All of the mentioned services are cross-platform. Imagine having to pay for subscriptions (or any particular song) multiple times for every single device you're using?

I think you guys keep forgetting that Tennogen is not sold directly by DE but through Steam and their Workshop which is not cross-platform.

Sorry, Taylor, but that's not an answer. "Tough luck, PC, no deal" doesn't cut it as an answer. If I'm expected to be double-dipped if I want to own those cosmetics across all platforms I require an answer that explains the situation and convinces me that was the only option.

Who do you think you are that you require a detailed explanation of the situation? You want to see every single legal agreement they had to make with different platforms or what?

They have explored the option and concluded that it is not possible. Explaining it to you won't change anything.

Tennogen has been around for years. It was always treated differently based on platform for obvious licensing reasons.

    • DESCRIPTION: Receiving affinity from a previous Railjack mission
    • VISUAL:

End of a Railjack mission ↓

    aEEW3u9.jpg

Start of a new Railjack mission ↓

    • REPRODUCTION:
    1. Start a Railjack mission
    2. Finish the mission
    3. Travel to Dojo
    4. Start a new Railjack mission

You can see that my companion got the same amount of affinity as in the fist mission even though the new mission is just 12 seconds in and I'm still in the loading void tunnel. I was playing in SOLO mode. I was playing on the node Nu-Gua Mines, Neptune Proxima.

Doing the Railjack missions back to back without the Dojo visit does not yield the same results.

This bug seems to scale infinitely since you keep the affinity from the previous mission but still gain affinity from the new mission. Here is my companion getting over 270k total affinity in just 1 second:

    Spoiler

    • EXPECTED RESULT: I do not expect to get thousands of affinity just by starting a new mission.
    • OBSERVED RESULT: I got affinity from the previous mission just by starting a new mission.
    • REPRODUCTION RATE: Every time

So that's why I get consistent spawns happening on every mission... My mission runs always take a minimum of 50 minutes...

... I'm laughing at you, rushers... That's right, I'm laughing at you because I'm getting them all and you're not.

It takes you 50 minutes to complete Capture, Exterminate, Sabotage, Spy, Rescue, Hive, Assault, Assassination, Hijack and Mobile Defense? I'm not sure if that's something to brag about...

  4. This happens every once in a while (1 out of 5-10 missions) and I have absolutely no idea how to replicate this or what triggers it. I always play as a client.

It happens when you are inside a base or a crewship. The game will just teleport you back to railjack (outside - unlike omni) seemingly out of nowhere. It happens even when you are just running around doing nothing - not interacting with anything, not shooting.

This usually results in the base/crewship being invisible. If you remember where the entrance is you can go back inside without a problem. It's not a gamebreaking bug (at least so far). It's just annoying.

It feels like the game "forgets" what I was doing so it sets me back to when I exited railjack.

Oh wow, so .. all of that insane grind .. for nothing?!

2019 is now officially the worst year of Warframe. I'm stunned. But not surprised TBH.

Also, thank all of you who sacrificed your personal time and effort for this. I really mean it.

It's not for nothing...We are just in Phase 2 of railjack with Phase 3 coming soonTM. They probably want us to build a try out our railjacks before throwing the rest of The New War at us.

  6. But...this is the same for every single type of leveling we do in this game?

New things? Affinity Booster for faster leveling.

Forma? Affinity Booster for faster leveling.

Focus? Affinity Booster for faster leveling.

Standing? Affinity Booster for faster leveling.

Read my post in the linked thread. Yes, the Lanka blueprint DID disappear from my inventory. Others have reported having it building in the foundry when the update got pushed, and they not only lost the materials but still don't have the finished weapon. And it's more than just the Lanka. Is that not a major issue to you, or is it not just because it isn't happening to you?

It's more than just the energy lab stuff. Melee stopping you from sprinting, melee control issues, liches not spawning for people, etc, etc, etc, etc. The list goes on. Would a PTR catch all of these? Probably not. Would it catch the worst offenders? Most likely.

Major issues would include - not being able to play the game, losing progress, not being able to progress in quests/missions, missing crafted weapons, not being able to obtain any new weapons etc.

Some of the issues reported are just from people misunderstanding the mechanics. For example there are people reporting that their melee stances are not working properly...

I quit for three of this game's six years mostly because of constantly building tech debt with no upper limit in sight. New bugs being introduced with every update and only maybe a quarter of those ever getting fixed. This has been a long-running issue with DE.

One of the most glaring issues with U26 that I've seen: Missing Energy Lab Weapons

Take a look in the PC Bugs pinned thread, and the U26 and Hotfix threads in Update Notes. There are a lot of issues being reported with everything they've added and changed, and then some as evidenced with the linked thread.

I'm not saying there aren't any bugs. I'm saying there is nothing major going on.

The missing weapons - did they disappear from your inventory? No. You just can't buy blueprints and craft them. That's hardly an issue justifying a need for PTR.

Oh and when you are saying that bugs are "a long-running issue with DE" then why do you think PTR would make any difference?

I can call it an excuse because it is. The Founders program ended exactly 6 years ago, which being generous and assuming that wasn't a post-full-release program but a pre-full-release program, that dates the actual full release date being also exactly 6 years ago. A beta release does not exist in beta for 6 years. A beta release does not have multiple microtransactions priced at $40-100+ for the same 6 year period. I will NOT be engaging with any further conversation regarding the game's so-called "beta" status. I will report every such "It's a beta" post beyond this one for derailing the topic, because it is a massive distraction and offers nothing of value.

As for the delay, I would gladly see another month or so pass before U26 hit if it meant that the most severe bugs had been discovered and fixed by then. I seriously doubt it would even take an extra month, more likely an additional week, maybe two at most. Some bugs are to be expected from any big update, but this is beyond what's acceptable. If DE can't find these issues themselves -- and I do not entirely fault them for this -- then a PTR is potentially a great way to do exactly that.

You DO NOT get to decide when the product is finished. Star Citizen.

Maybe you are willing to wait another month but a lot of people aren't. Regular players, streamers and youtubers are qutting because of the content drought. Some might come back but some won't.

What are these "severe" bugs you are talking about? I have already killed a Lich, crafted Grendel and played regular missions without any issues. My clanmates are not reporting any major issues either.

Emphasis mine. That is an excuse, and a poor one at that.

There actually are people who enjoy playing on PTRs. Some to be able to see bits of content a bit earlier than others, some because they want to help test things before the community at large gets the actual update, some for reasons I haven't even considered. Obviously it wouldn't be the whole player base, or likely even a large percentage of it, but there could very well be enough to spot a decent chunk of the issues we see before the main update hits.

How can you call this an "excuse" is beyond me. You DO NOT get to decide when the product is finished.

You should consider the additional delays PTR would cause. People are mad about content drought all the time. This would only make the issue worse because the PTR would need some time to run. Sure, some people do enjoy playing PTR but more people enjoy playing live version of the game - even with bugs. There are currently 87000 players on Steam playing Warframe...

  11. I'm sure people would be willing to grind on PTR and when the update is released grind AGAIN on live servers. /s

Where is it written that monetization or lenght mark a "full release"?

The product is finished when the developer says it is. DE says that Warframe is in beta? Then it is in beta.
