  1. Nightwave is a frustrating to me: I only have 0.5 - 1 hrs to play ANY GAME 5/7 days of the week, if that (and this may shock you, but I don't want to spend 4-5 hours catching up on the weekend, and for some things, like sorties, you can't - one a day only).  I feel like I can't risk not spending that time doing the Wolf content lest I not get that one Umbra forma that I assume can be used on one frame only.  So now Warframe is dictating what missions I spend my time on.  In addition, I can't put any time towards Hildryn or Orb Vallis extra stuff, or grinding void traces/prime parts that are refusing to drop/void relics for those prime parts/rare mods from bounties that are also refusing to drop.

I LIKE the concept of Nightwolf, but it is bottlenecking what content I get to and (feels like it is) forcing me to play some content that doesn't progress me towards the other things I want at all.  I am not sure how DE can best address this, but I am already frustrated that I sit down at my computer for my half hour of game time and feel immediately like there's only one choice for how to spend it - Nightwave content.  It honestly makes me want to go play another game because I don't want to mine or fish or do a sortie.

  2. Just happened to a friend twice in a row - we went out, farmed Calda and Vega (we both had two of each).  He died 4x at the Temple of Profit (because jeezypeets and sunshine but ********) and I was on my 2nd revive, so I ran out and extracted.  I kept all my rewards and he didn't get jack, including a cool mod and both the 2 calda and 2 vega.

Well, we're not ready to quit yet, so we figure we'll get Sola Toroids out of the way tonight and get the other two for him again tomorrow.  We go down into the Temple of Profit and I pick up one but he misses it because he's dying.  I don't want to lose my rewards to death so we both leave and make it to Vallis - but he has no rewards again.  He had pick-ups (not the Sola, but others), but none of them were on the reward screen or in his inventory.

Given that Vallis is the sort of place you go out into and pick up fish and ore for an hour or two before heading back, this seems like a bug that needs to be fixed ASAP.

  3. This ain't burger King, just saying. Having limitations in place encourages players to make situational decisions. Having the ability to kill anything all the time twice in the face can get boring.

Straight up numeric improvements with no sacrifices is dull. Players should be forced to pick and choose, ho and hum, and weigh the pros and cons. The tougher it is to find "the perfect build", the better.

That was what configurations were supposed to be for.  I can (a) take tanky Saryn and take her into the void and have a grand old time leaving molts everywhere while I let my guns do the strategic debate, or I can (b) take insta-ulti Saryn to a defense and enjoy the scent of disintegrating flesh at the cost of my safety and well-being.  If you forma Saryn (or any other frame) too many times, however, ESPECIALLY with the increasing number of higher cost mods (Primed, etc), you cannot build both (a) and (b) configs.  The sacrifice was already there, now they're taking away my ability to pick and chose between damage or tank - or, they aren't, because now I'm not building the utility slot on Saryn.

TL;DR configurations improve strategic building, utility slots decrease it again.  Maybe they should make forma slots changeable between configurations, or make it so that for every forma you use, you get a small increase in total mod capacity (very small).

  4. there're few options I can think of to fix this:

    the exil slot should be

    A.free without costing upgrade points

B.work  as a aura mod that grants upgrade points.

C.by unlocking exil slot your warframe will get increased maximum upgrade capacity e.g. from 60->70

    -------

I believe DE is trying to promote movement/utility mods but you're basically giving one more mod slot to warframe without adding maximum upgrade points, so tell me why should I waste my plat on something I don't need?

I don't need movement mods before and this new mod slot certainly does not grab my attention now.

I like your C option and think we could probably stand to see a petition for something like that.  My Saryn has 0/74, 1/74 and 2/74 on a forma'd build.  Even if I forma her a utility slot for Narmon (which seems to be what most utility slot mods are), I'd (a) be locked out of forever putting any other polarity in there, and (b) would still not have enough space for a maxed utility mod.  If I forma'd another slot, I'd permanently be limiting what ways I can build my frame, because forma selections are permanent across all three configurations.  This seems like a poor choice of implementation, given that they've already begun releasing the Primed mods, which also take up a ton of space.

