Tenno,
It is a Holiday Friday but we're deploying a Hotfix on the Playstation Platform to try and help with stability over the long weekend.
- Fog is now a disabled graphics setting as it is suspected to be related to a graphics crash that is impacting stability in any places where enhanced Fog is placed (Arsenal, Entrati Labs). This is a hard-disable and we will not re-enable it in the game until we've fixed the root of the issue.
Thank you for your patience, Tenno! Apologies for the disruption and instability.

Hey Tenno,
Baro Ki' Teer once again toppled our connectivity infrastructure. This is 2 visits in a row where we have had issues, which we are taking very seriously. We are investigating again what is causing this so we can avoid such disruptions. Sit tight!UPDATE: We are back, but monitoring.

Tenno - our ambitions of delivering Cross Platform Save in 2023 have been a partial success. We are hitting pause. Over 100,000 Tenno have used the feature in the short time that it was open (WOW), but it will not be open over the holidays for stability and technical reasons.
More details on that:
Stability: When we opened the gates on Dec 22, it brought down our operations for just under an hour. We have since fixed this at-scale for now, but we cannot risk it happening again without full-time supervision.
Technical Reasons: On a per-hour basis, we are finding at least 1 major issue being reported that will prevent someone from playing over the holidays. We do not want this to trend in any direction other than down, so we have closed the gates.
We return in January to re-open and re-allow the feature to be even more user-friendly and stable.
Apologies that we could not keep it open, but it will be back!
See you in 2024!- 142

Tenno!
What a year it has been for us - Warframe celebrated its 10 Year Anniversary, which is a milestone I never could have imagined when we first launched. We now say goodbye to 2023, and before we go, it’s time to share some thoughts on the past 12 months. The calendar is harshly reminding us how fast time goes by, and it demands retrospective thoughts so we don’t lose sight or perspective. We go into our 11th year next year - we need to bring some learnings with us!
But first, a question: do you have a favourite Warframe from 2023? Citrine? Kullervo? Dagath? Qorvex? Each of these new Warframes came with an Update of varying complexities and size - we’ve added so much this year and learned even more. Highlights and Lessons were common company with each Update and Hotfix - here are some that stand out to me:
Highlights:
-
Tennocon 2023 in-person!
-
Energizing to have the community rally online and in-person for our reveal of ‘Whispers in the Walls’ and ‘Warframe:1999’. Wow.
-
-
Risks!
-
We tried a lot of new things this year, risky choices in both story and content types. The Duviri Paradox was a risky blend of gameplay choices. Whispers in the Walls flirts with an unexpected future for Warframe - we have a mission to deliver this!
-
-
The Team
-
Working with the Digital Extremes team will be the highlight of my career no matter what happens. The people here care so much and motivate me every day.
-
Lessons:
-
Risks!
-
Risks also have a Lesson attached. We take risks, and sometimes these risks can impact the stability of a release. The Duviri Paradox ultimately suffered from some launch issues. We do not want to always ‘play it safe’, but we will try to balance our ambitions with expected stability.
-
-
Monetization!
-
Our first round of Heirloom packs resulted in heat. We will change the formula and apply lessons for 2024 when it comes to future Heirlooms. More on that next year.
-
Conclusions:
Our philosophy continues to boil down to something simple; to ‘make the game we want to play’. In Duviri, mixing story with ‘rogue-lite’ elements was the flavour we wanted to try. We will continue fixing and polishing this content. In Dagath, ‘Quality of Life’ was the mandate, with Naberus flavours in the package. And of course, with Whispers in the Walls, the mission was clear: begin the future of Warframe’s major story.
Enjoy Whispers in the Walls & Operation: Gargoyle’s Cry over the Holidays.
Forever grateful, Tenno.

P.S Gauss Prime will be the first major Update you see in January, see you then!

Hi Tenno!
We mentioned on Devstream #174 that we are considering doing something for newer players that want to play the latest Quest in our next Update on Day 1: A Story-Skip Pack. You can see the conversation in all its rawness in the link!
We are at a point with this idea that we wanted to bring it up on the Devstream to get a conversation started about what this pack could be / shouldn’t be, which brings us to this thread.
Where we are right now:
- Whispers in the Walls has a prerequisite of The New War to access it for narrative & story reasons.
- While we remove grind and barriers with every Update to make the story more streamlined (and will continue this), players interested in accessing this new content day 1 must first complete 10 years of Warframe before they can dive in. This is a barrier to many people that we’re trying to provide options around. Our goals:
- Allow players to use Platinum to buy a pack that unlocks & completes the replayable Quests required to access Whispers in the Walls -- either purchasing it themselves or receiving it as a gift from a friend so they can play together.
- Require Vor’s Prize to be complete so there’s a baseline of game understanding.
- Provide value in this pack by giving gear that would be earned in the course of play so they are ‘ready’ for content at a given level range (i.e Include Endo & Mods in the pack).
- Continue to improve the gameplay path to The New War, as seen in changes with Abyss of Dagath and in future updates (unrelated to Story Skip but important to the conversation overall). Why are we even exploring this?
- Warframe has a decade of content to explore - this is a strength AND a weakness.
- We treat this as a strength because we are prioritizing story content & quests that comes ‘after’ The New War.
-This is a weakness because it can be a time investment that turns people away. A core ‘you can use Platinum to save time’ element is preserved in this approach.
There are many opinions on this idea, and we want to be transparent with our community before we consider shipping any iteration of this system. Please use this thread for constructive feedback, so we can read and understand your concerns.Thank you!

