  1. What a stupid and user-unfriendly change.

I am usually not interested in chat - even more so if its a big channel with messages flying by faster than anybody can read.

Or I might watch a stream on my big tv without any chat at all. Ever tried to chat with a tv remote? I do not think so.

  2. Granum void what?

Tenno around today and tomorrow will know what it was and everyone coming into the game later will either never hear about it or maybe buy the frame with plat because no one else can be bothered to go farm with them in there.

Same thing like Grendel was.. hyped for a month and designed in an annoying way to make ppl who missed the boat spend plat to get it over with.

  3. I dont mind the odd conservation challenge here and there..

However, I DO mind that they still have not implemented it correctly after years and still have buggers spawn so out of the way that their pathfinding gets stuck or they spawn underground, inside a hill or whereever it is that prevents them from reaching the target zone and making me waste a lot of time because it just bugged out.

    That is indeed beyond frustrating..

  4. The problem DE now has is that ppl expect Nightwave to have a decent rotation of new(ish) rewards.

Alerts were the prefered system to deliver certain items for ages. And it worked. More or less. See something pop up you want - 10 minutes mission and you are done.

But to get stuff in Nightwave you have to actually "work" for it. You are not really free to choose how to play your game anymore.. tedious chores are thrown your way left, right and center. Again and again and again the same handful of more often than not rather time consuming and boring "challenges".

This burns out ppl really fast.. and they need fresh incentives at decent intervalls.. and those need additional development time by DE. DE shoot themselves in the foot here - the alerts pretty much ran by itself for many, many months no problem. But Nightwave needs constant investment to introduce new stuff, push the story, etc. to keep ppl interested and happy little tennos.

And so far DE aint keeping up with the expectations.

Simply put, if you don't come into work, you get fired.

If you don't play Warframe, you get removed.

The latest additions to warframe were so complex and bloated that you have to read dozens of pages of update notes, forum and wiki posts to even begin to understand whats going on, watch all sorts of dev streams, youtube tutorials and whatnot, etc.

You can no longer simply "play the game" without putting in a lot extra mileage, without putting in the extra "work". And there we have the problem. This is not supposed to be "work". Not for the player.

If something requires you to sit down for hours to rtfm before you can even begin to understand whats going on and what should/should not happen then the whole system is broken and bound for failure from the start... that does not fly for a game like warframe. Not at all.

Unfortunately this is what DE has started to deliver lately...

  6. I ran Rhino/exterminate with all keys a lot. And I really mean a lot. Weapons are usually Ignis Wraith, a catchmoon if something really annoying comes too close and the big melee hammer that autoscans kills for bashing on cats (cant remember its name atm, sorry).

Might not be fastest because more often than not I get lost looking for the bloody door but its actually very easy.

  7. Have to admit... I really was not a big fan of the whole nightwave thingies when it launched.

First season was terrible, the challenges where a lot extra chores for little gain... but it got some adjustments and got better over time and the system kinda grew on me.

However... that last overstretched "intermission" blew all credits DE earned right out of the water. For someone who did all the first seasons most of the higher tier rewards were useless duplicates. I get that they would want to give a chance to newer players to get stuff they might have missed. And that is perfectly fine.

But letting this intermission suffer on for so long was a really bad decision... there is zero incentive to continue collecting those meager "credits" for the only useful stuff to get are reactors/catalysts and Kuva. I have reactors/catalysts coming out my ears and I had all auras and weapons and (most) helmets even before nightwave even started in the first place. And for someone who would really need truckloads of Kuva the nightwave credit system is about as bad as it gets for the time investment required there.

This intermission really needs to die in a huge fire... fast. Very fast.

  8. I am having a strange issue here... usually my "control-right" key is set for "jump". And to "ascend" in archwing mode.

This has worked for years and still does so in archwing mode.

But not while piloting a railjack: here now it toggles some sort of external view, no hud elements, the camera looks like to be outside the railjack, left side, still facing front where the pilot is looking.

I have not found any keybinding for that... and when I change my "ascend" to something different than "crtl-right" it still toggles that view, but ascending the ship now works.

