  1. For starters: Mastery Rank is not really any indicator of how good or informed you are about the game. That's as about bad way of saying you're a veteran as how many login days you have (not as bad though). To get mastery all you need is patience or throw money at the game, or both...

Now, you expect a discussion but when somebody addresses your points 'it's too bothersome to read'? Alrighty.

Yes those are pretty easily dropped resources, you either kill lot of enemies, search for them as breakables or kill bosses, they do have a pretty high chance (bout 40% for rare and 20% for any boss to drop an orokin cell, maybe more to my experience) so either your clanmates are inefficient (which I can assume they are since lower rank means they are still fresh to the game) or are simply unlucky in their gathering. Or they aren't playing for long on each session. I can only make assumptions here point being that those resources are acquirable way before you can get to Derelict without using key which means that if anything Derelicts are convienient for getting both neurodes and cells at the same time.

I don't see how difficulty of scanning kavats is related here, really. Kavats are in derelicts, yes. You need their scans for chance at genes but I don't see how their elusiveness is related for derelicts being something special. Or how long you're breeding them...

tl;dr Read previous post starting from " So all in all I will repeat myself: "

As a side note: There is no Indication on how long anyone is playing the game on the forums nor do I care about someones mileage of the game when discussing a feature but I will think less of someone if their argument is:
"Having spent the first part of my time in this game gaining affinity in Derelict Survivals... you are so so so wrong. " with first part saying you're Biased and second sounding childish

    and

" So basically, no, you are wrong. " because I know better and anything you said was untrue because I say so...

If you've spent most of your time earning Affinity in derelicts - Congratulations! You just wasted a ton of your time! Why? Infested give smaller amounts of Affinity than Grineer of the same level, hence why Hydron on Sedna is pretty much a go to spot for farming it and why I hardly see anyone going Akkad anymore.

For gaining affinity Derelicts are irrelevant to most of the playerbase.

Both Orokin Cells* and Neurodes* are a common resource nowadays. Both of these (as well as Gallium, Morphics and Neural Sensors) used to drop as rarely as Argon Crystals drop right now, Argon back in the day was really really rare compared to now. By the time a player is able to hit Derelicts he has Saturn to farm Cells and Nanos and lets see... Starting planet Earth for Neurodes (without the need to craft keys with resources to access any of the missions). Outside of farming nanos for warframes/weapons nanos are used in industrial quantities by veterans for Energy Restores (3k a batch of 10, some vets can pop a hundred a mission so you can see why they'd need to farm nanos). That's the only reason to farm them.

For farming resources* you have better options way before you can access derelicts. And they're not as rare as you think they are.

Unless you're a kavat lover you won't be going for scans all that often into the derelicts. Getting enough Navs for assassination key is ludicrously easy, 1 mission of braking containers in a capture/extermination and there you go, hell if you break all containers during your assassination mission you're bound to have enough navs for next key. As for Mutalist Navs - they're supposed to be hard to get to entice you to skip all possible steps in getting mesa by throwing plat. And relics you can obtain pretty much anywhere in the solar system including void which you can access even earlier than saturn.

As for corrupted mods - how did I downplay them? I just stated that outside of Nekros and Vaults derelict has nothing of interest for the most parts. Corrupted mods are a must if you want to do any sort of specialized builds to max out your warframes potential.

So all in all I will repeat myself:

Outside of Nekros acquiring, running Vaults** to get Corrupted mods (and start Mirage Quest) and speeding up Nav acquirement for Mesa (frankly forgot you can get navs in derelicts, don't expect everyone to remember each and every drop table in wf) - there is nothing much of interest in the Orokin Derelict for the most part which is why most player base doesn't really go there and DE doesn't care about content people don't play often (see Raids R.I.P. and Archwing).
Does this mean they are being wasted as another place you might just visit because you need item X? Yes.
Is it going to change? Never.
DE is constantly chasing after adding new stuff but after doing it hardly revisits it. Systems and/or reasons why game is grindier is all the more reason not to change anything even is similar content was changed (see Void Explosion and Key removal but no same treatment for Derelicts).

This is not me being right or wrong, this is simply the reality. To make a bad pun - Derelicts are just that part of warframe - derelicts of an old age long gone...

**Unranked Corrupted mods are pretty cheap so you can get them even earlier than you can get access to derelicts with simple relic->prime junk->plat->whatever you want.

  3. There is nothing of interest in the Derelicts for the most part. You can farm resources in there, get Nekros there and Vaults with them corrupted mods. I don't think there's much to them besides that really.