Happy Holidays, Tenno!2022 has come to an end - and what a year it has been. A lot has happened this year, some unexpected, and some comfort in the familiar. I’d like to share a quick story about those familiar comforts, then look on to the future.
Just this fall, our half-decade-old office sourdough starter (lovingly named Igor) made its first loaf of bread for members of the DE team after 2 years of dormancy. For 2 years it sat in a safely chilled container as we all adapted to change - remote working, safety precautions, managing childcare, illness, and more. And as fall turned our leaves to reds and golds, Igor was woken up again when some members of the DE team were ready to go back to the office. And we’re so happy he - and the team - are working the way they want. Be it remote, hybrid, or back in the office full time, the end of 2022 is looking very different than the years before it. We’ve had to adapt to so much. But throughout all of it, the community was there to give meaning to our work on Warframe. And as small as it may seem, being able to end the year ripping up a loaf of fresh bread in the office, knowing that Igor is back, was one of the best feelings. Even through enormous change, you can still feel like yourself.
Since February of this year, the new team wondered what to do beyond The New War - what to do with this gift we’d be given of telling more Warframe stories. Warframe, for many, is a comfort. In less than a year, I am very proud of what we’ve accomplished:
- Cross Platform Play
- Angels of the Zariman
- Veilbreaker
- Lua’s Prey
- Duviri Tennocon
- Endless Quality of Life improvements
- Over $500,000 in Charitable Donations
We go into 2023 knowing we’ve got to work on some very important things: Warframe’s 10 Year Anniversary. The Duviri Paradox. We’ll take this holiday break to rest-up before 2023 comes knocking, and we’ll answer ready to bring weird, fun, and distinctly Warframe updates to the new year.
Break some delicious bread with friends, family, or the comfort of your own thoughts, and have a lovely Holiday, Tenno.
We all lift together.

Tenno,
For over 10 years I’ve been writing posts to you. I’ve always called you Tenno. That will never change. Other things, though, are changing. We’re in a new chapter of Warframe. I’ve always written from the perspective of someone that has been a steadfast believer in community as a core part of what makes Warframe great. And that belief will stay with me now that I get to work closer with the developers that have made everything possible. If the community has always been the heart of Warframe, the developers have been the soul.
It is an honor, and an emotional one at that, to be a part of Warframe’s future in the Creative Director role. Even more of an honor is being able to do it with members of the team growing into roles that form Warframe’s new leadership. You know some of this team already, and there are many new faces behind the scenes. They are wonderful people who I deeply respect, and as we work through the transition I know you’ll feel the same.
As for the Digital Extremes team moving on to our incredible second project, Soulframe, they’ve not gone far. I’ll miss many of them on the Warframe Devstream couch, but I’m excited for the next generation of folks that will be blinded by our studio lights. I hope to make them proud, and bother them frequently with my Fashion Frame choices. Nothing can stop me now.
How lucky are we that both Science Fiction & Fantasy will now exist under one roof. Envoys & Tenno, the future is bright.See you soon,

