    Original Thread (2018):

A few players lingered together over the years, however - we are back & thriving, & hoping to find like-minded players who want to play & socialize together regularly.

Whether you play 3~5 evenings a week or so many hours every day that you likely feel ashamed and proud of your tally at the same time: You will fit right in! We want a casual atmosphere with players who play efficiently & want to enjoy the game at its most wild & fun. While we've thrown out some of the formalities that our Clan was originally based on, we still want to have a positive vibe based on camaraderie & meeting new friends. You do not have to be active 60 hours every week, but we do want players who intend to stick around.

We enjoy helping other players with tasks & banding together for research projects, but we are not a community to necessarily shepherd many players from Square1.

  2. I would say it means you are loyal. @ 2400 hours it is about the equivalent of 3 months of logged in time. 100 days at that amount of time over 1.5 years means playing about 5 hours per day on average. 5 years of playing @ 2k hours is essentially 1,825 days / time played means playing less than an hour per day, or more than likely just a couple days a week for possibly slightly longer sessions.

For a bulk of dedicated casual, mid~hc gamers, and mmo junkies who have one dedicated title with possibly a couple solo titles on the side - 16~30 hours a week is about average for time investment between all categories for min / max high and low end.

That also goes into the content diversity section, Warframe should not all feel like one thing. There is not enough very different content to sustain a player who wants to spend most of their free time each day/week in a single title for more than 6 months ~ 1 year without doing nearly everything available or burning out on the limited options to them.

  3. I wrote an article, there's both an older entry and an update to the general topic I published today.

I cover the state of the genre, aspects that truly make a great MMO, as well as touch on some aspects of Warframe that troubled me. With almost 2.5k hours invested in WF alone and an MMO career dating back to 2003, I feel I have earned an opinion piece.

    MAY 21 UPDATE:

Happy Tuesday! We are on track for release this week. We traditionally release Wednesdays or Thursdays - so you can expect Red Text to appear one of those days.... we're very excited, Tenno. The Anticipation!

Traditional is fine, but to play devil's advocate ~ You shouldn't have built up hype for a maybe last week release when you clearly were not ready, then keep your audience waiting over an extended weekend to this news. It's not anticipation, it's annoyance that much of the community is feeling.

I say this as I'm losing Clan members to Elder Scrolls Online and others just due to endgame lack of content and frustration.

I don't consider the wait rough. Just annoying. I was on hiatus due to being pretty burnt out on the game. Was surprised to learn the best items from one of the new gameplay features they'd added happened to be event items that happen one whatever interval.

It was annoying enough that I haven't really messed with zaws. No matter how I look at it there isn't really a good way to ignore the fact that I know anything I can do with the system now doesn't matter as I'm just killing time to get the parts that makes the weapon(s) I want to use.

But it's not a huge deal. Same thing happens with event weapons. They just disappear for however long and then eventually turn up in some drop pool.

Admittedly, Dokrahm still shines as one of the best melee weapons w/ Tempo Royale.

I just want the event to happen. It's very annoying to have part of the zaw system gated off. Especially the better part.

I had just started playing 3~4 months before it came 2 rounds ago, and both wasn't ready for it nor did I understand the potential of Zaws back then. Thankfully I did get in last time and am quite grateful, but a lot of my Clan members are still needing it too.

I know it's rough to wait, but it is worth it.

If it's not done, then why was it released?

Except you know what the best stance was? None of them. Literally this - the no-stance quick attack. Why? Because it had zero animation lock (definitely for polearms and staves, I never really used many other melee weapons). The only valid reason for a game taking control away from you is because you've been hit with a disabling attack (and even then it should be done sparingly). If your own weapons stunlock you, then there is something critically wrong with your game design.

Because it's not "attack vs. draw then attack", it's "attack vs. do a long interpretive dance routine". Someone already explained why this is a problem, see below.

Oh, and here's the same video I keep posting in every single melee rework thread illustrating why stances are utterly horrible.

    Jfc...

Melee stances, the modding system, rivens... It all gives you the ability to tailor weapons to your preferences. Melee combat in WF is incredible and fun. No, not all stances are winners. Many may be utter crap to you. But that does not therefore determine all stance combat is shi7e.

No, melee combat stance is not always...(waaaaaa.. slow)

Primed Fury + berserker or a Riven with attack Speed to double up can still easily decimate 150+ enemies with Grace in seconds.

    Git gud.

If I want to swap into melee I have to press a different button than my "swap weapons" button. And it couples that swap with an attack which eats up animation frames and just makes it clunky. I'm trying to pull out my redeemer, not fire it at some random point on the screen when I'm not even aiming at anything.

