I just had 4 hardware failures in a row, after being in-game for maximum 3 minutes; done for today...I hope DE adresses this very soon

Same for me, thought my pc was faulty, even tested everything, ram via windows testing, cpu benchmarking for hours and looking at the temps, same for furmark (gpu). I hope they'll fix this :)

I have the exact same problem and as you said, I even tried to delete the mail. Nothing changes, is there anything we could do? Or do we just need to wait for DE to fix it?