Update 31: The New War
Open Letter From the Developers:
The New War has arrived. This Cinematic quest has come together from all of our team working from our homes across the world, and we’re bringing it to yours. Perhaps for some the wait has been long, years for some veteran Tenno, but it ends today.
A lot has happened following the initial anticipation for ‘The New War’ in 2018 with our first teaser trailer. Over the course of the years, we’ve had events to move the story along (with some cryptic hints)… and then lockdown happened, which truly set us back a year. This is not an exaggeration or an excuse, it is a fact that bears mentioning. We intended to ship the cinematic quest experience much earlier, our own delays and then the world’s delays got in the way of that, but it’s finally here.
Despite the wait, what hasn’t changed is our unquenchable desire to surprise our players and tell your story. The story of the Tenno.
The New War represents the biggest undertaking in the history of Digital Extremes, as well as a new progression point for our Tenno. It has been many years since there was a clear story point that a Tenno could reach. From ‘just get to the Second Dream’ to ‘make sure you’re done the Sacrifice’, we now have that firm goal: wage The New War. This journey will take you several hours, and is one you will not be able to turn back on once you've started, so make sure you are prepared!
The New War is here. The stage is set for the future. Once you’ve finished, join us in 2022 for what comes next for Warframe in a post New-War world…
Thank you for your patience and kindness, Tenno.
SPOILER POLICY
This quest has significant Spoilers for Warframe and its future. Please let all Tenno experience it at their own pace, and be kind. Use liberal spoiler tags if you wish to talk about it, and do not ruin the experience for someone else. Content Creators should clearly label spoiler content and use spoiler-free thumbnails.
The Quest can be discussed in our temporary Sub Forum: https://forums.warframe.com/forum/1782-the-new-war/
NEW QUEST - THE NEW WAR
We are seasons, all of us.
Growing in the light, fading in the dark.
At once the same, yet… ever changed.
Prepare yourself, Tenno. The New War is here and no one is safe. Old enemies have returned to the Origin System… will the factions unite against Ballas, Erra, and the advancing Sentients, or will they buckle under the weight of a full-scale invasion?
Players can prepare for The New War quest in the following ways:
Prerequisites
-
Have “Prelude to War” complete
-
We have renamed the former “The New War’ Codex section to “Prelude to War”, players must have this complete to participate in The New War Quest.
-
-
Own a Necramech
-
Necramechs can be earned by playing Deimos content or bought in the Market for Platinum.
-
-
Own a Railjack
-
A Railjack can be earned by completing the Rising Tide quest or bought in the Market for Platinum.
-
The New War will take several hours to complete and will prevent normal Warframe activities from taking place for the duration of the quest. Plan accordingly!
Access to your loadouts will be limited. We encourage you to not only prep your Warframe, Necramech, Operator and Railjack Loadouts but also your Fashion Frame. And as always: CRANK THAT AUDIO!!
You may notice your Operator sounds a bit different while playing The New War Quest. We hope you enjoy the updated Operator voices. Pre and Post-New War Operator voices will be the familiar ones you’re accustomed to.
Additionally, a new Accessibility setting has been added titled 'Hold Button for Struggle Action'. This allows you to choose either 'Hold' or 'Tap' when confronted with a struggle context action, where typically mashing of a button would be requested. We recommend that you put this setting to your preference before initiating The New War Quest to ensure you have the best experience. Players can turn this on in the Controls options menu at any time in the quest, just above the Archwing section.
A significant amount of effort has gone into leveraging new graphics technologies for the levels seen in The New War. For PC players we recommend that you set your Graphics Mode to Enhanced for the full experience, if your computer can handle it! (Display tab under Options). The Playstation 5 and XBOX Series X already use this setting.
***You cannot Replay The New War Quest once it has been completed in this Update. It is a potential 2022 addition. Take your time and we hope you enjoy it!
NOTE: There are 5 New Weapons Available after The New War. We will not be denoting them here for spoilers, but seek them out once you’ve done the Quest! Additionally, some Booster top ups occur at the end of The New War.
NEW WARFRAME - CALIBAN
This is Caliban, the survivor, the adaptor, and heir to the twin kingdoms of biological and Sentient life. Free him from the aberrant path he was consigned to by his creator: Erra.
*Caliban's base Blueprint can be found in the Market with his Component Blueprints acquired via new Bounty missions unlocked after the completion of the New War Quest. Caliban’s Prex Card can also be found after completion of The New War Quest at a new location.
SpoilerCaliban Component Blueprints can be acquired from Narmer Bounties during daylight hours on the Plains of Eidolon, and Orb Vallis during the Night cycle (Night in Cetus means the Bounty is available in Orb Vallis). Narmer Bounties become available after completing The New War quest.
(PASSIVE) ADAPTIVE ARMOR
Allies within Affinity range gain up to 50% resistance to the types of damage they are currently taking.
-
Note that this does not stack additively with the Adaptation mod
RAZOR GYRE
Become a spinning vortex of death. Hold the Attack button (left mouse default) to accelerate the maelstrom, increasing damage or target an enemy by tapping the Attack button (left mouse default) to dash toward them. Hitting enemies inflicted with Sentient Wrath creates a destructive blast.
SENTIENT WRATH
Smash the ground sending out a radial wave of destruction. Those not killed by the initial blast are helplessly lifted into the air, where they take amplified damage for a short time.
*Sentient Wrath is Caliban’s Helminth Subsume ability.
LETHAL PROGENY
Call on Caliban's Sentient aspect to produce up to three Conculyst comrades to fight by his side, and repair his shields.
FUSION STRIKE
Converge three streams of raw energy upon a single point, causing a massive reactive blast. The fallout from the blast will strip the armor and shields from all enemies that touch it.
**Don’t miss Caliban’s Noble & Agile Animations! Featuring our first male-presenting Warframe with a floating animation!
VENATO
Caliban’s signature scythe, forged from a limb wrenched off a fallen Eidolon centuries ago. 50% increased Melee Combo Counter Chance when wielded by Caliban.
NEUROVYRE SYANDANA
A Sentient spinal symbiote that functions as Caliban’s signature Syandana.
SPORAVYRE SUGATRA
A docile Sentient entity that can be used as a weapon decoration.
CALIBAN CRANION HELMET
A fearsome alternative helmet to give Caliban a look he has not worn since the Old War.
POST-NEW WAR VAGUE SPOILERS: Review after completing Quest.
-
Spoiler
-
A new Resource, New Set Mods, a new Amp, and Weapon Blueprints are available in Bounties to those who have completed The New War Quest. This new Resource can also be redeemed for Standing where applicable.
-
As noted already, Caliban’s Component Blueprints are also available in these Bounties.
-
Once you have finished the New War Quest, a new post-quest setting is available on the 'Earth' Region in the Star Chart directly. Don't miss it!
-
Post New-War, new options are available in the Personal Quarters of your Orbiter.

Ivara Prime, Baza Prime, and Aksomati Prime have entered the Prime Vault!
With the Prime Resurgence Event currently running, these Prime items will not be added to this run of the Resurgence schedule as we are not including 2021 Vaulted items in the event.
Prime Resurgence is our first stab at a larger scale Event to the Vaulting program in lieu of The New War. We’ll have lots to review during and after Prime Resurgence ends to dictate how we move forward! If you’re unfamiliar with the Prime Resurgence Event, you can learn more about it in our official Dev Workshop.
With this Vaulting comes the shift of the following Syndicate Sacrifices:
-
Replaced Perrin Sequence Sacrifice of Baza Prime Stock with Panthera Prime Receiver
-
Replaced Perrin Sequence Sacrifice of Ivara Prime Systems with Octavia Prime Chassis
-
Replaced Red Veil Sacrifice of Ivara Prime Chassis with Nezha Prime Chassis
Riven Disposition Changes:
As with each round of Prime Access come updated Riven Disposition numbers. See the full Disposition changes on the official Warframe Forums.
If you already wield the power of these Primes or have their Relics in your Inventory, they will remain after the Vaulting.
Legendary Rank 2 Notice:
-
While we have enough content to achieve Legendary Rank 2 in this Update, we are postponing the ability to perform the Test until 2022. This decision was not made lightly, we simply did not feel we could perform necessary testing to release it in this build.