Another option I'd like to add (something to go in line with this sudden use for formas) is that every time you use a forma, you not only halve the cost of mods that fit that polarity, but you increase the maximum mod capacity of your frame (even by as little as, say, 2-5).  This would follow with game progression and help, imo, fix more than just the issue of the unusuable utility slot, as you'd then have the capacity to place mods in unmatched polarities when necessary.

  5. Nice visual concept for Saryn. I want to see her in wearing actual hood that has physics :)

That could look pretty cool.  Conceptually, I think a hood would be better for Trinity, to go with her eventual cloth skirt physics (it's happening, c'mon DE).  Were you thinking a Link-like hood, or something more monkish, or AC-like...?

  6. I'm a huge fan of Saryn.  I definitely want her Prime frame to be at least as awesome as her non-prime frame.  As a caveat, I am not an artist, but here's the general idea that I've come up with for how Saryn Prime could look.

    F3eCO13.png

Things I color die a terrible death, but -

    • The frilly, almost cloth-looking depictions are Saryn's organic-like tissue.
    • The dark, smooth bits are supposed to be her scale-armor.  How normal Saryn's bicep scales are good.
    • The unshaded white bits would be normal, solid plate or leatherlike armor, trimmed in gold (or the recolorable-gold part) as a Prime frame.
    • Gold scales should occasionally peek out of her normal scaled parts, and particularly for her helm, wrists, and belt, the organic tissue is connecting with gold trims to form ornamentation.
    • The half-chestplate should bump up, away from the breastbone, reminiscent of actual effective plate armor.

    Things to take away:

    • Valkyrie-inspired face-helm with infested frill stuff latching onto it from the back of her head.  No seriously, I want a Saryn helm like this, and gold lines running through the tissue in back (even with her venom-pumps) would look amazing.
    • Keeping the tops of her thighs, boots, and hips relatively uncovored compared to normal Saryn frame.  I presented two different ideas for where her tissue might latch onto her boots, but I think they look better unadulterated.
    • The gold for Saryn Prime should work with or be partially consumed by her organic-like tissue and scales.

    And finally -

    • I prefer the shoulder-neck concept from the second image, but I wasn't sure how animation would work with close shoulder armor like that.
    • Increasing the amount of tissue down one side all the way to the ankle might look better, but if this is done then I would say get rid of the belt entirely, and just leave gold spikes or gold-tinted venom pumps (referring to Chlora Helm) running through the tissue.
    • The bottom half of her helm may need to be dehumanized with more obvious scales (no gold flecks).

If someone really likes this concept or has an idea of how to improve it and can color/graphics better than me, I'd love some visual feedback in response for DE to chew over.
  7. w00h00 for fixes!

Still no fix for timer on pigment research matching actual pigment research time (actual time seems to still be 72 hrs, timer says 36, and I know, I know, no one cares except me, because I'm researching for a five-person clan).

Cloth syanada = Trinity skirt rework confirmed.

  8. I have only tried few missions, but when I switch from primary to melee then back again I lose the ability to attack at all. I can still use powers.

I did not have this problem yesterday, but today I started having it (specifically on Calus, Uranus interception, haven't tried other maps).  Switching to melee immediately bugs both melee and ranged weapons.

Switching from Velocitus to Veritux or Rathbone bugs.

Switching from Imperator to Veritux or Rathbone bugs.

If weapon is automatically switched because ammo runs out, weapons DO NOT bug.

If you try to switch back to ranged after melee was auto switched-out, then it DOES bug.

  9. I like the new UI EXCEPT for the navigation map.  The full-view instead of this 'circle of planets with blocky node names circling' is too

As far as Ordis goes, I don't mind how much he talks, so much as his limited spectrum of subjects.  Also, if you're going to give me two talking voices, I insist that Ordis speaks instead of Lotus, because she's not saying anything useful either.  =D

    Other than that, great release!

