  1. Concerning reactors/shields/engines.

I get the idea behind random stats, we are after all salvaging technology that's been degraded by hundreds of years and then inexpertly patched (with sigma reactors representing a balanced design based on the best modern tenno technology, from either new or scavenged components).

However, if this is the case, shouldn't we be able to cannibalize components of the same type to get our own items closer to the maximum possible output (topping out at maybe 90% of maximum output)? So if I have a Mk III Vidar reactor I should be able to cannibalize another MkIII Vidar reactor to boost either avionic or flux output and getting it closer to the ideal maximum output?

  2. I would love it if it was possible to adjust the lighting over these stations, because a lot of the time colour combinations that look stunning when you outfit the frame look really different (and not so awesome) in practice.

Fashionframe is important to me, and probably a few other warframe players, and it would really help if it was possible to adjust the lighting both to reflect how it looks in light/shadows but also how it would look on different tilesets (Mars, Europa, Grineer Galleon etc).

  3. I certainly can't afford to pay 50 mil to decorate my orbiter and my Primed mods have, with a few exceptions, remained at lvl 8 for months because that's the cost-effectivness I can afford atm.

And there are 6 components. 150 million (or 750 High risk index runs, my brain can only handle 3-4 per day) is absolutely gittasticly ludicrous. I have real-life obligations and if something requires the requivalent of working an entire year to unlock I'm just going to skip it entirely. 24 million in total would probably be the max pain tolerance level, because there are absolutely no intermediate rewards to the spaceship grind (unlike the focus system) and spending a month* on the project would be grindtastic enough.

*That's a month if I don't do anything I consider fun in warframe. The Index is not fun.

    1. The credit cost of the railjack is pathetically low. I would've preferred if it cost 25-50 mil per component, and I don't even have that many credits... Honestly, we're building a m-fing spaceship, not purchasing "Prime Pedestals" I don't understand how that concept seems to keep alluding so many players.

I'm a semi-casual player (with about 1500 hours in the game). 25 mil is probably my total credit income in 3 months, and that's if I do more Index than I usually do (25 mil is approximately 125 index runs). So your suggestion is IMHO pretty ludicrous, especially since Warframe should be a game that's accessible not just to the veterans but new players as well. A railjack should be accessible to someone that has only played the game for 3 months if they put a bit of time into it. A total of 150 mil would be a year-long grind for a lot of people.

    P.S: We're not building a railjack. We're repairing one.

Wait till you fight something that has a lot of health, when you try this weapon in Arbitrations or Long Survival/ESO it starts to become very apparent that the gun is not going to cut it.

The Akarius suffers a bit agaisnt high levels, but a properly built Acceltra just mows things down in ESO.

  6. The Akarius I can kind of understand that the ammo count feels low (although the Max ammo mod fixes that issue. With 3.5 reserve mags you're fine except at very high levels).

But the Acceltra. I've never had any ammo problems with it since it deals so much damage to so many enemies with a single mag. Whenever I need to reload there is always more ammo around to pick up. The low ammo count does mean that I need to keep moving (it's not the right weapon if you just want to be a turret), but moving is kind of the point with these weapons.

  7. My suggestions for nightwave:

    1. Challenges should follow a few rules:
    a. Don't make it weird or griefable. 60 minute survival is fine. 60 minutes without using lifesupport means: a. you basicly have to include Nekros (I don't know if there are other farmframes that boost the number of life support drops). b. Someone can sabotage it too easily if they want to be a griefer. "Oh look. 55 minutes. I'm just gonna pop this life support pod"
b, Include challenges that allows people to solve them multiple ways. Like "Collect X syndicate medallions" or "open X number of Sabotage Caches" instead of "complete X number of Syndicate missions" or "Complete X number of sabotages". It means that people have a choice. "Do I want to run these missions fast and pick up whatever I can find?" or "Do I want to be a completionist and find everything in a mission".
    c. Don't require people to invest too much time. IMHO a weeks worth of Nightwave content should be completable in about 3-6 hours spread out over 3 nights (at most) or "At most one dedicated evening and 2 "off time sessions". If it requires someone to log in and do 40 minutes of content 5 nights in a week (just for one challenge) it's too much/often.
    d. Don't include too much of one type of content per week. Never "90% of this XP requires Orb vallis/PoE roaming". IMHO a good thing about alerts was that it required different things.

    2. It would be really nice if there was a progress bar
I think one reason why people are stressed out about missing that 5000 point challenge is that they don't know how much XP they will need to get all the fixed rewards.
A dual progress meter that say "X% of the time available on this challenge has passed" and "You have X% of the XP required to get all fixed rewards". Which means that you can see if you're ahead or behind on the curve.
People should easily assured that it's OK to miss this or that Elite challenge. Or "It's OK to relax this week", because you're still ahead of the curve.

I'm a pretty chill guy who enjoys adventure, nature and travelling.
I've recently been on a journey of self-discovery which has given me new insight into myself; I find that while my work is all about helping others in need and proving strong confict resolution I find that I don't get a lot of opportunities to really get to know others.

I'm looking for someone that can get through my bubble and warm up my heart.

Yeah. I was comparing fire rate vs damage, and i noticed that the slower firing harder hitting builds for rattleguts actually do more damage per second, math-wise. Maybe i'll make a combo crit/status gun like the akstilettos. Because I absolutely love the sound the rattleguts makes.