OPTIMIZATIONS:
-
Made micro-optimizations to reduce hitches in DirectX 12 when using the Enhanced Graphics Engine.
-
Optimized severe stutters that could occur in DirectX 12 on PC in some situations.
-
Optimized the Railjack HUD.
-
Optimized performance related to Noggles.
-
Made multiple micro-optimizations to the memory footprint.
-
Made systemic micro-optimizations to level loading.
-
Optimized several aspects of Transmission updating.
-
Made system micro-optimizations for PC, Xbox, and Playstation.
-
Optimized small stutters that could occur in DirectX 12 on PCs with fast SSDs.
GENERAL CHANGES:
-
We’ve changed the “SKIP CINEMATIC” confirmation when playing Quests to a “HOLD TO CONFIRM” instead of clicking OK. This is aimed to save players (like myself) who accidentally skip cinematics from button mashing, which could heavily hinder the Quest storyline experience.
-
This change does not affect regular gameplay cinematic skipping (mission fly-in / drop-down, etc).
-
-
Companions will now receive 100% of the Affinity from kills you make. This matches shared Affinity functionality (you receive 100%, Companion receives 100%).
-
Moved the Ghoul Bounty Aya drop to the Final phase as opposed to being in a majority of the Phases. As indicated here.
-
Updated the Operator Voice icons to better reflect their titles.
-
You may have already noticed this upon login, but emails displayed on the Login screen will now always be censored, regardless of having Creator Mode enabled or not. Your email will display only the first and last two letters before the domain, with the letters in between censored as asterisks. Additionally, we have updated the login email lock icon hover text to read ‘Unlock and clear Email’ to clarify its function.
-
Creator Mode still censors your email to be all asterisk.
-
The email domain is not censored by default, so if you wish to hide your entire email, please use the Creator Mode toggle in your Gameplay settings.
-
-
Moved the K-Drive Race objective markers down closer to the actual K-Drive instead of floating many metres above.
-
Increased back away distance for Grineer Lancers finding cover, so that they can shoot for longer.
-
Enemies are now more likely to throw grenades at a target in cover.
-
Removed Tenet Livia, Primary Kitgun beam-based weapons, Cadus, and Volnus Prime from the Conclave.
-
These new weapons slipped into the Conclave without a proper balance pass.
-
-
Set max instances on Mirage’s Eclipse loops so they don't multiply out of control when Hall of Mirrors is used.
-
Adjusted the Grineer Rampart context action offset to prevent clipping with the mesh.
-
AI cover positions have been tweaked to be more consistent.
-
Brachiolysts will now take damage when disarmed instead of equipping electroprods.
-
Decals on Harrow’s Condemn now uses Deferred Rendering for better performance.
-
Made slight adjustments to the Spritsail Prime Chest Plate when equipped on Nidus.
-
Rescue Targets are now far more unlikely to go after an AFK player over an active player.
-
Juno Geminex Moas' projectiles' AOE damage now respects line-of-sight and won't deal damage through cover.
-
Changed the Dojo Orokin Lab description to "Void focused research" to remove outdated Solar Rails indication.
-
The Quest Codex section is now ordered based roughly on intended order of progression! The Quests you have yet to complete will remain at the top of the list for ease of access.
-
Shading improvements have been made to older hair materials to add more depth!

Update 30.9.0: Prime Resurgence
A Prime Resurgence is upon us…
Coming November 16 for a limited time, we are launching Prime Resurgence! This event provides Tenno with a schedule of Vaulted Prime releases. The impending War grows near day by day, Tenno. A new (yet familiar face to some?), Varzia Dax, has an opportunity to fortify your Arsenal with Prime items that have long been Vaulted.
We first announced that we are looking at running a Prime Vault event of sorts on Devstream 156 - and Prime Resurgence is just that! It is our first stab at offering an alternative to Prime Vault: A one-stop shop to gain access to Vaulted Prime content and Relics with a fully transparent schedule to allow players time to plan.
Varzia, a Dax from the Old War, will appear in Maroo’s Bazaar November 16th on all Platforms with a slew of Prime goods for you to obtain. You can either purchase Relics from her Wares with Aya (free path) or gain instant access to Prime items and bundles with Regal Aya (purchase path).
What are Aya and Regal Aya?
These are the currencies that are used to purchase items from Varzia!
Aya is an earned currency that is your free path to gaining Prime items through the in-game Relic system. It is a resource that is exchanged for Void Relics and other non-premium items available in Varzia’s wares. Aya is found in Missions (The Void or Bounties) or has a chance of appearing in Relic Packs available for purchase in the Market for Platinum or Syndicate Offerings for Standing.
Regal Aya is a premium currency (similar to Platinum, but not tradeable) that gives you instant access to Prime Warframes, Weapons, Accessories, and Bundles available in Varzia’s wares. It can be purchased in the Market or online storefronts.
We have an extremely thorough Dev Workshop / FAQ explaining how this Event came to be, including the introduction of Regal Aya. Simply put, The Prime Vault program has undergone many changes over the years, all driven by player feedback and requests.
The theme over these changes has been to offer more choice and quicker access to Vaulted Prime rotations. Which is where Prime Resurgence comes in. Please read our Dev Workshop for more information, otherwise enjoy the largest Prime Vault opening of all-time, with a significantly streamlined process for Devs and Players alike! Please see our Prime Resurgence Workshop for more information & FAQ in the official Warframe Forums: https://forums.warframe.com/topic/1285421-prime-resurgence-dev-workshop-faq/
PRIME RESURGENCE RUNS NOVEMBER 16, 2021 - JANUARY 25, 2022!
NEW PLAYER / EARLY PLAYER EXPERIENCE CHANGES
Introducing the ‘TENNO GUIDE”!
Added a new UI notification when inside the Orbiter that is a persistent reminder for Quests, to help guide new Tenno to their next steps. A lot of new players have felt lost once they finish Vor’s Prize, and this persistent reminder will show them what to do next! This can be disabled at any time in the menus under Options > Interface > Show Tenno Guide!
Heat Sword Crafting RequirementsWe are changing the crafting requirement for the Heat Sword to require a Neurode rather than a Neural Sensor. Originally, this was meant to incentivize players to explore new nodes, but we want to get better gear in players hands earlier! This change is smaller than most, but meaningful to new players looking to upgrade their melee early on.
Reduced Crafting Times for the Rising Tide Quest
In March 2021, we made Railjack more accessible by reducing the crafting resources and the time it took to build your Railjack. Now, we will be reducing the crafting times again from 1 hour to 1 minute per part. As Railjack becomes a larger part of the game, we hope this change will allow new players to swiftly complete Rising Tide, and prepare their Railjack for future fights!
Amp Recipe ReductionsThis change is two fold: reduced crafting costs for Amp parts, and reduced Standing cost for purchasing parts. Our goal here is to make constructing an Amp more accessible to players by reducing resource demands. This is rooted firmly in the role upgrading your Amp plays in performing well in main quests like The Sacrifice as well as engaging in Focus Tree related content. Here are the changes below:

