  1. Yeah a good idea. and maybe it works. But given how flakey (read: flat out wrong) the end mission summary screen is, I'll bet most people ignore it. Especially when you still see "killed 8 bosses" on missions with no bosses, opened 1000 loot crates - on defense tiles that have at most 20, "killed 20 demoloysts" next to the guy who camped in the ceiling and did nothing, "Rescued 1 hostage" on exterminate missions... the list is endless - "200 kills" but when you look at mission detail level, they had 2 kills total and 0% of dmg...
  2. I'll take that as a yes? Yeah it should work wonderfully: "LFG to carry my ass because DE blessed me this week with a trash loadout so I won't be contributing any damage, won't be cc'ing because DE has effectively removed CC from the game with overguard+extra eximus modifiers+invincible enemies, and I'll die a lot because the my frame choices are squishy, squishier, or squishiest." should be easy to find a group 🤣
  3. Uh, if they removed LoS, gave him 1000k meter range, but but capped his dps at 1 instead of 1billion, they gnashing of teeth would be even louder. Don't pretend its not about the damage for the majority of people.
  4. This seems counterintuitive to me: being able to kill/prime enemies through walls that you can't see, never have to position yourself to see, never have to coordinate how to best get them in a spot somehow requires MORE strategy than getting the max in a line of sight you can? fun is subjective so i'm not going to argue if your play is more or less fun to you, but strategically, LoS requires more brains, not less. And that is true not just of Dante but of any frame that requires LoS.
  5. Select fissure mission from navigation, it prompted me for and I selected a relic. Put me in a SP regular mission (not fissure) (I was not host). When i went to extract after 5min i typed in chat out of courtesy that was why I was leaving (selected fissure but didn't get it) host replied he had also requested a fissure mission. Don't know if there was any host migration before I got there or anything other out of ordinary.
  6. No what I said was its their game. Choosing a different mechanic than what some players want does not equate to incompetence. Some players like the change, some are indifferent, some dislike, and some dislike with a vitriolic passion. If you fall into the last category, I said you can vote with both your time and money.
  7. where you are permanently stuck with the visual and wah-wah-wah noise from the effect if you kill the alcolyte right when you get it applied. You are then stuck with it for the rest of the mission. Doesnt matter if host or not. Platform doesnt matter (xbox or pc) the alcolyte spawns once every five minutes. can you just check like 15 seconds after it dies and if anyone has the effect, remove it? or allow them to roll out of it even after the alcolyte has gone. Doesn't seem to be the actual bullet attraction, just the audio/visual you are cursed with.
  8. Who in ther right mind would waste time forma'ing/potato a weapon they ddidn't already? For a tiny bit of extra loot, let me -check loadout options: -waste a forma or 10 on the regular cestra because its the best of a crappy selection -spend the time to level up that cestra a time or 10 - this alone is a huge waste of time no one would do - its not like they're likely to see the cestra next week, or suddenly decide to use it on a regular basis. 1/500 chance or less they ever play that weapon again. But lets say they're a glutton for punishment who has a few hours to waste forma'ing and theory crafting a trash weapon. now comes the fun part: -hope your investment worked, because there is no way to actually test it with the modifiers against equivalent level enemies -get paired up with randoms because in the off chance you die to some one-hit-wonder, or run out of energy due to energy drain+no consumables, then run out of ammo becuase of 75% less drops, you are dead and cant revive -have the aforementioned rando's go down a few times, no biggie - run over and revive them but each time you have less time to do so -have aformentioned rando's get destroyed in the boss fight, and now you can't revive them because there isn't time before they're perma-dead. Oh, and you're locked in with the boss, so even if you wnated to go to an angel, you can't -have aformentioned rando's quit, because you can't kill the boss in 2min due to 99.999% damage reduction and your crap cestra's. -get host migrated, then get one shot as soon as you spawn back in because you now no longer have any of the buffs you spent the whole mission getting. -FAIL. return to arsenel, to what, change the build on your cestra's and try it all over again? yeah, no thanks. No one with half a brain and any respect for their own time and sanity would bother spending time to forma a trash weapon. So the argument it incentivizes ppl just doesn't hold up. Those that are ocd and claim to have "Steel Pathified" every weapon in existence, will have done so anyway, (or are just flat out lying) so they're not boosting plat sales. What horrifically little balance the game has (and it is little), is balanced around the new shiny meta, all the weapons and abilities that have power crept their way to the front to keep players interested - melee influence, a few select nuke frames, incarnon weapons. The rest - the 95% of the arsenal that is the legacy, was never brought up the par, and even with massive investment is unlikely to be a fun time. The concept of RNG loadouts in warframe, in simple terms, sucks. And thats the sugar coated version.
  9. I feel like weapon jamming (mesa, radial disarm, mag augment, etc..) should work - Those target the weapon, not the enemy, and are relatively short lived "stuns". blind i'm torn - if they give overguarded enemies sunglasses to go with the overguard effect, then they can be immune to that too, else they should get blinded IMHO. slow effects, tornadoes, freezing, immobilization etc... should all be blocked.
