  1. Glad to see all the new content for Deimos (that should have been there at launch, but that's another topic altogether), but the lvl40 5-forma sinks are seriously obnoxious, and even more so with these mechs that are nearly impossible to level (as an aside, the extra affinity range isn't going to cut it - talk about a bandaid on a broken bone). It was an interesting mechanic for the Paracesis, it became an annoying grind with the Kuva weapons, and I guess now it's DE's new income stream, trying to milk even more forma purchases from the market. Giving MR at 30 and then letting us forma them up to 40 if we want to would actually be player-friendly design.

Actually, speaking of player friendly design, why don't energy siphon, loot radar, or enemy radar auras work with the mechs? Why don't energy restores work with the mechs? Why doesn't zen dash work with the mechs?

The necramechs are one of the coolest things DE has made in this game in a long time, but they're also one of the least player-friendly things in this game. Well, maybe not... there's an awful lot of competition.

We were taking down the last Eidolon as night was coming to an end, and it just disappeared. You can watch a video of it happening in the link above. It disappeared right after getting the message from Konzu that the night was ending. It didn't walk back to the lake to despawn, just *poof* and gone. We lost out on 3 Brilliant Shards, and a bunch of arcanes.

  3. Hi Stoti84, love your builder, it's amazing!

I found one thing that doesn't work properly. For Mesa, her Mesa's Waltz augment is exilus compatable, but the builder won't let me slot it into the exilus slot.

  4. The entire point of ducats is to take prime parts and blueprints out of circulation. Once you build the weapon those parts are out of circulation. That is DE's goal. Baro and primed mods and primed cosmetics are just the carrot DE uses to get us to throw away our prime blueprints. There are millions of people playing this game, and allowing all of us to sell build prime weapons and frames for ducats would result in tens, hundreds of millions more ducats given out to players, which translates to significantly fewer prime parts/bps taken out of circulation, which leads to a not-insignificant mount of platinum that players don't need to buy.

As for not getting something out of prime weapons you build, you get mastery rank and the fun of playing with a new toy, and an empty item slot when you trash it for the next thing waiting in the foundry.

A built weapon or frame is worth nothing to DE's view of the economy.

Exactly this. For those who don't understand, here's a brief lesson on economics and inflation thanks to warframe and ducats.

There is effectively an unlimited number of every (currently not vaulted) prime part and blueprint due to the fact that the relics they drop from are continuously given to players, we're just waiting for them to be farmed from the relics. This is analogous to the government printing money.

Now, let's assume there are no ducats, no Baro, and no reason to dispose of prime parts/bps. As relics continue to be cracked, we get more and more of each part. This leads to inflation and the parts become worth less and less, the same way that if a government keeps continually printing money, it becomes worth less and less.

This is a problem for DE, because if primes become worth less, we have less reason to buy plat.

That's where ducats come in. Ducats are a way to burn prime parts and remove them from circulation, which stabilizes their price and prevents inflation. In the real world, the government can basically remove money from circulation to combat inflation. Less money in circulation, and the value of the dollar is stabilized.

What does this have to do with you wanting to sell fully built prime gear for ducats? If there's another source of ducats, that means fewer prime parts will be taken out of circulation, which will weaken the mechanism by which the game combats inflation, thereby lowering prices, meaning people need to buy less platinum from DE.

Hoping this not working is unintentional, sounds like a fun build!

Thanks! I really want to see what my Charger can do at it's max. I just love the idea of him running around wrecking level 100+ enemies. I've already farmed up all the mods (took me 2 weeks of doing caches on Earth for an hour a day to get Bite), now I just need a few hundred thousand endo to get that and the link mods up to max. *cries silently about the upcoming weeks spent in Vodyanoi*

At the least it takes the total, so you can cheat with "ribbens." Equally I believe pets prioritize closest when multiple are proc'd (can't remember), so Lenz may not a complete waste. There are crossbows too!

Yeah I'm hoping I can get my hands on a cheap Dread riven so I can roll it for high crit/status chance. I need those slash procs! As for Lenz, even if that's how that works the massive explosion just takes me too far out of the Hunter image/mindset I'm trying to evoke. And crossbows all have pretty terrible base crit chance, so if I am forced to go with something else it won't be those.