Sentient Core Standing + Blueprint Changes (NEW since the initial Dev Workshop)
In addition to the already noted changes to Amps and Ore/Gems, we’ve included an increase to Sentient Core Standing return and also modified the Exceptional Sentient Core Conversion Blueprint. Those starting out on their Quills journey should find this allows them to progress through the Syndicate faster to reach the higher tier Offerings.
Increased Standing return from Sentient Cores:
-
Intact Sentient Core Standing return from 100 to 250
-
Exceptional Sentient Core Standing return from 500 to 750
-
Flawless Sentient Core Standing return from 1200 to 1500
Exceptional Sentient Core Conversion Blueprint Changes:
-
Exceptional Sentient Core Conversion Blueprint now transforms 10 Intact Cores into 10 Exceptional Cores, as opposed to 2:2.
-
Duration to Craft and cost to Rush have been halved: down to 5 mins and 5 Platinum respectively.
-
The Radian Sentirum and Heart Nyth values remain as 1 each!
-
Players who had an Exceptional Sentient Core Conversion Blueprint crafting will get a one-time gift of 10 Exceptional Cores in exchange for only spending 2 Intact Cores. Bank error in your favor!
Necramech Drop Rate & Crafting Cost Changes
Necramechs have started to play a vital role within the System - from being part of the Railjack experience, to a great tool in our Open Worlds. While their firepower provides an advantage, the time and resource investment required to obtain one has shown to be a deterrent to newer players. As The New War approaches, we aim to alleviate that initial friction and provide an easier path of obtainment.
Enemy Necramechs now have a 50% chance to drop a Necramech part across the board, evenly distributed. The battle required to defeat an enemy Necramech is not easy nor quick. This increased chance of getting a Necramech part helps to reduce the time investment needed in order to gather the mandatory parts to build your first Necramech.
Additionally, we’ve halved most of the Mining/Fishing part costs for crafting the Voidrig as this is the ‘first’ Necramech players see in the Heart of Deimos quest, so we want to make acquiring it a little easier. Bonewidow has been left as is as a longer-term goal.
The changes are:
Voidrig Casing:
Adramal Alloy: From 120 to 60
Stellated Necrathene: From 16 to 8
Venerdo Alloy: From 40 to 20
Voidrig Engine
Tempered Bapholite: From 100 to 50
Biotic Filter: From 2 to 1
Voidrig Capsule:Spinal Core Section: From 30 to 15
Marquise Veridos: From 20 to 10
Voidrig Weapon Pod:
Biotic Filter: From 6 to 3
Thaumic Distillate: From 80 to 40Charc Electroplax: From 45 to 25
Howl of The Kubrow Quest Changes
For new players, we are changing the Kubrow Egg drop rate to be 100% from the first Kubrow Den and setting the Quest to Solo mode only. This change will only affect New Tenno playing the Quest for the first time, and does not affect Kubrow Egg drop rates outside of the Quest. We are also shortening the Survival mission within the Quest from 10 minutes to 5 minutes.
Additional New Player Experience Changes
-
Removed Ceres to Jupiter Task of defeating a Prosecutor to reduce initial friction and get you along your way faster. Prosecutors could take a long time to spawn if you were unlucky.
-
Increased the window of time where you can deal damage to the Vay Hek Propaganda Drone during his boss fight from 8 seconds to 10 seconds. Newer players who attempted the Vay Hek boss fight right when it was available to them found this phase more difficult than it really needed to be.
-
Updated the “The New Strange” objective for Synthesis Targets to make it less confusing. It now reads “Sanctuary Target” as opposed to a specific enemy type which could come across confusing.
-
Tyl Regor’s Shield now has a Shield Regeneration delay of 2 seconds, compared to how it instantly regenerates currently, to provide newer players more of a fighting chance.

