  1. This thread should be locked. Its just dumb. From what I've been reading its people trying to say the OP is wrong and the OP giving weak stances on why he thinks nightwave should be removed.  It's like an endless loop of "I'M RIGHT YOU'RE WRONG. NUH UH!"

  2. Here's my opinion on the issue:

Nightwave is fine but some of the elite weeklies are just.... obnoxious... namely the Hydrolyst one. Unless you got some buddies to make a dedicated team, doing it is a pain in the butt. (unless you get really lucky with pubs or can solo... which rarely happens.)

And at least DE's battle pass is free. with many of the games, all the good battlepass stuff is locked behind a paywall. meanwhile the free versions are bloated with nothing but sprays, avatars, etc.

  3. this isn't about being able to speak freely and say whatever you want in chat @Rawbeard. This is about kickbot having no logic behind its kicks and kicking people that are following the rules just because they happened to say something that kickbot deemed "offensive" even though it wasn't meant to be.

  4. Kickbot is very inconsistent with kicks too. Like someone can say a word and kickbot will ignore it. Then if someone else says that word, they get kicked. I don't get the logic behind it. I honestly don't think there is any logic behind it. Probably why kickbot is so dumb

edit: That's still no excuse for false positives @ArtekkorThey could still improve the filter more.

  5. I am getting so tired of kickbot banning/suspending people from chat for saying something in a way that triggers it..  Today I was talking about Gay people in a discussion (nothing negative about them) anyway I said "anyone that's gay..." as referring to a person or group of people. (not negatively mind you as I was having a conversation over something that happened recently that involved said group)  Anyway kickbot Suspended me for it because the AI is still stupid and looks for phrases rather than context of said phrases.  It thought I was using the phrase inappropriately. its auto reply pulls the same crap. Like you'll bring up a question about a resource and kickbot automatically deletes it assuming you are asking where to find a resource (when in reality you're not) and gives an auto reply all because it didn't like your word ordering.  Honestly we're getting really sick of Kickbot kicking people for false positives. Its like running through a mindfield with this stupid bot. You never know what will trigger it, disrupting your conversations.

So either get rid of kickbot and hire some humans to moderate chat or fix the piece of crap. Players are honestly tired of these false positives. Sure we can work around them by rewording stuff but techncially, that's like circumventing kickbot which is technically against the rules as well. Sure I know some people are gonna argue with me about it and honestly I came prepared for it.

  6. CoSh8xy.jpgokay for the first bug for some reason colors show up in the wrong shade on certain kubrow skins and accessories. This is a huge problem for customization IMO. This is supposed to be Gallium Grey on my kubrow which should be much closer to the color of my excalibur prime. (and normally on other kubrow skins, it is) I could choose a different blue but there's nothing else close to gallium grey to match my Excalibur Prime's color scheme's blue.

    siq20cM.jpg

Okay for this next issue it's also related to the Gallium Grey color scheme. For some reason the color shows up as blank on the UI here even though I have clearly chosen it. I've tested it with other kubrow colors and they all work fine. Just seems to be gallium grey having the issue.

Umbra and prime should definately be more unique and different. A lot of people here say "Grrr youre prime was the best for 5 years, youre just salty because we have a better one now grrr stupid founders". This is not about excalibur prime, its about umbra and prime in general. They are way too similar, and one is clearly better than the other one (even though not alot, but that will change when tau releases in 3 years or something). If umbras for other frames get released, the primes to them would be completely redundant.

I dont have any specific ideas right now, but they should change umbras abilities a bit. More than just changing the animation (which wasnt actually necessary) and slapping that anti sentient bonus on top; they should have changed the mechanics of the ability by a little. Also, they should have changed more than radial blind and exalted blades visuals, which btw dont fit at all. Its very noticable how half a*sed umbra was, DE doesnt like umbra, they just did it to please the community and be done with it to be abke to move on to things they actually care about.

This I can get behind. I'd take my concerns to a private message with one of the devs but they never clean out their inboxes anymore... =( That's part of the reason I made this thread.

