  1. Though in fairness, requiring some coordination could fall under a category of "difficulty" in content. Mechanics in LOR were extremely simple--literally just standing on buttons and not letting mobs move you off buttons--but even those had a consistent failure rate because cooperation is evidently challenging for many people. But I agree with your main point about DE's attempts at creating variety--for a game with as much stuff as Warframe, a variety of gameplay and multiple distinct metas (which DE can tweak around to relatively less backlash) would work better for longevity rather than constantly churning out new content islands that still offer little variance from what we've always done. I've been duo'ing most EDA since launch with a clanmate and it's a lot of fun trying to mix and match the hands we're dealt for that week. He didn't get all that lucky this week, but luckily I rolled into Cycron which could entirely ignore the ammunition nerf, and I could crutch on my clanmate's Harrow to boost said Cycron, so on and so forth. He didn't have any of the primaries of the week built up, so he slapped on a bunch of status mods and Primary Exhilarate on one of them (I think it was Quartakk?) to keep up Condemn and Covenant. There are so many tools at our disposal in Warframe and even if it's just for one or two missions a week it's so exciting to find a use for them.
  2. I agree with most of your suggestions. One of my first feedbacks after her rework was having her Fire Blast energy cost be inversely proportional to Immolation's heat gauge, so it's nice to know I'm not the only one who's been huffing on copium to give the nonsensical energy cost ramp up some kind of interactivity and choice for players. My first and foremost complaint about this Ember continues to be that the heat gauge really isn't as "interactive" as DE pretends it is. The most noticeable effect my modding will have on heat gauge is just how fast the energy gets deleted and little else--this sense that the heat gauge ignores so much of my modding is fundamental to why the gauge feels like a shackle rather than whatever "encouragement of active playstyle" DE wanted to spin it as. If it were up to me Immolate and Inferno both would be reworked in some way; as much as I've shat on Fire Blast over the years its foundational concept is fine, it was bad simply because DE could not be bothered to let it be good. Also why can't she have good Augments. Why did they make all her Augments so boring and bad. I'm so tired.
  3. DE I want to appreciate the Inaros and Loki changes, I'm just confused that you went through the trouble of changing his abilities in Conclave to keep him in but Inaros Prime is still out? Despite having exact same stats? Why? (Also please look at Inaros again in Conclave just for a moment, he suffers PvE status procs, but otherwise he seems fine) Anyway please give Ember the curtest of your attention to put her back in Conclave. I'd prefer to have all her abilities except her 1 disabled in Conclave, but I don't mind suggesting number tweaks for Immolation (cannot exceed 50% DR, heat gauge rate fixed at +12%/s, energy consumption rate is unchanged from PvE at 10/s) and Inferno (drastically reduced damage, reduced targeting range with stricter LoS check, reduced meteor AoE, no persistent heat ring on hit, cannot call more than 2 meteors regardless of extra energy).
  4. It's such a baffling choice, especially for Asian clients. I get that back in 2012 DE probably never expected Warframe to be played outside of Americas but now it's a big game with great number of players who don't use the alphabet writing system. What makes playing Warframe with an international clan the worst is the combination of no unicode and launcher language separating chat channels. It's still absolutely preposterous that Korean client cannot display hanja/hanzi but I could cope with that if I could still trade with and recruit players who are actually near my region when I choose Korean in the launcher. But nooooo can't even have that 20th century MMO standard
  5. DE pls I love my Volt, I love my Frost, I even love Saryn (I've forgiven her for the electricity bug) Please gib complete elemental frames in Conclave I beg
  6. I told them to, sorry. On a more serious note I think this is a good opportunity for DE to clarify the FOMO language they used for these packs. I don't know about others but I purchased the supporter packs with the expectation that they would come back and would be cheaper in some way when they returned, like how Prime Accessories packs were after Prime Resurgence became a thing. I could not care less that supporter packs cost platinum now; cash-exclusive for a period, return later for freemium-ish currency is a reasonable setup I'd still pay into. If DE had a predictable and reliable schedule for revisiting their old content after release, that would be an appropriate time for these older supporter packs to return. Like, wouldn't it be great if 2-3 years after an open world or major faction launch, they revisit it and the supporter packs associated with those updates are returned to hype up the occasion? Wouldn't it be great if those were known patterns we could expect? Regular revisions for "old" content and a positive association to those revisions, I mean. ...well I just made myself sad so I'm going to go cry about Ember not being in Conclave now.
  7. The longer I play this game the more I believe in Absorb being reworked into a different ability. It's too slow to work as a panic knockdown button for a manipulation frame whose main form of survival should be not getting hit in the first place; it's also just kind of boring and muddled with early DE anti-meta maths to work as a truly effective tanking ability. I also believe that would never happen. If DE has any new interesting ideas for abilities, I know they'd rather use them for new frames instead, since that'd make more sense in terms of ROI. Nevertheless I have been and will continue to be salty over Nyx, named after night, not having access to another form of CC that is sleep. So other than revising the energy drain formula, I'd like a faster detonation animation for Absorb (don't change the animation itself though, Nyx has legs for days and they must be appreciated.) Then I could at least justify it a bit more as a panic button.
