  1. Would the option to reroll exclusively the % be a possible option. There are currently 276 different combinations of just 2 stats and if the same one can't appear twice. I'm certainly interest in a Tonkor with magazine capacity and multishot but if I get it and the percentages are weak as balls it's going to suck to reroll to try and get another good version of the same stats.

I can imagine the resource cost would be a bone of contention but maybe use some of the older resources, like Nitain and/or Orokin Cells and/or Neural Sensors?

As the title says, when I watched @Xenogelion 's playthrough I noticed, because he sucked, the queen said more lines. More info.

She basically says that she was rejected from our mind because there is already something else there taking up space.

"I see now how you cast me out. Simple really. There is no room for me in that wicked, swarming head of yours."

    Thoughts?

    W00 I suck!

  4. @Qynchou if you want to relinquish any form of control then having it cap at 2K is something I could agree to.

@InglriousB I think you're missing my point, getting Nitain took 5 mins to get 1, mutalist Alad V coordinates were a joke because they disappeared from the star chart in minutes until everyone farmed Mesa. The issue with Lens was worse because to get a greater lens it would take 4 seasons to get one. In order to get 3 grater lenses it would take a year. But a sortie takes anything from 30 minutes to an hour and a half to do to get a chance of getting an item. that's 6-18x longer than running a single Nitain mission and some people are restricted on how much time they have in an evening, I have an hour or two in the evening to play so I pretty much can only do a sortie and that's it. Dedicating that amount of time to a lens or an endo reward feels like a kick in the balls.

@Sikelh so it should get better over time but never cost more? I think that's fair but it would have to be quite slow.

@Scubet I personally don't understand the 15 Riven mod cap, I mean what's it even for? I think rerolling the stats is perfectly fine. @MDRLOz got a horrible one for the Death Cube Machine Rifle and it just makes you want to cringe just hearing about it, being able to reroll it to make the stats something worth while I feel is important and not just the numbers. I'm pretty sure I gave an example of a Tetra mod that was reduced recoil and faster reload... why would I ever choose that over a mod that does any form of damage?

  5. @polarity I'm not after something now, I'm after better gating. I don't want it now I want it smarter. Systems that are OK don't gain traction, look at Kubrows and Kavats, they're there. Look at Archwing, it's just there. Look at the Trials, they're just there. No traction from the community means development deadpan stops. The Riven Mods are so close to being something anyone can enjoy but as they're are now they're OK. If they were awful or amazing this topic would be a completely different kettle of fish and I'm bored of systems getting some attention and then get dropped like a sack of S#&$ because no one wants to see them succeed.

    @djternan agreed :thumbup::thumbup:

  6. Though that's true @Kethus, I don't think it's entirely fair to condemn the system just because there is a sizeable population in the player base that would rather harder/more engaging content and not something to progress. I know people that have played the likes of World of Warcraft, get to max level and then just put the game down. Hell I did exactly that when I was attempting to get THE flail from Diablo 3, I had my RNG drop weapon and then put the game down or changed character. For a different sizeable population in the player base, getting the best out of there stuff means a lot to them, that's why people make mod builds.

@InglriousB I see where you're coming from, but until I even get close to 15 mods without trading them then I'm not concerned by this. I feel this is like being concerned what will happen when our sun turns into a red giant, it's going to be a freaking long time before that happens. I'm also sorry to say that no the reward tables haven't cleared up, the lenses are still on there but this time you can get the same one more than once a season. I remember running for the Snipertron Vandal and it took a month to get 4 parts, I was going insane by that point.

  7. @Tsoe Honestly I'm super concerned that the drop chance is going to be tiny, but I'm going to be recording my drops in the OP.

@Odins_Sohn_MSTK Sorry I wondered if I did a S#&$e job of explaining it. So with method 1 it would cost:

    • 1st reroll: 1 challenge, 900 Kuva
    • 2nd reroll: 2 challenges, 900 Kuva
    • 3rd reroll: 3 challenges, 900 Kuva
    • 4th reroll: 4 challenges, 900 Kuva
    • 5th reroll: 5 challenges, 900 Kuva
    • 6th reroll: 1 challenge, 1000 Kuva
    • 7th reroll: 2 challenges, 1000 Kuva
    • 8th reroll: 3 challenges, 1000 Kuva
    • 9th reroll: 4 challenges, 1000 Kuva
    • 10th reroll: 5 challenges, 1000 Kuva
    • 11th reroll: 1 challenge, 1300 Kuva
    • 12th reroll: 2 challenges, 1300 Kuva
    • etc.