Also, you people are all getting the wrong idea. This isn't about making prime better than Umbra. this isn't about making Umbra better than Prime. this is about balancing the two out to give them something more to separate them from eachother so that they're more unique from one another. As it currently stands, Umbra is slightly better yes and yes you can build a warframe to use the Umbral mods (it's very limited though). They do have the same stats, but Umbra has the edge due to the extra features he gets.

The idea behind this thread is to make prime and Umbra support different play styles and have equal grounds elsewhere. Yes they kinda do that now but as I said above, Umbra can do everything excal prime can and more. Shouldn't Umbra be more "heavy but powerful" focused though rather than being balanced like excal/prime?

Founders still have something no one else can have, Excalibur Prime was not coveted because it was strictly better than Excalibur but because it was, is, and will forever be a trophy for those who supported this game, which is now 3rd on the list of highest rated mmorpgs behind FFX!V and GW2 on mmorpg.com, in the the earlier stages of its life. It gives anyone who owns Excalibur Prime an undeniable status of, "I was here first, I believed in Warframe when no one else did and I was able to put my money where my mouth was." I think if you really desire Excalibur Prime to be "on the same level as" Umbra you're missing the point of what Excalibur Prime is, and what it means for Warframe, the Developers, and the Community.

Well it's not so much about that as it is people acting like jerks to other people over it. I think that this should be fair to everyone. Be it people that like Umbra or prefer prime. Besides, it doesn't hurt to suggest new ideas does it? There's definitely a gap between the two and I think it could be resolved. Maybe I'm going about it wrong? I dunno, but I'm trying to keep it as civil as possible.

Though some of the replies I've been getting haven't made it as easy as I thought. (and no not yours, yours is great and I totally agree with you.)

Also @Rhixxi Thanks for your kind words. Appreciate that. And I did read over your comment, while yes prime does have the ability to use void death orbs, it's not a big deal. The issue is there's too many other ways to restore energy now. Namely energizing dash being a prominent means, as well as team energy restores.  so unfortunately, while it definitely is something prime has that Umbra doesn't, it's not as impactful as you'd expect on the issue. Most of the people that say prime is less useful now have said the void death orb thing  simply isn't enough. I can kinda see their point as i stated above.

And Prime has benefits that Umbra doesn't.

Prime has the death orb passive, Umbra does not. Umbra has the specter passive, Prime does not. Beyond that they're equal.

    ''severely outclasses Prime'' my ass.

I also find it golden how you complain that ''non-founders taunt us about Umbra'' when plenty of founders did the same thing with their Keyface Prime for years.

And I even brought that up in the same post and apologized on their behalf. Also, wow the people on this forum are so uncivilized. I figured I was going to have a civil conversation but I'm getting all sorts of jerky responses. Here I am trying to solve a problem and I have people creating more. It's toxic comments like this that really don't help anyone.

  10. Well it's more than that @haloamted It's become a subject of bullying to some founders as well. Like a lot of non-founders actually TAUNT founders because "hur dur excalibur prime isn't special anymore" stuff. It makes me sick but then again so does the whole "I'm a founder so that makes me better than you" mentality some of us have. On their behalf I apologize. (not all of us are like that.)

And who said I'm bitter about it? I even said in the first part of the post that I like Umbra.  I just don't think that they were properly balanced to offer one thing the other didn't. That prime orb thing may be cool and all but it's just energy. Umbra can get energy by other means and so can excalibur prime, so it's not like it's anything special.

Think of it this way: Prime is essentially the better version of regular excalibur. Umbra is a wild card that was thrown in to the mix and we're not really sure where he belongs but he does things prime and regular can't. Such as disabling sentients' protection with his Radial Scream.   He can use mods Prime can't easily use because there's no way to get the polarities (at least not yet), and there's his passive. Meanwhile, Prime has none of this. All he's got is energy restore from void orbs.

