  1. golden instinct is way better with very limited range. think 30% because it fast to cast when it doesnt find anything and costs no energy. making it very easy to eliminate large part of the maps quickly from potential search space of voca/plume/medallions. think like putting on max narrow minded and spam it like crazy until you get it to activate because it has no casting speed limit on non activatiotion. then when you do get it to activate instead of like 50 meters of searching you have like 25 meters plus some idea of the direction its in. then combine with loot radar to help narrow down where it could be.
  2. honestly. i had a thought of making ever expensive kuva drops from it. like start at 10 for 20k kuva. then go to 11 to 20k kuva 12 to 20k kuva 13 to 20k kuva for like 20 times. or something similar. this discourage massive farming of riven silvers but still allows for some excessive riven silvers to be spent.
  3. you and I must have very different philosophies when it comes to relic farming. step 1. i rarely "hard" farm for particular items. (what does that mean? it means that i rarely i am looking for exactly one particular item at any given time.) (the only exception to this is for prime resurgance due to picking the relics you need with aya) i see running public void fissure, I will often get parts that i need without ever actually running with the intent to get that particular item. or i get ducats. i hardly think oh, i am gonna farm for only for guass prime.(i literally got gauss prime from only public void fissures(nothing recruit chat) this strategy works surprisingly well for many items in the game.(the newer you are the better this is)(for reference i have enough items to be mastery rank 29 and yet still try for a more passive strategy than hard far this strategy is slightly offset by marking vaulted relics(with items needed) as exceptional for later refinement when i either feel like running a bunch or just happening to check out recruit chat. while, i realize you and I might differ in opinions. i find myself surprisingly enjoying the reactant mechanic(i feel like i am collecting more loot!) while many argue that it prevents afk behaivor( i agree) I enjoy the sounds of picking the reactant and then display telling you have opened your relic. personally, i only find it terrible when people refuse to help others with getting reactant(basically starting excavators too fast, running and sitting on extraction asap on capture/exterminate) when it comes to void trace(not reactant) farming, i am also often farming other things. so i will pick my void fissure based on what planets are available plus mission type. i will commonly get some of that in addition to void traces/ducats. this leaves me hardly ever running the same mission type all the time. this means more variety with mission than only capture or exterminate missions(personally these are my least favorite due to people wanting to go so fast that they often leave other people behind.maybe not even intentionally but still) for example i will run survival and try leveling items at the same time. and maybe hoping for certain resource to drop. this means that no matter what i might be my luck in one department(no high ducat items, terrible void trace gain or terrible resource acquire) it often leads to at least one being either decent or amazing. the reason a pity system will likely never be introduced is because of trade chat/prime packs. devs have said that prime packs make them a lot of money. and when it comes to relics. i dont farm them nearly ever. because they drop from nearly every mission in the game. the only exception i can think of is duvuri. however despite all my disagreements with the above i will agree with you on recruit chat could be greatly improved as well as trade chat.
  4. this has always been a problem for me. i dont think i have ever literally ran mission for relics ever even before they added aya. with aya well its kinda of an exception to the rule but i am also doing it for other things as well. (despite joining when plains of eidlon just came out) havent finished all the content there. (completed suprisingly most of fortuna and necralisk already)
  5. i have literally thousands of coprun, pyrotic, ferros, auruon. that are sitting in my account with almost no use. i wouldnt even mind if you had to farm like 100 of them to be helminth food. this is suprisingly not such a problem for some of the other open worlds because there is way to convert almost of the all of the ores to standing in one way or another for fortuna and deimos. i would love to have these be either helminth capable or at least work something like debt bond/token conversion for cetus
  6. its funny to me the people that spend vast amounts of time farming credits or even endo. in both, i can only think of two mission types where you cant receive something that can easily be traded for credits/endo. and that is duvuri and sanctuary onslaught and thats it.
  7. i usually very much dislike pvp modes. in almost every game i play. this includes but not limited to fortnite, cod, league of legends. Dota 2 so if this happens to be one i like then yes i am impressed. (and in fact, i actually had much faster full lobby matching in this mode, then all of the ones i mentioned above) i never suffered terrible jankiness. or extreme lobby wait times. i would agree dedicated servers would solve the issues of host advantage. maybe i just happen to have a lot of players . the main solution i found is using the accessibility feature for enemy highlighting. i just set the enemies to red, at 25 intensity and i could tell at a glance who the enemies was and who wasn't.
