If considering that these few challenging acts are up for a whole week, I think it is enough time to do some research and prepare to give it a proper try, instead of just jumping in with random equipment and hope for the best like too many seem to do. If you don't like a challenge, then by all means just skip it. I mean, a Hydrolyst capture or a one hour Survival on Kuva without lifesupport modules kinda speak for themselves when it comes to difficulty or time investment.

Imo there should be challenges for all players, not just the noobs and casuals.

Well, sure, you have a point, and I also like challenges. But I also like to have the feeling that it was my/team's fault of why the mission failed. In this case the fault seemed be to ask for other player in recruiting channel. Although they were no trolls at all, high MR (25, 26, 16, ???), also no apparent shortcomings on their side, so I cannot blame them. So, if you need a well coordinated team with the right mix and gear to succeed with high chance, then I am with EmberStar, I do not have that opportunity at hand. IMHO I don't like this. If it is pure luck to find the right players then one hour such a demanding mission is not worth it. I think it should be quite easy to find other players to succeed in this game, not hand-picking players, which may take another hour.

There are a couple of factors that are important in Kuva Fortress Survival but the two main properties for a successful endless mission there is:

    1. Have a reliable kps for all squad members against scaling armor.
    2. All squad members MUST be in the same vicinity to aggro spawns nearby.

Especially on the second point ...

A Despoil Nekros fitted with Shield of Shadows, Health Conversion, Adaptation, 214% Power Strength, Arcane Pulse and either Arcane Energize or Equilibrium will scale better than a Nekros not running Despoil. This is considering that you can run Nekros as an independent player without the need for a energy battery (Trinity, Harrow) to keep you supplied with energy, energy orb drops may be sparse, and Eximus spawn rates are increased at around the 45-50 minute mark. ...

Many thanks, this is really a helpful reply. We had the feeling that staying together was the problem actually, and we tried, but as soon as someone is downed this is difficult, flame walls from eximus everywhere, you cannot even see where the downed player is lying, confusing way points, etc, etc.

But I agree our main problem was not staying close enough at the end.

Regarding my Nekros it is more or less the build you describe. It is based on Despoil as this makes so much sense. I do not use Adaption and only have 160% power, and no Arcane Pulse, but I have all the others. I didn't have any issues in constantly casting Shadows of the Dead and also survivability was not the problem. But maybe I will re-mod Nekros again like you suggested.

But to be honest, Arcane Pulse is out of reach for me, I just do not have the time. And this is the core issue with this event. Of course there are players being able to do all the missions. But the question is, for which tier of players this event is designed for? Is it for the top 1 or 5% of players? Do you need such Arcanes or Rivens worth some thousand platin on the market, etc? If so then fine, dear devs, just tell us that and I will not attend. I mean, if this would be a good idea is another question, but at least they should tell us.

  3. Well, a friend and me failed twice, both times at minute 58 (same seconds). We had one Nekors first, then two Nekros. It made a difference. Even with one Nekros we mostly were between 80 and 100%, sometimes dropped to 50%. With two Nekros we never fell below 80%, mostly around 95%.

Until we came close to the hour. It is all manageable until the last few minutes. Life support drops so fast, enemies are so massive that it was impossible to coordinate, people got grounded and then it goes down to hell so fast... Honestly, I do not know what we did wrong, or could do better. I am for sure not in the top liga of players, but above average. Failing twice so close just does not feel right. It almost seems the mission mechanics change in the last few minutes, life support decrease rate goes up, life support drops go down. Maybe this is just a miss-perception... Anyway, I like challenges, but IMHO this mission is not balanced.