That's the main reason some founders are upset. It's because Prime literally doesn't have the same stuff to offer as Umbra does. I'm not saying make one superior over the other either. I just think that there should be some kind of equality like they should be good at different things.

  11. it's not the cosmetics that are the issue. If it were I wouldn't have said anything. It's that Umbra severely outclasses Prime in almost every way making him less usable for all those except those that just love him (like me). It's also causing arguments between founders and non-founders. Prime simply doesn't have as many "features" as Umbra does.

Sure they have the same stats but when Umbra has benefits prime doesn't, it's a moot point. You guys are missing the point of the topic....  The idea is simply to make them equals so that people stop arguing about which one is better. This has nothing to do with founder elitism or trying to make one better than the other. I honestly could care less about it. But when I see "oh such and such is better" people it makes me physically ill.

I should have known posting this topic would be a waste of time.... This is why I don't post on the forums very much.

  12. No doubt I'm going to get a lot of angry messages from players for this but hear me out first before you go around chewing me out or whatever. As a founder, I have access to Excalibur Prime and am an avid user of him actually. (check my most used stats). That being said, I love Umbra almost as much. Now there is one issue I can agree a little on here. Umbra is better than Prime. It's a sad reality yes, but it's the truth. I'm actually a HUGE fan of Excal in general. I even have three regular Excals because I like him so much. So really, as an Excalibur fan, I just want everyone to get along.

I personally think that things can be done to make them both true equals. Sure they share the same stats but Umbra has an edge for a number of reasons. For one thing, on top of the Sword master passive, he also functions as a specter of sorts while the player is in operator mode. To top this off, he has access to mod polarities that no other warframe can have. By comparison, Excalibur Prime could theoretically run these mods at max but it would require using a bunch of forma and probably investing him in steel charge (since it has the greatest mod space potential out of all Auras) That being said, unless you're going for a specific build you probably won't polarize a warframe more than once or twice.

I was lost in thought at work today about ways to solve this issue without making one better than the other overall. At this current point in time Umbra has the edge which I don't think DE intended for it to be better... it just sort of happened.  As I got to thinking about ways to balance this out I started thinking about changing both frames' passives so that they get some kind of edge with weapons other than what standard excalibur gets.

Now with prime I was thinking that his passive could be altered to take advantage from prime single handed blades like Skana prime and Dakra prime, giving him a 50% damage bonus to his sword master stat if the sword is prime.

Now for Umbra, I felt that him having single bladed swords didn't make as much sense since his signature weapon, the Skijati, is a Nikana. So then I got to thinking, what if he were more focused on heavier swords like Nikanas and large blades like Galatine and Gram.

So in this state, Umbra would be more focused on the slow but powerful swords while Prime focused on prime single handed swords. A 50% increase in damage on single handed prime swords would also benefit Dakra Prime and Skana prime very well as they need more damage even if they're at least somewhat viable now. They can handle most if not all normal content but high level enemies are out of the question for these blades. A 50% damage increase to both Dakra prime and skana prime would definitely be appreciated.

And I think some of you were wondering if this would apply to exalted blades for both Prime and Umbra. The answer is yes. Technically, Umbra's exalted blade more resembles a nikana or heavy blade than a Skana IMO so this could work quite well. He'd still get the sword master bonus from it since it could be considered a heavy weapon. Likewise, since Excalibur Prime's Exalted blade is technically a spectral Skana prime, it too would benefit from its sword master passive variation.

The idea behind this is to hopefully end the fighting between founders and normal players, but that may be wishful thinking. Even so, I hope this is at least looked at by DE as a possible solution to this issue.

  13. I guess I should bring up issues I have with the droprates of certain items and I'm tired of DE ignoring them so they can increase the chances of someone buying the item.

My primary concern is the Stalker's weapons. We all know that everything except Dread has a 5% chance of dropping for him. What I think should be done is give them all an equal chance of dropping from the stalker. Such as maybe 30%-50 % range. I know DE wants to turn a profit but it also makes obtaining these items for some REALLY hard. Especially since Stalker's stuff is only buyable in expensive bundles and not sold individually.

