  1. I like the changes to the Kuva Lich System. The slow grind towards that perfect 60% feels worthwhile compared to the old, "Jokes on you, another 25% roll." I can hunt Kuva Lich's for hours. Blazing through nodes, carving through thralls, trying different requiems hoping to get lucky. Then finally, I figure out the last requiem and...I don't have that one.

Now I have to run Requiem Fissures. I suddenly lose all momentum and motivation. Then I log out or find something else to do.

The current system for farming Requiem Mods is the last unchanged mechanic of the original Kuva Lich implementation. It was hot garbage then and it is hot garbage now. Drop rates of the relics themselves are irrelevant and the "consolation prizes" for not getting the Requiem Mod you need are lacking.  Having to run Fissures completely breaks the Kuva Lich hunting gameplay loop and spending precious void traces on requiem relics feels really, really bad.

Potential Solution A  (Requiem Relics Go, Streamline the Loop)

    - We need a quest or something introducing us to the Kuva Lich system. During, or after, completion we acquire one of each Requiem Mod.

    - Kuva Thralls now drop Requiem Traces in addition to filling up your Requiem Murmurs. Those Requiem Traces are fused with Requiem Mods to "charge them up" for use.

    - Requiem Fissures, Requiem Relics go away.

    - Everything else about the Kuva Lich System remains the same.

    - When you use the last "charge" on a Requiem Mod it doesn't "break". You just fuse more Requiem Traces into it.

    - If DE wanted to get cute, even failed "guesses" could consume one "charge". They would just have to strike the right balance between, "I'm always out of traces", and, "I have a useless pile of traces".

Potential Solution B (Requiem Relics Stay, Better Consolation Prizes)

    • Common Drops
      • Requiem Mod or,
      • Requiem Mod or,
      • 5 Amber Ayatan Star
    • Uncommon Drops
      • 2500 Kuva or,
      • Relic I & II - 2 Riven Slivers
      • Relic III & IV - Sah Ayatan Scuplture
    • Rare Drops
      • Relic I  - Orta Ayatan Sculpture
      • Relic II - 5000 Kuva
      • Relic III - Exilus Weapon Adapter Blueprint
      • Relic IV - Exilus Warframe Adapter Blueprint

    You need to play more.

You need to have an average play time of 168 hours per week.

    Leave your wife.

    Leave your kids.

    Leave your family.

    Sleep less.

Leave your job. Warframe is your new job.

You can eat while you play.

You can take a bath while you play.

Do a number 1 or 2 while you play.

    Don't have a life.

That's how you get to endgame and be a vet and why we can never surpass them.

Yes, a weak ship makes everyone else weak. However, a strong ship makes everyone else strong. Trying to mess with this is a double-edged sword which will end up cutting you the moment you try flying your own.

    Well, there it is.

You're argument is better than mine and I agree with your assessment .

This thread is really uncomfortable. There is a notable lack of snark and no one is being a jerk

    I don't like it.

  4. It's kind of a bummer when you hop onto another Tenno's Railjack to find that their guns are trash. It makes it kind of difficult to carry a less kitted out player when the only way to help them is by leaving them in the ship while you merp everything in your archwing. It's also not consistent with how everything else in Warframe works. If I go to Earth to farm and end up with a New Player as Host I don't get stuck with a Skana and Braton.

I would propose that Railjack guns be handled exactly like Arch Guns/Heavy Weapons.

    • You would acquire the blue prints and parts via more familiar means, clan research, syndicates, mission drops, etc.
    • They would be mod-able and require their own Railjack specific mods Upgrade-able with Dirac instead of Endo.
    • You would equip your preferred Railjack weapon the same way you choose your Arch Heavy Weapon in the Arsenal.
    • Manning any weapons station would give you access to your chosen Railjack Weapon.
    • Your Railjack weapon would receive additional buffs from the Host's Railjack if the appropriate Avionics are installed.