  8. originally, i thought it was okay for the resource costs. but putting more thought, i think the biggest problem right now with removal is that its only bile. i think they should do different category of resources for each color. like yellow could stay bile, red could be synthetics, blue could pheremones. and repeat same then with the new colors. it keeps the semi permancy, and resource sink aspects while allowing players to acutally experiment. i dont think DEs intention was a system that actually encouraged you to farm a particular resource just to experiment
  9. use the accessibility feature for enemy highlighting. while i would kind of like the highlighting to be built into the mode. it works well enough that i can easily tell whos, who with it on.
  10. i have always wanted to really try to play pvp. even if only for a few matches. the only reason i didnt play is because no one else did. despite trying recruit chat or clan members the snowball event somehow brings in enough people that i am not sitting waiting forever for a match. and the fact that every one gets the same stats does make it feel fairly balanced. the other thing that i thought was amazing was that de allowed playing snow ball means conclave standing. which is one of the big reasons i stayed playing besides the glyph! who else liked the game mode?!
  11. this is hilarious to think about in a like (omg why?) way. its big worry of mine that wispers in the walls will actually be super buggy on launch due to how close it is gonna launch to the break. given the scope of the update they told us. (even if the quest is more like angels of zariman its still a fairly large by comparison) edit: worse they wont leave enough time to get the biggest most important bugs out of the way before the break. I expect there to be some minor bugs still in but ideally the most annoying game breaking/progress stopping are removed
  12. i am hoping they launch it earlier rather than later. solely so that the biggest bugs get dealt with early on. I understand it needs to be at least somewhat not buggy before a release it looks bad otherwise but this isnt like games where you buy on a disk and your stuck with that version for a really long time. around septemberish, i was guessing December fifth. but honestly it wouldnt suprise me if they did the launch at the game awards.
  13. i beleive what you would want would be cross save merge to your pc. because your pc is the one with the most progress. (i unless i read your progress wrong and xbox is MR LR 3) once merged. you should in theory have all the progress on the new account.
  14. that might actually be interesting. though it does comes with some problems being that certain fights might be nearly impossible. thinking sacrfice quest and ballas boss fight because amps just cant defeat lvl 100 versions of these guys i just dont think this is gonna happen
  15. p problem is you cant simply do that. 1. story context and 2. you have to respect grind of necramechs/railjack. ok doing some really basic math quickly railjack is 400 plat necramech voidrig is 375 archwing is 175 add in the base damage mods and crit chance mods free, at half of max rank(gives players something to grind for later) so added together we get 950 plat lets briefly assume 25% off discount which means 712 buying two 370 packs each at 20 bucks at current prices would be approximately 40$ personally i think that could be lowered to maybe 25 or even lower i supremely agree with brave dude8 the only change is dont make new war and out right requirement but heavly warn a new player that the quest might not make sense without completing the new war.
  16. lets be fair. currently in the game, you can pay to skip huge chunks of the game. necramechs and railjacks can be bought with plat. all warframes. most weapons in the game can be bought with plat. (exceptions being kuva and tenet weapons) i think experiencing the story is really important for the enjoyment of the game. i have no problem with it. it could be a good thing. however it must respect the current story quests in way that keeps a player engaged in the curious way. like gets them to ask what are we? how did things get this way and what are the warframes? and why do we use railjacks and archwing and necramechs. as long as it can be done this way then i am okay with it!
  17. i think your misunderstanding what i mean about project version 1 and project version 2. margulis didnt work on project version 1 she only worked on project version 2. we might could even consider their three stages of warframe development instead of two. 1. pre tenno controlled. "warframes" treated like bio drones(thought to be unaffected mentally from infestation) at the middle of the old war! these got shelved soon after deployment. 2. beginning of tenno controlled, margulis is using the "warframes" as sort of therapy for the children 3. post margulis. margulis denannounced the orokin way of turning the tenno and helminth humans into war machines! what i am saying is that 1999 could happen between 1 and 2. and happens way before 3 is a thing in the universe. we have no idea how long the time frame between 1 and 2 are. silvania recruitment "warframes" were not called warframes up until stage 3. the reason i say the sentient s definitely went first is because their was no solar rail between tau and origin system. and if their was the zariman wouldn't have made their void jump like they did. they would have used the solar rail. solar rails are safe. void jump is not! the only things that could survive non FTL travel from origin to tau was the sentient. that's why they built the sentients in the first place!