Next up, I also think Stalker, Zanuka Hunter, and Grustrag 3's items should be tradable because not everyone has enough luck with RNG. (I've been trying for almost two years to get the Detron Barrel and still nothing other than the main bp and reciever.) so making these parts tradable would be a great advantage.

Especially the G3 and Zanuka parts because the weapons aren't sold in the market so there's currently no alternative method of aquiring them.

  14. Okay so here's what I think DE should do. Make special slots seperate from other mods for Health and shield mods. There's only three of these mods currently (vigor, Vitality, and Redirection) I'm not including armor because at this point it really doesn't make a difference how much armor you have because of the broken damage output enemies above level 30 have.  As for Fast deflection, it's not really directly related to the amount of shields you have and just allows you to recharge them faster. Okay, but not many people use it that I know of.

    • The Vulklok will remain to be a high crit sniper weapon, but with reduced accuracy at a distance and while moving.
    • Vulklok's current rate of fire will be reduced.
    • Proc chance for electric procs will be increased.
    • Vulklok's current weapon damage decreased

Screw the damage. I liked it for its stunning utility alone it helped keep mobs from becoming annoying and killing me with OP DPS like they always do because of your piss poor enemy damage scaling DE. We can't afford to have nerfs in current meta game. Not with Level 30+ enemies being so strong they can literally kill you in one or two seconds. Vulklok eliminated this issue to an extent and made life a little bit easier for most of us. Without accuracy it's not even a sniper rifle.

Clearly DE you know nothing about sniper rifles. The idea of them is to take out distant targets so reducing accuracy has no real logic behind it other than you wanting to "balance" the game and make players have to suffer more than they already do. Why do you only focus on balancing players? Did it occur to you that maybe the enemies are the real problem?

And regarding this DE, I'd watch out because doing this too much is going to make the player base turn against you and stop supporting you. I'll even stop if I have to and I'd hate to do that. Even if I don't agree with everything you do already you still have my support for certain things. I can revoke that support though if you continue to behave the way you are.

  15. tdJZ6iV.jpg

After using Desecrate, the clouds linger for a very long time possibly forever. Normally this wouldn't be a problem on my low end computer but in places like ceres where the tilesets are poorly optimized for my crappy computer, it adds to an already significant problem.

Before you ask if it's lag related, actually it's not. I've had it happen on solo too. So presumably it's a visual effect that's not being properly terminated by the game. It's unnecessary clutter and needs to be fixed for performance reasons mainly. Well that, and it just looks weird.

  16. You used to get a blueprint from him everytime you killed him. Sometime in update 10 they changed it which IMO was a bad move. He's rarely encountered enough as it is that farming him is just tedious and tiresome. To top it off, DE keeps adding new attacks to him. I've asked and asked for DE to change it back to the way it was before update 10 but so far no luck convincing them. As usual they seem to think everyone likes monotony. Seriously, how is being monotonous fair to the player DE? I can understand you guys have a business to run and you want to keep players interested, but making the assassins a pain in the butt to farm is not the way to go about it. And I'm of course talking about making him drop nothing except heavy impact or something else.

Yes, it is hilarious he drops blind justice but people generally only give a crap about his weapons. Why is making him always drop his blueprints such a hard concept for DE to understand?

  17. Well this program is actually a really good idea. I know tons of people would love to help get newbies established. Trust me, starting warframe for the first time can be rough on new players. Especially in public sessions where other more experienced players don't assist them as much and try to force them to pull their own weight. While it's great if they can, I wouldn't expect them to know how to right on their first day or even week of play. Took me about two weeks to finally get into the groove and even then there was still stuff I didn't know about.

I like helping newbies get themselves established and even try to trade some useful mods to help them get started (if they're mastery rank 2 of course.) that being said, I don't think I'd have the patience to do what the guys that are part of this program do. As some may know I have a rather short temper sometimes. So those of you that have the patience to deal with newbies on a regular basis, kudos to you. ;)
