  1. I prefer Warframe to be more of an archipelago. If you are not heavily invested in it, you are not really missing out on much. Sure, upcoming main story quests may require a thing or two from the islands, but you don't need it to be fully decked out for it to be "playable" (see TNW which is doable with a subpar mech and RJ build).
  2. Most if not all companies do this, they want to see how far they can push people's "tolerance" to such tactics, then dial it back down once they pass through that boundary. Do you remember when prime vault accessories were so overpriced for a while, then DE immediately released a cheaper pack which included all of the exclusive accessories when Jim Sterling made a fuss about it?
  3. Don't waste your time with that poster. They will never be satisfied with anything in this game. They just post rants after rants after rants everytime there is a content drop. DE is not that stupid to not make up for the missing MR points. Anything that is not the founder's pack and the "problematic" heirloom collection will never be out of reach for the players, new and old.
  4. I believe that 31st of December 1999 is what sets the era of Warframe in motion. Maybe tells the story of how the orokin came to be.
  5. So, Deimos expansion? Will Deimos finally get an actual open world boss?
  6. I swear I remembered doing a Lua Spy sortie back in 2018. I guess RNG hasn't chosen that one it a while.. given that we have what.. more than 200 nodes?
  7. It won't happen. DE have no reason to permanently ruin the arcane market overnight. You have 3 options 1. Grind Eidolons to the death. 2. Grind Errato, Veil Proxima to the death. 3. Trading.
  8. I don't get the uproars regarding FOMO in Warframe recently. As an example, let's take incarnon adapters, do you must have those incarnon adapter weapons to progress through in the game? No. Does the incarnon adapters will go away forever, had you missed one? Definitely not. They will always come back on a DEFINITE SCHEDULE so long the game is still running. Look, I get that you missed that weapon because of life, but it's not worth writing a whine thread that will only make you a laughing stock of the internet that shows how impatient and little self-control you have. It's just another weapon to the pile, there are hundreds of other weapons that give you a similar experience that can keep you occupied. If you want to see what real FOMO is like, take a look at those one-time events other games have or the founder's program Warframe launched in its early days. Missed it? Tough luck, you will never have a chance to get it again. On topic, I feel that the thread got locked pre-emptively for the fear of "spiraling into negativity" is a bit excessive. Before the thread was locked, I see absolutely nearly ZERO doom-glooming. The thread mostly contains players discussing the state of Warframe being in a "content drought" period and new "good" AAA games releases managed to poach some players which seems to correlate with the low average concurrent player count. What the moderators did was a little bit, how do I put it lightly.. rash. They should have waited for the doom-glooming to pop before pulling the trigger. The fall-out of their action is this thread that indirectly puts moderators in a bad light.
  9. Don't forget Remnant 2. Its gameplay mechanics are somewhat similar to Warframe with the procedurally generated levels, looting, and it has guns. I am not surprised it managed to poach some bored Warframe players. Its average player count is very close to Warframe. Man, July-August is filled with decent releases, and the "content drought" adds insult to the injury.
  10. They hate those because when DE works on them, DE doesn't work or halts progress on the content THEY like. They used to do that until DE remove it because of "matchmaking reasons". I would rather host my own games with rare occasions of people joining over having to gamble whether I get a decent host with decent hardware and connection or not.
  11. Yes, but the 10% drop chance does not make it any better. You receive one reward per stage, and on top of that, you cannot restart the bounty in Orb Vallis. This means you have to travel back to Fortuna, restart the bounty there, and then return to Orb Vallis. This process forces you to go through two loading screens, which can make the experience very tiring and frustrating rather quickly.
  12. The thing is, you still have to commit to the dreaded phase 2 rerun grinds. Out of all grinds in Warframe, the Atmo system grind is the worst for me.
  13. At least this is a great time for people to buy these in bulk for cheap and then sell it for profit after the hype dies down.
  14. Are you people seriously really that bad at dodging? No wonder challenge never lives long in Warframe.
  15. You can get around this by changing the game settings (setting ping limit to 100 and changing device type to desktop) so that the game prefers you to play as the host. If I recall, the spawns are determined by the host's machine.
  16. I still don't get why DE doesn't make Zariman Mission be eligible for Void Fissures. The zone is literally corrupted with Void Energy, a good place to crack relics. I guess Technical issues may be the cause. Void Fissures are one of the best ways to add replayability to existing zones.
  17. This would be great for the game because Warframe is very CPU-heavy. Adding DirectStorage support would definitely reduce the CPU load and provide smoother frame-time (less stutters). It may take a while tho, it took DE 5 years to implement DLSS and FSR.
  18. Infested Nemesis, more narmer content, and more content focused on the nameless void entity. I read that last part somewhere that DE is focusing more on that this year. What I really want personally is more Railjack content, but that is wishful thinking because the main advocate ([DE]Steve) left the Warframe dev team.
  19. What I dislike most about this dynamic DPS cap is that certain mechanics ignore it entirely. Here are some of them that I know : Multishot, Critical Multiplier, and Multiplicative Damage Bonus. One of the worst offenders of the multiplicative damage bonus is the incarnon Devouring Attrition evolution that multiplies final damage after being affected by Damage Attenuation by 20x. The current implementation of DA feels like double standards. why do you punish Voidrig's Arquebex so hard while letting these outliers do the same job the one thing you try to mitigate run free? If you want Damage Attenuation to work, make them work with these outliers.
  20. Pay to Win? Do you need those Incarnon weapons to do all of the missions in this game? No. I think the term Pay to Skip is the right one for this. DE ignoring the feedback about the weekly cycle definitely means they are happy with the current system. Skipping the grind for money is DE's bussiness model since day one. So, them pulling another one of these off doesn't surprise me. Is this scummy? You'll be the judge. At the end of the day, they want your money. They are NOT your friends, unless you know them personally of course. They are a company after all.
  21. DE butchered gas so badly back in Warframe Revised it's not even funny. I still resent DE about that until this day. Did you know that Gas, a DoT status effect is capped at 10 and every new gas status instance over the cap immediately overwrites the oldest instance by ending it prematurely? So for example, if you have the first stack that deals 5 million damage per second and then a new over-the-cap instance that deals 5 damage per second is applied, the game ended the first stack ended to make room for that new stack. In short, this change makes modding for Gas damage for high RoF weapons absolutely useless. I only want ONE change from gas: to remove this 10 stack cap gimp that halts gas's potential.
  22. Or better yet, just make them invulnerable. I don't want to constantly revive my companions only for them to get one shotted again. Give some compensation for the vulpas devolution mods if this change did go through.
  23. How are they gonna "nudge" you to spend the plat to skip the timegate then?
  24. Looks like DE still has the guts to say "NO" to gut gear randomization. Though, letting us mod these our given gears in the cave will alleviate these issues. Until then, my Drifter can carry me when I get a bad roll. How are they gonna stop no-life players to complete the game in just a matter of hours if DE does not implement time gating here? At least the time gate is not like those horrendous mobile games. Given Duviri is another way to earn stuff in the game and with eternalism shenanigans everything can happen there. It's a good opportunity for DE to expand the open world region by adding new islands.
  25. Add Zariman tileset as well. It's enveloped in RAW VOID with all of its nastiness for crying out loud, why is it NOT a permanent fissure zone?