    Method 2 would be:

    • 1st reroll: 900 Kuva, 1 challenge
    • 2nd reroll: 1000 Kuva, 1 challenge
    • 3rd reroll: 1300 Kuva, 1 challenge
    • 4th reroll: 1800 Kuva, 1 challenge
    • 5th reroll: 2500 Kuva, 1 challenge
    • 6th reroll: 900 Kuva, 2 challenges
    • 7th reroll: 1000 Kuva, 2 challenges
    • 8th reroll: 1300 Kuva, 2 challenges
    • 9th reroll: 1800 Kuva, 2 challenges
    • 10th reroll: 2500 Kuva, 2 challenges
    • 11th reroll: 900 Kuva, 3 challenges
    • 12th reroll: 1000 Kuva, 3 challenges
    • etc.

    does that clarify?

  8. So after completing the War Within we all get a Riven Mod which is like "WTF is this thing!" After spending some time with the Mod I feel that it seriously falls short of being a success and this is down to it feeling like it was rushed out the door and considering DE needed to get the War Within in our hands I can appreciate the tough decision. There's two aspects I feel that would make Riven Mods the best they could ever be and one aspect that's just a quality of life.

Choice to stick with what you've got:
I received a Tetra Mod and I'm like "OK this could be a reason to try the weapon out." I did the annoying requirement to unlock it and I feel a bit underwhelmed. I reroll it and I get something significantly better but now I don't want to reroll again. When rerolling you're going in 100% blind and the cost requirement escalates rapidly. On the google sheets that the community are putting together for each reroll there's currently 9 different iterations of the Tetra mod and some seem flat out awful. The Tetra Zetitak has -96.2% Weapon Recoil and 44.8% Reload Speed, that doesn't sound appealing at all and if that's something like my 10th reroll which would cost me 9,000 Kuva I'd be completely gutted.

The fix is simple, copy the system from Diablo 3. In D3, when you use the Mystic's Enchanting Table you can reroll a single stat (I prefer rerolling all) but when you reroll you get an option to choose one of 3 many new stats and your old one. Being able to stick with what you've got is seriously important for a system like this especially when the escalation of the cost is so ludicrous! We don't need to have loads of different choices when it comes to rerolling but we at least need to be able to say "Nah, I'd rather keep what I've got."

    That escalated quickly:
OK I appreciate that each time you reroll it should cost more each time you do it, it's simply a mechanic that exists in nearly every system like this, however the predicted escalation is kinda nuts right now (image provided by @TGDM). These numbers are nuts and it'll become unrealistic really quickly if you're after that 1 Tetra mod out of 9. Personally I'd rather this be something you earn through effort as well as resource cost. I suggest that the cost is placated by challenge but still have a shallower increase in Kuva cost.

    My suggestion is either:

    1. every reroll requires an additional challenge to unlock it but every 5th increases the Kuva cost and resets the challenges needed to unlock back to 1.
    2. every reroll increases the Kuva cost until the 5th reroll, then it increases the number of challenges by 1 and resets the Kuva cost back to the first cost.
    Spoiler

    Method 1 would be:

    • 1st reroll: 1 challenge, 900 Kuva
    • 2nd reroll: 2 challenges, 900 Kuva
    • 3rd reroll: 3 challenges, 900 Kuva
    • 4th reroll: 4 challenges, 900 Kuva
    • 5th reroll: 5 challenges, 900 Kuva
    • 6th reroll: 1 challenge, 1000 Kuva
    • 7th reroll: 2 challenges, 1000 Kuva
    • 8th reroll: 3 challenges, 1000 Kuva
    • 9th reroll: 4 challenges, 1000 Kuva
    • 10th reroll: 5 challenges, 1000 Kuva
    • 11th reroll: 1 challenge, 1300 Kuva
    • 12th reroll: 2 challenges, 1300 Kuva
    • etc.

    Method 2 would be:

    • 1st reroll: 900 Kuva, 1 challenge
    • 2nd reroll: 1000 Kuva, 1 challenge
    • 3rd reroll: 1300 Kuva, 1 challenge
    • 4th reroll: 1800 Kuva, 1 challenge
    • 5th reroll: 2500 Kuva, 1 challenge
    • 6th reroll: 900 Kuva, 2 challenges
    • 7th reroll: 1000 Kuva, 2 challenges
    • 8th reroll: 1300 Kuva, 2 challenges
    • 9th reroll: 1800 Kuva, 2 challenges
    • 10th reroll: 2500 Kuva, 2 challenges
    • 11th reroll: 900 Kuva, 3 challenges
    • 12th reroll: 1000 Kuva, 3 challenges
    • etc.

    Informed Choice:
So this is the quality of life suggestion I was going to make, this isn't a deal or no deal situation because eventually it'll appear in the wiki (I'm sure). Actually I'm not sure if this is relevant but I'm going to pretend it is. If the numbers on each stat is also random it would be wonderful if we could see in game what the potential range is in terms of what that number could be. I've seen Multishot on two versions of my Tetra mod to be both 104.6% and 71.1%. If 104.6% is close to the top end then I'd be like "yeah I'm not going to reroll" but if it's somewhere in the middle and 71.1% is at the bottom I definitely want to reroll.

