Going to be quite honest and say that all other responses to this problem probably don't cost much either way (probably an hour of some developers' time) and that what they did choose is likely the best option.

Also, hotfixes are on hold until the CERT build is up for some platforms, so it might take a hot minute.

The entire gun disappears.

When you rotate or move in Orb Vallis, the particle effects I've highlighted below follow your character and rotate with the camera. This makes no sense to reproduce do the following: Enter the Cambion Drift, move around and rotate camera around your character. Exit and enter Orb Vallis, move around and rotate camera around your character and observe the difference. This has been an issue for a long time and I assume this is the case on all platforms.