*Purchase from the Steel Meridian or Cephalon Suda for Syndicate Standing!
FORMA MASTERY RANK CHANGES:
When we first introduced Forma years ago, Warframe was a much smaller game. We had fewer weapons, fewer Warframes, and way fewer Mods. As players continue their Forma journey, there’s often discussions on doing a Quality of Life (QOL) pass to the way things work with our favourite Golden Puzzle Piece.
We want your Mastery Rank to be considered when using Forma to establish a baseline power level for your playable characters!
What does that mean?
If a Mastery Rank 30 player uses a Forma, they won’t have to re-unlock any Abilities (or their Ranks) on a given item! Yes, they’ll still need to level the gear itself to apply another Forma but, depending on your Mastery Rank, you can have access to more (or all) Abilities on your unranked gear! This achieves our goal of keeping Forma essential to build customization, but allowing players with higher Mastery Ranks a more convenient experience.
Right now, using a Forma on a Warframe (or Archwing/Necramech) requires you to start from 0 when it comes to Abilities you can use. Furthermore, you only get the first Rank of your First ability. Take Valkyr for instance. You install a Forma, and you’re back to only casting unranked Rip Line!
Our change will make it so your Mastery Rank impacts how much you have unlocked by default on Forma use. Following our Valkyr example, with this change, a Mastery Rank 10 player would have all of her abilities unlocked upon applying a Forma to her, albeit not at their full strength!
This ranking process is something players already experience in game - you know by the time you’ve levelled your Valkyr on Hydron to 10, you unlock Hysteria. We are making your Mastery Rank ‘match’ those milestones, so to speak, with the end goal being a Mastery Rank 30 player can use Forma without ever having to be locked out of Abilities. Simply put, the higher your Mastery Rank, the higher the baseline of your gear when using Forma.
*New additions since the Dev Workshop:
Post Dev Workshop feedback and continued conversations have added on another related change to reaching Mastery Rank 30+:
Sorties and Arbitrations now allow Mastery Rank 30+ players that have put at least 1 Forma into their Warframe to bypass the "Rank 30 Warframe" requirement.
NYX ABILITY CHANGES:
Mind Control
The thinking behind these changes are fueled by the amount of investment towards this single Target, and having that pay off more in your favor.
-
Base 500 percent Damage increase to the Target itself that you then feed into with your weapons DPS.
-
Increased base Duration to 45 seconds at maximum rank.
-
Mind Controlled Target now teleports to keep up! This acts similar to other allies (Wukong’s twin, etc).
Psychic Bolts
While this change is minor and provides more of a visual cue, the goal here was to provide a better presentation / feedback when Psychic Bolts connect with a Target.
-
Added a minor one-time stagger to targets bit by Psychic Bolts.
Absorb
-
Increased base Range to 15m at max rank.
-
Scaling Range is now capped at 50m (solving for an exploit), ensuring Damage is balanced by Energy Capacity.
-
Nyx’s Assimilate Augment now allows you to roll, similar to Mesa’s Waltz!
-
Nyx’s Absorb stat screen now shows max explosion radius value.
-
Absorbs additive weapon damage bonus now applies to the player's equipped Melee weapon.
-
Minor tweak to the GPU particles to clean them up!

DECORATION MODE CHANGES - BASIC AND ADVANCED MODE:
Warframe Decoration tools are all about customization. We value that quality. The learning curve for new players, however, can be pretty steep. Tools like Surface Snapping and Rotation Axis are ideal for ambitious decorators with particular visions for their Orbiters and Dojos, but they can overwhelm Tenno new to decorating.
We aim to address that difference! The UI improvements and more discussed below include improvements for new and experienced decorators alike.
Introducing Basic and Advanced Mode
To accommodate different approaches to decorating, we’ve created two distinct modes. The UI team has also done a polish and pezaz pass on decoration menus!
Basic Mode only offers essential tools: Place, Move, Remove, Duplicate, Rotate, and Scale
-
The new Help window describes Camera Movement, Capacity Cost, and Advanced Mode.
-
This mode is intended for new players and Tenno who just want to quickly place decorations to give rooms a bit of flare. It’s introductory and quick to use.
Advanced Mode houses all the customization-focused tools decorators already know and use expertly.
-
Decorators can press Tab any time to switch between Basic Mode and Advanced Mode.
-
This mode is intended for Tenno who are serious about custom decorating. It’s specific and focused.
Controller Binding Changes

New Look
We also refreshed the UI Design overall with this change. Enjoy the new look that improves readability with a Warframe flare!
Rotate Decoration Previews
Instead of a static image, the Personal Decorations menu will show 3D decoration previews that allow decorators to rotate decorations before placing them. Right now, this feature is only available for Personal Decorations.
All Decorations Are Now Scalable
In the past, only Dojo Decorations have been scalable. You can now scale Personal Decorations too! From Dojos to Orbiters, Tenno can customize decoration sizes.
Dojo Improvement: Introducing the Arrival Gate
You now control where Tenno spawn in your Dojo! Place an Arrival Gate and Tenno will appear in that very spot when they visit. Dojos without an Arrival Gate will default to the current spawn system.
General Additions:-
Added new animations to Wisp and Titania’s move set when using Gunblades.
-
Lavos, Sevagoth, Xaku, Yareli, Baruuk, Gauss, Hildryn, Wisp, Protea and Grendel are now available and can be used in Frame Fighter once their Fragments have been found/Scanned.
-
Added sneezing animations to Companions - time to start carrying around tissue, Tenno!
-
Added Gilded icon to Amp Inventory description if it has been Gilded.
General Changes:
-
Renamed Gunblade Heavy Attack from Spinning Uppercut to Full Bore.
-
When dragging around Mod Configs to swap (i.e Swapping Mod Config A to Config B), we now swap applied Helminth abilities as well to support the Modding of a given Helminth choice.
-
Wisp players who have the Fused Reservoir Augment equipped will now start missions with the selection on the Fused Reservoir.
-
When a player redeems a code in the Market, we now show more robust icons to depict the item you’re redeeming (if applicable).
-
Sitting in the Helminth chair with a Warframe you haven’t Subsumed yet will now move that option to the top of the list.
-
We now show you ‘Invasion’ progress at the End-of-Mission screen when you’re completing an invasion (i.e 2 of 3 fights for Corpus complete)!
-
Changed the description of Galvanized Aptitude to better reflect its current function (which clarifies that area of effect damage is not included)
-
... BUT WAIT! We want to explain why because it’s very important to us that everyone understands where we are coming from with our current design mindset. AoE Weapons are the dominant ones by every usage metric. We see this day after day. Having this bonus apply to the AoE instance felt dangerously close to a myopic choice concerning powering up player Arsenals that simply do not need it. This mod never worked on AoE, and the description now explains that to avoid confusion. We understand those seeking a different outcome will disagree with this choice, but ultimately we are not willing to further bolster AoE at this time. This is due to the increasing difficulty in creating content that serves to challenge the Tenno.

