  1. My aim is drifting without input a lot when I come out of many loadings, as in leaving the elevator in fortuna, landing in cetus or in missions. Almost like stick drift but it doesn't happen in other games, so I believe that the issue is in warframe, Another issue is a very, very heavy pull to the left when firing the imperator vandal while holding the trigger, it pulls to the left at a steady and constant ration that leaves me unsure if it is a programmed recoil as some weapons have some f**ked up recoils or a bug.

I normally give content like this a day or two since the PSN store is quite buggy lately. Try checking every few hours for this new content.😁

I am checking every hour os so since the hotfix yesterday. I want the nova pack and I farmed a bit for nova's chassis and nearly build it using old parts that I had for nova prime, when I remembered that I would buy the pack for the soma, vasto and armor. I thought that it would be up today but still nothing and I want to know how much it will cost here to know if I need to add funds to my account.

  3. I am in the America region where the vault should have unlocked yesterday, I can get relics from the unvaulting, but I can't buy any of the packs. They aren't even up in the store, even if I access it from the ingame market where I can see the packs i when I select the one that I want I either get to a page with just Chroma prime access or I get the "page under maintenance" error message. Is anyone else having this issue?

  4. What I want is the camera shake removed from the recoil effect, not the recoil effect removed. The weapon shake that moves the barrel and moves the bullets around can stay, it is the camera movement that affects me. If it was the weapon moving and the bullets flying around a unmoving crosshair it would be fine with me, or as I mentioned the crosshair could move as long the camera doesn't. The screen jackhammering while I use a weapon is what makes me ill, and it is a literal thing.

  5. Plus there is the fact that I play warframe a lot, even in the morning before having to do other stuff outside and work. Having to work or run errands or chores with a headache just because I wanted to enjoy one of my favorite games isn't a good way to keep said game in my favorite and most played list.

  6. Just now, Chewarette said:

Use weapons with no recoil then

That's like saying you've got the fear of heights so all the Flight Simulators should make you play on the land only

The thing is that I don't want to stick to a single loadout. I want to use whichever weapon that I want, that is the entire point of the game, if you don't have issues with the recoil that is great. I do and so do others, we don't have to be limited to bows, beam weapons and other no to low recoil weapons so we don't suffer from headaches and motion sickness. Plus I am not asking to remove the recoil, but to remove the screen shake that we get from the camera bouncing around like crazy.

I am ok with the weapon being less accurate because the crosshair moves, I am not ok with the camera moving with the crosshair while I am shooting giving me headaches and pain. I paid for plat and other stuff in the game to support DE, I have the right to ask for improvements that don't break the game, are reasonable and is something that affects more than my gaming experience. If I was the only one with the issue I wouldn't say anything, but I am not.

  7. I can understand the need for recoil, but the screen shake of it give me horrible migraines with even casual use. It got worse with the GPU particles update, weapons that I could use normally now give me headaches when I use them. And the ones with horribly bad recoil give me migraines and motion sickness the fastest. Just today i got my newly built pyrana prime and with 10 waves of use I already have a headache and motion sickness, and this with a disabled screen shake and reducing mods.

I hate the fact that to use some weapons I have to sacrifice a mod slot and capacity that I could be using to make a stronger build. I can very easily accept a wide bullet spread and similar effects. But the screen shake from recoil it is killing my enjoyment of the game. Giving us an option to toggle off the recoil screen shake and still have the accuracy loss would be great for players like me that suffer from motion sickness in games. I saw in the wiki and a few other posts in a google search that this is a fairly common issue.

That I cant use weapons that I farmed hard for, paid for or worked for, because this issue, my potatoed and formaed supra vandal gathers dust because I can't use it without feeling sick. My lato vandal that I worked my ass off is also on the arsenal without much use because the strong recoil, I worked hard for months to get the parts, and not I can't use it even with a throwing melee because quickfiring with it affects me.

