  1. Hooray!

I love how we can get both of the new weapons, picking a side just means if it's potatoed or not. And then the exclusive things are just old melee weapon skins that're upgraded a tad.

Err if you read it correctly we only get one of the new weapons. Whether or not we picked the winning side makes the difference of if we get the potatoed version with its own slot or if we have to make it, along with a potato and weapon slot.

  2. Hard to stop "supporting the game" when I have already bought a founders pack, tho I did so when the game was in alpha and that was when I personally enjoyed the game. I even liked the game up until update 7, this was when the game want to the mod system and started to go from what was a great game that had even more potential. But something or someone at DE turned the game in the wrong direction.

Yes, I have 860 shield with maxed up re gen, two Ex skills the dash and the javelin, health, max power, power duration, power strength, power efficiency. I use the Dread as primary with damage, crit, crit damage, armor piercing, puncture, multi shot, stun, and ice mods. Side arm is the Kunai, with damage, armor piercing, electric, crit, crit damage, puncture, max ammo ( I know there is one more but don't know it off the top of my head) Melee is the Orthos with Ice, atk speed, charge damage, damage, stun, armor piercing, charge speed (will put reach on it when I get one) All weapons have a potato and frame has been forma once. AMP Mod is rifle damage tho still not sure if that even does anything for a sniper weapon.

DO I RUN IN LIKE RAMBO WITH THIS, NO I DO NOT!! My very last resort is to spam skills to get away. I know that people are just going to laugh and say "OH that's a S#&$ build etc" but you all want to know so much so fine.

-Shrugs- Just because you supported a game once doesn't mean you have to continue. I supported the Halo series up until Halo 4, which I didn't like thus stopped supporting it. Yeah they already have my money from me buying Halo 4, but I just won't buy future Halo games because of it. They thus lose a future customer (or a potential few thousand, since I know many communities hate the game now). It is the same thing in your case, yes they already have your money from the Founder's Package, but you can stop supporting it by just not paying for it anymore and get like minded players who miss the old system and would just wish for it back, or failing that at least parts of it back.

As for your build, I can understand your shields going down nearly instantly at higher levels (because there are times where at T3 where my Frost's near 1K shields can go down fast) but if they are still going down instantly at lower level planets with that amount of shields then you might actually have a problem. Or it could just be the various buffs that enemies have gotten over time (like the Grineer Flamers, hate those things). Actually, thinking about it, I think the problem may less be of the shields and may be of the enemies weapons, I have never had trouble killing anything but if I am not careful things could kill just as fast. Especially on Phobos with those sawblades. I don't even know what happens half the time. So I am going to conclude it is mostly because of a few things, the Grineer Flamers and the new Hinds, the........

....I just thought of something. The flamers were buffed when they Ignis got buffed. Does that mean that the Grineer using Grakata's also got buffed? Can AI's even get crits?

  3. For one I never asked for help!! I don't know where anyone gets off thinking that is was. Does anyone play like rambo? I'm going to go with no. So your points are just invalid. I have been playing this game longer than probably any of you and have only seen the horrible change after horrible change that DE has done. I have had the same mods only upgrading them when I have the cores to do so, that are few and far between. If I want to use a weapon because it suits how I want to play the game that it should be just as viable as any other weapon any one else is using. If that's not how you think then you are saying that no all weapons and frames are viable at higher levels no matter what mod etc you have.

Ok, mainly everyone is saying you were asking for help because you did ask if what you were experiencing was a bug or if shields were nerfed. We ask for information so, if you had 700+ shields, then we know something must be bugged if things are taking down your shields in the blink of an eye. If not, well we wouldn't know what to do and would ask about how you play to figure out the exact problem. We were trying to figure out a solution to this "instantly gone shields" experience that you seemed to be having. THAT is what everyone has been trying to do this whole bloody time. Forget about your opinion on how DE "ruined" Warframe for you, forget how you feel certain Warframes and weapons just aren't "viable" past a certain level, forget about how you are "done" with the game (in which why are you still here? just don't support the game anymore if you don't like it, it is what I do with a game series I feel doesn't suit me anymore) and let us solve the "original topic" at hand that YOU, the OP, came to the forums to originally talk about before this thread became a stupid mess of off topic throws at the game's mechanics.

What are your shield stats? If they are Exc's normal 300, then yeah it is obvious why those go down at higher levels pretty fast and you have to take cover a bit more than normal. If they are 860 (which is his max shields with full Redirection and Vigor) and they are still going down in a blink of an eye and you have no idea what is going on, then there may be an actual problem that we all can try to solve and have you going on your way with that issue solved at least. Can you work with us on that?