  8. I am a simple trash man who collects trash. Please make more Ember Tennogen, I ran out of fashion idea by somewhere around number 40.
  9. As a long time Ember hater who misses Flash Accelerant more than anything I would like her to be able to add fire damage to her weapons without the augment. Frost doesn't have an innate cold damage addition either to be fair, but he has supreme area lockdown and better armor strip than Ember (not to mention wholly superior selection of Augments, which isn't hard to do because all of Ember's Augments are lazy uncreative trash.) Volt has the shield which is one of the best damage-amplifying abilities in the game disguised as a defense ability and the less I say about Toxic Lash the better. I've also always wanted the "elemental" frames to have their own little spin on their 1s. Saryn has the most unique iteration but Frost's lingering ice patches and Volt's chain lightning are good enough I suppose (though I wouldn't mind a buff either.) So Fireball's spin would be that Ember can throw out multiple at a time--2 at rank 1 and all the way up to 5 at rank 3--to make up for the relatively small AoE on individual projectile. However, that runs into, yet again, her 1 and 4 being redundant with each other--which is a design overlap that, yet again, only Saryn has received any kind of thought for. So basically buff or change Fireball (and Freeze). Give her heat damage overdrive so that infinitely scaling energy cost on Immolation feels like it's fueling something worthwhile at least. Could even call it Overheat for old time's sake.
  10. Nature of horde-oriented PvE games being what it is, we'll always circle back to AoE meta discussions. I have a lot of mixed feelings about Relics and Fissures, like on one hand I admire how well-connected the grinds are--you get relics for doing pretty much anything in the game and they'll always be of some use for duckits and void traces even if you don't need any of the parts. I don't enjoy that so much of Warframe's core farming loop is spamming the same low level exterminate/capture speedruns because it is an RNG casino at the end, but on the flipside I think beginners being able to jump into Prime farming early on has greater benefits than not. People are (justifiably) growing tired of AoE spam but I've been saying since Draco era that just nerfing the Most Popular X isn't the answer, what would really help is a variety of content and meta. Most of us should know by now that AoE spams are merely a symptom of the game's narrow incentive structure. This doesn't mean I'm opposed to AoE nerfs, just that I recognize simple number nerfs as bandaids which need to be accompanied with changes in rewards and missions. Improving Fissures to be more enjoyable to more types of players would mean ameliorating the gap in efficiency between exterm/cap spams vs. other mission types. Side objectives to reward reactants are the first things I can think of, like in Sabotage or Spy--think back to T4 Sabotage and why it was still played a lot back when the meta was camping as long as one could to squeeze out as much value out of a Void key. This doesn't have to be a zero-sum game where AoE players have to be reduced in order for other types of players to play how they want. But then again, Fissures and Prime farming are so closely tied to Warframe's revenue generation that I understand some players thinking it's extremely unlikely to get DE to rework their mission structures. Still, Prime farming has changed before and adding better variety in Fissure missions would be much smaller changes than transition to Relics was, so I think it's worth trying.
  11. Most "bosses" are immune to Fire Blast armor strip, including Acolytes, Lichs and Sisters, all variants of Demolysts, and some Star Chart bosses. Yet more nonsense Ember has to deal with because being Ember is suffering.
  12. This was probably the only feedback I left in the New War forums. People who have started the New War are, by definition, invested players. To tell them that they have to basically abandon a game they've played for at least hundreds of hours if they cannot clear certain hurdles those hundreds of hours of PvE never asked before is ridiculous. Yes this does factor into how I think Warframe PvE does a very bad job at teaching people how to play Warfame but that's another rant. Letting people abandon the quest would only strengthen New War's story, a huge of part of which is bringing eternalism from background to the fore as one of the foundational forces in Warframe's universe. Of course some tennos abandoned or fell out of certain timelines, it'd only make sense. And if by some miracle of spaghetti coding adding quit quest feature is truly impossible, I've suggested that each encounter could come with something like golden leaf in Mario games or assist mode in Celeste after a certain number of failures/restarts. A subtle health and/or damage reduction bonus during Archon fights, one or more of the wandering Deacons getting stuck in place in stealth sections (think of like, getting the poisoned cake asset in Big Bank heist from Payday 2), MOAs checking out the correct locations after several of them die in Veso section, etc. All of these would be optional, of course. Again the most reasonable option would be to let the player quit when they want to. That should have been the default really, I was honestly confused when I was told people couldn't abandon the quest. Quests like these shouldn't feel like a punishment.
  13. DE could simply disable all her abilities except her 1 in Conclave. Volt hasn't had his 4 work in forever but he's still one of the better frames here. (Do not fecking touch Volt DE I swear to god) A lot of Warframes could be included in Conclave if abilities weren't a concern. Like, I'd gladly give up all of Harrow's abilities if it meant his Prime gets back in and he gets a small boost to mobility or base HP.
  14. Please give my wife back I'm begging you Like it's obvious you guys can't and won't make her good in PvE so just let her back in Conclave I will shut up about Ember forever
  15. The children yearn for LOR But honestly credits might be one of the main reasons I miss LOR. I had around 700 million credits from regularly running trials and like you've said, while the viable credit farming options exist, none of them are all that enjoyable for me. One day I will learn to properly Chroma on Profit Taker, one day...