I can't activate my block animation because if I right click it goes back to my primary weapon. So, gone are also the easy "hold right mouse button and spam left click" for combos. Because the moment you hold right mouse you go back to primary weapon.

If I have my redeemer equipped and I press 4 to go peacemaker to fire at an enemy, upon exiting peacemaker I'm thrown right back into my primary weapon. So, it just looks even more stupid now if I had wanted to stay in melee because I have to press E again to randomly fire at nothing on the screen to equip my redeemer again.

That said, it's so annoying and clunky to use I don't even want to use it anymore. I've unequipped my redeemer prime.
But, now I have nothing to easily cut containers open so it's literally just making me not want to play warframe. Going to quit and only play when I really feel like playing or when these issues are fixed.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the old system. Please have an option to go back to the old system. This new system makes me not want to melee, ever and because I'm not meleeing I don't even want to play.

    ... Waaa...

The old way is being phased out. Move on.

If you use the keyboard default melee attack button everything is just fine. You can still hold right click to scope the Redeemer when needed.

Holding right click and mashing left and even spin to win does not equal skill. This is a key-bind issue and you need to stop complaining that the game isn't tailored to you.

    Adapt, overcome, up your game...

Just did some quick numbers, there are 17 acts each week (7 Dailies - each lasting 72 hours and rewarding 1000 standing, 7 Weekly and 3 Elite Weekly rewarding 3000 and 5000 respectively for a total of 43000 standing). This means that you need to get ~70% of the acts' standing each week which can be accomplished by doing only the weeklies (~47% of the missions). The current weekly acts took me less than three hours to complete, same as last weeks. One should be able to obtain the Rank 30 reward in less than 30 hours of game time over 10 weeks.

Additionally, a lot of these weekly Nightwave Acts are missions and events that are beneficial to do for reasons other than Nightwave. The one hour Kuva survival (with a friend so you can complete both acts at the same time 5000 + 5000 standing) will have many eximus units for you to kill (there is another 3000 standing) and will most definitely drop 8 rare mods (3000 standing). Then you and the friend could go and do the sortie (3000 standing) and possibly get a riven. I happened to get a Kitgun riven that required me to pick up 15 syndicate medallions. I went and ran several syndicate missions (ended up doing 10 of them, 3000 standing) and can now reroll my new Rattleguts riven twice because of the 7000 Kuva I got from the Kuva survival. At that point I decided to forma my rattleguts, I took it into Elite Sanctuary Onslaught and ran a few zones (5000 standing) to get it to rank 30 again. Now all I have left to do is a few easy Void Fissures to crack a few relics, maybe I'll get something worth a bit of plat... otherwise Baro Ki'Teer is coming this weekend and he will be more than happy to take any items in low demand.

I couldn't help but giggle a little along with this.

Pardon me, OP - but this is an MMO. They are releasing new content to keep people interested in playing. Complaining that you want to be able to quit an online game for a few months multiple times yet come back to have more to do is a terrible and laughable argument for any case you were trying to make.

It's an online game, they're giving us content and they are not just watering it all down to the simplest / most trivial of tasks. Kuva survival was a nice addition to see.

  10. When in dojo decoration mode the game crashes consistently nearly every time. Not instantly - but within 2~4 minutes in deco mode the game goes black, minimizes, and then I have to force-close & re-open.

    alt tab display

I have updated (win10), drivers, ran system checks, etc. This issue has persisted for 3~4 weeks now.

I have tried altering the DX options in the launcher window, have high-end components (titan X, etc).

  11. I was about to post a new topic related to this subject. The OP said a lot better and more clearly than I would have.

The riven disposition changes were absolute crap. A weapon w/ a 1 disposition vs one w/ a 5 is a huge difference in stats considering some can roll 160-300% bonuses, but with a 1 disposition you're lucky to see +50-60% on a particular stat.

Also.. sorry, not sorry - but the claim that they are based on the weapons use within the community is also kind of crap. The Simulor for example had a broken window where it was nerfed. I don't mind the new firing function and would like to make use of it, but with how the weapon is now - I expected it to jump up to at least a 3 (given that a lot of people simply do not use it anymore). I saw more of my weapons take a 1 point drop than I did increase and many weapons such as the Simulor are still screwed.

  12. So:

    • Secondaries have Primed Critical Hit + Damage
    • Shotguns have Primed Critical Damage

Does this mean a Primed Critical Hit is on the horizon for Rifles?

Love all the care and passion you're pouring into WF DE. Thanks for everything~
