    Same problem

GTX 1070, can run this at maxed 144hz 144 fps but after some time it locks down to barely 30 fps and never goes back up, forcing me to restart

Noticed that minimizing the game makes this happen a lot more often/faster.

posted this on reddit and they told me to make sure I only have 1 directx turned on. So I left DX11 only on.  I pretty sure if you have nvidia physx on it may also be a cause but I left it on.  I also turned off nvidia overlay background thingy for games, dont know if that makes a difference.

But ever since I turned off DX10 I havent seen this problem so far.

  3. My computer can run at 100+ fps v-sync off, best graphic settings, but after a long match at 20 waves in like ODD it drops to 32 FPS and dosent go back up. even when the match is over and going back to the ship it stays the same. If I were to stay longer it would go to 20-30 FPS locked.

Restarting the game resets everything. I guess all the particles from the 4 players might cause some local cache to fill up or something, idk.

Ensure that the CPU is the correct size for the socket on that Motherboard. I made that mistake once and had to reorder a new CPU because I got LGA 1151 instead of LGA 2011.

Also, you may find yourself running out of space in only a short time. 240 gb is not very much. I know big SSD's are expensive, but maybe get an HDD to install games on.

And make sure that the OS you have there is a full OS install, not a system builder.

thanks, turns out i got the right one
