I don't think DE themselves have thought of what exactly they are trying to do.
I agree.
I think it's likely de are probably in a constant state of panic internally rushing to get content out. That leaves very little time to actually make long term plans beyond hazy aspirations.
That explains why so many things get forgotten and left for dead and why there's so many unrelated aspects to the game.
Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of faith in de to always do their best and I love the game. There is unquestionably a lack of structure though.

Yh, the polearm skin takes colour horribly. Pity, it could look good if the colours I choose are the actual colours it uses.

Do elemental Augments like Shock Trooper stack this build? If so, I’ll just stand next to her, cast 1, and lolol a 200% lightning stack.
I can't say for sure, but I don't believe so.
Shock trooper and other similar augs add % elemental bonus to attacks, so Mesa's 4, wukongs stick etc would get buffed. Legerdemain turns loot into proximity mines, with the damage type of the mine dependant on the type of loot. Rhinos roar definitely will increase damage, as will chromas vex buff, that's if a chroma ever built for range to buff teammates that is.
Best way to buff this mirage build is bring nekros. Failing that, an out and out strength buff.

To be fair it doesn't really compare to Saryn in ESO. Saryn is ESO doesn't bring any mph, the number of saryn kills is proportionnal to the inability for her mate to capitalise and a side effect of ranging the whole area with a damage over time effect. Even if you play a very agressive glasscanon build and end up at 3K dmg tics, things don't die instantly, sure you can ult as well but it is still diffuse. Actually having mirage on top of it is perfect for everybody. In the other hand Saryn can handle easily ESO herself but there is a difference between say 3-5K kills and 15K kills.
tl;dr; don't be afraid of bringing this build, a saryn in the team makes it even better.
Yep, and you'll almost always have a saryn in the team so can usually count on this strategy working.

Damn no. I used it up to lvl 100 and kills like a madman. Its a very, very underrated build.
Agree, very underrated.
I've had saryn's and volts pester me after eso runs wanting to know how I managed to get more kills/damage than they did. Especially as it's such a low-key ability, it doesn't look like you're doing anything.
Put a nekros in the squad and it's just silly. Also take vacuum off as you want as much junk on the floor as possible.

Explosive legerdemain build.
Rivals saryn for kills

I had a great time as a new player. Dunno, maybe I'm weird.
Everything was new. I could tell there was a lot to learn and a hella lotta content to get through, but I didn't feel I had to do it all at once. I could tell this game had enough stuff to keep me going for ages, and it has, nearly 3.5k hours so far and there's still stuff I've not done.
I enjoyed the learning process. Having to work things out made everything feel more rewarding when I finally achieved something. The wiki was my friend, and still is.
I didn't approach the game as if it was a $60, 50 hour, complete the levels and that's it type of game. It was obvious it was gonna take a long time to get anywhere and that was the appeal, longevity.
Maybe it's because I'm a bit older (late 40s), but I'm not impatient and don't want things handed to me. I understand the concept of working towards a goal. And I know the biggest goals are best achieved when broken down into smaller ones.
Could the NPE do with some help, yeah. But I'm not for hand holding or simplifying the game to the point players lose the sense of achievement in having to work things out for themselves either.

Well done 😃
Time isn't important. You did it solo using a frame most wouldn't. Feel good.

As a console player, I've not got a chance to use any of these weapons yet.
However, if the tombfinger was already being talked about as bramma 2.0, anyone who didn't see a nerf coming is a bit short sighted.
And if it was as powerful as people describe, nerfing it asap is the best option. I understand why people don't like nerfs to their new favourite toy, I really do, but better to do it now than in six months after everyone has built it.
After all, a big part of the criticism de faced over the bramma was because they left it so long.

Once Khora has built up her combo, her Whipclaw does massive amounts of damage (especially with Accumulating Whipclaw). We're talking a million+ of red crit damage. Granted, it does massive amounts of damage to enemies in a focused area. Whipclaw can also sometimes bypass LoS and damage enemies through walls and terrain... it doesn't always work, but it's pretty sweet when it does. Whipclaw has a synergy with Strangledome where damage done to one trapped enemy is distributed to all the other trapped enemies... Strangledome increases the AOE for Khora and provides some CC (annoying to some players).
She works great in ESO where enemies are in high density. She's definitely my favorite ESO frame! She's a ton of fun. She does not work anywhere near as well in normal missions... I used her in Sortie Excavation yesterday and the enemies were spawning all over the map and my Whipclaw wasn't "nuking" them like a real nuke like Equinox, Volt or Saryn could do... because Whipclaw is directional and when enemies are low density and spread out, you just can't really "nuke" with Whipclaw.
I am aware of all of this, hence why I said she's one of the best kill frames in the game. But thanks, I guess??

[DE] should honestly just remove all and any nukes from the game or nerf them to the point that they have a minimal effect on the tougher units. Compared to other frames I don't think Khora is too much of an issue.
Define "nuke".
There's a bunch of frames can kill large numbers of enemies with a button push. And what enemy level are you talking about?
My oberon, excal, nezha, mag, frost and more can nuke low level trash mobs. That's bound to annoy some players, right?
And it's weird that you say khora isn't too much of an issue after your first sentence considering she's one of the best mass kill frames in the game right now with damage that scales really high.
Colour me confused.