  8. I purchased the Supra vandal to see if it became better from how it was back in Ambulas reborn, I did that in XB1, it did improve but the screen shake that I get from the weapon while it fires kind of triggers some headache on me. With this one it makes four weapons that I used that gave me motion sickness issues, the others being the rakta ballistica, the zhuge, that I had to get rid of after potatoing it and dumping 4 forma on it to use with a riven, and right now I can't remember the last one.

I want to know if there is a way to remove this shake from the screen, I have the screen shake option in the options menu turned off, is there any other way to reduce or remove this shake? And to lower the volume of shooting?

  9. Since this weekend will have the landing craft skin reward I went and tried to fix this issue that I had for ages where I watch the streams with my account that I linked to warframe and I get no drops. I unlinked and then linked again in hopes that I will get the drops this time.

However I have a question/issue, I normally watch streams be from DE or the partners while playing warframe, using my laptop that can't run warframe to watch while I play with on the PS4. Even with twitch on my firefox active tab I get the "absent" change on my online status. So here is the question, Does that affect the drops?

I often wondered if that was why I wasn't getting the displays, articula or whatever else was the drop for the stream. Do I have to somehow keep the twitch status as "online" all the time to get the drops or just having the stream tab running in my navigator is enough?

  10. According to the wiki Simaris sells extra BPs for the orvius, yet I went there to see if I could get one and it wasn't on the item list for purchase. Is the wiki wrong or the orvius BP is still to come to PS4?

  11. While some of my suggestions will be about a mechanic or another, my main ones are mostly cosmetic ones. However feel free to add your own reasonable suggestions as well.

I believe that prime weapons should be able to use the vanilla version skin for that weapon, like the braton prime being able to use the normal braton as a skin or the akbolto prime using the regular akbolto as a skin. I personally don't like the looks of some prime weapons or just want to change my fashionframe. I purchased the Mesa presidio collection because I couldn't stand the looks of the akbolto prime and the sheer size of the akstiletto prime irked me, I now use the pistol skin in most of my pistols, although in not all of them.

As a PS4 player I had access to the obsidian collection and used the braton obsidian skin on my prime because I wanted it to look like the regular braton, sadly I can't color it to look as the regular braton. I purchased one of the paris skins because I prefer the looks of the regular paris over the prime look, my cousin calls it toilet seat prime and I sadly can see why he calls it that. I use bows a lot, my favorite bow being the rakta cernos, sadly the cernos line doesn't have skins for it beyond the dryad skin from the feyarch pack, sometimes I want to change its looks to something else, maybe something closer to a regular bow such as the paris or the dread, or just something else less branch/buck horn like for a change. On the subject of bows, I wouldn't mind a more traditional looking arrow skin, a regular broadhead with normal style fletching, admittedly futuristic and techno style as long it doesn't look massive and that looks like would affect an arrow's balance as some of the currently available skins.

I also enjoy shotguns a lot, and wouldn't mind a universal shotgun skin that looks closer to a regular shotgun, I want something not bulky and large. I love the corinth, the strun and don't get me started on the sobek, but sometimes I feel like it would be nice to use something a bit sleeker and smaller.

Now for melee, I love the lesion, it is my favorite melee, but I don't like its looks as much and would love to be able to use the tipedo as a skin or something like the tipedo, I understand that technically they are different weapons, but it would be nice to have. Or a more standard looking polearm skin.

Beyond the lesion I am also an avid nikana user, I wish that I could use a normal or dragon nikana as a skin for my nikana prime. Being able to remove the sugatra would also be amazing. I know that none of the nikana stances allow for it, but I wanted to be able to use the nikana without the entire quick draw style that we have now. A new stance that follows a regular style that has a blade drawn most of the time, maybe it would look too much like the one handed sword stances, still I want to look at my nikana when I use it and some kendo/jutsu stance would be different enough from the 1 hand sword stances.

Now for zaws, like most players I have tinkered with zaws, followed some good builds and generally use them often. I would like to be able to use class based weapon skins on my zaws, like a dagger type zaw being able to use dagger skins or my polearm zaws using polearm skins. My main grievance is the nikana zaw, I don't particularly like the looks of the sheathed strike, the large tip with the hooked saw thing looks ridiculous as with the sheath that is form fitting to the blade, the huge end and the style of draw breaks my suspension of disbelief. I understand that zaws are supposed to look different and unique, but the regular use of saw teeth and hooks kind of turn me off from some strikes.

