  1. Y'know,I was about to make a thread asking for help... Then you popped along with this thread. Alright,my request is as such.

    Dread Pirate Lord Hydroid

    -Warframe: Vanilla Hydrod,default skin.

    -Helmet: Triton.

-Syandana: I own the Repala,Asa,Harkonar,Imperator,Yomo,Rakta, and Uru syandanas. I have a preference for the Repala (Spaulder tips should be golden, electrum,or burnished brazen brass in appearance,if chosen),but if you feel any of my other syandanas are better suited to the Dread Pirate Lord, then power to you.

-Armour: Your choice, feel free to mix and match. I own the Nidina,Daedalus,Edo,Eos,and Harkonar armour sets.

-Colours: I own... Pretty much all of the colour palettes, besides the Valentine's palette, and the Baro palettes. The full list is as such; Classic,Classic Saturated,Corpus,Dabreak,Dojo,Easter,Eximus,Fire,Gamma,Grineer,Ice,Infested,Lotus,Orokin,Red White & Blue (Where's my Canada Day colour palette!?),Shamrock,Smoke,Storm,Tenno, and finally,Twilight.

I would like it if you avoided a primarily black-and-red colour scheme; I hate that colour combination. I do eventually plan on equipping him with the Zarr,Twin Rogga, and Nami Solo for maximum pirate festoonery.

Oh,and love it if you included which swatches from which palettes you included, using a coordinate system. 0,0 would be the top-left corner, with the numbers increasing as you go down and right. So,for example,a colour coordinate would be Lotus 3,4.

3 shots per second is fast for a status weapon? You must be either really inexperienced or just trolling. Maybe both. Enjoy your mastery fodder lol.

Considering how many enemies it can hit with a single shot? It's hilariously fast. Further, since it deals obscene damage, even a single Corrosive proc can mean the difference; Only the Lanka can claim this feat,as well. Enjoy your idiocy.

Lmao everyone except a total noob in this game knows that status weapons need a high rate of fire to be able to stack those procs quickly. Ogris can't even be a good status weapon and it has nothing else going for it. I would rather use Tonkor.

    Again,you fail to read.

It charges, and thus fires, every third of a second. That's pretty fast. And,it can deliver its procs to a huge mob all at once. Considering the fact that you very,VERY rarely fight individual enemies in Warframe...

Charge time, travel time, low rate of fire, low crit, self damage, enough said.

    Do you even read?

    1) It charges in one third of a second. This is faster than most bows, and offers a higher rate of fire than some semiautomatic rifles.

    2) The rockets actually fly very quickly.

    3) It fires as quickly as you can charge it... Which is pretty damn fast,as previously established.

    4) Level 50+,you want Status, because it doesn't matter how much damage your shot does if enemy armour laughs 80%+ of it off.

    5) If you call a weapon bad because you blow yourself up with it,then you might as well blame the band saw when you cut your fingers off with it; It's your own fool fault, not the weapon's.

  5. I took my incomplete build Ogris into the final mission of today's Sortie, and it hacked it. I lack Heavy Calibre,Rime Rounds, and I'm MR11,so I can't use my Riven. I threw on Cryo Rounds, instead, and shuffled around the mods for Magnetic and Gas. Their enhanced shields meant NOTHING to me. It charges in one third of a second, which is a damn sight better than most bows. You can dump a full cylinder of rockets in a hurry, and if the enemy isn't dead,it's knocked over, harmless while you reload to do it all over again, crippled by the other procs. And you can apply these procs to entire mobs of enemies at once.

And to everyone saying it's slow; It has a charge time of one third of a second. This is faster than some semiautomatic guns.

  6. The Ogris can do something precious few other weapons can; Strip the armour from a very large number of enemies with a single shot. While inflicting serious damage. It charges fast, and thus fires fast, and the rockets fly fast. You can dump an entire cylinder pretty fast, and all five will proc either Blast or Corrosive, either one very useful to you against powerful armoured enemies; One makes them easier to kill. The other keeps them from doing literally anything for five seconds.

Pack a Carrier with Ammo Pack, and ammo will never be a concern.

Your argument about the "One rocket" being insufficient is a poor one. One shot can cause a Corrosive proc on literally dozens of enemies.

Because anything with armor will look at your puny rocket launcher, laugh in your face and proceed to molest you and everything you ever cared about.

Unless you build it for Corrosive,as anybody who plans on fighting armoured enemies will do. Check my build; Corrosive + Blast with 100% proc chance. Go ahead; Flip that coin. It'll either strip armour,or knock the enemy down.

  8. The Ogris. The game's first rocket launcher, and I think the only true rocket launcher that's in the game, right now. I've seen lots of people calling it MR fodder. And I can't understand why. Let me break it down.

-It has obscene base damage, meaning damage mods are better to it than most other weapons.

-It innately has Blast damage. This means it innately has a combo element. This makes it very flexible, thanks to the next point.

-It has 35% Status Chance. Throwing on all four Elemental Status mods pushes its Status Chance up to 100%,as well as giving it an obscene damage steroid. You can do anything you want with the Ogris as a result.

So,with that in mind,I have to ask the question. Why do people think it's MR fodder? It has all the makings of an endless mission terror. My Build for the Ogris highlights everything I've pointed out. Be sure to set it to "Charged" and turn off crits. Sure, you can kill yourself with it,but that isn't the fault of the weapon,it's the fault of the user; It's like cutting off your finger, and blaming the band saw.

