Anyone other than me think that DE rigged the drop rates somehow?

Been farming the acolyte for 10 + hours, 45 + runs, and not one argon scope.

Each time i do it, i get duplicates of laser sight, hydraulic crosshairs, and blood rush.

What gives?!  And before people say that im trolling or complaining, i switched frames, weapons and nothing gets it to drop.

As for buying it off market, not an option for me.

    ......what?

    Hardcore players

These are the players who consume any new content within the first 1-2 weeks of it being released, and are the first to complain about content droughts. I would say through no fault of their own, a lot of the content creators fall into this group, as they have to consume the content first so they can tell other people about it.

Right now these people seem to be the focus of DE's balancing effort, as the bar for entry on new systems has persistently climbed higher and higher. Focus was the first big example of this, when they amended the system and massively increased the amount of focus required, that seemed to be targeted at the Hardcore players who had already maxed out the old trees.

The problem was that the Hardcore players took this as a challenge, and found various ways to optimise their focus farming and cleared the system far quicker than DE wanted. The side effect of this is that the other two groups of players were left with a seemingly insurmountable grind wall to access the same level of functionality.

It seems like the game you actually want to play is gears of war. Go ahead and play the latest one, i heard that it is very good and quite challenging on the highest difficulty. But dont try to ruin wf copy it over to another game because it never works.

Your "endgame" dream wont be solved by numbers because just shifting around numbers wont make meaningful or enjoyable difficulty. You need mechanics for that.

Off topic (even though the topic is laughable) but Gears 5 is a decent campaign.

you need to read what you say, there are weapons that ragdolls enemies on slam attacks before this update what are you trying to justify. I already told you it was there originally in melee 2.0 and everyone and their grandma would use slam attacks then it got nerfed only for a couple weeks later you get it in a primed mod.

also air juggling isn't new when rhino stomp and Vauban's bastille lets you do that somewhat long ago if you knew anything about melee. its the same with ash's bladestorm nerf with the insta kill taken away only to return in covert lethality while bladestorm got weaker and required the player to now manually adjust the view to kill with the ability.

this update broke a lot of stuff in melee not just the flow of the game, you have to realise not everyone  likes to jump around like Kriss Kross or Cypress Hill.

You mean Kriss Kross or House Of Pain.  IJS

It's a big update that changed a lot of things.  😕  The best you can do is add your own constructive feedback to the official threads if you think it'll help, and avoid the forums until after the next Devstream.  At least.

    That's fair.

In the interest of fairness, I'll contribute my personal opinion.

I think the changes were absolutely necessary, if a bit heavy handed.  I've been saying it for a long time, and I'll say it again, we are too powerful.  Players want challenge in WF, and yet want to keep their godlike status at the same time.

Obviously that won't work.  DE is doing the right thing if their intentions are to present any concept of "endgame" in future updates, and naturally people are heated.  They want to have their cake and eat it too.

And I say, " too damn bad".  Less used weapons feel more useful as opposed to obsolete, and imo that's a good thing.