Some grips don't look nice and some new ones that look more traditional yet still ornamental would be nice, like a saber like guard or a cross guard. Paired with this I also would like to see some simpler strikes specially for dagger style and polearm style zaws. I know that we don't have a traditional spear like polearm stance to take advantage of a more spear like strike and the hitbox would likely be pretty horrible too. Yet I would love to see a simpler blade strike for daggers and polearms, maybe a bowie style or a simpler triangle like shape as the dark dagger, I love the looks of the dark daggers but they are so bad...

Now for non cosmetic suggestions, I don't remember which youtuber said this, but I agree, having a range display in the melee weapon stats would be great. That way we could see how much range a weapon has and how much reach and primed reach would affect the weapon.

Also I would like to be able to see the gains that mods like bloodrush, weeping wounds and other similar mods that work with the combo counter would give to the weapon when I am modding it. Knowing the final crit chance or crit damage would help a lot when modding the weapons with said mods, toggling it similar to the way that we can see the stats of gilded and ungilded amps and zaws.

This last one might not be really a weapon suggestion, but being able to see the stats of exalted weapons like Valkyr's talons, Excal's exalted blade and so on would be great. My main issue with modding weapons for frames with exalted weapons is that nowhere in the game we can see the stats for them and in the wiki it can be pretty confusing, not to mention that we might not have access to the wiki when playing and modding. The general advice that I hear and read is to mod a weapon that will benefit from the same modding as the exalted weapon, and depending of the modding you might pretty much lock up said weapon to be used solely as a mod platform for your exalted weapon, a weapon that you can't see the stats benefits with said mods.

In plague star I had to change the 2 build of my tenora to benefit Titania's dex pixia as much as possible, while still usable the tenora was under-performing a lot when compared to my usual build for it. On Excal's exalted blade, I couldn't find anywhere the range of the flying energy blades that are launched from the swings, I still have no idea how far they go before they are useless so I have no idea if I should mod for power range or melee range to reach longer with the energy blades.

Maybe this one is superfluous but having the weapon type/class named in the weapon's market/arsenal stat sheet would be nice. Sometimes I have no idea of the type of weapon I am using and early in the game I thought that the lesion was a staff because the tipedo was one, and back then I didn't have the stance for either to know the difference, only later that I learned that the lesion was a polearm.

  12. I might start apologizing about the massive post, but these are my feelings about Ember's changes and about the game in general.

My thoughts on Ember’s nerf as a Ember main.

I plan on making this a personal but constructive critic to Ember’s changes, that yes it is a huge nerf regardless of what DE says, please keep your own opinions clean, with no insults to anyone and stick to facts based on your own experience.

I began playing Warframe back in April or so of 2017 in a borrowed XBOX 1 where I learned the truth of how Microsoft is a money grabbing company that doesn’t respect the consumers and companies that use their platform.

Warframe, a free to play coop game, can’t be played with coop if you don’t have a Live Gold account, that means that you play the game solo, with no help, clan or other online resources from other players. Making the game much harder, less fun and engaging to play.

I got a couple of weeks of online play because I purchase plat or some other enticement to make me purchase Gold again, it was during the Ambulas reborn event, imagine trying to do an event like that or any other purely on solo mode. Getting rewards would be hard to next to impossible.

Just playing defense or interception was hard as hell, moving beyond rotation A was hard as hell. Hijack was tricky and trials were impossible. No help with tricky bosses like Vay Hek or Kayla of Sedna, I had pretty much given up on accessing Sedna and Eris because they required things that I felt that were impossible to do solo, with only 3 warframe slots and 6 or so weapon slots, no potatoes beyond ones from alerts and no mods beyond what I farmed.

I got Ember sometime after Second Dream or War Within, likely War Within, as I did WW as Frost. As Frost, Rhino, Valkyr and Mag doing survivals for long time was an exercise on frustration. My KPS was horribly low even with maxed, formaed and modded weapons. Breaking 10 minutes was a hard mark.