  9. If you know the enemy's there beforehand, and you have the punch through to hit them, why not take a few shots at them, before they can even think of retaliating against you? There's a few ways to accomplish this. It also lets you slam through ballistic shields and thin cover. Against advancing enemies,it lets you overpenetrate, letting one bullet harm (or kill) multiple enemies, functionally multiplying your damage output against crowds.

Dunno about you,but all of that gets all of my yes. Plenty handy in any situation you find yourself using your weapons.

  10. Let me get this straight. You want a weapon, whose primary damage enjoys damage buffs against all of the game's most common endgame enemies, has excellent reach for a one-handed weapon, and has excellent crit stats,on top of very tasty base damage and a respectable attack speed,to get buffed? The thing's a MONSTER! So what if all of its strikes are focused on a single target? It's a rapier. A duellist's weapon. Mano a mano. I am not left handed. That sort of stuff.

    Let's have a sword talk,here.

One handed weapons CANNOT cleave through multiple targets. They're too light, and too short. If you want to cleave, pick up a zweihander (Galatine),or a greataxe (Scindo Prime). A rapier's design is light. VERY light. Less-than-a-kilogram sort of light. The blades were, according to my research on the topic, rarely sharpened, merely pointed. Although, said points were vicious, and can be creatively used to cut the opponent, sometimes even fatally. However,a rapier lacks the mass and strength to be able to cut as you want it to. It is a weapon designed to eliminate a single opponent in a duel. To try and cut deeply will result in the weapon breaking,or your blade simply bouncing off the enemy's side.

You see,if the weapon were to be given any positive changes, they would likely be to either swing speed,or reach, because full-body lunges can EASILY cross three to five meters.

Mechanically, the Destreza is excellent. What you want is to turn it into a Dakra Prime clone.

  11. Alright, recording on... So,Cephalon Cordylon (I dearly hope I'm not butchering your name...) I have a couple questions. Feel free to answer one, both,or none. I'm sure answers will come... Eventually.

So! First off, after perusing ancient historical archives wherever I could, most notably Derelicts, the Void, and, most recently,Sol's most famous secondary satellite,I've encountered records of a festival day, celebrated by a significant fraction of Ancient Earth's peoples, that fell on the first day of the seventh month. Most Tenno I've mentioned this to presume I'm mistaken for the already well-known festive day that occurs three days later. Do you have any theories as to why this festival more-or-less fell out of the annals of history? My research unveiled that it involved technicolour pyrotechnic displays above densely populated regions, and certain ritual consumptions, the nature of which I cannot even begin to fathom.

Second, more related to more present concerns. The Corpus are getting more and more dangerous. While the Grineer just pile on more armour and firepower, the Corpus have developed technologies specifically tailored to neutralizing us,as well as incredibly powerful directed energy weapons, and even magnetic weapons. This question relates to the later. This one's been making me go cross-eyed every time I try to think about it; Why in the Lotus' name do railguns like the Lanka and Velocitus have a subsonic muzzle velocity!? Ancient records indicate that many such weapons in the past had hypersonic velocities, sometimes even approaching relativistic speeds! Some of them impacted with the force of a small-scale nuclear weapon, though these ones are often appended with the statement, "Sir Isaac Newton is the deadliest <DATA CORRUPTED> in space".

(Yes,the first is me snarking at DE for not celebrating Canada Day,despite them being Canadian themselves, and the second is just me going "DE,WAI!?" about their questionable railgun design choices.)

  12. Personally? I've found the Synapse to be a steaming pile of manure. I have a personal rule: If I don't like how it performs,I don't potato it. The Synapse was total garbage all the way through. You burn too much ammo to kill a target, and, sure,it can Double Crit. For a hilariously low value. I didn't potato the thing because it was just bad. If it needed that potato,and/or some Forma to make good, then the weapon's junk.

  13. So,I've been trying to get High Noon for FOREVER,now. I know what to kill for it. I know where to go to encounter the Brood Mothers. The thing is,I don't want to have to babysit something,or fight the clock as well as all of the Infested. I also want to leave the mission on MY terms (IE: Bored or mod get),rather than the game's (IE: Objective complete). This effectively limits me to exclusively Hive missions.

So,after a huge number of Hive mission runs, and, after spending in excess of a half hour in every one,I noticed a trend of only encountering,at maximum, three Brood Mothers per mission. Which is incredibly infuriating, since High Noon is a rare mod. Rare mods, dropped by rare enemies, only encounterable in one of two places on the map. You can see why this has me annoyed, yes? So,do any of you have a good location that sees a bunch of Brood Mothers per mission, that IS NOT Excavation,Defense,Mobile Defense,or Survival?

  14. A Vault Run is a practice of players attempting to open an Orokin Vault on the Orokin Derelicts. They can only be opened with special keys, called Dragon Keys, that significantly reduce your stats when equipped in your Gear menu. These Vaults are the sole source of Corrupted mods, which offer significant bonuses at a disadvantage, for reduced point cost. The key needed to open any given Vault is randomized from a list of four, meaning a full party, each player with a different key,is required to be guaranteed to open the Vault.
