  1. Actually, all of the newly released content, that was designed to be more difficult, actually was proven to be so...to the majority of the player base. Forum "elite" don't count and should NEVER be counted. We share tips, tricks and builds as soon as one of us figures out the meta. We should know this thanks to the infamous amp numbers for Eidolon hunts. We constantly ruin our own experiences and then point to the devs for not making something challenging enough. In contrast, we see many pub players, chats messages and the forum posters struggling with Eidolons, begging for Railjack taxis, hunting for SP builds, upset about common sense nerfs and changes, etc. All of this isn't a bad thing, but it should be used as indicators as to why DE balances the challenge and domination aspects of the game. A select few of us post about how easy the game is...and the names are SUPER common. Maybe 10-15 posters tops...out of millions of players and thousands of registered forum users. Meanwhile, a FLOOD of first time posters write about nerfs like Wukongs, void dash and the AOE changes. This easily tells us why DE's decisions not as bad as we portray.
  2. I think a bottom floor option could work. Similar to the purchasable room on the Zariman, DE could offer a special elevator that gives access to three additional rooms for decorating only. Since it is cosmetic only and doesn't effect any part of the game's progression, it definitely would not hurt to have it.
  3. I think this is what this Neutracells, and SP in general, are already designed to be, so you're definitely aligned with DE with the Idea. The issue is that some players want to be able to partake in every mode AND keep it as easy as possible by not allowing compromises or restrictions. They want the old way and the new way you mentioned to be virtually the same way. Looking at some of the comments, the issue comes all the way back to the tired difficulty/challenge debate. Someone is always going to try to convince others that the game has some sort of design issue because *insert talking point here*. The reality is that DE is doing exactly what you mentioned, and it is working, so they should just stay the course and maintain the two path system: Normal star chart/SP star chart, Circuit/SP Circuit, Eidolon/Tridolon, standard Eyes/60 Eyes, etc.
  4. But that removes a critical income source to sustain the game. Neither DE nor the players could afford to have that as an option.
  5. I think this is the major disconnect of some of the players vs what the game actually is trying to do. What you think is bad game design is actually you trying to paint the RNG as something it is not supposed to do for us. What the RNG is doing is giving us the challenge to use the weapons we claimed we mastered, according to our inventory. The game doesn't care if a player decided to call a weapon fodder or trash, and that is because that is a very, VERY subjective statement. Instead, the game is saying "you mastered this weapon/frame? Ok, prove it! Let's see what you can do with this combination. If you can prove yourself, then here's a prize". That's all. That's important to keep in mind because nearly every weapon and frame is going to have players who favor them. Further, there will be players that will have builds that would greatly simplify the missions. In fact, this would be where the skilled builders and the meta players will be exposed. We've seen this before in SP Circuit, and this new mode will be lower leveled so it will be even more apparent. Either way, being asked to use what we chose to keep is not bad idea. After all, we kept the weapons/frames, mastered them, and used them for about 98% of the game...so why should the system not honor us with a mode like this?
  6. The issue here is the player base would explode on the forums about being "annoyed" at the tougher enemies, using every talking point possible as the reasoning: too bullet spongy, to hard to hit the weak point, why must I use magnetic damage, why must I use my operator amp, why damage attenuation, why this and I don't want to do that. We've all seen these patterns before and nothing DE does is going to change that. I think the solution is for DE to just keep going forward as they were. There are just too many players, of too many genres of gaming, with way too many emotional states, and at too many different levels of play in this game for any harder type of play or any restrictions based gameplay to go unscathed. Fortunately, DE is actually doing a terrific job of trying ideas and players are coming up with great ideas for DE to try. As long as that's the preferred path, (instead of the insults), then I say let's enjoy and try to stay within the reasonable bounds.
  7. First, that is a MAJOR lie. That is not how the industry works. Yes, there are biases, but not to the level of what you are suggesting (and yes, I work in the industry and have been behind the scenes of the Emmys, Oscars, CMAs and VGAs). Honestly don't like when people throw stuff like this out. In DE's case, Warframe has earned its right to be top tier enough to win awards. The game has kept a very large audience happy and has done so for over a decade. I don't know what your definition of success is, but managing an omnidirectional player base for over 10 years is a stratospheric accomplishment all gaming companies would kill for.
