  1. Arguing that this logic could be applied to Warframes is likewise weak as:

Warframes and Auras were released at different points in time.

Auras are available via Alerts Monthly

Warframes are functionally complete without Auras

Melee weapons aren't complete without their corresponding Stance mods... Ask any Jat Kittag user.

According to that logic, though, it could be easily argued that:

Melee weapons and stances were released at different points in time (with the exception of two stances.)

Stances are available via mob drops.

Melee weapons are functionally complete without stances.

Most stances vary on how much of a benefit they give to their respective weapons, but those weapons accomplish their intended function despite having a stance or not.

  2. Fine, please explain how garbage tier nova frame is somehow better than Ember, Nova's ult speeds the enemies up for christ sake. She has no stuns, her second skill does hardly any damage, an expensive and unreliable mobility skill, and her first ability is a waste of 25 energy.

While Ember has a stun that increases her damage significantly, a first skill that can be utilized for damage AND CC, a third skill that can redirect infested, and her fourth skill does crazy damage while she's moving.

In addition to GreyEnneract's post, Ember hardly compares to Nova.

Her fireball hardly counts as a CC with such a small AoE, and her accelerant has the same issue as Valkyr's Warcry in that it often only benefits her. Fire Blast's damage is fairly low and its damage per second only lasts as long as enemies stay in its pencil-thin area, and World on fire would be more impressive if it could hit more than 2 enemies per second.

  3. 1. Why can't a beta be ported to other gaming platforms?

    2. Most betas feature content updates (every beta that I've ever heard of).

    3. New bugs for us to unearth... y'know, like testers.

    1. Why make another port when you already have two versions still undergoing "beta?"

    2. Most betas usually involve preparing for a "release."

    3. So even if the game "released" with numerous bugs and issues, we'd still be "testing" the game?

  4. What are you talking about ?

    Read my comments before...

The sound which we hear in his video comes from a software of macro.

You can reproduce this continuous sound by typing as a horse on your keyboard, okay ?

And Nekro is my main, i have a 5 formas Nekros, spe Desecration, so i know about what i speak...

Still doesn't mean that any extra software was needed, as he was explaining. you could've simply mashed 3 and you would've achieved the same thing. And casting it that fast meant you'd clear out the corpses faster than we were before and after 13.3.0.

  5. People drop thousands of dollars on unimpressive little metal bands called "engagement rings" all the time, and they never regret it.

With Warframe, you spend much less money than that and you get a ton of cool stuff to boot! The decision looks clear to me!

And I'm not just saying that because DE kicks me a small fee every time I say it :P

  6. Charge Attacks were one of the biggest problems with Melee 1.0

The problem was that, with old melee, you were better off using charge attacks because normal attacks on almost all weapons were not worth using. Now, normal attacks got a damage boost, some attacks that were single-target now hit multiple enemies, and some stances provide either multiple hits in an animation or a way to attack enemies from farther-than-normal distances.

What they could do, if people really feel so negative towards charge attacks, is to make it based on timing, where you have to release the charge attack at the right time for optimal damage. Let's say the galatine ended up having a charge attack dealing more that its old damage or something, maybe 1k damage, but required a 4 second charge time. If you released the charge too early or too late, you'll only do damage closer to normal attacks. If you get it at the right time, however, you deal the full charge damage instead.

This way, it'll prevent the spamming of charge attacks from before while rewarding well-timed hits with good damage.

  7. Any clue if you're experiencing low fps? Burst fire weapons are heavily affected by it. High fps alongside high fire rate will let you fire burst after burst with little delay, while low fps will create long delays despite your fire rate.

Also, it's suggested that fire rate mods should only affect the delay, rather than the actual speed of the burst.

  8. -snip-

To be equally fair, your statements show some defense towards DE since you failed to mention that most of the outrage came from the fact that just about the entirety of U13 was placed behind a grindwall that relied on hunting the rare prosecutors with the correct basic element in order to get one of four types of beacons, one of which being rarer than diamond, and hunting a number of enemies to get stances for the Melee 2.0 system that we've been oh so patiently waiting for, with some of them having a <1% chance of dropping and many of these being on the rarer enemies like electric crawlers. There is also the issue that, although they apologize, they don't necessarily address the problems in their apology, making it seem like they're saying sorry just because. Then again, I might be wrong on that last part since it's always difficult to stick around 50+ page threads.

