The Jackal did not spawn any reinforcements and the counter was stuck at 0/1. After a host migration a single enemy was found floating above the map, killing it moved the mission to the next stage and allowed us to damage the Jackal but performing a parazon attack did not lower its health bar locking the mission from progressing.