Ember made much easier to farm resources, her damage helping my DPS and KPS to rise, making me able to reach rotation C in defense and survivals in planets like Saturn and below.

Frost for defense, interceptions, hijacks, some bosses and the occasional nightmare missions, Ember for survival, excavation, farming, and dark sector survival missions where I farmed credits.  Valkyr for index and other missions that required a tanky frame. Ivara for stealth missions.

Because I returned the XBOX I stopped playing until November last year, I purchased my PS4 for 1,500 bucks nearly exclusively to play Warframe, I got second hand Dark Souls and Bloodborn that tipped my decision to purchase it as I am a Soulsborn fan and came to warframe after playing Dark Souls almost exclusively for 1 year.

I am not ashamed to say that I purchased 500 bucks worth of plat, not as much as it sounds given that I am Brazilian and Dollar exchanges,  I even got a Psplus account to better enjoy the game and support it. I honestly love Warframe and hope to see it going strong for many more years to come.

If you were to check my Warframe profile in the Ps4 you will see that vanilla Ember is my most used frame, with my starter Excal second, Ivara third and then Ember prime that I purchased with cash because of how much I like Ember and I wanted to support the game. My most used primary is the Ignis as I used it a lot to farm syndicate medallions daily with Ember.

I am in 4 syndicates since I am not having any luck trading augments and syndicate weapons,  until the unvaulting I was doing at least 9 syndicate missions a day depending if I did more missions after the daily reset. Ember allowed me to balance the syndicate standings with next to no conflict until I began raising up the fourth syndicate, after that I reduced my daily syndicate missions to 3 as to not reduce the standing on the new one as I try to raise it.

In the Plains of Eidolon Ember allows me to farm resources without worrying much about the grineer attacking me while I mine or fish, especially as I was raising my standing in Cetus. Operation Plague Star was a wonderful event for me, I tried a lot of new weapons and frames there, while doing the event I learned from watching an Ember prime player using Fire Blast to make easy work of the event boss.

Knowledge that I then put on use by using Ember rather than Excalibur or Valkyr, allowing me to better help my squads to fight the boss and the massive amounts of infested on the field. Personally I found plague Star the best event that I took part of yet, I am also counting the acolytes, razorback and fomorian events.

I commented to my brother and mother that I liked the event because while my squad and I were fighting the boss, the confusion of the field, the constant assault of the enemy , the cooperation between the squad and the sheer scale of the fight made me think of the scene of Terminator 2 where the terminator shoots the minigun at the police cars and the heli pilot screams ‘it is a warzone down there!’.

That event made me feel like I was honestly fighting a war, yes we did cheese it a bit with Ember, Nova and a couple of other methods that I don’t recall right now, it really made me feel like I was a space ninja warrior fighting a horrible never-ending enemy horde for the sake of the civilians.

BTW, Glast’s Gambit has one of the best moments beside 2nd Dream for me, the time where you arrive at the colony and they whisper and talk that you, a tenno, arrived to help, I could feel their hope and gratitude both times that I did that quest in the two platforms.

I mention this because it was part of the moments that really made me feel like I am a hero there.  Plague Star for me felt like what the trials should be, adding the personal touch from GG would make for a good trial/raid.

This was brought up because I used Ember for Plague Star and Glast’s Gambit, I used Frost on XBOX 1 and some of the NPCs helping me on the first stage died to the infested and I felt that I failed because they died because I couldn’t kill the infested fast enough. That I wasn’t good and experienced enough to be the hero that the people there saw me at.

Sure when I began anew on PS4 is when I saw that my nearly 3 months of experience in XBOX 1 and the videos that I watched during the lull amounted for, my PC can’t run warframe, I picked Excalibur as started, I played with Volt in my brother’s XBOX account to try it out and I started with Mag in my own account.

I saw the massive difference that just that made to the gameplay, I also selected different weapons, instead of the bow as primary and pistol for secondary I picked the rifle as primary and the kunai, the sword for melee remained the same.

