Could not watch live during the event. I had the honor to work all day. Is or will there be another way to earn the Lotus Ephemera?

I had this same circumstance. I was watching the first hour of TennoCon coverage before leaving for work, and I kept the Stream running in my absence for when I came back home six hours later resume watching the stream.

My Twitch Account is Linked to my Warframe Account, and I made sure my Twitch Activity said I was watching Warframe streaming on Twitch. Still haven't seen either of the drops appear inside my Inbox since Sunday Afternoon. I'm hoping I didn't overlook anything else. 😟

I agree that Zephyr needs some QoL changes but I wouldn't use Titania as a comparison point.

Not to be rude, but I stopped reading once I saw this, because it doesn't take the issue seriously. You have to use Titania as a comparison point, because doing so highlights what Titania can do, in terms of mobility, that Zephyr can't. Zephyr cannot even move when in hover mode, which is beyond ridiculous- given, Zephyr's specialty is aerial mobility.

To be absolutely clear: I'm not stating Titania shouldn't have mobility. Turning into a Pixie and being able to float around is a very attractive element to Titania. I'm saying Titania should at least be allowed to hybridize aerial mobility into her kit, without taking away from Zephyr's playstyle.

    In a nutshell:
You want Aerial Superiority to make everything dead? Zephyr.
You want to be a pixie and make everything dead? Titania.

Actually not to sound offensive, but what does your suggestion actually fix? Steerable Tailwind would feel kinda awkward to be honest, I much prefer the straight dashes and being able to look anywhere while I'm mid-dash, instead of trying to steer your dash with your camera, which would feel terrible to me.

Making Tail Wind steerable means you can make sure the enemy doesn't dodge you with a comically effortless sidestep.

Your reply here seems to come across the lines of, "Man, I prefer to woosh right past the enemy when using Tail Wind. Oh, but maneuvering myself more precisely towards my target just sounds pointless!" Don't do that to yourself, dude. :[

  4. So, I've been watching the Prime Trailers all over again, and preparing for Hydroid Prime's cinematic trailer.

When I listened to Ballas's dialogue, it got me thinking about the other Primed Warframes who haven't gotten a cinematic trailer (yet). I wanted to speculate upon what he thought when creating them, because not only is his dialogue very powerful to listen to, but his allusions to bits of lore add much to the game's esoteric backstory. In the spirit of speculation, I wanted to start off by wondering what he'd say about my favorite frame, Volt Prime.

    Quote

We have been bound to it,
    for as long as inception.
    Ancient power lying dormant,
    glinting amongst eons of evolution.

    Once an arcane phenomena,
    now a tangible application.
The more we understand these chains,
the more they beg to be harnessed.

    Submissive to our command,
    yet dominant to our desire.
We take this relationship for granted,
like a push of a button.

    Electricity.
It sounds so simple, doesn't it?

    It accelerates our innovation,
    to progress beyond possibility.
It feeds into our greatest impulses,
    benevolent or corrupt.

    A sparkle toward our eyes-
    a wonderous beauty.
    Inspiration and Insight gleam,
when in sync with our psyche.

    A blinding flash of force-
    devastation in its wake.
    A consequence of hubris,
    serving Divine Judgement.

Lest we become consumed by power,
I want to leave a reminder of ourselves.
    A mercurial memorandum.
    A pinnacle of potential.

    Volt.

Got an idea of what Ballas might weave poetic for the other no-cinematic Primes? Post it here!

  5. Good to know I wasn't the only one who got this bug. I was going crazy for a moment trying to figure out if it was an error from updating the game.

Love your helmets, Rekkou! Can't wait for the Banshee Echo helmet to drop.

I like the concept, but I would leave the stats themselves out, or disclaim so the rules trolls stay in their holes.  Make it a primary, this thing looks like a beast and should be showcased as such.  It's more of a tenno heavy weapon.  If you don't mind, I would like to sketch my ideas of it.

I'll be honest, I don't browse the forums often, so I could use an explanation about what you mean by "rules trolls." I'll probably put up a disclaimer somewhere, though.

My idea was to come up with a Tenno equivalent to the Kulstar or Angstrum, which is why I designed it as secondary. I could come up with a Primary version to compliment this weapon, however. Because that sounds just as awesome. And please do show me your sketch ideas!

Funny- I thought I saw some Pistols like you described somewhere before... :)

And I'm really not sure what the knobs haging off the bottom and top add to the design.

If you look at the main picture, there's a key that tells you the parts and features of the gun. Those knobs are supposed to function as a Turbine where they are connected, and they spin like a pinwheel to convert the Void Energy inside its Ammunition into Laser Shots.

    1 hour ago, Rehtael7 said:

Nothing about it really looks like a laser, it just looks like a machine pistol with a little pokey thing on top.

You could also say the same about the Talons- They look like Caltrops at first glance, but the target wouldn't know that they detonate on contact. I find that Tenno weapon designs are supposed to evoke a sense of enigma, and in studying Mynki's designs, I bet he would agree. It's what I was aiming for with the design of the Mahou. I'll probably add more detail to it when I figure out what to add to it and find the time to work on modifying the design.