  10. I'm putting this here because I had this error, and upon searching for the solution, found a good dozen possible fixes that worked for some people and not for others.  This list is not in any particular order, and there is very likely some clue as to which fixes to try first in the error messages in the launcher files.

    "ERROR_INTERNET_CANNOT_CONNECT"

From ADMIN, not specific to this error.
    https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/49657-login-failed-here-is-a-quick-way-to-self-diagnose-and-solve/

During this entire process, keep checking your %localappdata%/Warframe launcher and EE files!

=>  Sometimes just restarting your launcher multiple times or waiting a while works.  This error may be occuring because Warframe really isn't available, or because your own connections are temporarily waltzing into the sunset.
    =>  Start everything as administrator
=>  Check your Firewall for allowances.  Uninstalling Warframe and reinstalling with Firewall off (which made me cringe while I attempted it) apparently worked for a few souls.  Double-check that the allowances cover the Launcher.exe, Warframe.exe, and Warframe.64x.exe (the last two are found in your steam/SteamApps/common folder).
=>  Check your IE settings, that you are not in offline mode and that your LAN settings (Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings) are set to automatic detect.  In (Internet Options > Advanced) there is a full Reset option that will require you to restart your computer, if you've made a lot of changes over the years and want to be certain.
=>  Check your Anti-Virus exceptions.  Some Anti-Virus programs come with their own Firewall (which can interfere with Windows' and vice versa)
    =>  Uninstall and reinstall
=>  Verify cache (via the Launcher, upper right-hand corner, the gear icon)/defrag
=>  Verify integrity of game cache (Steam).
=>  Start your launcher, then ctrl-alt-del to Start Task Manager and end the process, and then restart launcher.  I have no idea why this worked for someone, but it did.
=>  Make sure that ports are forwarding correctly (portforward.com was a blessing, here)

Further Notes:  Because none of the above worked for me.

My %localappdata%/Warframe etc location didn't have an EE.file even with show hidden files, and the entire /Warframe folder disappears if I exit the location until I restart Warframe.  This led to show another problem; no one likes IE.  No one.  So when your IE kicks the bucket (which is why we all hate it), you don't notice, because you have it disabled or out of sight, out of mind, etc etc.  Since the first thing I do when I reinstall/install Windows is open IE to download Mozilla and then never open IE again, I didn't notice that my IE11 no longer connected to the internet, which means I couldn't try Warframe's IE fix.

IE11 has compatibility issues, from the look of things, due to Windows 8.  Rolling back to IE10 fixed IE not connecting to the internet, and an EE.file started showing up in my %localappdata%/Warframe.  A 'login' window popped up over the Launcher and the ERROR_INTERNET/etc message never appeared, although the login prompt was also unable to connect.

New error message appeared in the %localappdata%/Warframe/launcher file that hadn't been there before: ERROR_INTERNET_SEC_CERT_REV_FAILED

    => Internet Options > Advanced
=> Uncheck "Warn about certificate address mismatch", "Check for publisher's certificate revocation", "Check for sever certificate revocation" (Fix by UfoL on Steam forums).

My Warframe launcher was fixed at this point and I was able to play the game.

  11. I'm wondering if its an issue with soloing Captures on Mag, after reading a few of these threads.  I used crush the first run through, and the Lotus declared the target captured, but nothing happened - then she started looping through 'find the target' 'you have the target' while I stood over the guy as he cowered.  So I aborted, read a few threads, and didn't use crush the next run through.  Or any other of Mag's ability.  That time the target was captured the second I ran into him, but he still wouldn't vanish and just sat there cowering while Lotus told me I had him/I needed to find him.  The third time, I didn't shoot any enemies before running to get him and didn't damage him.  He locked himself in a storage room with me INSIDE and started cowering while Lotus went bipolar.
