I've managed to update my warframe with this not-so-simple steps, which, ofc, you can try, but may yield different results.

    1. Download a random VPN server program. Speedify is my preferred program right now.
    2. Flush the DNS cache in your computer by typing "cmd" in your search bar (for Win10) and then ipconfig /flushdns.
    3. Switch on your VPN and then proceed to opening the launcher.
    4. Turn off "bulk download" options from the Settings menu (gear icon in the top right corner) for secondary measures.
    5. Proceed to download the updates normally.
    6. Switch the VPN off to safe your remaining free data for the future "problems" like this.

I've started a thread about this whole thing tagged on top, if you guys would like to bump on it, be my guest. I'm using a Wifi connection and wondering whether the root of the problem is that or something else.

    Good luck.

Thank you very much for this.  I was able to download the patch using a VPN linked to the United States.  I did download and patch successfully using the WIFI so that was not the issue.  I turned off VPN after the patching was complete and logged in with my ID and PW using my standard Korean connection.

Hello, guys. I'm a PC non-steam user of Warframe.

This morning's update when Nyx and Rhino Prime came in, I tried to update my warframe launcher but to no avail.

I've tried all the solutions listed in the internet, but unfortunately also to no avail.

Then, I tried the combination of all of the solutions which is:

    1. Flushing the DNS via windows command prompt, ipconfig /flushdns.
    2. Activating my VPN which is Speedify.
    3. Downloading the update. Which now yields successful results.

I've also almost forgot to note that before flushing the DNS cache, the VPN method yielded "content server is currently unavailable" error.

And way before that, the launcher just yields plain "Update Failed!" message with no additional messages in capitals.

Also the error messages in capitals that I've got so far were :
    1. ERROR_INTERNET_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED
    2. ERROR_INTERNET_TIMEOUT
    3. "Update materials cannot be downloaded from the content server" kind of thing. This happened after flushing the DNS cache. Restarting the warframe WITHOUT actually switching the VPN on to update my warframe will yield this message.

Now, it struck my mind that I've recently switched my connection over from my house's WAN to a wifi. There are 2 questions I would like to ask you guys,

    1. Could that be the root of the problem?
    2. Will this problem appear again should an update surfaces?
    3. If yes, is there any other fixes rather than to use a VPN to do updates in the future?

    Thank you.

After reading your post, I've flushed DNS but the problem has not changed.  I'm afraid of using a VPN as I've read that it can lead to an auto ban.

  4. I currently reside in S. Korea.  The game fails to update ever since the NYX & RHINO update.  I've tried everything: uninstall, reinstall, antivirus, router reset.  Nothing will work at this point until DE releases a fix.

    Hey guys!

Are any of you still unable to login? We're thinking that these issues are related to the number of times you attempt to input a false code or falsely input a code. If that is the case, there is quite a long wait until you can log back in again, but for many of you who posted about this days ago, after several hours you should have been able to log back in. We'll be looking at the persisting cases to see if we can remedy it for you.

    Thank you for your patience!

I woke up, purchased the Nyx & Rhino pack from the Warframe website and launched Warframe.  I haven't been able to log in due to the following message:

    Update failed!

The content servers are temporarily unavailable.

    ERROR_INTERNET_CONNECTION_RESET

The update will be restarted shortly..

I thought it was a software issue on my end, so I've tried reinstalling the game through Steam.

    It still fails to connect.

  6. Update failed!

    Please try again later.

The update will be restarted shortly..

    Nothing happens.

Should I reinstall the game or is this an issue with DE servers?

If it's DE, they need to dispatch a short notice stating for example: "Our servers are being fixed to address a problem.  We apologize for the inconvenience.  The launcher will be updated automatically after the problem has been resolved."

  7. I recently started playing and the game is quite amazing.  I have watched many good reviews about this game, documentaries about this wonderful group of developers and the history of this game.  I am bilingual, fluent in both English and Korean.  I prefer to play the game with English menus.  I wish there was a way to communicate with both English and Korean speaking players in the game.  Currently, the English mode does not allow me to type in Korean nor am I able to see Korean people communicating in general chat.  In order to communicate with them, I have to restart the game in Korean language mode, which changes my menu to Korean.