If you somehow reply to this with "It shouldn't matter, this game sucks because of viability" then I have no idea what else to say other than shields seem to be the least of your worries apparently.

  4. If any of you have ever crashed on the Derelict tile set it's most likely because Direct X11 is enabled. If you turn off that setting hardware failure errors don't occur often at all, if ever. For some reason these settings for Direct X11 are malfunctioning across the board, so this isn't a pocket case for a select few systems.

Direct X11 doesn't seem to display any issues on other tile sets -- at least on my computer. Crashes only surface on Derelict.

For me, Direct X11 affects one other tile set, the normal Void tile set. It didn't crash often, but it did, from time to time, crash. After the Derelict tile set came out and I turned off Direct X11, I noticed that I don't crash anymore in the Void. Hell, it seems like the framerate improved after I turned off Direct X11. Which sucks as I bought the Asa Syandana, only to find out that if you don't have Direct X11 enabled, that particular Syandana doesn't show up in-game on your character. Already sent a ticket to DE, asking for either a refund or exchange for an item of equal worth, they just replied with that they are aware of the bug and are aiming to fix it.

  5. Hunter for ever !

When i got my 1st founder's pack, I had 100 hours of gametime in Warframe. Updates were flowing, great stuff was being added regularly and there was good communication between the DEVS and the playerbase. I felt like supporting that.

Then, after 200 hours, I felt like I could play this game much more and decided to get the hunter pack as it felt DE was really independently making this game better using the feedback from the community while keeping their creative identity.

Then came the PS4 announcement and Forma. From that moment I felt DE lost its full independance. It was announced the game would come out with the PS4 launch. Addition to the core game mechanics and communication became less frequent. Updates felt rushed. This put a dent in the trust I had in DE, as it felt to me like they were not the only ones holding the steering wheel anymore.

Nonetheless, I've never regretted supporting DE with my hunter pack. I never intend on getting more then the hunter pack as I feel that with Sony as a sponsor they really don't need it anymore. Also paying the price of a triple A title for a ftp game was a first time for me. Actually, WF is the first FtP I ever gave money to. But I did it because of all the fun this game brings, its originality an the coop focusing online mode.

I'm still having tons of fun with this game, but the PS4 deadline really put a hurt on the game's evolution in my humble opinion.

I had figured this would happen ever since the PS4 accouncement, they are trying to get Warframe as close to a "finished" product as possible, similar to what Minecraft had become. Minecraft is no longer in Beta, it is considered a completed game but they still choose to update. I can only hope that once the PS4 version is out and they aren't rushed anymore for time, that they can slow down and put out more stable updates to the game.

  6. I guess you don't understand that they did to the game and how much has changed since the Alpha. Pre Mods and what players got when they changed all of your progression that you had to mods. You got nothing but fusion cores, No high level mods to be a representation of all the progression, DE just took a big crap on players that saw warframe as a great game at the beginning. Maybe you all seem to not understand how the game worked before DE changed the whole game. Made it horrible, Yes this is my opinion but as they continue to try to improve the game they are only making it worse. I am not trolling anyone and if you think that I am trying to then you are delusional, and maybe need to rethink what you think is a Troll on the internet. Also people do not need to know people outside of a game to bully others. From all of the post and opinions that I have voiced about this game. It seems to me that the longer this game goes on the more and more awful the player bases is getting. Getting called a Troll or worse cause I am voicing my views and opinions of what was to me a great game till DE changed the whole thing for some reason.

Also Viable means to me that if you have a warframe/class that you like to play. You can level it up, play the play style that you want in the means of the warframe or class that suits you. Adding any mods and using any weapons that you want, and you can progress just as good as anyone else that is thinking much to hard about the game and min, maxing making their version of what is the best build. But that is not the end all be all way to play the game and get through the content. This seems to be the only way of thinking in the game now, that is you don't have the best, maxed out mods for X warframe and use X weapons with X warframe you are just bad and you should not be playing the game and no one wants you in a group. The game was never like this, DE with their "improvements" has made it this way and do to all of the elitist players that now in hadit this game. Players that just want to play the game like they have been and enjoyed it can't.

