will drop in to make sure you don't have to think about the game while playing anyways. The problem with meta is that you might not follow it but most will at which point you either get to suck or join the fold. Play solo then, that should work, right ? Except, this creates a dilemma for the devs : either balance your challenge around the meta which will most likely gatekeep folks like you self-limiting or don't, at which point a vast majority of the playerbase will adopt it to breeze through your supposed challenge. Meta has been a plague on online games as long as they have existed and DE's habit of killing anything that could at least add some variety to it doesn't fix anything, it just lets things get stale. My anger at Dante's nerf emerges from this, nerfing hasn't added anymore balance to the game, it just means that I'll keep going to the same frame I've been for years any time things get tense for my Titania.
  4. Seeing you guys being so obstinate about killing Dante that you keep fixing things that have been rotting in a corner for years is hilarious. Seriously, at this point if folks keep complaining the game will be an exemple of technical perfection by the end of next week.
  5. OK ... So, you say that brainless speed nuking is bad and when I point out that there is so much worse nukers out there you answer is ... "But I don't use her tho'" ? You do realize you're not the only one playing this game, right ? ESO has been an AFK farm for years no matter what you bring because there will always be a Saryn in there. Edit : I'm not making emotionally charged demands, I demand consistency. Nerfing Dante like they did within a week after a decade of Saryn dominance makes it pretty clear who's the favourite kid here. Pretending this hotfix does anything for balance is like saying me recycling offsets the pollution of the nearby Asbestos mill.
  6. No 5th, uninstalled the game the moment they confirmed their reaction to the feedback was to ignore it and keep going as if any of this nerf was a good idea. I'm just here on hopium in case someone at DE realizes that nerfing something into the ground with barely a week of data is a stupid idea.
  7. Love the optimism, don't believe a single word of it. This isn't a new game getting its sealegs, it's a decade long affair repeating the same pattern of "Kill what's fun, pretend to listen, let it rot for years".

This isn't devs stumbling unto a bug in an old engine, it's devs willingly tying a working ability to a dead weight as a way to nerf it. "Because Styanax's 4 requires different circumstances (namely the Intrepid Stand augment and a bunch of grouped up enemies that your allies may or may not tear through before you get your overshields?)" 'Twas a brave attempt to pretend Styanax's 4 has any challenge to it, I'd respect it if I didn't think you were trolling. A bunch of grouped enemies ? In a game where 90% of tiles are tiny rooms and the game sends dozens at a time ... Either I'll get my overguard or my allies are tearing it up so hard I can't get it which simply means it's not needed. "Because you also want to amplify party damage with Wordwarden or increase enemy status vulnerability through Pageflight?" Roar for raw damage and anyone relying on status will have more than enough status chance to not need to carry a Dante along. "... it's an answer that's neccesarily based more on the whole of their kits. " Sooo ... An exalted weapon that is only useful if you don't have a decent gun with an arcane on it, an overguard generator that takes 2 minutes and all your energy to cap, an attack that relies on a broken system and buffs that can be replaced with a superior Helminth, yeesh that is indeed quite the debate right here, I'm sweating.

Which means the one actual problem Dante had still isn't fixed, he still #*!%s with the 2 chroma players out there, it just means now instead of using Triumph twice, you'll have to spam it almost 5 times. He's not gonna shred anyone, this game's LoS have been broken for an eternity, you can be certain that tomorrow's hotfix will just take them from "Outrageously busted" to "Holy S#&$, don't tell me you paid someone to build this". And at the end of it all, you still haven't answered me : Why would I bother with so much setup when Styanax's 4 is right there ?
  15. What is Dante's utility now then ? Styanax does solid damage as he's throwing around more overguard. Saryn nukes twice as hard without LoS. Wisp murders him in every buff possible . What's the niche then ? "Thank you for buying bootleg Styanax, go eff yourself" ?