What shocked me the most was seeing that just by having 75 or so days of experience made to the beginner experience, sure I hated that I lost my few, 2, primed mods, my other maxed out mods and frames.  But just by properly managing my foundry and having access to coop from the start made the game much better to play.

In 2 days or so I joined a clan that right now I am in the third leadership rank on, with leading privileges, because I grinded hard to expand the clan and unlocked somewhere between 20 or 30 percent of the researches for all 4 labs. Including 110 nitains for wukong, unlocked Nehza and Zephyr, not counting the weapons, when the baza update dropped I was there in the dojo dumping the resources for it, unlocking the baza and leaving the cassowary 95% unlocked as I ran out of a resource.

Back to my returning experience, with coop unlocked I was able to gather resources and credits much faster, so I could purchase BPs and build them much faster, I was shocked when I saw that just by building and using the weapons to MR 30 I effortlessly climbed to MR 10 in 10 days, I matched my almost 3 months XBOX effort in 10 days, in the next day I got to MR11 and my progress slowed a bit, today I am MR 20, in almost 4 months I doubled my MR when comparing to XBOX 1. Mostly because the coop is available even without a premium account.

The other reason is obvious, Ember. I could leisurely rank things up with Ember, max out my syndicate standing, work my focus, look for ayatans and syndicate medallions, farm resources and help out new players.

Early in my online gaming life, way back in the 90s I played Diablo online, a more experienced player came and helped me, she gave me a set of armor and a set of rings and pendants that allowed me to use said armor and we played a bit. I never forgot that, later in my MMO life I played Ragnarok Online, again a more experienced player helped my noob ass for a bit and gave me some gear that it would have taken me a long time to grind for.

I obviously passed on the experience and helped newer players joining the game, teaching them good grinding spots, giving them better gear than the starter gear and helping them grind for a while.

I was looking forward for that kind of experience on Warframe when I first tried it in XBOX 1, to have it denied because Microsoft is greedy really made me regret purchasing a XBOX 360 and the games for it. I heard so much about how the community was great and helpful that I wanted to be part of it.

This is why I got the PS4, which is why I help new players when I meet them in random missions and they later ask me to join in a mission or to help them do a mission or another, or just farm for an early frame like Rhino or Frost. I even go an extra mile and take them to void so they can get the control modules for it and to Jupiter for the neural s sensors. Because I personally hated that I couldn’t just build Rhino as soon as I farmed his parts because I couldn’t get those two components for nearly 3 weeks in XBOX.

In those missions I mostly run Ember, if we are farming I will switch to Nekros, if needed in the mission I will use WoF, mostly to res the new guy if downed or if he is crowded. Depending on the mission type I will keep WoF on, excavations is one where I keep it on as doing 10 + excavators can be hard for mr 1~3 players with low ranked weapons likely unmodded.

I can understand that some players hate WoF Embers with long ranges, I hate Limbo, it takes me a lot of effort to no abort a mission where there is a Limbo on the squad, many times when I play other frames, without a melee weapon because I am leveling a primary or secondary, the Limbo uses a max range cataclysm and now I can’t hit the enemies and the entire room is like that.

Yet I stick around and play, I did missions with a Resonating quake Banshee and was ok in letting that player to the heavy work. In my warframe career only 2 times some random guy complained about me running WoF Ember, one time the player somewhat rudely asked me to stay away from him in a excavation, so I did. The other time the guy was even ruder and just complained at the end of the missions about WoF embers, when he could easily left the mission, the other 2 players in that mission voiced no protest at my Ember and were pretty surprised at the guy’s hostility.

A lot of players plainly speedrun missions with any number of frames, even playing as Mirage prime I saw people just ignoring enemies and speeding towards a capture target or hostage, while I moved slower because I was after some resource or wanted the affinity from killing the enemies.

Warframe has a lot of farming and grinding, I do mean a lot, everyone knows it.  The new changes to Ember and Banshee removed two of the best methods that we can use to efficiently farm, level up or grind.

With Banshee I could swiftly level up weapons, get some focus or max out syndicate standings. With Ember farming, getting standing and focus  was easy. I spend a lot of time and effort to grind my syndicate to get the Ember augs, same with Banshee.