And that is the reason DE hardly will care for derelicts or the void* for that matter. If it's not new and exciting (or worse open world) you can forget DE allocating any resources to it.

*Since the changes to the key system received nothing besides maybe a couple of new tiles and visual upgrades along with the rest of the game.

  4. After sleep, a meal and generally cooling off the mini hype that I got from "content" update:

They gave us weapon with too many flaws for which you pay fairly high price in resources to get, indirectly so but so far we have yet to get any information of other means of getting Zylok by anyone who might miss the event (or if you decide to sell the weapon and build it later again).

Quick fix for this weapon would be just doubling the base fire rate, increasing the magazine size by 'dramatic drum rolls' 2 and changing fire mode to burst**.

Then we have decent weapon whose obvious asset recycling can be forgiven...

**Funnily enough just today after having another look at Zylok I "discovered" that it's not even a proper burst weapon but damn Duplex, no wonder firing it feels janky as hell. Like what is the point of putting duplex firing? I can understand and completely agree with a double barrel shotgun aka Tigris family but on a pistol? I can't even...

Side note: Potatoes and Weapon slots are not only cheap (then again their price never changed anyway) but getting enough plat for them is stupidly easy to get by pretty much anyone who did as little content as making it to mars. Counting that into weapon value/whether it's a good giveaway is kinda moot argument to me.

EDIT: Why shouldn't we compare it to all other existing sidearms? Those that I pointed out are heavy hitters like Zylok (high damage per shot, slow rate of fire and low magazine) though I will admit that throwing Brakk into the mix was a bit far without including Twin Roga and Akbroncos.

Because..... it would make the Ludaplex better with more reasons to play it? (I actually like arcade styled skins)

Conclave (Including Lunaro) has S#&$ton of skins, some of which are only shinier if you play conclave regularly and it has less than 1% of games population play it at all, it's common knowledge that conclave has problems with it's less than small population. Knowing how playerbase of warframe is big, that people like PvP and amount skins you can get one would think Conclave would be swarmed with people and yet it isn't.

All 3 mini games are just small little things that shouldn't have an entire syndicate built around them (as we already have syndicates built just like that, and more are coming).

Also people don't come to Warframe to play Flappy birds, any old school sidescrolling shooter and bootleg tekken 1. Locking content behind those minigames would be pretty meaningless.

  6. Please no more new syndicates... We have like what?
    6 main ones
2 extra - Symaris and Conclave
    2 PoE related ones

And all of them are hardly fleshed out and still have a lot of place holders...

And we're getting at least 2 more with Fortuna in the future... why do you want more?

It was 3 in the morning when I posted this thread and it's 5 in the morning now and I have trouble sleeping (unrelated to warframe unfortunately) and was pretty hyped when saw people posting that this is mini sybaris just to be disappointed to say the least...

Have you tested the weapon? Cause even with Lethal torrent (staple obligatory mod for all sidearms) and Gunslinger the fire rate still feels just horrendous and I played around a lot with burst weapons, additionally reloading every 4 slow bursts is more than annoying. True, crit mods are pretty crap on sidearms outside of rivens anyway but that doesn't explain why it has abysmal (I know, I'm repeating myself) fire rate coupled with small mag size when it's big brothers biggest issue was the small clip size for a burst weapon...

Remember when the zenith was horrible upon release? But then they buffed it. Maybe give some better feedback instead of ranting like a 9 year old.

Excuse me but this feedback is beyond a 9 year old, those don't rant but are more likely to cry. My rant is at the very least on the level of 16 year old (sadly am almost double that, damn time passing too fast).

    Bad sarcasm aside.

DE should be aware of stats of other weapons when releasing new ones and whoever putted stats on this weapon should have been aware of what kind of weapon is (and was) Sybaris but if you compare this weapon to sidearms of 'similar' function it's simply mind blowing how bad this weapon is. Just because they buffed Zenith later just shows that they simply don't learn over the years simple fundamental thing - instead of semi randomly slapping together stats - test it, mod it test it again and compare to other weapons.

"Recently" normal weapons are more than likely to under perform no matter their mr requirements (aka be mr fodder) as opposed to primes which have surprisingly always good stats compared to their normal variant (but popularity being another beast)

But what am I talking about, just 3 days ago this weapon didn't even exist from what I know from people in the know...

  9. 15 minutes ago, peterc3 said:

So a weapon handed to you without needing to invest anything into it, available to brand new players, should be compared to Primes?