All this hostility comes from the fact that arguments from both sides are often shielded from heavy criticism, as seen in OP's earlier posts, or misinterpreted or perceived as threatening, as seen in our current conflict. It doesn't help that both sides are in the right at some points. Yes, this is indeed a fun game and yes, there are flaws. That doesn't mean I should be grateful nor should I just outright sh!t on the game. My point is that, while proper arguments bring out better discussions, it's stuff like what's seen in this thread - the blind praise and disdain of DE and Warframe - that bring about the worst of people.

As for that whole grind complaint, that was directed more towards Drunken_Child's response towards someone complaining about the RNG:

i will not say thank you to DE

until RNG is actually dealt with, or your know... do Token System that Nugget_ made awhile back DE.... just a thought

Wow, people like you amaze me, so selfish, how would you feel if DE just shuts us out and refuses to listen to us. We should be thankful that DE is able to put up with people like you and not shut out the masses.

Sure, the term "white knight" was thrown about a bit, but this is some max level holy paladin sh!t going on here.

  9. Im not white knighting anything

I jut think people should take it a little easier

The backlash at U13 was far higher than it shouldve been

They apologized and offered compensation and people still treated them much more worse than they have ever deserved

They have alot of work to do and alot of questions to answer and things to answer to that they dont

    Still

They listen to ALOT of player feedback and use it often

Theyre quick to work on bugs and fixes and in all honesty just arent bad people from what ive seen

    Its not white knighting

    You're not even trying!

Just because they fixed a lot of bugs doesn't mean there will be less problems in the future.

Just because they apologized doesn't make everything okay.

Just because a comment is negative towards anyone in particular doesn't make it bullying.

Just because people call the game an MMO doesn't mean the grind is fine.

Why is it so hard to accept that this game has a lot of flaws? Why is it necessary to defend every little thing, from the cluttered RNG systems to these damn "Thanks DE" threads? Please, explain how any of this gives every damnably ignorant post thanking DE more value than any other post.

  10. For anyone who runs an efficiency build, removing 75% of your energy is the same as removing 0% of it.

Just adding my two cents in, but if you're ever doing an infested survival, you'll likely need a Nekros to spam desecrate to even get past 20 minutes, depending on the map layout. And you lose out on a lot of potential life support if your Nekros ever gets disrupted. Coupled with the fact that the Nekros is likely still recovering from a knockdown, his low defenses, and the gang of other ancients likely charging in, he/she is going to have a bad time.

  11. Frost is perfectly fine. I use him in both low and high level defense. Snow Globe is still a life saver - you just now have to be actively keeping an eye on it. I not so long ago soloed a high level Defense alert, and my Frost wasn't even forma'd (it was the wide open Grineer asteroid defense map.).

Ember is also perfectly fine. I use her mainly in infestation missions where she tends to shine thanks to her fire capabilities. Accelerant is a very worthy successor to Overheat, and synergizes with all of her abilities very well. Infact, Ember is my favorite warframe.

It's perfectly fine to point out flaws and give input. Hell, DE asks for input every single time they release something new or revamp a particular warframe. But preemptively condemning their efforts or acting like they're incompetent doesn't help anyone.

I was talking about day one of their rework releases, as in no starting invincibility or health boost on snow globe or anything other than world on fire doing sufficient damage to be worth the energy. My real beef is that now it seems that Frost now relies on too many mods for snow globe to be efficient. With Ember, her Fire Blast can't be stacked for extra damage like before and, if I recall correctly, was affected by range mods. Also, I felt that overheat was somewhat better due it being a self-buff rather than an applied debuff, and it added damage mitigation up to about 90%, especially since Ember relies on being in close range for WoF to work but normally lacks sufficient defenses.

I'm not outright saying that they're incompetent, but their history of reworks so far haven't been too great. We weren't provided too much information other than a fire-boosting debuff was replacing the "make Ember a tank" buff and that Snow Globe would break after an unexplained amount of damage. Sure, people started protesting about the suggested changes before they went active, but that don't mean that such arguments should be denounced because "you haven't tried it yet so how do you know it's bad." It's like getting a plate of fish and saying that you didn't want or even like fish, but the waiter tells you that you don't know that it is fish until you eat it.

  12. I don't think anyone who's posted so far has even bothered to read your post or watch your videos. The people here are ridiculously lazy and just post for the sake of posting.

Please keep working on it, I'd love to your your macro.

Either that, or they just don't like fun or innovative controls. It also look like it would make maneuvering around obstacles a lot easier than having to "parkour" over them or whatever.

  13. I personally think that all of the "unconventional" weapons should fall under the shotgun category since making a "launcher" category would cause more headaches.

Yeah, because the Ogris and Penta clearly need mods that give +120% multishot, +240% more damage, and +150% fire rate.