Instead of farming for RNG weapons you would farm them that same way you farm everything else. The grind is drawn out by requiring the usual tasks we are familiar with (programmed to do).

Farm Blueprint / Parts > Farm Mods > Apply Dirac > Apply Forma > Farm Mods > Apply Dirac > Apply Forma > and on > and on > and on, until we are satisfied with the build.

There was no reason to reinvent the wheel here. The Railjack modding and avionics are great but the RNG Guns are a resounding, "Meh." I would much rather grind for mods with guaranteed bonuses that I can invest in over time. This method is proven to get players Logging In, Grinding, and Buying Forma / Potatoes. It also feels less "Mobile F2P" than the current Repair Drones.

  5. Why on earth would I use any of the Mk I or Mk II Clan Sigma components?

In a little over 9 days I'll have researched everything in the dry dock and the cost to fabricate Mk III's are negligible. During those 9 days if a better "House" component dropped, well that's just gravy on top.

If someone joins a clan that already has the research done they don't even have to wait 9 days, just grind for a week until the have the materials to fabricate Mk III's.

Same issue with with "House" Mk I weapons and components. Why would I waste resources on any of that.

    What's the point?

As far as I can tell my best course of action is hold out for Sigma Clan Mk III research to finish unless I get a fantastic Mk II or decent Mk III "House" drop.

  6. Concur. No one should be able to access navigation except the Host.

There should be two ways for a crew member to leave a mission

    • Abort to Orbiter during the mission.
    • Return to Orbiter after mission completion.

There should be three ways for the host to leave a mission.

    • Abort to dry dock during the mission (with crew)
    • Return to dry dock after mission completion. (with crew)
    • Travel to new node after mission completion. (with crew)

  7. How is the "Refine" supposed to work. Can DE please explain what their intentions are so we can tell when it is, and isn't, working as intended.

At launch, payloads were being replenished every time you returned to the dry dock. Surprise! That was a bug and was supposedly fixed. Of course then players were justifiably angry that hosts were getting stuck with the tab for replenishing the payload if some random clicked the refine button before topping things off.

Now it's back to automatically replenishing my payload upon return to the dry dock. Even when I don't refine. Even when I don't even loot the field.

Is this a bug again or did DE cave in and make the bug a feature? Is this costing me materials behind the scenes? I have no clue because DE won't explain how they intended this system to work. There is no tutorial, nothing in the Wiki and the Resource Forge description in the release notes has no useful info. Can we please get some clarification on Payloads and Refining.

My bad, didn't know Zetki had bad reactors. For pretty much every avionic and weapon Zetki has the highest percentage (at the same rank) or DPS. I didn't realize the system components were so skewed. But I guess the descriptions about the trade-offs make sense now.

Zekti weapons also have serious heat issues to balance for their ridiculous damage. You almost have to have a polar coil mod to make them work.

Complaining about the highest tier as a drop. Maybe you misheard something, bud. Zetki is the highest tier there is. At least know what you're complaining about before complaining.

    Wiki says no...

    Lavan MK III   23 - 70 Capacity / 40 - 200 Flux

    Vidar MK III    35 - 100 Capacity / 20 - 100 Flux

    Zetki MK III    10 - 50 Capacity / 50 - 300 Flux

You sure you didn't just have a good Engineer who topped stuff off before Refining?

Nope. I ran a few solo nodes on Earth to verify. Then I just started running low level nodes and spamming Seekers and Artillery for easy farming.

After every mission I'd hit the Dojo to scrap mods and I'd always check my Payload. It was always full.

    Not anymore.

  11. I noticed prior to 27.0.5 that as long as I completed a mission successfully my payload would always stay topped off. No matter how many Dome Charges, Ordnance, Revolite I consumed I would always have a full load upon returning to the Dry Dock.

    This has apparently been fixed.

Make sure you are checking Payload before/after/between missions or you might get a nasty surprise.