First off, we look at the Angstrum's base damage of 425 Blast. The Super Charged shots on this gun would likely be the primary focus that most players would use it for. Granted, there's people who actually would love to just have raw Heat and raw Cold damage without it being forced into a Blast, and this gun delivers that in spades. However, coding a weapon to function off of mods in the way you've presented seems like a rather laborious task. Instead, I'd suggest it rely on the way the game picks status procs; the highest elemental combo's dmg rating would determine what Special Charged Shot would be utilized. It would potentially free up a mod slot that would otherwise need to  be used.

Oooh, that's a very good point, actually. I hadn't thought about comparing it to the Angstrum until this bit of advice.

I agree on the idea that that the mod slot arrangement is rather convoluted- My thought process was that I didn't want the highest damage elemental combo would take up two of the charged firing modes (i.e. Radiation is the highest damage, therefore, it takes up both heat and electric Charged fire), so I went with the Double-Mod-Arrangement as a failsafe to that. Now, thanks to your reminder that elemental combo mods at the top row take priority, I've got more confidence in what I want to do with the advanced firing mode now.

Other than that, to get back to the whole damage rating thing, I feel like some of them would actually be far too powerful. Gas in specific, should be about 200 damage lower than that to compensate. The Viral orb's multiplying would actually generate an end-yield result of far higher than 40%, and that steps on Saryn's toes a bit too much. I'd suggest that should be as low as 15%, with modding for status making it viable in that regard

I initially made the total damage higher because I thought my initial ideas for the total damage was a bit too low. In retrospect, I probably should have kept it that way. I'll make that change ASAP.

15% sounds much better for the Viral Charged Shot. I thought it would have made a nice add-on with Saryn! :P

As a last point, having varying Energy drains would potentially turn people away from it, or just make them more reliant on Energy Vampire. I'd suggest simply making it a flat 25 Energy cost that isn't influenced by effeciency from the frame itself. That's either an ult cast from a 75% Eff-running player, or a single cast of their 1st ability.

I'll admit, that was a mechanic that I thought of from the inspirational material I used. Flat 25 Energy Cost sounds pretty good to me, though.

The Mahou (“Mä-Hō”) is an elemental secondary Laser Cannon, built purely for multi-purpose elemental devastation. Its unique feature is setting its firing mode to one of four elements, each possessing their own damage and status properties. As a Laser Cannon, it can be fired with a Normal Fire mode, or a Charged Fire that depletes the entire Shell it uses. It can be pushed to even further potential with special Mod arrangements. The ammunition consists of being loaded from the back of the gun (L) with large, brass Shells. These Shells contain Void Energy that is converted via from the receiver and its elemental setting via its spinning turbine (P) into a deadly laser, or a destructive energy blast. Here, you will learn the Mahou’s tricks of the trade.

Codex Lore (spoilers: "The Second Dream" content included)

    Spoiler

Jinsho, that mute, addled hermit. He insisted on keeping these ancient Tomes from our research of Earth. I have to admire his dedication in the esoteric, however. Questionable. Yet, he meant well. Perhaps he required something to pass the time maintaining the archives. He was meticulous with this specific set of data, so much as to have a habit of putting a lock on it for his personal use. He left everything else to our own uses. But why would he go that far?

Confidentiality was his strongsuit. Despite the inconsequential these Tomes are, it was a risk in letting him peruse it. Jinsho resisted in divulging his purposes for his studies. I addressed this to Ballas, but he expressed no threat to Jinsho's research. In fact, he stated a great contribution may come from it. But, what are we to gain from believing in such primordial fantasies?

    Then, it occurred to me.

He developed this habit shortly after we had begun the Zariman Ten-Zero Project. I immediately theorized he had a plan for the children. I questioned Jinsho of this behavior, but he would not budge. I persisted for days when I had the opportunity. But his answers only rang with nonsense. So, I sought to resort to intruding his quarters. If he would not give me the answer, I will have to take it by force. Entering his abode, I was greeted with artifacts scattered among his archives, and I was unable to decipher whether this was some convoluted arrangement, or just the product of an addled mind. Many others who have met with him have exclaimed such things, but I had never imagined it would be to an extreme as I witnessed.

I felt a calloused hand upon my shoulder. Of course- he was expecting me.

I turned to Jinsho with suspicion. He leered upon me with grim and dour eyes...an unusual manner for him. Lifting his hand, his finger led me to his study. He was urging me to look upon what awaited me. Like opening a door to an entirely different realm. I glanced the text, and noticed it was an address to me.

"Kazeros: you must find your answers with the disciples of Zenurik. It is pointless to immediately indulge you. I have kept the answers with them and them only. Only then will you attain this knowledge, bound to your hands."

I'm beyond belief. It seems now I have yet another burden I must carry.

I need to speak with them. Immediately.