I take Ember to some of the Sorties, my build has no mods like Vitality, Steel Fiber and similar survivability mods. I built my Ember to have long range, duration and efficiency, I sacrificed the ability to take more hits to be able to kill enemies at range and have them crowd controlled while I focus on farming or rescuing a fallen ally or a hostage.

The changes on Ember are a horrible nerf on my eyes, lore wise it makes no sense for Ember to lose so much range in exchange of a meager power boost, it is meager. Ember still can’t kill sortie level enemies with her abilities. Her fireball takes too long to charge, using accelerant while planning to use her WoF with the current changes make it horrible expensive even with a maxed streamline.

Her fireblast is situational at best, at most is a “Oh sh!t!”  CC button s the ring range is horribly small, without its augment enemies just run past the ring tanking negligible damage.

WoF was her main ability because its range and CC with firequake.  Lorewise Ember wasn’t made for high level content, her role in the tenno/orokin army is to wipe out the mundane units leaving the stronger units to be killed by other frames or picked out with a weapon. She wasn’t made to fight lv 100+ enemies on her own.

Gameplay wise I can see that some players don’t like a WoF Ember in their squads, but their complains about kills feel silly as I see no point in bragging about yellow numbers that you see once at the end of the mission with some random people that you likely will never be matched to again. You gain affinity anyway if you are near the Ember player anyway and you also get the drops.

I can understand that some players find boring that one frame or another is doing everything, but as I said before and others likely said as well, if you don’t like playing in a squad with a certain frame, leave said squad. I am not that fond of playing with or as a Nekros as I often mistake the summoned shadows by enemies and waste ammo shooting them, still I don’t complain about that. Or I cuss a Limbo player because he canceled the ability of everyone to use ranged weaponry.

Most of the time I just shrug and finish the mission, just once I left a mission because the Limbo guy was spamming cataclysm and removing my ranged combat over and over again with a huge ranged cataclysm or sending me to the rift without a reason again removing my ability to use my ranged weapons.

Ok, I will stop the random–ish rant part, I believe that with some changes WoF changes will be better.

For starters have the ability page show how the stats change when the new % counter is at 100%, like how much range is lost and how much energy will drain. The only way that I could see that is to go to the simulacrum and use WoF wait for the counter to max and then see the new stats.

I can kind of agree to the range reduction despite the fact that I hate said range reduction as my entire build was centered on range, with 3 range mods, Augur reach, stretch and cunning drift, it gave me 29 or so meters of range, with high duration and efficiency on it. In poE that is nothing, with the new focus on open world maps this range nerf goes against this new direction making Ember a far less viable frame for those areas.

A one third damage reduction would be ok, or just the range reduction, I would even accept firequake negating the reduction to range while reducing the power strength to compensate, allowing Ember to CC enemies at range while leaving the enemies able to be killed by allies.

The energy drain is also something that I could accept on its own, it feels like it is a fair trade to get a double energy drain at max % counter in exchange to keeping her range as it was before these changes.  I normally build my frames for efficiency and duration, so this wouldn’t be anything too different from my usual.

However the range reduction and energy drain together is too much. In order to get a somewhat good range with the new changes I need to use overextended, and with a one from the top maxed overextended I barely get 19 meters. That is just 4 meters more than a unmodded Ember’s max range before the 5 seconds counter cuts said range to meager 7,5 meters.

The doubled damage is meaningless as it is a fixed number 800 to a unmodded Ember with a 7.5 range and a 6 energy per second drain. It is not enough to counter the negatives.  With my regular build at 100% it is a 2 energy per second, 14 meters range and a 800 flat damage. 1 less meter than a unmodded WoF starting range. With no boosts to its status chance, if you are going to reduce the range and increase the cost at least double the status chance of WoF at 100% after 5 seconds and maybe have WoF damage boost add to her other abilities.

I believe that if the negative was just to one, like either range or increase energy drain, it would be far less harsh. Or maybe change the damage from a flat number to a something that scales better like being a percent or something on those lines.

