Hi I'm returning to my old account on Steam but realized it is literally unplayable due to a major controller bug on PC - please help if possible, thank you!!!
Everytime in game when I press R1 a few times (customized for melee) my whole controller suddenly changes configuration to another set of config(instead of melee it switches to Focus and Transference) and all my other keys are also changed during this switch. I cant change back until I restart the game or I wait until it randomly switches back after a long while.
First of all I cant use m/kb due to an hand injury so normally Im playing on ps5 or using ps dual sense controller, esp for a movement intensive game like WF. I also have to state that this problem didnt exist 4 years ago for me but only this time after reinstalling on Steam. Please please help with this as I literally cant play on my Steam account anymore!
These are what Ive done so far based off what I have found other users have suggested to try to resolve the issue:
1/ disabled big game mode/steam support controller setups (unchecked all)
2/ using ds4windows and tried both ps4 and ps5 controllers, with profile and without
3/ tried defaulting all controller configs in options menu and redoing them more than 5+ times to see if theres a conflict esp for R1, also did the same for other layouts ie abilities etc and reconfiguring my layout again and again
4/ tried switching between bluetooth and usb connections for my controllers
5/ tried with many other games but none of them have this problem, only WF
Nothing has helped so far, everytime I press R1 its basically game over for me. And when Im in a group while this happens my team mates probably think Im having a seizure as my character just suddenly goes insane and out of control. Anyone with knowledge or experience with this issue and can help would be greatly greatly appreciated!! Thank you!!