Did u guys hard-code something to "ctrl-right" while piloting a railjack, ignoring/overwriting whatever the ctrl-right is supposed to do?

Don't make the sound off, it will considered by twitch as "not watching" so set it as low as possible instead

Not how it works. HDMI is a one-way street, there is no way the twitch app running on the fire stick can detect if the TV audio is muted.

  10. Nah, nothing here either, been "watching" for almost an hour, too.

Well, "watching" is having it open on the fire stick twitch app with the TV sound off... and playing some games while waiting. If I'd had to actually "watch" and listen to the show for 30min I would probably go murder something irl...

One small hitch with that, it would still be possible for 3 people to be a premade and intentionally troll others by kicking the 4th at the near end of every mission.

Not saying it is a common occurrence, but I've seen it happen far more often than it really should.

    Possibly.

However... if you decide to go public crew there should be no possibility to just open up a pre-made group to fill up a last slot.

If you public crew then the server and the server only decides who you gonna get for all slots... sure, it would still be possible "friends" might be paired this way but creating a pre-made setup to intentionally screw someone over might not be as easy or reliable to do.

  12. A kick button is way too powerful.. what's to stop an A****** captain to kick crew randomly mid-mission?

And these missions apparently will take some time (not only a couple minutes like "normal" missions) to complete. You know that's gonna happen if there is a kick button readily available... loosing 15,20, 30min of my game time because a random captain wants to be a $&*^ suddenly? No way.

What could work is a voting system where all of the crew has to agree to remove a player.. but an all-powerful direct kick button? No, never, can not happen.

You can't zoom in on the map, but if you hold what ever button you use to bring the map up, then it will give you a smaller map.

    Few things to note tho.
    1. You can't move why this map is up.
    2. Right clicking will let you way point a location on the map.

Actually... you used to be able to zoom in on the free-roam maps (the "solid" huge one you open by pressing and holding map key for a couple seconds) with the mouse wheel.

Not sure when exactly it changed but this does indeed not work anymore; not sure when I used this last, but probably not more than a few months ago.

  14. I used to love casually playing warframe... a few missions here and there, couple times a week. Nothing serious. Just for fun. And fun was had. Lots of.

Then came the nightwave chores and I muddled through. Some fun was still there but it got tedious pretty quickly.

And now the lich...well, all fun is gone now... this new "content" blew ii right out of the water.

Wasting hours upon hours on this lich thingie? Forced on me, gated behind layers upon layers of rng grind and indeed now punishing me if I do not do it?

Hell, no. That's no fun at all and frankly I value my spare time way too much to waste it on that "content".

Guess they finally broke this camels back... maybe again in a few months - only after they introduce a reasonable opt-out mechanic.

  15. Not long after I started I got the same 75% discount offer and I choose to buy one 1k plat package.... best investment ever.

I did not spent any of it on marketplace stuff, cosmetics or anything "shiny". I do not care about such stuff in games generally.

The only thing I bought was slots (both for frames and for weapons) and maybe a handful of really hard to farm mods I would consider essential for later game. I do not keep every frame or weapon I master and rotate the handful I really like/need or want to keep with maybe two dozen or so slots in total.

Today it is almost two years later and I am still living off these 1k plat... I never bothered to try get more plat through player trading and probably never will - I do not as much care about the only thing in warframe that requires insane amounts of plat: riven mods.

Recently I decided to buy one single frame (Khora) because the same couple hundred plat were just sitting in my account for months now without me needing it for anything else anymore. And I really despise Khora's farming location.

Slots, slots, slots... that's where it's at. Everything else is... well... unimportant more or less. If you have a little self discipline and are not an impulsive shopper, those 1k plat will last forever. Or most certainly as long as you still have fun playing warframe...

A few days ago I completed all my ayatan sculptures, like 5 or 6 of them. Now I get a recovered mission to complete 3 ayatan sculptures. How in the #*!% is this okay or """fun""" for anyone? Nightwave missions need a MAJOR overhaul in season 3.

It knows. It knows! And it will make you suffer!

Be afraid and do not do stuff that's not currently a challenge... or... do whatever you want and don't give a #*!% about nightwave. And might I suggest option two...