  18. i have few questions for you! 1. are you sure the infested in 1999 are a new occurence? not just earlier strain we just dont recognize? 2. destruction of earth could take a while. personally, when i saw the trailer it looked like the train station was basicially non functional. meaning that the pollution combined with the infestation means no one chooses to live on earth anymore! 3. does umbra not look human underneith the mask? (remeber their were two phases to the warframe project. pre tenno and post tenno warframes) 4. this could occur between warframe(more super solider project v1.0) and version super solider project 2.0. 5. based on my understanding of the lore, sentients were definitely sent first before the zariman, sentient had to colonize tau to make it somewhat hospitible for the colonist ship. the zariman was sent soon after, after a while (as in could have been couple years, the sentients arrived back at the origin system to wage war(didnt have FTL)) the orokin hadnt heard from the zariman assumed it was lost. the war begins to break out and orokin are starting to fall. they unleashed the infestation immedietly after(as in it was contained and consider forbidden weaponry up until that point against the sentients) the zariman arrives back. the warframe project v1 was scrapped then accidently discovered the tenno power to control warframes. the warframes become their this gap between when warframe project shifted from v1 to v2, and thats when warframe 1999 could have happened.
  19. why couldn't Arthur be real? this could have actually all happened in the past! did even bother reading how orokin originally thought that the mind of the warframes were thought to be untouched by the infestation? i dont know if 1999 is the actual date of the quest but still this could have happenened. it could quit literally be the start or beginning of the old war! though important what we say was a flashback into the past! how are you so certain that there couldnt be warframes(hint they werent called warframes at that point) at that point? i see no reason that either the orokin and sentients couldnt have been at war for nearly 1000 years. their both immortal for all intents and purposes. we see that with all of the eidlons and how hunhow has been trapped under uranus for 1000 years yet is mostly intact!
  20. NO, first theres theoretically 5 different weapons up to 6 if count archgun on nearly any normal warframe mission(exceptions are archwing only) 6 weapons is more than enough for nearly any game mode
  21. their has to be some form of retcon or at least small change in the lore but not what your probably thinking. umbra is not the first excaliber hes probably not even the hundreth. Umbra was created(transformed) after the warframe project version 2.0 was started! they had already developed the helminth strain for warframe creation at that point. the big change in the lore is that the warframes went mad. the orokin couldnt control them. so is aurthur some how resisting the infestation. is he slowly being consumed by it at that point we see in the tennocon reveal? the orokin originally thought that they had control of the warframe that the infestation didnt effect their mind but it turns out that it did. why i am trying to say is according to the lore so far, aurthur doesnt require a retcon yet!
  22. honestly, given the amount of time i have played, i dont think rejuvination needs any changes. i personally consider a just nice boost. that rarely makes the difference between whether i lose or win in any given situation. there are some far more powerful methods that near instant heals. aura mods especially for me are mostly used for the extra mod capacity not the effect itself. shields are where most of the enemies damage should be hitting you anyway. if your relying on rejuvenation, you likely need to rethink your build entirely. health and armor are nice but not where i would focus most of defense with the newest updates
  23. I really do love the game and the variation keeps it fresh or at least more interesting then if it were only a couple of actual game modes. I just wish DE did more spy/void flood type missions where movement itself is key to winning! things like pursuit or rush where getting somewhere as fast as you can would be amazing. or more of get to this really hard spot by utilizing all parkour abilites(yes i would even be okay if they had to disable operator void sling for it) thanks de for all your hard work.
  24. half of all gamemodes in warframe are some variation of mobile defense. excavation is go to spot use powercells to charge excavator defend it. disruption, go to conduit, find key, defend the conduit move to next conduit and repeat. aramagedon, go to exodamper, defend it for blank time, while building towers and then go to next exodamper. void cascade. go to filter device, defeat thrax defend until filters goes out move on to the next one. defense doesnt even get that because it feels like half the tilesets have a moving defense target. thus complete one wave move to where sortie defense makes this worse. with tilesets that dont have a moving defense target suddenly moving around. hijack another basically mobile defense target but instead of key and moving one spot to another you have to move with the target. infested salvage, is another mobile defense game mode with powercells and the moving around the purifers. hell even volatile is mobile defense with the defense target being the terminals. EDIT: i didnt even finish yet. defection another mobile defense game mode! with power cellls for purifers on the grinneer defectors. hell intereception is basically mobile defense if you have less than 4 players!! though, i love the fact they actually do feel all different. but still why? though i can admit i love this game, never stop building cool stuff! thanks DE for warframe. i just wish less mobile defense gamemodes. have a good day, hope you got a laugh out of this!
  25. i am on PC windows 10, when i use guardian shell in operator form, it seems to work on all of my team mates and myself. the buff icon shows up on the allies that you casted it on. however when you swap to warfame the buff icon and numbers disappear. it seems like this unitentional. the connection seemed fine (200-220 ms) and when i asked my teammates they did say they had the buff. i will post video once i figure out how to do it.