I think the most important takeaway from this is to never pub railjack

I've been playing pubs exclusively since launch. These problems do occur but not often enough to negatively impact my experience. I think most people are still just learning the ropes. As time goes by a "Railjack Etiquette" will surely be normalized. There will always be trolls, but I think people really exaggerate their prevalence because drama makes for better posting than unicorns and rainbows.

  13. It's having a similar effect on me. I repaired one item and promptly decided not to repair anything else until the community decides which MK III stats are "acceptable". Until then I'm sticking to clan researched components. I could care less about "god roles".

Lets say this whole "random roll" thing is the route DE is going to take and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

Would you rather have the current random percentage ranges, which result in items being "good" or "bad"?

Or would you rather have a pool of random perks, whose values are set, which results in some items being "ok" and some items being "better" depending on your play style?

  14. - Knowing that even if the Host's turrets are trash I can use my Warframe as a kamikaze over and over and over again.

    - Archwing Slingshotting into Crew Ships never gets old.

    - One shotting fighters with my Arca Plas...I mean Cryophon.

    - Cy throwing shade on boarding parties before and after I slaughter them.

    - Seemlessly transitioning from inside Railjack, to an Archwing suicide run, into a tileset for traditional Warframe mayhem.

    - Being wrong about Damage Control. I actually enjoy it occasionally.

  15. Mission rewards screen showed that I had 34 Intrinsics .

Intrinsics Tab in Drydock only shows 28.

Next Mission Reward Screen showed 29.

    Intrinsics Tab shows 30.

I thought it seemed off on a few occasions so I started comparing after every mission.

Even at very low levels the Railjack is a joke compared to crew ships. Not even MK1 weapons are such a joke when you start the game for first time and you don't need to steal enemy weapons to kill them.

Crew Ships are the Grineer equivalent of your Railjack. You are meant to use ordinance, forward artillery, or board them to destroy the reactor.

  17. DE hands you gear with only half the mod capacity available and no polarized slots.

    > You can unlock that mod capacity with a potato that can be earned through grind and RNG and waiting for special alerts...oooor you can pay for them with Plat.

    > Your gear is still trash but you can polarize your slots with Forma that you earn through grind and RNG and then wait 24 Hrs to build it...oooor you can buy Forma with Plat.

    > Some of your gear has an Exilus Slot that requires an Exilus Mod to unlock. Exilus Blueprints have to be earned through grind and RNG and also require a built Forma and then you can wait 24 Hrs to build it...oooor you can buy it with Plat.

    > You needs good mods to unlock your gear's full potential. They can be earned through grind and RNG...oooor you can buy them from other players with Plat.

    > Those Mods need tons of Endo to unlock their full potential which you can earn through grind and RNG...oooor you can buy Endo with Plat.

    > Fully upgraded Mods use up a lot of mod capacity...need more Forma...see above.

You see where I'm going with this? There are tons of weapons, dozens of frames, prime weapons and frames, Archwings, etc. etc.

Complaining about pay2win in a free to play PVE game is just silly.

It is literally DE's business model and you're just now figuring it out?

  18. What does Railjack currently offer?

Nothing. Its a new shiny toy.

But in the grand scheme of things, I thinks its huge. Just imagine the following:

Warframe missions planet side would continue to be played the same way they are now.

Some Warframe missions in orbit would continue to be played the same way they are now.

New hybrid Warframe/Archwing content would take place in orbit but with emphasis on the traditional Warframe gameplay.

New hybrid Archwing/Warframe content would also take place in orbit but with emphasis on new Archwing gameplay.

New Railjack content would take place in Proxima and be a hybrid of all three game modes with emphasis on Railjack Combat with some missions having an Archwing objective and other mission having a Warframe objective.

The opening to The War Within was the first mission to hybridize Archwing and Warframe gamplay into a single mission. It's debatable if it was "good" or "well executed" but it was a sneak peak into what I think DE envisions for Warframe.

I, for one, am totally onboard with this. The concept has mind boggling potential.