This weapon is not really all that available to brand new players - I can hardly see newcomers defeating G3 on their own, doing Symaris scans and having enough resources to build the "relay beams"**.

This weapon is not just given out for doing nothing.

**Indirectly this gun costs 25 thousand salvage, 10 morphics and 75 Trembera. While last 2 aren't hard to drop, getting 25 thousand salvage is not a snap of a finger to a lot of players.

EDIT:Let's not forget we're talking about a gun that is a plain example of a reused asset - Slightly modified and scaled Sybaris model and firing animation, forgot if it was mareloks or some other guns...

  10. Lex Prime has 150 base damage
    Zylok has 140 base damage

So yes I will compare it to not only non-prime weapons but primes as well.
If we only received BP at would mean the gun would be actually good I'd happily throw Nitain and farm the damn Argon Crystals, hell throw forma to build it like big daddy Sybaris.

We received fairly high amount of free guns from events but in all cases they were upgrades to existing ones and all of them were buffed on weapon pass DE finally did.

This is like I already said: THE WORST sidearm we got in literal years.

  11. Zylak is THE WORST sidearm we received in literal YEARS.

Slow fire rate on BURST weapon? Really?
8 bloody bullets in a mag of burst weapon?!? Great, every 4 shots I reload.
And what the hell is wrong with crit being abysmal in favor of status?

If this was supposed to be Sybaris mini version then lemme tell you one thing:

It takes ALL the flaws of old vanilla Sybaris AND takes some bonus ones.

The only reedeming feature of this gun is fairly high base damage but if anyone would want high damage per shot sidearm they would use... oh I don't know:
    Marelok and it's syndicate sister
    Lex or it's Prime
    Arca Scisco
    Knell
    Brakk
    Euphona Prime
    Pyrana or it's Prime
    Pandero
    Staticor

And lastly: Magnus which is superior in almost all aspects! A very old sidearm!

Please the love of god rebalance the gun:

Lower base damage by idk 10-20% in favor of fire rate and clip size - increase fire rate from 1.5 to 3 and mag size from 8 to 14 at least
Increase crit to at least 15%

Make this gun as at least good somewhat ok/good hybrid weapon that will be fun to use instead of this abysmal fodder...

EDIT: Do not bloody count rivens into guns balance or how good it is for crying out loud...

  12. I'd like to just say that I like the rework for the most part. Spores while not spreading debuff (I suppose that used to be intent before it was abused for Viral damage) removing armor is also nice, Toxic Lash is finally usable on all weapons instead of just being a melee buff (limiting playstyle a bit) and Miasma is... well Miasma.

Parts that I don't like however are:
-constant changes and tweaks to Spore - please decide with what version (how it spreads) to go with while not balancing it around a single gamemode, if Spore is too powerful in ESO just tweak Simiaris be a bigger jerk when it comes to power usage.
-molt despite it's buff is still completely an unreliable decoy ability, often enemies will still shoot at you when next to molt while you're 15 meters (and going) away.

    To compare:
Lokis Decoy will draw fire of enemies almost 100% in a big radius and he can easily depend on his invisibility to keep him and allies safe (however long the decoy will last)
Saryns Molt either will or will not draw fire (hence the ironskin treatment is not really noticeable) while she has to depend on Armor, flimsy shields and mobility. Allies that are targeted will still be targeted as far as I know.

So ignoring spores, please make Molt draw fire more consistently.

  13. How to quick melee on Ivara:
    Tap 4
    Tap E
    Tap 4 again
And there, no need for DE to go out of their way to add more code that may screw something up.

If it's too slow consider installing Natural Talent or Speed Drift...

At the end of the day its a game, its 4 fun`s sake, it`s my opinion and its a choice. If all these things happen you don`t have to have anything to do with it. Besides I'm sure I said firstly "If you`re not interested in the operators the skip this post" -_-

Sure it's a game but it would be nice to have fun with some new quests/features/game modes that will actually be played not ones forced down our throats (PoE and everything related to it) since it's not a choice. If I want to continue to play warframe and all new content that comes out is operator related it means that not only all the previous content I grineded/bought before that is basically worthless but also I'm stuck with content I didn't start playing warframe for (and if I don't play it, stuck without any new content). Until operators get more customization be it Arcanes, Amps (with more tweaks to Focus to make running with amp less gimmicy/trollish than it currently is outside of eidolons) or even some kind of personality to them, making any new gamemode specially for one underused feature is just a waste of DE's resources.