  10. actually, it wasn't. I know that's what the patch notes said, but it wasn't actually done until (or not fully) until dante or archimedia - don't recall exactly which.
  11. And you didn't understand what I wrote. but I fixed it for you. It appears your definition of "hearing" means they kowtow to player demands - but that's not how it works. if in fact they are deleting posts (not just merging threads), that to me is tremendously disingenuous on their part - but that still doesn't mean they aren't HEARING feedback - they are simply choosing to come up with their own "solution". a solution that some may like, some won't care, and others obviously think is the end of the world. If players don't like what DE does, they can vote with their wallet, vote with their time (play something else), or waste their day flaming forums. Doesn't really matter to me - but in general it feels like most players just rant and throw empty threats around like "i'm nver buying anything again", "i'm unstinalling the game" blah blah... and few follow through. Or those that do are such a minority as to be a rounding error. I know personally, I long ago stopped buying, for real money, items like plat packs, frames, etc when I got sufficiently annoyed with the constant shifting sands beneath my feet. But I also know that I still partially enable DE's practices by trading plat for items, and occasionally spending the plat I acquire via trading for stuff. If I really was voting with my wallet, I'd stop doing any transactions at all that involve plat - as the plat I acquire in trade has to come from somewhere, so i'm contributing to the demand for plat. The fact is, that every update something gets smacked - be it cc abilities, telos boltace, trinity 100x over, aoe weapons, etc all in the name of "balance" - which anyone even the smallest lump on an otherwise smooth brain knows is just double speak for "we want you to buy the new and shiny" because with each of those releases, something comes along and is even more powerful, more broken etc - like exodia contagion until they nerfed that, now melee influence- nerf still pending i'm sure. They just let it live long enough to reap the proceeds. But I assure you, they HEAR the complaints, they are just going a different path. Just like I'm sure they hear the complaints about all the archon shard changes, but did they give back all the fused shards? no. I don't doubt for a second they hear the requests for a refund - they're just not doing it.
  12. They are not "Selectively hearing feedback" - they heard the feedback, and decided to go a different direction. Their game, their decision. I'm not suggesting they choose the right - or wrong - path - but players are players, not owners, not devs etc. Anyone thinking if they cry loud and long enough that DE will full 180 on it and put it back the way it was is delusional. Even if it was 100% the right thing to (IMO it wouldn't be anyway but that's an OPINION), it would set a dangerous precedent. State your case for how you think it should be and move on.
  13. This. I had specifically not selected that modifier as I KNEW my garbage RNG loadout would greatly benefit from gear wheel use and didn't need to vosfor anyway - BUT on entering the mission, I was locked out anyway and while I didn't need vosfor, I should have gotten credit for it.
  14. yeah that would have been nice if it didn't bug out and use someone else's modifiers (the hosts?)... I specifically did NOT chose the "no gear" modifier as I don't need vosfor anyway ... but was unable to use gear anyway because I suspect the Host had selected that. So had the modifier but didn't get credit for it. Thanks DE.
  15. The amphor mechanic was the least annoying imho: If it matches what you need, throw it at the mixer. if it doesn't, just pick it up and throw it at a crowd. This has the benefit of cleaning up a little of the UI overload and kills a bunch of enemies. Once mixer is full of that element, throw those immediately as well. The # of invincible enemies was annoying however - between proximity to mixer, overguard protection etc I didn't even bother trying to sort it out.. .just spam weapon (generally melee because RNG provided guns were crap), and randomly throw amphors around. The boss fight was a stupid slog - melee was the only option, again because of crap weapon selection, so it was just kiting around for 20 minutes spamming melee with complete screen overload so you couldn't even see where the boss was. worse than the OG 60 eye fight by a good margin. I could see how it wouldn't be as bad if I had been blessed with a gun that did more the 3 damage (and wasn't ammo depleted due to 75 % reduction in ammo drops + no gear items for ammo restores), but alas was not the case this week for me. YMMV
  16. The game is a farming game. Nothing more. So paying makes no sense (or cents?): Paying money to skip the grind is paying money to skip the farm - is paying money to not play the game that you are spending money on - why are you spending money to not play? If you don't like playing the game, why aren't you doing something else lol... like replying to useless threads about "winning" in a game that has no concept of victory. pay-to-WIN what exactly? Lol
  17. i've seen that before (well short of 15 unspent decrees)... been a while since I saw it, was back in the first month or two of circuit release.
