At this point, I have uninstalled the game and opted to take an extended break. I check this forum daily to see there has been a response to the continued backlash, even though I'm not expecting one. Would be nice to be surprised one of these days.

I'm sitting on a 50% coupon praying that they make a wise decision in the next 48 hours. 😅 I'd hate to see it go to waste, but I will let it go if need be. That would be the right thing to do, at least for me, if they choose to do nothing.

I don't hate anyone who already bought one of these packs. That would be dumb. However, I can't really sympathize with them. Their money, their life, and whether they realize it or not, they contributed to one of the biggest problems in modern day gaming.

...As I said, it's very unlikely that they weren't aware. I think Megan even checked in on Saturday at some point.

To be fair, everyone just got back to the office today, though I'd be surprised if they weren't aware of the situation all weekend. I'll wait a few more days and see what happens. It might take that long to come up with another response of any sort, much like it did last time.

It's not just about the cosmetics. It's the precedent that these cosmetics are setting.

I know. I even stated that DE created the issue to start with. It's the players that began the harassment. That was my point.

Fair enough. If I said anything inflammatory, and it was deleted, then that's fine. I probably typed it out while I was frustrated. Hopefully they don't go overboard with their cleansing though. There really is some good feedback here, even if it can be perceived as being a little rude.

Absolutely. I was just saying that this (the harassment) is a player created problem, but I guess it's more human nature than anything else. We humans are quick to join in on any form of tribalism.

I'd love to use one of my kubrows, so if I can do that after the rework and not feel gimped, that'll be a win in my book. My Vulpa has been great and all, but I'd prefer to use something I actually like aesthetically.

That's obviously not okay. DE might have created the problem, but these sorts of scenarios are 110% on the players.

I've tried my best to avoid bashing them, or at least bashing them too hard. I don't consider calling their business practices in regard to this topic scummy as being unreasonable or telling them that it looks like something Tencent would do over the top. I don't blame the devs or community managers (like Meghan) for this. I blame the company they work for. Blaming or "bashing" anyone else would be pointless. And it wouldn't be fair. Decisions like this usually come from the top. Who's at the very top? Tencent. So...yeah.

I'd be more inclined to throw money at them over a gesture of good faith as opposed to whatever the heck it is currently.

I was going to buy some plat, or at least some sort of pack with plat in it to fuel my grinds, but I opted to not buy anything until this is resolved. If it's not resolved at all, then I'll just take an extended break.

The ideal solution would be to add a pack (maybe 2?) that would give the skins, minus the aya and plat. It wouldn't really be going back on anything. It would just be providing more options. Those that bought it already, congrats. You are now 600-2100 plat richer than the rest of us.

First off... *looks at thread page number* Nice. But yeah, if the general consensus is negativity instead of praise or indifference, then something's definitely not right about this. I'm hoping, but not expecting, that they will come forward with a more widely accepted solution.

Yep. This isn't her fault. She just had the unfortunate displeasure of having to give us this response. Hopefully she knew what to expect though.

Yeah, I don't blame her. However, she's the one we apparently need to get the attention of, so here we are. It's definitely not as simple as some would think either way.

If they can provide me with solid builds, or at least with a template/starting point to make my own, I'm usually willing to give their sensationalism a pass. A lot of the time I like to see what I can do to improve their "best weapon in the game".

It'll be the first time an MMO will be run...from SPACE. They'll just launch the servers up into orbit like they did with that car.