    One minor addition:
How I feel that they drop from the sorties: (my rewards)

Anyway those are my thoughts, I'd love to hear what you think!

  9. My concerns is that even though we we'll have a reason to do Endless Void Missions again we won't have a way to sustain our relic reserves. Obtaining the relic you want is currently extremely time consuming as it's in a shared drop table of at least 5 other relics and often you get 1 maybe 2 shots at that table in a 20 minutes/wave mission.

If we go to do a 20 minute endless void mission I'd want to be able to replace the relics I spend with comparative ease to the old system. Maybe change it so that when you buy a relic pack from a syndicate it is a relic pack of a specific Era and all the relics you get out of it are from that Era. Additionally rotate the packs daily so that each day they'll have a different pack in case people only have 2 syndicates. That way when you open a pack you have a much higher chance of getting the relic you want and you can dump all your syndicate rep on multiple attempts quickly.

  10. Bringing TennoGen stuff from the community into Warframe is amazing, but what does it take to get someone's idea into Warframe? I'm guessing it's not a simple drag and drop custom creations into the Warframe application itself. As an additional question what Warframes or Weapons would the dev team love to see modded by the community?

  11. Time to throw in the two sense and get this topic alive so the Remote Observer (and other machinima tools) can get some love. First point I want to bring up is no matter what is asked of DE it needs to be something that is worth their time. I asked them if they could make it so that the blue silhouettes disappeared when the HUD is off because I knew the technology already existed in the relays, and associating it to a UI (user interface) element that already exists hopefully meant minimalist effort. So first of all we have to be realistic in what we ask for.

Next we have to consider anything we want as a tool will be available to everyone and could be exploited to make the game trivial and undermine gameplay elements. So second we need to think of ways to compromise the game with whatever tool we ask for (and if so we can't ask it of DE). I'm sorry to say but a remote observer tool that we can fully control and fly around the levels could easily be used to cheese the game and find hidden secrets or caches. Making it so that there's a limited distance between the player and the observer starts to make it too complex, so on and so forth. Whatever we want needs to be simplistic to the extreme.

I want to ask for some simple solutions before we ask for ground breaking ones, something that should be little more than 10 minutes of DE's time on a thing here or there. Here are some requests:

    1. I'd like the ability to use the Remote Observer in dojos, lisets and relays. Pretty obvious why anyone would want this.
    2. I'd like a button, or second (Fixed) Remote Observer, that I allows me to set in place the observer and preventing it's camera angle from being changed. This would be for green screen purposes in locations where we can't use guns. To be able to position the camera and remove the player from the shot would be invaluable.
    3. Before using the simulacrum, I'd like to be able to select a single title which the simulacrum would spawn, this would be invaluable for set purposes. When recording FFS Episodes 1 and 2 we had huge issues recording on the Grineer Asteroid Defense tile. To make sure there were no interruptions we had to keep a single radial disarmed Grineer Trooper alive as his attack was slow enough that the core would stay alive and regen it's health between attacks. Being in control of the scene would make recording so much easier.
    4. Being able to invite players (preferably up to 8) into the simulacrum. Well in all honesty there's no point in being able to choose the room to record in unless you can have actors in there to join you. 4 is an obvious happy place but if I can get 8 players to act it makes complicated scenes a lot lot easier.
    5. All players visually equip the codex scanner and not just the host. It would be super useful if all players could be seen without any items equipped.
  12. Do you think Draco is a problem and needs to be changed?

I feel there's always going to be a loot cave, and the Boltor Prime being MR2 is too amazing for new players. There's no point in addressing easy ways to acquire affinity when new players loose interest from having the best weapons really early on.

  13. Do you think Stance mods should drop like other mods?

Yes and No: Having stuff drop from mobs allows for the grind where as putting them in Baro would mean you have to be around when he appears, putting them in syndicates means that you just have to farm the rep eventually. Having some RNG is good but having choice is better ^_^. All that being said I feel there are opportunities to put future stance mods in the game, like another Duel Swords or Pole Arm stances in places like the syndicates. You could put "Umbra Tranquil Cleave" (as an examble) in Baro.

  14. 1. Nitan Extract on the drop table from somewhere other than alerts.  Some of us work odd hours and being up at 4 am just to get one or possibly two a day before we have to shove off to work for the day would be nice.

    2. Volt premium skin, possibly something that looks kinda steampunkish.

    3. Some love for the other Youtubers other than Mogamu and his Youtube mafia of friends.  I know that i'm going to *@##$ed at about this, but seriously there are other people that could use a chance in the spotlight that get shoved off to the side because the big names haven't had their name up in lights in the last 15 min is kind of pathetic.

Who would you give a chance in the spotlight to? I'd be interested to know if we've either had them on TennoClock or if we could get them on.

  15. I still feel that even with the additional ruling for Greedy Pull that we're still going to have the problem of lazy players not participating in fights but this does remove the large problem of people spamming "LF GREEDY MAG" and causing a whole group to be lazy.