  7. I'm on a quest to make a full Hunter set pet build to push pets to their ultimate limit. While putting this together I came across what I hope is either a bug or an oversight with the interaction between Hunter Synergy and bows. Hunter Synergy gives your pet's attack a crit chance boost of 30% of the crit chance of your primary weapons.

I wanted to use Dread for this build because it has the highest base crit chance in the game at 50%, and also because it is thematically perfect for a Hunter set build. However, I discovered that when using bows with a charged and uncharged shot (Dread, Paris family, and Cernos family), Hunter Synergy uses the crit chance value of the uncharged shot, rather than the charged shot. With a base 25% crit chance on uncharged shots, Dread synergizes terribly with Hunter Synergy. The next best choice is Synapse at 39% crit chance, but while it's a pretty cool gun, it's thematically awful for a Hunter build. Lenz has a 50% base crit chance, but it's a terrible choice for this because of its wide AoE damage, which won't work with the Hunter Set because Hunter Command lets you target specific enemies with your pet. My plan was to build Dread to be low damage with as much crit chance and status chance/duration as possible to tag enemies one by one for my Helminth Charger, using a high survivability Oberon Prime to tank my way through high level content.

I'm hoping that this is just an oversight or a bug from when the Hunter set was made and not by design. Right now, these bows the only weapons in the game with which Hunter Synergy doesn't use the listed crit chance value of the weapon as displayed in the armory, and it pretty much ruins them for use with a full Hunter set build when a bow should be the perfect choice for the Hunter set.

  8. This is as intended. The two mallets must be separate when cast. If the roller ball picks up one of the mallets and then moves into the range of the stationary mallet, that is okay.

Also, the range of mallet is doubled when it is on an amp field. If you cast two separate mallet fields and then cast amp, the two mallets can then overlap.

  9. When using Hunter Synergy on a pet, the pet's critical chance when viewing its loadout doesn't change when you change primary weapons. You have to leave the arsenal after equipping a new weapon, and the re-enter the arsenal to see the updated crit chance in the pet's loadout.

And the related issue with Dread, Hunter Synergy bases the Hunter Synergy crit link calculation on Dread's 25% uncharged crit chance (Kubrow/Charger goes from 10% to 17.5% CC; 7.5 is 30% of 25) rather than it's charged 50% crit chance. I don't know if this is intentional or just an oversight, because in the loadout window and when looking through the inventory, Dread is listed as having a 50% crit chance (see below).

I think the Hunter Synergy calculation should be changed to use Dread's 50% crit chance when charged, because A) who uses Dread uncharged? And B) this would make Dread the ideal weapon for a full Hunter set Beastmaster pet build, which makes perfect sense from a thematic standpoint. This change wouldn't impact Dread's gameplay at all, and would only serve to make builds using the full Hunter set more viable for late game content.

Please help me help my pets slaughter through the end-game!

  10. I was trading a mod for plat, and upon completion I got a message that something to the effect of "Failed to receive updated offer from [username]" so I assumed the trade failed for whatever reason. Went into my inventory, still had the mod, didn't get the extra platinum. But the person I was trading with said they got the mod and their platinum was gone. I am not sure how to recreate this bug, I've never seen that message before when trades have failed.

I got this riven today. Is it worth building a maiming strike type build with a base 10%CC 2xCD?

It'll take a fair amount of forma, but I'm thinking Primed Pressure Point/Reach, Blood Rush, 2x Elemental, Organ Shatter, and Gladiator Rush for combo duration. That'll give me a 3.8x crit multiplier. Unfortunately there's no more room after that to further boost attack speed or crit multiplier. Is this viable?

  12. There was a Valana Ayatan Sculpture on a mission I just completed, but I couldn't pick it up. I hit the button, it made the noise it makes when picking them up, but it stayed there. I could keep hitting the button to pick it up and it kept making the noise, but it stayed on the floor in game. At the end of the mission, it wasn't in my item rewards.