To get the best results for me, as the lowest energy drain and the longest range without corrupted mods, I had to sacrifice mod slots that I could have placed a quality of life mod lie Vitality or armored agility, or ones to increase power strength.

The players that complain about WoF Embers don’t realize the tradeoffs that Ember players do to achieve the range of CC that we get. Now to achieve ranges slightly better or just a little lower than Ember’s unmodded original range we need to sacrifice even more mod slots for it. To get 19 meters I need to remove Firequake, in most of the star chart that is okayish, but now I can’t take Ember to sorties as she can no longer CC the mobs there and with a unmodded health and shield pool one or two hits at sorties put her down.

I love Ember, she is one of my favorite frames, it is not just how much easier she makes my life when farming. I love her design, especially her prime look; I have that Ember Prime fanart that we can use on displays as my phone’s wallpaper.

I want her to remain a good warframe, especially for new players and players who want to play the game solo. She made so much easier to farm relics when I was stuck playing solo. I don’t want to see her viability to players without primed mods or hard to get corrupted mods reduced to nothing.

When I first got all her parts from Ruk I was thrilled, I knew that she was a good frame, even if a bit squishy, but with some not too hard to get mods she was great. When I got her parts on Ps4 I was also thrilled because I would once again have and be able to use one of my favorite frames.

So if you are going to make WoF changes permanent at least make them balanced and not something that will cripple her.

  13. I have a few that i use often:

    Ignis for farming resources and syndicates medallions;

    Braton prime and tenora for DPS and plain fun, I got the tenora last week and am still formaing it, but I am enjoying it thanks to the high cap mag and ammo stock, the secondary fire is also fun;

    Baza for stealth with Ivara and cause it is fun too;

Latron wraith is pretty nice in the ocasion, and the vectis is my fav sniper.

Otherwise I use the rakta cernos.

As for modding I use the general three damage mods, plus vigilant armaments and shred, then I add elemental mods based on the weapon's best option, hunter munitions on crit weapons and dual stats mods for the status ones. Otherwise I just mod in the way that I feel that is the best for my style.

  14. 6 hours ago, blaes said:

why not both? sure that means you need a potato (so maybe wait to get the prime), but you can totally use both invisibility and radial disarm very successfully within one build.

    -------

Loki and Ivara are both very good, but pretty well balanced. Ivara has a stronger stealth game, but she's also overall slower and has a more collected/sedate gamepace than Loki. Loki plays a lot more nervously, but with a tiny bit weaker stealth.

Ash will be OK once bladestorm is fixed.

Octavia on the other hand is massively OP. She can give perma-stealth to the whole team, insane buffs (600% weapon damage increase, 100% armor, 90% movement speed/multishot/melee damage), can disable the enemies while grouping them up (better than radial disarm will ever do), AND has an AoE that scale very well off of enemies damage.

As you mentioned I didn't put a potato on him. I modded my Ivara for extra sprint speed that increases her base speed which also boosts her prowl speed, with her infiltrate mod she is much faster. Sure not as fast as Loki or without prowl. But I use Ivara mostly for farming simaris rep, sentient cores and some riven challenges, I am good enough with spy missions that I dont need her that much for it. I also use her for exterminates when I am not in a rush and want to do mostly stealth kills.

Loki just don't suit my playstyle that much, for some reason when I prowl with Ivara I end slowing my breath and even holding my breath while stealtying it kinds of immerses me more than Loki's stealth. Maybe after the unvaulting I might play Loki some more and find something else to fit him, right now he isn't that great to me. I think that a lot of players, especially new ones, go to Loki expecting to have a frame that will make the missions easier for him with stealth and disarming the enemies, what we get isn't that. Plus he is kind of ugly, and some helmets...

  15. I  dont particularly like Loki. When I began playing last year, a couple of weeks before Ambulas reborn I didn't have live gold on my xbox and I couldn't play cooperative. So I always struggled with Xp and loot. I wanted Loki bad so I could do spy missions, but when I got him I saw that he wasn't that good, less than 20 seconds of invisibility, no damaging attacks, not so great utility kit and a look that I don't really like. So I used him and other frames to farm hard for Ivara, and in a weekend or 3 days I got all the parts for Ivara and I booted Loki from my roster. I didn't waste a potato or forma on him, I also didn't have corrupt mods to us on him. But I had maxed out streamline and continuity. Since I didn't like him at max level I didn't invest my rare potatoes on him.