I will admit I do not know much about Alpha, or even closed Beta version of Warframe. I have only been playing for around two months. So I will give you that, my knowledge of the game is colored by what limited time I have played of Warframe while you have played for much longer than me. In those two months, I have been to every planet and been playing for the most part solo, and I have been ok with the content. Yes, sometimes it is harder using Banshee and Ember solo than it is using Loki, Ash, or Rhino but I can still get through the level 50 missions through careful shooting and sometimes panic spamming. Sometimes the games slaps me around, sometimes it is no problem. I am sorry if changes to the game have upset you but in the end there is little you can do other than get like minded gamers and have your voice heard to DE to try to get some change out of the game if your voice is loud enough.

As for calling you a troll, I call you a troll simply because you dodge every question with another topic. We ask for shield info, and you hide behind being scared of cyberbulling. Once again I state, do you really have to be scared of people that are offering their help? Why would you even ask the people you are scared of a question like this? I do not call you a troll because of your views and opinions, those are your beliefs and I don't really care for them. I am not going to hate you just because you think the game sucks, you have every right for that opinion. I call you a troll because, as the people above have stated, this has turned from "I think the shields may be bugged" to "The game is horrible, cheats players, and it shouldn't matter what Warframe I use". You have switched the topic from its original issue, which was never resolved, because you didn't want to state a few simple stats. Here, I will go. My Loki has 420 shields last I remember....I think. Haven't used Loki in a while. See? That was easy. My Ash has 300 shields, because I don't give him any shield mods. That was all you had to do, yet it is so difficult to say a simple number.

Continuing on with how "viable" a Warframe is, you kinda confuses me...say you like playing Tank roles. So you go with Rhino. Would you not want to give him the best mods to make him tanky? That kinda eliminates the whole idea of using "any mod" you want, players naturally would move towards health, shield, and armor mods for Rhino. Add in some max power and streamline and you are set to go for Rhino. There are just some mods you should not bother putting on certain Warframes, such as armor mods for low armored Warframes like Ember. Because these Warframes have certain stats and abilities, it naturally makes them more suited for certain mods, thus certain builds are made. Thus you have many options of playstyles through these different Warframes. So at the end of the day I don't understand what the problem is, because there is a Warframe for nearly every style of play, each with certain mods that fit their stats and abilities. As you yourself said, you can pick the Warframe you like, play that Warframe in the designed playstyle it was meant for because you like that designed Warframe playstyle, and use any mods you want. Naturally you lean towards mods that make your Warframe better in that playstyle. So in that way all Warframes, by your definition, are "viable".

This topic is completely bonkers. It's about shields, OP complains about shields, it has 3 pages and at no point do we actually learn how much shields OP has or any information of the sort... this is rather unbelievable. The chain of logic and the mental gymnastics in some of the responses are mind-boggling.

It is at least an amusing read, is it not?

  7. This is still going on? Damn, I thought this thread had finally died and sank into the abyss of the forums...

As much as I know this is feeding the troll, I can't help myself. I am bored and enjoy every excuse you make.

So they turned warframe in to a min, max game where only X build on a warframe is the only viable option to do anything passed a certain level. Those making not all warframes viable. I have been using the same mods since the game when to the mod system and have never had any issue doing any of the content. Also you trying to use skyrim as an example is a bad one seeing that if you wanted to change up your combat skill you can freely do so. And as you use a weapon that you haven't used it levels up and you naturally get better at using it. Something that DE have not put into this game. There is nothing natural about how you progress, since with every update they change the game so much that one player's play style that worked now doesn't work at all. It should never be like this, MMOs try to do this sort of changing and those games only enrage players, and the game dies. If that is what DE wants than they should continue their awful, untested changes. But if they actually want to make the game fun and have players enjoy the game then they must change the way they are trying to make the game better. When all they are doing is making the game awful.

I think we need to establish a standard definition of the word "viable".

Viable: Capable of working successfully. Feasible.

Going on this defintion, I will take back my previous statements in this thread and reword it: "Every Warframe is viable depending on the role/playstle they are designed to fill in." Based on this defintion, then this means certain Warframes will not work successfully when trying to utilize them in a specific role they are not meant for. Loki, with his low shields and health, is not viable to fill in a tank role; trying to do so will most likely end up with the player's death. It doesn't matter how upgraded the mods are, Loki will never be able to take the same amount of damage Warframes like Rhino and Frost can take. What Loki excells at is distrupting the battlefield with Decoys and Disarms while assassinating targets and moving positions with targets/enemies. So that is what you should build for, his abilities to last as long as possible and as cheap as possible.

