  1. No. The goal is to give each planet its own map. Think about realism.

Once again, the variety of the game would suffer for this, and it's one of the game's biggest drawbacks. I've been playing Warframe since it only had one tileset - the Corpus Ship, so I know the value of variety. Besides - realism - really? Are we really going to go there?

If every planet had one tileset, you'd have no reason to return and experience that content once you've gained the rewards. If they were spread out, as ice planets are now, you would see it everywhere.

  2. I really like the desert planets, but now that I have the Twin Gremlins and Miter, I have no reason to ever see them again. Why are there ice planets everywhere, but desert planets are segregated into Phobos, never to be seen once you've gotten all the rewards from them, except for the occasional alert?

It would make much more sense, and increase the variety of the game, if they were spread out, like the ice planets.

  3. Just gotta love how people will try the hardest they can to prove you wrong in some way, shape, or form.

Try? He *is* wrong. Nekros is a guaranteed mission reward. Golem does not drop his parts.

  4. Golem does not drop Nekros parts. He drops the new mods, and the Nekros parts are a guaranteed mission reward at the end of the mission, with a 33% chance of getting any particular part, so that part of the rant is incorrect.

  5. I'm not sure how to report this properly, but me and my friend have reset our routers, changed our matchmaking region, tried disabling uPnP and using ports manually, we've done SpeedTest.net between each other's cities, and we never had this problem until the desert tileset was released.

Basically, there's extreme lag for the client. The game is unplayable. The client sees everything like five seconds in the past. This only happens when I host or he hosts, not with public hosts. I've had public players in game and none of them seemed to be having issues.

It's just us specifically. It also only happens on Phobos. We never had the problem before, we have a great connection to each other and my upstream is great due to fiberoptic.

We alternated between Phobos and Ceres tonight to double check, and sure enough, there's a perfect connection in Ceres, and a terrible connection on Phobos.

I was wondering if anybody else has experienced this issue, and if so, could they report if they've found a solution. If not, I'd just like to bring it to the developer's attention. Thanks.

  6. I don't think anybody's noticed, but there is something new happening in this event. The scouts spawn in random locations throughout the ship, not in set locations. It's a set number of scouts too - based on how many players there are in the group.

Screams "We've quietly implemented miniboss spawning algorithms" to me. Just thought I'd point that out.

  7. Me and my friend were discussing the fact that there are no infested tilesets...and it makes no sense for there to ever be an infested tileset, because they infest other race's stuff.

So we started thinking what loopholes we could find in that caveat. Colonial settlements are perfect. It's a new tileset, and infestation would hit the most populated areas the hardest. It'd look like a post apocalyptic zombie movie almost.

  8. Corrosive Projection... it sounds as if we are getting a poison damage mod at last.

Shield Disruption... sounds as if it is a mod that will lower/ negate enemy shield values.

Infested Impedance... sounds as if it will make the infested more zombie-like, in the fact that it would slow them down, or perhaps lower their general performance.

Only DE knows. And they also know how to hijack a weekend.

    Well played.

Actually given the names, I would wager to say they are damage increases to each race. Corrosive stuff melts Grineer armor, shield disruption does more damage vs Corpus, infested impedance...does more damage against Infested.

  9. I think a cooler idea would be to handle the Void like Hellgate London handled it's sub instances. At any point during a random mission, you could find a hatch in the ground that led to another dungeon. These were also random. The Void consists of pockets of spacetime, so theoretically they could be very small, and appear, say, in the middle of a Grineer ship. (Grineer and Corpus screw with enough Orokin artifacts that I assume this would be believable enough.)

TLDR: Spawn portals to the void in regular missions, but only rarely, and scale the void with the level of the mission, so tier 3's would spawn in Pluto, tier 1's would spawn in Venus.