Now I am playing on ps4 and have more slots I keep Loki around for when I want to level some gear, still no potato on him nor his augs, he feels better as a RD Loki than invs. If nothing else if his invs changes from short duration to toggle he would be a better stealth frame in my eyes. For stealth Ivara, for leveling weapons in a defense Loki, I don't have Ash for anything other than just owning him, even worse stealth than Loki and I don't like his kit either.

When i get Loki prime I might then use a potato or forma on him, otherwise Loki remains a unmodded vanilla with not much use for me. With ivara I don't have to worry about my invisibility timer running out when I least expect. Plus ivara's pickpocket makes her great to farm vonvalists for cores.

It doesn't if you use it with a Hush mod.

I know but then i lose DPS or have to sacrifice something else in the build. My ignis is the normal one and not the wraith, With Ember doing the brunt of the killing the ignis doesn't have to be min-maxed for damage, the times that I ran a hushed ignis with Ivara it wasn't doing that well against all factions, even modded for proper elemental combo.

  17. I dont like this nerf. I use ember to do my syndicate missions, casual farming, relic farming and cc. In syndicate missions in particular WoF with firequake allows me to focus on finding the medallions without worrying much about the enemies, since doing medallion farming in public can be annoying as some ppl ignore when you announce that you are there for the medallions and just extract when the objective is done. With the upcoming unvaulting farming the syndicate missions for medallions to buy relic packs becomes more important. I can kind of swallow the power drain being doubled or something like that after a certain threshold, I can kind of accept if her WoF range decreases to something akin to the unmodded values, the two together feel like too much but still somewhat acceptable, however shrinking her range by half of the modded value alongside the energy cost to get a 2x power boost in a set value is too much.

Pair this with the banshee nerf that is two avenues of quick solo farming removed. I like the current WoF mechanics, sure taking Ember to higher level content would be nice, but I can do sortie 1 missions with Ember as cc and rely on my weapons for raw damage. Unless she gets armor buffs and her other skills reworked or buffed this nerf just kills Ember's utility, doing 2 rotations for farming relics up to meso will become much harder and keeping up to rotation c for axi ones will become even worse in terms of energy management when you don't want to use a more complex frame, solo or not.

With Ember I know that I can reliably do a lot of the daily grinding without having to stress out too much. I tried using other frames for my syndicate dailies that always spawn medallions and they don't produce the same results. With Ivara the ignis breaks her stealth, Ash and Loki's stealth runs out too fast to be useful. Excalibur is an ok one for changing the pace but still not as good as Ember, same as Mirage prime. I don't like Equinox, Saryn doesn't fit my farming style, Nekros is more for resource farming than medallion farming.

This bit is just my personal opinion, I will admit that I never saw Ember as a high level content frame, in the star chart she does pretty well on regular missions. Lore wise I can see where Ember would fit in a combat team in a war, she is there to kill the grunts in droves, possibly cc quality units so her better fighter colleagues can deal with the better units and stronger ones. No frame will match every scenario and trying to do so removes the uniqueness of the frame, each frame is supposed to be a specialist on something, Ember was meant for killing large groups of enemies on low to mid levels.

On my eyes these changes just remove Ember's value as a everyday use frame on the star chart, I can only hope that it isn't as bad as it sounds as I was planning on purchasing the loki/ember prime pack because I use and like Ember so much, if the nerf is so bad I might not do so.

It says to go to Syrtis on Mars or Montes on Venus. The drop rate is 3.76% so just keep doing those missions and killing things and you'll get it.

As for the avionics for Mantis, you'll either have to farm for hours or just buy all of the parts on the market. You get all of the mantis parts from either reinforced or rare storage containers, so keep looking for shiny Orokin chests in every crevice of the map (you definitely won't find one every mission).

    Hope this helps (:

    Thanks.