That is the point of Warframes, or in other game's terms, Classes or Roles. Classes are designed with specific playstyles in mind, you are not going to have Rhino staying back behind other Warframes. You are going to put on Iron Skin and charge into the fray, while the other Warframes kill the enemies that are distracted by Rhino. Doing anything but that is not effectively using the potential that Rhino has as a tank Warframe. Thus you should build him to be as tanky as possible. If you wish to put on the most random mods onto a Warframe and think you can get through high-level content without optimizing to most effectively use your Warframe's designed traits, go ahead. If you can, you are awesome. If you can't, oh well. Deal with it. I guess in that sense, yes, Warframe requires you to go with a certain build in order to get pass certain levels, but just because of that does not make certain Warframes "not viable".

I am half-tempted to go into an explanation of why the above Skyrim example was perfect but since the OP obviously didn't see it I won't bother unless the OP specificly asks for an explanation.

Please OP, next time you reply in this thread, explain your defintion of the world "viable". Explain if there is anything actually wrong with what I stated above. I await your response.

Why is everyone treating this obvious troll thread as anything other than an obvious troll thread?

If he actually had a problem, he'd state his exact statistics and what frame he experienced the problem on. He didn't.

He also keeps pretending the word "viable" means anything other than "capable of succeeding", which, grab a dictionary, it is. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/viable

At best, if it was only the OP making the first post, I'd say it's probably a lag issue, but as he keeps posting bs troll rants, it's just a troll.

    Obvious troll is obvious.

I figured as much by the first page, but it amuses me to see every excuse he uses, and when he doesn't use an excuse he just dodges the questions and response with his own rage/troll responses that give no progress to the thread's "topic". A couple of clues to the troll that anyone can see.

    1) He claims to have played since Alpha. I refuse to believe anyone playing since then wouldn't already realize you aren't going to get far into the game unless you optimize your Warframe. Unless you do somehow manage to make Loki into a tank. In which good for you I guess?

    2) Claiming that he is afraid of bullying/trolling from other players due to Conclave score and is the reason he refuses to state any information on the equipment he uses. Seriously, I know that cyberbullying exists but that usually means that they know you in person and just use the internet as an additional means of bullying. What are they honestly going to do to you in Warframe? Message you? What are we, the people on the forums that immediately tried to help the OP, going to do? And if it comes from your clan, I have to say that is very bad clan behavior. Going from that, if he had played from Alpha, I'd think he would have some high level equipment from playing since then, so he would have a high conclave score.

Honestly I haven't had this much amusement reading a thread in a while. It is satisfying to help someone honestly having a problem and helping them figure out what exactly is going on, or just answering a simple question of "Where do I get this?". But there is just something of reading a troll's message, replying, and seeing what the troll will answer back with. Yeah the troll wins just because I replied but eh I am bored and don't particularly care if someone has to get satisfaction out of trolling. They are bored, I am bored, and it is a way to kill time.

  8. Most likely. It would be much more useful if it just converted all damage into energy. Have it where it converts 5%/10%/15%/20% damage into energy, and double or even triple the amount if the damage is done to health.

  9. Have I not just explained to you why I am extremely hesitant? Also how the hell are you to know that your underlevel? Since there are really no levels, and I have been playing since the game has been in alpha, I have everything up to the newest areas that have just recently been added unlocked. I was able to do everything just fine, on Pluto or not. But now even 50 missions are a struggle. Maybe most have not played the game since alpha and have had to deal with change after change to this game. But I for one am getting pretty sick of playing for months and then having all of my time made for not and everything that I modded become worthless and the fun I had in this game turn to anger and frustration. Polarizing a weapon or a warframe is a big issue with me. It only lessens the cost of a mob. You are just going to put the same mob in those mob slots anyway. Tho I hate the polarization system, I have zero use for it. Why do it and level everything you already have to max just to get a mod slot to cost less when it already takes forever to level a mob after a certain point. Polarization or Formaing is not in anyway a acceptable progression system for a game of this type.

For the most part, we do have a sort of leveling system. The mod capacity of a warframe or weapon is, in a way, its "level". You have a rank 30 weapon? It is, in a way, "level 30". You have a rank 30 weapon with a Orokin Cat on it? You have a "level 60" weapon. You have a Potato'd rank 30 weapon with a polarity slot? That just adds more and more "levels" to the weapon because, in the end, the mod capacity of a item is its "level".

Moving on from that point, yes all Warframes are viable. Yes this game is not one where you have to have this build in order to have progress. Those are all valid points, but that does not mean that you can not perhaps give examples of the problems that you have had, explaining the Warframe/Weapons you have most issues with on which planets.