  14. - Castana's maximum throw cap will be bugging. You will be able to throw/fire only twice (either you hit the maximum cap of 6 or not) instead of 3 times.

    - Castana's present count of 3 times thrown castanas, will glitch up to 8 castanas at the same time (multishot of 180%, unlike penta, which will stop counting at 5 grenades while firing 3 of 5 times).

Not quite sure what you're saying here, but it clearly has something to do with the cap and multishot. The Castanas can only have a maximum of 6 knives deployed, after which you cannot throw any more until they're detonated. When equipped with multishot mods, the extra knives per shot also count towards the cap.

So if you have 100% multishot on your castanas, you can only throw three sets of two knives. Likewise, with a 180% chance for multishot, you have an 80% chance to throw three knives at once, and the other 20% chance to throw only two knives. As such, it is technically possible to still require three throws to meet the cap if one of the first two throws only count as two knives.

However, when you make the third throw to meet the cap, it will only throw one knife rather than two or three because you have met the cap with that one knife.

So unless your third throw is dealing as much damage with one knife as your other throws with more knives, I doubt that you're actually throwing more than the cap. If the former is actually the case though, then we clearly have problems.

  15. What OP's trying to state is that the tactic of shooting Jackal's legs to break its shields makes solo fights easy, but becomes a hassle with a team that constantly shoots its legs out to damage its health, only for it to go invulnerable again and again.

In normal missions, the Jackal can be taken down fairly quickly, even with the short moments of invulnerability. The problem is more noticeable when fighting nightmare jackal or an alert jackal in a high level planet. During these missions, the amount of damage you can do between stuns is very minimal and, with the invulnerable recovery frames, draws the battle out, often to the point where you can fail a mission with a nightmare timer.

That being said, while the Jackal does serve as a unique boss for new players, it becomes more of a hassle when trying to farm Rhino parts or running Alert/Nightmare Missions and certainly does need a rework that doesn't make it invulnerable every other second.

  16. I am just saying that a lot of indie devs are a lot more active with there community and what not.

The problem is that they're not exactly the definition of "indie devs," which is commonly considered a small group of friends or whatever. I assume the reason why people consider them "indie devs" is because of their current six or seven(?) head staff members that we commonly see on the forums and livestreams.

Rather, DE's a small development company (if you want to count an estimated 170 employees as small) that have a 20-year history involving Unreal, many ports, and pinball. They're about as "indie" as Trion or Valve, which might be a stretch but it still serves as an example.

  17. Afterwards you can do a video of a weapon that isn't a waste of time and compare the time disparity.

Actually lets go one step further, and check that high level mod and forma privilige, new players are gonna have a short supply of both. So why don't you also record how many hours it takes to farm up that weapon from 1-30 multiple times, farm up the forma needed to do it and play RNG lottery to get decent mods so you can actually threaten high level enemies. All while not switching out to a decent weapon at any point in time.

The "switching out to a decent weapon" also needs to apply to the initial leveling part of this "challenge," since this originated from a discussion concerning the XP system revamp where people would have to exclusively use one weapon in order to achieve the highest amount of experience for it. Also, the fact that XP 2.0 could have been released within the last month means that, new melee or not, a lot of people would have had to level weapons such as the daggers and fists in such a way that it would not be productive.

Let's not forget that, later on in that section, he denounces multiple weapons because they are, as he put it, "totally nonviable or terribly crappy."

In addition, I want to mockingly point out that he will also refuse to use weapons that either he "doesn't like to use" or is a melee weapon because "DE hasn't made melee fun yet."

  18. There were two stream offers here, one was for weapons being viable end-game with potato and forma. The other for the OP about weapons being able to be leveled no potato in a reasonable amount of time and difficulty. I used Apollodorus as an example of a place with good XP... I never said anything about no potato, no forma T3 void LOL.

I have already done the new player experience thing. Made a new account and beat mercury. Made a thread. Gave feedback. Farmed likes. Everyone knows new player experience needs improvement, including devs. Nothing to prove. No point to make.

The point you're trying to make is that, as you have stated in this exact quote "weapons being viable end-game with potato and forma" AND "weapons being able to be leveled no potato in a reasonable amount of time and difficulty." Multiple times have the former been disproven with weapons such as the starter weapons, the autopistols, most melee weapons - all of which you agreed were not viable.

As for the latter, we give you many weapon options, of which you refuse half of them because they're either "not fun to use" or "melee 2.0 isn't out yet."

As for the part on how you might be doing the "end-game" demonstration, what will you be doing then, if not T3 Void? Outer Terminus? Kril runs?