Dropping a quick note here to report that we had a power interruption where some of our hardware is located. This caused a 31 minute disruption in service, but everything is back online and operational now.

Gara Prime: Update 30.3.0
You will notice the download size is 2.2 GB. There’s a few reasons why. First, it’s a Mainline. If you don’t know what that means, it’s when we deploy all pending changes to the game in a big batch. Second, it’s jammed with Quality-of-Life that is listed below for you to enjoy.
GARA PRIME HAS ARRIVED!
GARA PRIME
Continue the legend of the glass-armored warrior Gara. Dominate the battlefield with the power and purity of crystal.
ASTILLA PRIME
Loose explosive glass slugs that tear through enemies with Gara’s signature shotgun. Presented here in its spectacular Prime form.
VOLNUS PRIME
The glorious original Orokin casting of Gara’s signature glass hammer. Deceptively light and swift, while remaining lethally effective.
Get the newest Prime gear with Gara Prime Access and Prime Accessories here: https://www.warframe.com/prime-access
Wukong Prime, Zhuge Prime, and Ninkondi Prime have entered the Vault!
With this Vaulting comes the shift of the following Syndicate Sacrifices:
-
Replaced Perrin Sequence Sacrifice of Wukong Prime Chassis with Atlas Prime Chassis.
-
Replaced Perrin Sequence Sacrifice of Ninkondi Prime Handle with Baza Prime Stock.
-
Replaced Steel Meridian Sacrifice of Zhuge Prime String with Pangolin Prime Handle.
If you already wield the power of these Primes or have their Relics in your Inventory, they will remain after the Vaulting.
Riven Disposition Changes:
As with each round of Prime Access come updated Riven Disposition numbers. See the full Disposition changes here:
https://forums.warframe.com/topic/1265139-may-2021-riven-disposition-updates/
PLUS! As an added Gara QoL change, her glass armor no longer disappears during Splinter Storm!
You have requested many times (many, many, times) to have a UI toggle that will give you control over whether Gara's glass armor parts will "shatter" while using Splinter Storm. You want to use this power all the time, but it makes your warframe look so much less... shiny when you do.
Given how persistent and unified this feedback is, we've decided to simply make this power not remove her armor plates while it is active. Adding a toggle adds significantly more complexity to the code and significantly more chances for things to break than just not having the effect at all.
We hope this change will be appealing to everybody living on the cutting edge of Gara fashion.
Railjack Changes & Fixes:
-
Command Intrinsic Crew Changes & Fixes:
The following changes are a prelude to the release of the Rank 10 Command Intrinsic coming in the Sisters of Parvos Update!-
Added a ‘Contracts’ tab to Ticker's ‘Hire Railjack Crew Members’ in Fortuna.
-
You can also end Contracts with the Crew Members that are not equipped from here.
-
This has been highly requested! You can now review your current Crew Contracts while perusing potential Hires to see what positions you have to fill or who might have to be replaced (get the boot!).
-
-
Converted Kuva Liches can now be used as ‘On Call’ Crewmates.
-

-
Crew Members will now play transmission voice lines whenever they are being customized in the Dry Dock. More personality for your team!
-
Crew Competencies are now visible in the Tactical Map when hovering over Crew Members.
-
This was highly requested to help make an informed decision when swapping Crew roles in the heat of battle.
-
-
Crew Piloting the Railjack will now hold position when you are either in the Archwing Slingshot or using the Forward Artillery.
-
To help players engage their targets, the Pilot will prefer to point the ship at targets that you are aiming at.
-
This is also our first attempt at this function, so some future tweaking is to be expected!
-
-
Crew piloting Railjack will now fly to attack the weak-point marker at the end of Railjack Volatile missions.

-
-
Improved the ‘Abort’ Railjack mission flow by changing and fixing the following:
These changes come after reviewing why Clients in Railjack missions would often find themselves feeling unable to leave after mission completion in public squads. We determined that the language used in these scenarios was unclear/confusing and that there were several other issues related to how rewards were shown in the UI and saved to inventory that we have resolved below!-
‘Abort Mission’ will now update to ‘Leave Mission’ in the pause menu after successfully completing a Railjack mission.
-
It will also prompt a new message that better describes what will occur: “Leave Mission: You will keep mission rewards and XP earned to this point, but will disconnect from your squad. Are you sure you want to leave this mission?” vs. the previous “Abort Mission: You will keep progress but forfeit the completion rewards and bonuses. Are you sure you want to abort this mission?”

