Are we going to instead get a provisional forum post to keep us updated about progress and/or ideas about warframe ?

Devs go to Japan to attend a convention and promote Warframe.

And you think that means we won't get any progress updates from that con?

I get that operators are controlling the warframes with their minds while the body remains limp, but my question was: command or full possession?

The end of Second Dream certinaly hints at the operators being so deep under they actually thought they actually were the warframes themselves.

Post War Within? Who knows, could be either, could be both, could be neither but something completely else entirely.

For starters: Hi! First time showing my face around here and I hope my stay is pleasant =>

We all know by now that our frames are controlled by our Operators, but how exactly? I might have missed something so I'll ask you guys (since every time I google the results are from before the operators came around.

So, to the point. Are warframes being commanded by our operators or do our guys straight up control them muscle by muscle as if they're using the frames like their bodies? If so, shouldn't some of the frame's movements transfer over to our operators like muscle memory?

I'm personally split on this since from the presence of melee stances (even if they're simply a game mechanic), it makes it seem like the warframes are essentially being told what to do instead of them being fully possessed, yet on the other hand they (with the exception of umbra) go limp every time we transfer out of them. I feel like we'll have definite answers with the Duviri Paradox when we're using our adult operators (if we use the same or even similar movements to our warframes or not).

What do you guys thing about this?

So, the human body is a pretty amazing thing.

When we go to sleep, especially during REM sleep, the body "blocks" alot of the signals from the brain to the muscles to basically keep us paralysed, but the signals and impulses fired off the the brain and still the exact same as if we were awake.

Now the idea, as I've understood it, is that basically the body of the operator is completely relaxed (and/or basically paralysed) while those signals in the brain are still registered and "transfered" (get it?) to the second body while you are in the somatic link. (There's a reason we have a bunch of somatic implants all over our heads after all, and also why it's Transference is called a lucid dream.)

Whether the relaxation of the original body is something achieved through technology or mentally is pretty unanswered.

I thought Space Dad was Ballas technically? Since he continued with Margulis' work on Transference to make frames and all that jazz.

I think the reference here is Man in the Wall. Because he keeps quoting the Operators actual dad with the "Hey Kiddo" thing.

This mission is a kick in the balls for the new players, DE really screwed things up this time.

Except A, you don't need to do every single challenge to still get all the rewards

Except B, complete 5 Sorties last week was way worse for newbies

Except C, 60 min Kuva survival was even worse still for newbies

  6. Even if the Stalker mode itself, eg ability to play as stalker and choosing missions to invade etc, is working as intended the Syndicate part might be more tricker in balancing.

I.e. should there be an opt in? And if there's an opt in how should it work with other players? Do you need a completely new "squad" option besides solo/invite/squad? Should you only be allowed to invade full squads or should you be able to invade solo players as well? I imaging this is the balancing act that's delaying it the most.

Also what should the syndicate rewards be? Should you have scaling rewards from invading a full squad compared to a solo player?

  7. First of all, Limbo has no business being along for a Profit Taker fight, at all.

Secondly, I agree that getting some better consistency for the rift would be nice. Currently it seems to be environmental AoEs (like the ground being covered in lightning from the Kyta Rakdoid). Also the Jackal seems to ignore the rift/stasis while Limbo is on the host but not while joining, which seems unintentional.

Other than that Limbo is great, if challenging to play well :)

Without using life support modules implies that you can use the towers and not the small thingy that are dropped by mods. So using nekros, hydroid is highly not recommended. Just go stealth

    The UI is wrong.

Source a bunch of livestreams doing the challenge.

  10. In general I love Nightwave so far.

Balance wise 100 eximus kills vs 60 min survival and/or Hydrolyst fight do not feel equal, yet 5k is what you get from all of them.

I'm wondering if perhaps a 4th tier reward scale of "Nightmare challenge" might be more fitting for some of the real endurance challenges, especially since the Hydro cap/kill turned into a Tridolon run for most i'd wager (even if it wasn't technically a necessity) 🙂

  11. If you complete all the dailies, all the weeklies, AND all all the elite weeklies for the entire run of Wold of Saturn (approx 10 weeks) you should not only get to rank 30 once, but also prestige and get an addition 13 ranks of which all will give 50 creds each, for a grand total of somewhere around 850 creds.

That should allow you to buy 56 bundles of Nitrain for a total of 280 Nitrain, which is about twice the Nitrain needed for every single blueprint and other item in the game combined.

    The scaling is fine.

  12. For extra context, I just installed Warframe on my minimum specs laptop in order to keep my daily longin for the holidays and I had to suffer through manually changing all graphical settings to minimum with a sizeable delay in my changes because there wasn't an easy to find option to do so outside of gameplay (which defaulted to fairly advanced settings). :)

  13. Maybe im just a bit thick and havent found it so far, but it seems there is no way to access thr settings menu atm without being logged in and in game??

As someone with a potatoe of a computer (a toaster would actually be an upgrade) being able to set my settings without being ingame and suffering a massive delay to change settings because of my potatoe computer would be very nice! This would likely be irrelevant with the coming change in min specs but might still be nice to keep in mind in general :)

I think the servers are being flooded thats all as its baro and all are checking his useless wares 😄 hold tight and keep trying

This, un-intentional Denial-of-Service from too many users trying to log on at the same time would be my bet.
