  1. Nightmare missions are basically just a modifier, and I wouldn’t be opposed to adding those modifiers to more missions. I’d probably like an extra planet just so Deimos doesn’t feel as crowded, though. It’s difficult to tell which nodes are a part of which section of the planet.
  2. My speculation is that each Warframe we encounter is like a snapshot of a particular individual person with their own personality and experiences, and by being based on a person instead of just a suit you can put on to gain abilities, it doesn't leave a lot of room to have alternate sex/gender versions of that person. I'm open to the idea of anyone being able to "wear" a Warframe and could easily see that being a thing back in the Orokin era when there were many Dax and other soldiers, but I think by the time we get to use our version of those Warframes, they always happen to be of one particular person
  3. Some are good at damage output, like the Helstrum and Verglas, which are also a bit further down the progression line than the standard sentinel weapons. The Artax is pretty decent when paired with the Nautilus' pull ability, or enemy grouping abilities in general. So less for its damage, more for its support. Given that it's the default weapon for the starter sentinel, it's somewhat understandable
  4. As far as I remember, it's exactly the same as Zariman: do bounties for standing, pick up collectables for bonus trade-in standing. The only real difference I noticed were louder pickups, a lack of constant harassment from Thrax (and no arcane drops, but that slightly changed with those Gruzzling enemies) and having more "end-game" things to do besides bounties. And no Dormizone clone, I guess, if that counts for anything Deimos tokens were the best implementation, but the whole trading system with every syndicate member having its own token was way more complicated than it needed to be, plus you could miss out on better standing gains if you didn't know about things like Grandmother tokens or her Brew trades. The whole token system was good at its core, but it just felt really scattered I think if they could change anything, the points system should be changed to a daily spending limit, and then uncap the amount of standing you can gain from doing missions. No more wasted standing from caps, while retaining the "drawback" of earning more than can be spent before your daily reset
  5. Sounds like it goes beyond the scope of a companion app, which for me should just be a notification system and a way to manage some foundry stuff. If I have to actually do minigames or play the app, which isn't even a thing in the game itself, then that should be added to the main game.
  6. Too many bits of lore have piled up over the years that have effectively killed that idea, like the human host reveal, so there would have to be a lot of retconning if this toggle was ever added. At the same time... I really personally couldn't care less if a warframe is male or female, the gameplay is what matters most to me, and there is nothing to the combat that changes by being a male or female (or Xaku). The interesting option IMO is the brother-sister idea, where male and female derivatives come with their own unique playstyles, like Volt vs. Gyre, where they only incidentally happen to be opposite genders. It goes further than just a cosmetic toggle, even though that's not the idea behind having that sort of toggle.
  7. Sure, the option to find games on your own platform would be fair. That still doesn't mean taking away the ability to make your own servers is fair for those players.
  8. I don't mind burst-fire weapons really, and that's effectively what the transformation is. The problems are the forced un-zooming, the insane recoil that feels really disorienting and impossible to aim with, and the fact that it only has four trigger-pulls before it runs out of incarnon fuel. I just don't even bother transforming it because it's over before I even know it.
  9. QTEs will get old super quickly in a game that expects you to repeatedly replay missions for the grind Sirroco style reloads would be fine in tasteful amounts, per weapon. Some bows also have "perfect shots". This also made me think of how the Corinth tends to knock enemies upwards, and I'd like something like a gimmick that buffs hits on launched enemies.
  10. I've only ever tried a few, but out of those, I liked the Paris, Boltor, Latron, Lato, Dual Toxocysts, Despair. The Miter incarnon is alright, the transformation on its own doesn't really do much for me. But I do have a multishot riven, and that makes the transformation way more fun since it ends up shooting a ton of projectiles I do like the Vasto as a stat buff, but not for its actual incarnon transformation (it may actually be one of the worst "weapons" I have ever used)
  11. I like my spoopy monster-girl skeleton horse girl, that theme appeals to me. She is way too overtuned for anything below Steel Path, though. Most of the time I just toggle her 3 on and go with my guns, which suits my playstyle perfectly fine. But I would never have farmed her if I hadn't been able to playtest her in the Circuit, because that farm and the dojo requirement are absurd and her gameplay is not super meta-redefining or anything.
  12. Hello old thread If you haven't found your answer yet, Voruna is fun if you give her a bit of range, and use her 2 to lunge at enemies from ridiculous long distances
  13. Are you actually using all of your rivens, or are you just a hoarder who is too lazy to sell unused rivens like I am?
  14. If you think these servers are unfair to controller users, grab a PC and build your own console server. There is no reason to take that away from PC users just because console users may or may not be at a control disadvantage.
  15. Which is only useful for melee and offers nothing interesting to gunplay, and is actually a detriment if you care about precision shooting One thing to keep in mind with blast balance is considering all of the explosives/AoE guns with innate Blast damage, more or less as their default damage because Blast is "explosive". So the first thing that needs to be done is giving AoE Blast guns their own "explosive" damage, sort of like a new physical damage type like Impact/Puncture/Slash. Then we can start thinking about how to turn the actual Heat Cold combo into something that can be useful on any weapon, whether it's a gun, melee, or even when it's modded back onto AoE guns
  16. This could be interesting, if Kahl was playable outside of three whole missions
  17. I'm of the opposite opinion: Unless the passive is required for their concept (like Zephyr's fall speed), passives should be minor and there are too many that are overpowered. Most of this thread's buffs lean too far towards the OP side. Especially any "team-share" passives, those should be part of an active ability.
  18. Beam weapons already work this way, they need to be fired for a second before dealing full damage Overheat also exists in a way, with battery weapons. You don't wait for an overheated weapon to cool down, but you wait for your magazine to recharge itself. Different themes but mechanically identical The one thing beam weapons don't have yet is increasing the fire rate as you fire, i.e. a spooled weapon in beam form
  19. Lex, Sepulcrum, Magnus Prime come to mind Arca Scisco sounds almost like a Star Wars blaster The Protokol Spectre pistol reskin also sounds good
  20. Think about how we got an enemy/ally highlight feature, for accessibility purposes, and how only we see our own effects there because they're only relevant to us. A transparency option that intended to aid the player is more like that. It's colour-customizable because not everyone's eyes handle colours the same, but the fashion aspect isn't really its main purpose. Invisibility abilities aren't designed for accessibility purposes like freeing up screen space, they're designed for gameplay purposes like stealthing around enemies. That's why the effects remain visible to other players and why they got a fashion option other players can see.
  21. If "hundreds of plastids" are what concerns you, then I wish I could donate my billions of plastids I've accumulated over time
  22. I can already accomplish this by quick-meleeing to swing, and then aiming to bring out my gun to shoot. And honestly, that being so easy now is what makes gunblades feel redundant to me
  23. Looks like Tonfas to me. Give it a reskin and we're good to go, I guess