New Player Experience Changes:
-
Increased the Daily Standing cap you get before including Mastery, slightly reduced the amount you get from Mastery. All players before MR 30 will have a higher Daily Standing cap than they used to, while players at MR 30 will have the same cap as before.
-
In addition to giving more room for Tenno to get to that final rank with their Syndicates, this will ultimately help reduce the time new players spend ranking up with their chosen Syndicates. Previously, if you were Mastery Rank 10, you would have a daily Standing cap of 16,000. Now, with the changes we’ve made, your daily Standing cap for MR 10 is 21,000.
-
-
The Limbo Theorem and Hidden Messages Quests no longer requires you to finish crafting the Warframe components to move onto the next stage of the Quest. Simply earning the Blueprint is now enough to progress.

We have done update passes on some of the social aspects of Warframe, with particular attention paid to screen reworks for Friends and Clans this time around!
Multiple screens have been refreshed with a new look and certain new functionalities! All of the screens listed below also now all take on your chosen UI theme.
-
‘Junction Tasks’ Screen Changes:
-
Rewards will now automatically scroll across the screen to give you a full preview of what will be earned on successful Junction completion.
-
Each task now has a descriptive blurb to help direct you on how to get started on the task.
-
-
‘Clan’ Screen Changes:
-
Everything is now more neatly displayed on a single screen. Previously tucked away features such as ‘Edit Hierarchies’, ‘View Alliance’, ‘Invite Member’, and ‘Message of the Day’ are now immediately visible and accessible.
-
In addition to your MOTD, you can now also have a much longer Clan and Alliance message displayed below! All display on the right hand side of the Clan screen in the ‘News’ Tab. The option to edit the MOTD and message below is available in this window for those with permissions to do so.
-
Added more Clan information to the screen:
-
Added the total number of Clan members to the screen.
-
Added the ‘Founding Warlord’ to the screen.
-
-
The Alliance Screen has also been reskinned:
-
Added the total number of members to the screen (in addition to the previously live ‘Allies’ count).
-
-
-
‘Friends’ Screen Changes:
-
Everything is now more neatly displayed on a single screen. Previously tucked away features such as ‘Recent Players’, ‘Available Sessions’, and ‘Batch Remove’ are now immediately visible and accessible.
-
Added ‘Recruit Tenno’ option - This will take you directly to the ‘Refer a Friend’ page on the Warframe website to recruit your pals and earn rewards for doing so.

Favoriting Friends will add a star next to their name and will bump them to the top of your lists, both when they are on and offline. If you wish to “Unfavorite” simply right click on their name again and select that option.
-
CHANGES:
-
Added a "To be continued..." label to The New War in Codex if the third entry cinematic has been viewed. The third cinematic entry has also officially been titled “The Maker”.
-
This section now also displays completion state for cinematic entries.
-
-
Added a new dropdown to Quest Codex screen so players can now filter which Quests are displayed (ALL / STORY / SIDE / WARFRAME), ALL is the default option so that players aren't confused as to where all of their Quests went.
-
Removed the ‘BETA’ tag on the ‘Enhanced’ option under ‘Graphics Engine’ Display settings.
-
We’ve been working on this improved graphical mode for quite a while! It’s been available to PC players since last year, and deferred rendering is now the standard for our current-gen console players. At this point we don’t have any reservations in encouraging everybody to try this mode.

-
Redeeming a Promo Code in the ingame Market will now show the claimed items in the success message.
-
Changed the “None” Dojo Backdrop to a default option instead of a Recipe that must be researched.
-
We made this change because “None” is every room’s default when first constructed. We want this option always available instead of requiring more research on the part of Clans who wish to return a room to how it first appeared.
-
This change will deduct 1K Affinity from Clans that completed the research, but it will not affect the tiers of Clans who upgraded to a higher tier using this 1K Affinity.
We will be running a script to refund Clans who spent Credits on “None” Backdrop research.Script run and done!

Let us disable the effect / remove the downside of turret heat on rank 10 gunnery.
It's another Void Radiance situation - I'm not gonna rank it up to 10 since most of the time I find the aim snap annoying, making it overheat my guns faster is the final nail in the coffin.6 minutes ago, Generally_Zod said:Why does a rank 10 intrinsic have a downside to it? That feels like a punishment for having put in all that work, and really doesn't make me want to use that rank at all.
We have shared this feedback with Dev already but the way the new 'Flush Heat Sinks' perk on Rank 9 works + this heat accretion is something we want players to try over the weekend before we change.

Removing Dx10 support accidentally defaulted everyone to using the DirectX 12 Beta! We'll get a fix out soon but you can reset this in the launcher settings if you're having problems.

You may recall our plans to test DTLS in November of last year:
The time has come!
DTLS Roll-Out is here, USE THIS THREAD for reporting problems!
We are testing some new network code out in this Hotfix. Even though we’ve tested it extensively on the Test Cluster we need more coverage!
The primary goal of these changes is to improve networking for Xbox players by replacing some proprietary network code; when these changes make it to Xbox they will enable our automatic proxy service that already helps players with Strict NAT and other network problems on other platforms (this is something we’ve wanted to get to Xbox players for a long time).
The added advantage of this new code is that it should be more secure and more robust on networks that corrupt network packets (we already defend against this to some degree but the new code is more thorough). This won’t make your ping any better but if something is mangling network packets we might be able to avoid it causing bugs in the game.
We’ll be monitoring the roll-out closely and will be able to disable quickly if we encounter problems.