Saryn's 1, Loki's 2, chroma's 3, mesa's 4.
I dont see a problem with game balance here at all.

This happens when you don't research your target first.
As Sun Tzu said....
If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle
I think op is sadly in the last category.

I find running through missions just using his spaghetti ball to gather enemies and then heavy attack melee to be loads of fun, I dont try and get stacks at all in anything outside survival and defense.

I understand it could potentially cause players to just kick those they didnt like, but it would be cool if they left into their own instance and not back to the orbiter.
Unfortunately I already have a clan, populated solely by me until a month ago where I invited my long time friend and new player. So the options are fairly slim for me XDOne of the downsides of solo/small clans - u dont have contant access to hundreds of players to run missions with. You can always make an effort to recruit more people, thereby giving you more options. Or you can ditch the solo, or now duo, life and join a big clan, but you maybe dont want to do that if you've invested a lot into it, can be a lot to let go of.
I'm not really into discord much outside my own clan/alliance so dont know what options there are out there about joing diff servers to meet other players. May also be worth looking into.

Vote to kick would cause several orders of magnitude more problems than it could possibly solve.
I agree, afk players are a pain. To be honest, I rarely encounter them outside of hydron, but my experience is obviously different from you.
There are ways to limit it though. Join a big clan or use recruiting being the obvious ones. A big clan will normally have players you can team with and let's you meet players you can regularly do missions with and form friendships. Much better than going with pub squads.
If you're host u can always abort, which isnt ideal but at least u know the afk player is going to get a nasty surprise.

You say "we" and "someone" but there's only you in the squad and no allies on your mini map.

Oh true, the costant refilling of energy flux didnt helped either i guess (like part for the ship mean crap, except maybe the reactor but sigma mk3 is good enough, all you needed and still need is a good battle avionic that you can get on earth too).
And rofl, like i didnt done RJ before the revised, Ivara stealthkill was 1 hitting anything and giving you tons of intriscs, not just 12 plus you could even quit anytime and KEEP the intrinsics earned until that point (that sadly was already fixed when i started, so had to do whole missions for a measy 50 intrisics at time in Veil QQ).
Check your lies better thx.
And about that new grind, we can see already more than one topic/video about how to get thousand kills for those spectres camping spawns.
Pretty sure by the time it get on ps4 all those will be fixed but there will be ppls like you claiming that YOUR farm and grind was so hard, horrible and long (while meanwhile we read already now that took just few hours to ppls to get everything lol).
Ps: MAYBE you didnt got any Umbra but if they got removed for sure there was a reason (aka, devs can actually SEE how many dropped).
If you think there is ANYTHING about railjack that is harder or grindier now than before it was updated, you are laughably uninformed.
It is easier in absolutely every regard.

Tbh, there's not many frames/builds you would actually need an umbral forma on.
I've only ever used one and I can complete pretty much everything this game has to offer with just about any frame. Don't fall into the trap of thinking you need to use them on loads of builds, you don't. 3-4 normal forma is enough for most builds, obviously there's exceptions.
They're rare. Use them wisely.

You're hoping the hopeless. It would be the only modular weapon type not to require so.
I think you're probably right, but as there's not going to be mr tied to them I was hoping we could forego the gilding process.

Tbh, I dont care if they offer xp, I'll be building them all cos they sound cool.
I just hope they don't need gilded.

This was thoroughly explained across the other posts, namely the op.
Most clans have one or two players that can instantly fill up any research requirements that use resources.
You cannot stock pigments for colors that arent actively being researched and they dont come from general gameplay, only from that colors specific enemy while that pigment is active. As such, it cannot be instantly completed by those with resource stockpiles , and as a result , requires an conscious farming effort which for most is too much of a task to complete in reasonable time by an individual or two. Partly why most of these groups dont have them.
Hence clan effort/involvement/contribution.
As a warlord in a clan of hundreds of players, this does not reflect the actual reality I see every day. We're also part of an alliance which has a couple of thousand players.
Every day I see players going out of their way to help others, either with farming, clearing nodes, giving away sets, parts, mods, giving help and advice, you name it. And I believe the number of players in my clan/alliance is large enough to be fairly representative.
I really dont understand why you're so upset about a point which is so pedantic concerning an issue which in reality, only a tiny number of players are the even the slightest bit concerned about. All players are concerned with is tenno labs, drydock and lich trading post. That's it. I'll wager a lot of players don't even know what pigments are. A clan not having every pigment researched is in no way an indication of how nice/helpful/generous the members of that clan are.

When Are We Getting The Command Intrinsic?
in General Discussion
Posted
I think the command tree is likely incredibly difficult to develop.
WF ai is not the best. Just watch any pet for proof. Trying to introduce a system where captured liches or hired syndicate crew can make intelligent decisions on the fly ain't gonna be easy.
Do you really want a bot in charge of your forge? Would you trust their ability to forge what you actually need?
Given how glitchy rj still can be, introducing a team of npc's to carry out critical tasks would, I think, be a disaster.
If the tree isn't scrapped completely and replaced with something else as part of the planned changes to the intrinsic system I'll be surprised.