The default firing modes for the Mahou consist of all four basic elements: Heat, Cold, Electric, and Toxin. The Mahou's ability to change its elemental settings on a whim provides unprecedented versatility- All of these shots have their own normal and charged Firing modes, allowing you eight different ways to debilitate hordes of enemies of all kinds.

    Heat:
    ⁃ Elemental Damage: 170
    ⁃ Crit Chance: 10%
    ⁃ Crit Multiplier: 1.5
    ⁃ Status Chance: 15%
⁃ Normal Shot: Short-range blast of laser pellets with spread.
⁃ Charged Shot: Massive, long-range Tri-Spiral Heat Beam, with fiery contrails that have a chance to set targets in range on fire.

    Cold:
    ⁃ Elemental Damage: 165
    ⁃ Crit Chance: 5%
    ⁃ Crit Multiplier: 1.0x
    ⁃ Status Chance: 25%
⁃ Normal Shot: Sub-Zero Plasma Sphere that detonates on contact and inflicts Cold damage.
⁃ Charged Shot: A larger sub-zero Plasma Sphere that detonates on contact, and spreads Ice Shrapnel to deal Cold damage, with a chance to inflict Puncture status.

    Electric:
    ⁃ Elemental Damage: 175
    ⁃ Crit Chance: 15%
    ⁃ Crit Multiplier: 1.5x
    ⁃ Status Chance: 10%
⁃ Normal Shot: 8-bullet burst of laser beams, which can occasionally electrify the target.
⁃ Charged Shot: long-range electric Laser which electrifies target on contact, and ricochets for up to 3 seconds to the next closest targets to create a chain of electric damage.

    Toxin:
    ⁃ Elemental Damage: 170
    ⁃ Crit Chance: 10%
    ⁃ Crit Multiplier: 2.0
    ⁃ Status Chance: 20%
⁃ Normal Shot: Continuous Laser Beam which can stack Toxin-based DoT if applied on target.
⁃ Charged Shot: Long-Range Laser Beam which leaves behind Toxic mist, dealing Toxin
damage and slowing targets in range.

Adjusting the Mahou becomes more advanced once you start adding elemental combo mods to the gun.

First, It is encouraged to add elemental combos to the Mahou for added effects to the Basic Firing Modes. If you desire added Corrosive damage, it will be added to all of the four elemental shots, especially if you want to add another separate elemental combo such as Blast damage. However, the Mahou has another trick up its sleeve: the highest-damage Elemental Combo will replace one of two of the designated charged shots in the Basic Firing Mode with the Combo Charged Shot.

These additional charged shots are as follows:

    Radiation:
    ⁃ Combined Base Damage: 345
    ⁃ Status: 20%
⁃ Charged Shot: Five spiral beams with a White overtone which ricochet off of surfaces for 5 seconds, and inflicts Radiation status to every target in the line of fire.

    Magnetic:
    ⁃ Combined Base Damage: 335
    ⁃ Status: 30%
⁃ Charged Shot: Anti-Matter Sphere with Blue overtone travels to the closest target, implodes. Damage strips shields and magnetizes Ferrite and Alloy armor to draw in all enemies from up to 10 meters into the vortex. Drains 25 energy upon detonation.

    Blast:
    ⁃ Combined Base Damage: 335
    ⁃ Status: 30%
⁃ Charged Shot: Anti-Matter Sphere with Copper overtone travels to the closest target, explodes, and damages all enemies from up to 10 meters. Targets are knocked off their feet, even ragdolled. Drains 25 energy upon detonation.

    Gas:
    ⁃ Combined Base Damage: 340
    ⁃ Status: 20%
⁃ Charged Shot: Long-Range Laser spray with a Green overtone; fires with a 90-degree cone spread that leaves behind a volatile Mist, with a moderate chance to inflict Gas status.

    Corrosive:
    ⁃ Combined Base Damage: 345
    ⁃ Status: 30%
⁃ Charged Shot: Long-Range Laser Blast with a Yellow-Grey Overtone; fires with a flat, horizontal 90-degree cone spread with a moderate chance to inflict punch-through and inflict Corrosive status.

    Viral:
    ⁃ Combined Base Damage: 335
    ⁃ Status: 15%
⁃ Charged Shot: Anti-Matter Sphere with Purple-Red overtone travels to the closest target. Projectile explodes, then multiplies continuously for up to 5 seconds into multiple Plasma Spheres, dealing Viral damage to all nearby targets from up to 10 meters. Drains 25 energy upon detonation.

The Mahou never reveals its secrets, Tenno. Are you prepared to put on a spectacular show?

Feel Free to give me your comments and suggestions below! I’m open to any welcome additions to this Fan Concept, and remember to be constructive!

  10. +1 from me, bro.

Although I'd like to see the Alt-Fire have an added Magnetic Proc, Magnetic Damage still needs some work to make it more reliable against anything that isn't corpus.

Also, I just figured out the meaning to the name of the gun. You clever mothertrucker, you. :'D
