  1. Yeah, I mostly was looking at it from the angle of "anything that is capable of taking out steel path with just a couple of mods probably needs to be a really powerful and interesting interaction between a couple abilities and game mechanics", and was interested in seeing if other people had similar examples they wanted to share.
  2. Hmm, not sure if I understand what you mean - I just mean garbage in this context to mean that you're using a fraction of a fraction of the available power you could be using for a steel path mission, and therefore are making it harder for yourself (But the fact that it's possible to do it at all is impressive on just a few mods). Kind of like one of those Dark Souls Soul level 1 runs but in warframe. Like an example a friend of mine brought up as another example besides this Zephyr Crit Recursion technique was a Xatas Whisper + Felarx build that should be capable of killing almost anything in steel path using just 2 mods (But obviously it'd have problems with surviving). (I haven't been able to test it much since my Xaku isn't maxed and I haven't fed it to the wall yet to put xata's on any other frame)
  3. That's really really true, I mean my most-used weapon the Quanta Vandal sees basically 0 use anywhere else because it's a really old weapon. By Garbage here though I'm trying to go for a more objective definition of "Literally 1-3 mods on a gun", which is a little more quantifiable.
  4. It's funny, the thread definitely has ballooned outside of my original intentions of sharing/exploring different ways to kill steel path mobs with absolute garbage, but doing that survival was a pretty fun challenge so I don't mind at all.
  5. Hope you'll excuse my use of a riven, probably would've been real rough without. (It gets more interesting around 3 minutes in when I get invaded by the Red veil)
  6. Uploading rn! It's a bit longer of a vid so it'll take a couple minutes Yeah that's the intended way to get around it, unfortunately they tend to spawn beind me/two of them spawn to either side of me so i'm screwed (the two ways I died my first attempt)
  7. Mmm okay yeah I tried a couple runs, it works okayish but arson eximi absolutely oneshot you unless you always roll into their flames (no rolling guard or negate is brutal). I'll try with silence subsumed onto my zephyr, that might make it doable
  8. Oh, there must've been an understanding, this was specifically about ways to kill enemies with the fewest amount of mods possible, I think for an actual steel path run of some sort you'd need at least like 5-6 mods to be able to sustain an energy economy for your protective abilities and deal enough damage to survive (assuming it's something like a kuva survival). I'll give it a shot though, I'll try and see if I can make 6 mods across an entire build work (one of them will probably need to be vacuum if i'm to do survival)
  9. Yeah, the zephyr I was using had no mods to help with shieldgating at all though (the decaying dragon key was just a net negative if anything) - turbulence thankfully protects you enough that the only time you actually need to rely on shieldgate is when turbulence goes down. Having something like brief respite + decaying dragon key is just insurance for really long runs.
  10. Yeah I use that to help with shieldgating on my normal setup, forgot to take it off because it's become second nature to have it on. (Probably didn't skew the test by much anyways)
  11. Oh good point yeah (although honestly any method, riven or not, that is able to deal 18 million ehp worth of damage within a reasonable amount of time on just a handful of mods is interesting to see imo)
  12. Time to kill is significantly less consistent (not necessarily longer always but can be), I think this'd be impossible with unpaused AI
  13. Should function about the same, a bit worse though, just use point strike or critical decceleration, i'll try recording a clip of it (probably with paused AI just because enemy movement can be annoying in making it work)
  14. After messing around a bit more with Zephyr's Crit Recursion, and seeing how easy it was to cut through tough steel path units with extremely "weak" setups, I wondered what the actual bare minimum amount of mods you'd need to be able to fare somewhat well in Steel Path would be (Or in my case, minimum amount of mods to kill level 160 steel path corrupted gunners). Eventually I was able to whittle it down to 3 mods across my entire build; Hunter Munitions, Vital Sense, and a Quanta Vandal Riven. (No Arcanes, no Operator Abilities, (Except for passives since I don't think you can disable those)) (I had some archon shards I didn't feel like taking off though) I'm interested in what other strategies people have to deal with "tough" mobs with the absolute bare minimum of mods. I'm sure there's a ton of really cool obscure warframe tech that can be used to accomplish something like that. (I wonder if there's even setups that can kill groups of steel path enemies without any mods at all)
  15. After seeing some buzz surrounding Zephyr's weirder mechanics and jank around Tornado, thought i'd make a quick (20 minute lol) guide to some of the most commonly asked questions. (Ie, why Nataruk, Incarnon Weapons, and other guns have weird crit tiers when shot into tornadoes, how to make electric weapons deal infinite damage bleed procs, and also why trumna can sometimes but not always refill its alt fire when shot into tornadoes now) It's my first ever time doing video editing or script writing so please give feedback, I really have no idea what i'm doing lol