I mostly play solo as well, so I will admit that yes, certain Warframes are much more viable for solo play than others (Loki, Ash, and Nekros) but, in the end, you have to take into account the Warframe's designed playstyle and work with it. Obviously Loki has steath because he is too damn squishy, even with mods, so it is better to stay at range and shoot and when enemies get close, steath and either move or slash while invisible. Rhino, being a tank, does not have this problem and is fairly good for solo play because of his tankiness. Banshee is more a support, I didn't particularly liked her for solo play because you have to rely more on your weapons than your abilities.

If I seem mocking by stating such obvious, common sense stuff that normal players should know, I am not mocking. I merely have no examples of the troubles you are having other than vauge "My weapons won't kill enemies at level 50" so I have to run examples myself in order to try to help you. Yes all weapons are viable but some are better than others (MK1-Braton < Braton) and some are better suited to certain situations than others (Energy Lab Researched weapons against Corpus > Nearly everything else against Corpus). If perhaps you can give information on what you are using exactly then this can move on.

  10. I don't see having to spend time farming mods to "upgrade" your frame but have it do nothing, just because they think that making the game hard is upping dmg on enemies, and adding more of them. That is only making the game frustrating, It has made the game just full of cheap deaths. If they wanted to make the game "hard" adding better AI ,different enemy types would be a great start and then actually adding some strategy to the gameplay not just run and gunning. When I think of being a Ninja, this is not what comes to mind. Not turning the game into some min, max fest, where there is only one right way now to mod a frame and weapons to do any type of dmg. I am very disappointed in how this game has been progressing since the alpha.

So far you haven't actually answered any questions anyone has asked in order to help you. What Warframe are you using? How much shields do you have? Are you taking cover when your shields go down? Ect.

You are merely stating your experience without any examples of what happens, which does anyone little good to figure out how to actually help you or give you any advice.

  11. dang thats a shame, I've been running low lvl Venus defense like crazy

I got a tier 2 Exterminate from the survival on Venus just last night (stayed till the 10 minute mark). Are you sure running that and ditching at 5 is not viable?

Peronally I"m looking for the Dakra BP

    http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Survival

Are you sure you were playing a Survival mission? Because litteraly it is impossible to get an Extermination key out of those. If you did happen to get one out of a Survival, then just run that mission and ditch at 5 minutes. Each 5 minute mark sets a Tier for a possible key, 5 you can get a Tier 1, 10 you get a Tier 2, and 15 you get a Tier 3 key. I have been running Apollodorus in order to get Tier 1 Defense missions for Fang Prime. In which I keep getting Paris Prime. I have like 5 or 6 of that damn thing's blueprint by now. Amusing the first time, still the second time, annoying the third time in a row I got that blueprint. >.>

  12. I unchecked DX11 and checked the multi-thread rendering in the warframe launcher options (before you launch the game). Then I haven't crashed since on 3 runs. Others are seeing the same.

I will have to try that. Speaking of which, just for record exactly just what does Multi-Thread Rendering actually bloody do?

Edit: Unchecking DX11 fixed the issue, except certain areas put up some weird drawing almost like someone drew with a marker.

  13. Same - seems to be related to AMD cards. Everyone I know with an AMD card has crashed in the derelict missions at least once. I can't finish a mission - three in a row I crash. Giving up until later.

I have an Intel card, just to specify it isn't just AMD cards. I have only completed one Derelict mission, and that was because I rushed through it before the game could crash. Not very good for a level you are suppose to farm.

  14. I don't have the best computer to be honest, I AM playing on a laptop of all things but I am able to play Warframe reasonablely well normally. I have no problems in normal missions unless someone decides to get power happy as Ember or Nova's Ult kills the whole room of 30+ enemies. But playing on these Derelict maps have my computer crash more often than not. Even when there are no enemies running around! I think it may be due to just the sheer amount of constantly moving/flashing objects, as I have similiar issues in normal Void maps when I enter a room with lots of moving water/enemies.

While the map is very pleasing to look at, it still destroys my computer's ability to run Warframe. I can only ask that perhaps you add an option in the launcher to disable water effects/flashing/moving obects in Void maps?

  15. 1) What Warframes are next set for some type of kit rework? I am mainly looking at Ember and her lack of Utility.

    2) While there is the wiki in order to find out information about the game, have you ever considered adding certain basic info onto the game itself? Like a list of what certain damage types actually do? Because when I first played I was thinking "Oh, these damage mods! Fire damage, ice damage, shock damage...What are they effective against?" Imagine my surprise when I found out electricity isn't effective against shields, but frost damage is.

    3) Can there be more info of the weapon in-game? Such as crit chance and crit damage?