If you don't count the reload the Lovetap does slightly more DPS than the haymayker, so it's a matter of personal preference between those two. With the Rattleguts I would only use the Ramble or Gibber if I wanted to make a Corrosive status hose. And it's a really good at that too.

  10. An ungilded rattleguts is pretty bad.
A gilded rattleguts is one of the best autopistols in the game. Easily equivalent to Akstiletto prime or stubba.

Rattleguts+Lovetap+Killstream for a build that with Lethal Torrent has a lot of dakka and a crazy crit ratio. It's status isn't bad either.

  11. The easiest way to make a new bent blade is to use thin strips of wood (3mm thick, or about 1/8th of an inch) and then glueing them together with slow drying lamination glue, then bend them to shape using an improvsed bending mold, clamping 'em, letting them set and after that sandpapering the item to the shape you want. You'll need thin strips, slow drying lamination glue, A couple of clamps, a big board that has enough surface that it can hold the shape you want the strips to take once done and maybe 10 really big nails.

    1. Draw the curve you want on the plank. Hammer down maybe 4 nails on that inner curve. Hammer down one nail on the outer curve near the bottom of the shape.

    2. Soft Glue the laminates together. This has to be done quickly so that none of the glue hardens before you start bending.

    3. Put the laminates against the inner curve, clamp the starting end and slowly bend them to conform with the desired shape. As each part of the laminate bends to the desired shape, put down a nail to lock them in place until the entire thing is shaped to your desire. put down a few clamps to keep them sealed.

    4. Leave it to dry for several days.

    5. Use large grain sandpaper (optionally you can wittle away undesired parts of the shape to speed up the process) to get roughly the shape you want. Then as you've achieved roughly the final shape you start to use finer and finer grain sandpaper to get a nice finished surface.

    6. Put on whatever surface finish you want. Ie, Paint, oil or varnish it.

  12. I'm just getting kinda freaked out by the guys introduced as the friendly faction for Fortuna.

Yep. Those are human bodies. Yep. That's a human child with seemingly its head intact.
Nope. That's not enough room for a human brain inside that robotic skull, and no other place where the brain could be stored/protected.

Does that mean once a person reachers adulthood he/she is ritually murdered, has her/his brain removed and replaced with a robotic brain personality (in the best case based on the human mind that was the original inhabitant of the body) which then uses the body as a meat-puppet and source of future meat-puppets (and possibly also as future templates for AI brain constructs)?

P.S: Now some people might ask "Why are you being so gruesome Fiendishrabbit? What's wrong with you for thinking like this?", and my answer to that is "If it's true it's horrifying. They're basicly robotic versions of the Headcrab zombies in Half-life".

  13. I can tell you what the Cinematic quests have done for me.
It has made me care about the backstory, the lore, the background for the various factions. And also spawned a burning hatred for the Orokin (Tear down their Empire! Burn it to the ground!).
Without cinematics quest I think the warframe experience would be much more shallow. I wouldn't care so much about the architecture of the game I was playing (the levels, the enemies, the loot, the stylings). I wouldn't appreciate all the other quests so much.
I wouldn't appreciate how foolish Vor (and the other antagonists) is for pursuing Orokin technology, seeing just the power but not the history of suffering, hate and the sheer recklessness of the society that spawned those artifacts. I would look at a level/room and think "Pretty", but I wouldn't appreciate the thought that has gone into that room.

Overall, the cinematic quests are about deepening our connection to the Warframe lore, and it's for me a key thing in enjoying the warframe universe. Sure, a big reason why Warframe keeps going is that the economy feel fair and not "Squeeze de money out of 'im" like so many other F2P games, but I don't think it would have been enough to carry the game so far, for so long.

  14. I guess the Quartakk is a pretty devisive weapon. Which IMHO is good, every game needs a few love/hate weapons. For me the change is a bonus. It gives me better alpha strike and a reason to use Vigiliante fervor. Compared to its original version it has lost a few points of damage (2 points) but gained in accuracy and reload.
As it is it's a long-range boomstick, taking some aspects of snipers and some aspects of shotguns...which makes it quite unique, and gives alpha damage lovers a versatile option that's capable of rocking on the plains and in relatively tight confines.

I kinda like the idea of exploring the idea of Combat Archery, as a means to expand on elements relevant to Warframe.

I mean that the Master Archer (as recorded in old manuscripts) is capable of quickly drawing the bow to deliver lethal damage at different ranges and so what we have in Warframe is really, really close now, and even closer as I've seen shared in the Workshop.

Here is a cliff notes styled video that goes over a few samples of what I mean about how to consider Combat Archery against contemporary (stationary) Archery.[video that has been completely debunked]

Please, do not ever again quote Lars Andersen as a reliable source of information as far as archery is concerned. He's a fair trick shooter, but his scholarship is laughable and his claims have no basis in reality

  16. You know what I want instead of Endo/Forma (The void gives me all the formas I could ever need and I'd need so many credits to use my endo that it's ridiculous)?

I'd want Void Traces. The point where you get all the common rewards is...pretty early in your void career. Then you need to run 3-4 ducat-trash missions for every proper run, which on average is 12+ runs for every Rare prime piece. It wouldn't feel so bad to get a "bummer reward" from a Sortie if it meant cutting down on the void grind.

Then you say "but I already have all the prime weaponry". Well. You're out of luck then because anything but a Riven reward would be a bummer for you.