It's not something I can ignore either, forums are visited by small % of playerbase while overwhelming part of it just plays the game and is silent. And as with current politics - majority doesn't count but who's the loudest...

One would think that I should move on but can't really, I'm invested (pretty much a goal of a mmo) with both money and time in the game and it's world, I don't want to leave unless I'm forced.

    ·       Operators get their own game mode e.g racing game in conclave or game mode where they can possess creatures and objects like the worm in TWW

    ·       Make the operators able to use melee weapons with their own stances.

    ·       Operators having new ethnic hairstyles like zari brench braid, baby buns, Dreadlocks and Cornrows.

    ·       Warframes can move on the own independent from the operators (makes sense because of the second dream quest)

    ·       More cosmetic and suits for the operators.

    ·       Config A,B,C for suit colour options.

If there is anything else you would like to see DE do for the operators write it here.

    1. Another mode nobody will play? Archwing, Lunaro and Conclave itself says hi.
    2. But why? Operators have barely any survivability as is and you want DE to put manpower into something people barely use in the first place?...
    3. Again... but why? All current hairstyles are horrible for both the crap tech DE is using AND because most of them is exactly what you want - hipster cuts and dreads. Wat we need are some normal hairstyles which we know are coming...
    4. No it doesn't because it was not yet explained WHY it moved on it's own. Also we have something called Specters, you might want to look it up.

Last two point are not requests but just something anyone could tell is coming, thing is that Operator mode is not used as much outside of fashion and memedolon hunts so they're not coming anytime soon (probably why we don't have new hairstyles despite DE showing us the new tech what seems to be ages ago)

  16. RIP Raids, all hail Plains of Void Sponges!

3 hours of survival (or however long you want brainlessly and without any decent reward to run it) is as much challenge as taking appropriate loadout and just using it.

Eidolons? 1 enemy with 3 variants (and colour pallete swaps) that not only are bigger gear check than Raids (I wish good luck to people with low mastery/not even close to endgame loadouts with doing memedolons knowing how toxic recruit chat can be) but also more braindead to do. Pew pew with you operator then them poke one weak point, rinse and repeat...

And is it only me who thinks that Eidolon fights are $&*&*#(%&ly pushing Operator content without which the rest of the game would be pretty much fine while also ignoring a huge chunk of it? We have so many weapons, we have archwings which are bloody useless (seriously, with killing JV Trial there is absolutely no reason to use them other than mastery and mobility on PoE - that is if you want to be constantly be shot down for no other reason than a missile hit you... why aren't grineer using that tech against us in space? Why isn't corpus copying grineer tech to do the same?...) and of course something that by LORE was developed to fight against Sentients - Warframes.

What's the effect? Weapons only magicly work on weak points (cause shields are magical or something, though I thought that kind shenanigans were Tenno dominion) and nothing else, Archwings could be best described as flies circling the drain and powers which do jack nothing. But hey

OMG A BIG BOSS THAT CAN BE GRINDED FOR NO REASON NOW DROPS ARCANES WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    ...

    ....

    .....

    Yay.

I mean Bounty 5 is definitely beyond new players' capability (actually I find it easier to solo most Sortie 3 than solo Bounty 5) and Sortie at least requires completing TWW & a lv30 frame...

As a vet pretty much this.

  18. Seeing how much grind PoE has introduced (Focus and standing) having any element of the game less grindy would be nice.

Speaking of wisps - if that stuff Wisps was affected as well it would be glorious.

The point is to make booster more valuable across the board instead of just being a nice thing to have while farming Kuva in their respective missions (which are tedious after a while) because as it stands this booster is only valuable to a newcomer or farming kuva. Hell, why not make all Resource rewards that are not drops affected as well?

Kuva rewards in Sortie/Bounty (both mission modes I remind are TIME gated so they can NOT be farmed) are barely worth the effort put into them seeing that the amounts given can be easily gained the from a couple of kuva missions on starchart with much less effort(/difficulty) and quite possibly time.

I know it is better than having a few common mods worth of endo, a common/uncommon mod or a 5k credit cache but it doesn't mean we shouldn't want a bit more for our time investment (and plat itself since this is about booster itself).

  19. So I'm just gonna keep this brief:

Lots of people get rivens for weapons they are completely uninterested (Glaxion and Afuris rivens in my case) or for weapons that are simply bad.

We also have mod transmutation if someone has too many mods he'd want to roll into something potentially new.

Do I have to say more? (title I suppose)