  18. whole post kind of reeks of a flex based on one week's RNG. Sure there may well be some minute player base that has "optimized" all possible gear (I doubt it). "Mastered" certainly is not the right term - even if you have a forma or two on every single piece of kit, that doesn't make it close to optimal. So while it's POSSIBLE the op has "optimized" every item in WF, it's is far more likely they were RNG blessed with a combination of at least one usable frame/weapon combo that wasn't overly crippled by some other RNG based modifier. And taking issue with the fact "that players can easily complete this task by teaming up with squad members who don't have any modifiers." - Which is just double speak for carry your ass and/or leech. - That is not far removed from having a big clan/alliance/friend list you can spend time optimizing a GROUP but that is just more tedium stacked on an already tedious mission set. The fact is, there is no "flex" to be had "so we can identify the true elite among the Tenno!" - wtf does that even mean? The best at copy/pasting other people's builds? the most time wasted farming every mod/arcane/ or putting sharts on every slot on every frame? the only way to measure anything would be to have the modifiers be no mods, no gear, no operator, no sharts, no team, and everyone has the same frame, same base unmodded weapons each week. and even then - what are you ranking it on? Fastest time to complete each mission? most head shots? most kills? Or most time spent in front of a mirror e-peening? As for the mission and the "rewards"... not worth the effort to even bother imo. Still getting rng based loot, still not "farmable" just means don't bother. If it rewarded currency and rather than a chance at a tau forged vs a chance at an arcane, elite weekly meant you got 2 currency you could use to buy either 2 tau shards OR 2 arcanes of your choice would at least mean that unlike netracell I could target what I want then maybe (and only maybe) it'd be worth it. I'm probably in the minority in that i don't care about shards - I have 20 unused shards, don't bother mixing them, upgrading them etc since they appear to just be a buff flavor-of-the-week that gets changed a week later anyway throwing out any investment in the process and the content in WF doesn't need the shard buffs anyway to trivialize - so I'd rather just get the arcanes, and if not guaranteed, its not worth the headache.
  19. problem is, in their spaghetti code, they'll probably only fix LoS for dante and leave the legacy mess a mess. Megan already indicated they are looking at modification only in the context of dante and not khora whipclaw etc...
  20. 100% your "fault" for not optimizing your approach. calculate target required currency (this includes everything you MAY want: weapons, frame parts, simulacrum scene...) farm currency each time you get an RNG part, reduce target currency. once you have parts+sufficient currency to build everything, stop farm, start crafting. If you get impatient and start purchasing stuff before you've iterated the above, maybe you "get lucky" and don't get a drop of something you already bought, but chances are the more you want, the more likely your impatience only resulted in a longer farm.
  21. Are you looking at Dante's LoS? or everyone's LoS? As far as I know, every single ability that has a LoS check is buggy as all getout. Even simple things like Kullervo's first ability: I can be standing directly in front of an enemay and it refuses to target/lockon - Often requiring walking in circles around the enemy spamming the ability until it takes. Or just giving up entirely on it. Or Khora's LoS check on whipclaw Pillage often feels flaky - but is harder to be sure. Fire Blast is def. flake with minor decorattions, perhaps bodies, and terrain level changes. Its like LoS requires 100% visibility of the enemies from every hair on its head (if they have hair) to every fungal growth beneath their toenail. For clarity, as a player, Line of SIght to me means I can see some part of the enemy, It does NOT mean I have say "excuse me sir, could you step through this full body scanner I borrowed from the airport TSA checkpoint and let me see if I can use my ability on you".
  22. DId you try the new archimedian game mode before you looked at your pulse count (thereby consuming two of them?)
  23. Why not just remove any cc abilities from the game entirely and get rid of the annoying overguard. Lets be honest - it was really y'all just sticking another toe in the water of localized game modifiers in yet another pathetic attempt to shortcut any real game balance. Localized game modifiers apparently being the new catchall for "difficulty" with a full barrage of them in the new game mode. The obvious design flaws with overguard aside, there is one action against them that should be allowed: disarm. What, their weapons have overguard too now? come on. Primary Obstruct, Halikar, CounterPulse, Shooting Gallery (not mentioned in above), radial disarm (just not the IRRADIATING effect of the augment) should still work on them and there should be more gun-jamming/enemy disarming made available via unique weapons, arcanes or something.
  24. Sometime when people are on the receiving end of constructive criticism, they double down and go faster down the wrong path. Seen DE do it before. I actually don't care in this race because I haven't had time to use any of the things that got nerfed - I only knew not to bother investing in any of it from the shear volume of clickbait thumbnails thrown at me by YouTube. Didn't even watch those - it was clear just from that the hammer was coming. In any event, the increasing amount of daily/weekly FOMO chores DE throws at me is pushing me away from the game anyway - every time I log in I feel more and more obligated to do this weekly mission or that daily task rather than casually enjoy the game for a few hours on end playing with different builds.
  25. The RNG system is simply bad in a game with over 500 weapons that are wildly different in power/synergies etc. I own every weapon, every variant (excluding lato/skana prime :( ) so the above restriction to "owned only" would just punish players who collected everything. But this is de way - introduce a concept, in this case rng loadouts with the circuit, hear a bunch of negative feedback, ignore said negative feedback and double down. Maybe its like politicians and taxes.. if you bury the masses in enough of them, they'll be too busy digging out from under them, or just morosely accept them as a fact of the new order and won't complain any more.