  8. Both you and @Raikh raise good points but it all lines up with what makes up some of the endgame elements. "Forced" co-op happens in raids too, but, luckily, Warframe always allows solo to work. It should be a lot harder though, similar to when Railjack first came out. That supports the overall satisfaction of success. The nicer picture is that you don't have to just play with any ole randoms. Recruiting does work and shouldn't be shun away so easily. in regards to having an even larger motivation to take on the new system, I don't necessarily disagree, but I think we should give the first edition a shot first.
  9. I hope they don't though. Without a crutch, the system would allow us to work together in order to make up for any shortcomings. What's cool about that is each player has their favorites, meaning what one may consider trash (because they most likely just don't like the weapon/frame), another player may excel with them. More importantly, I really don't want these rewards to be obtained so dang simply and quickly. We already have the cheese path for about 99% of everything already. Let's allow a game mode to have a level of elusiveness, some frustration and even some luck to be factors in an endgame mode. At the most, we can see potential meme runs land in a skilled player's hands and create some hella cool memories. IMO, of course.
  10. I need to locate these non-mk1 (and stug) weapons then! I've used non rivened kunai in SP before as a clan joke...and it wrecked corpus units and the infested. Please give us a list of these weapons that can't handle level 60 enemies. I, honestly, can't find them.
  11. I've used Frost, Hildryn and Loki. Loki is an absolute cheat code because he doesn't need strong weapons to be devastating across the board. Irradiating disarm and a subsumed fire blast with healing flames will work together to keep a high duration invisible Loki alive and out of harms way. Fire Blast strips armor while disarm turns enemies away from the defense objectives and toward each other, beating each other to death. Frost, with nourish, does the non invisible Loki thing, but exchanges aggro reduction for freezing CC. Avalanche for overguard and armor strip. As for Hildryn, I was lucky enough to get the Rakta Dark Dagger in the mission. It's trait reduces enemy line of sight but, most importantly, adds shield for every radiation proc in a melee strike. This means killing her is nearly impossible. I also subsumed her 1 for Daggaths 1 for the viral and stat procs, and the combo worked better than expected...although I may change it for fire blast (for the CC, knockdown and armor strip strip boost) or silence.
  12. I wouldn't mind a new intrinsic category (utility only) but I would rather reduce decrees instead of gaining more. In fact, I would love a "no decree" mission because I actually enjoyed SP Duviri without using decrees and by only selecting the first decree. It just felt better to me, having to master a near no damage defense system and relying more on headshots to get by. It was a fun break from being superman in Duviri. 😂 For Railjack, I just want more missions and the next chapter involved. An 11th intrinsic would be nice but I'd rather stretch the legs of my monster of a ship and chase down enemy fighters with my friends or my crazy NPC crew.
  13. I agree 100%. Having changes of pace from the norms of Warframe is a really nice refresher. Having to use combinations that are outside of metas is exactly why I find myself always enjoying way more combinations than I would normally use. I've never been a meta follower, so maybe that's the reason, but to each their own.
  14. This. Also, if I remember correctly, Xaku was another frame that used the parts of different frames, so they're technically 4 frames in one, no? Xaku also has only 3 of its abilities known, meaning they could be the first ever prime frame that has a completely different ability than the original. If that's the case, then I'm excited to see it happen!!
  15. Then everything that involves humans can't win that award. I don't think the whole Warframe community should get punished because some humans decide to do some bad human things.
  16. For even more insanity, try Parasitic Armor and boost your shields. Power strength greatly affects both abilities and easily sets you up for 6-7 digit overguard.
  17. Honestly, it's always been like this but originally on a smaller scale. As the game grew, so did the amount of the "rushframe" player base. The game itself hasn't really changed the team play or anything it was famous for. It all comes down to more players = more TYPES of players
  18. I'm on board here! She would, technically, be the second Warframe with an active companion that draws aggro, attacks and can provide protection. I think I would balance the newly suggested toggle feature with reduced damage reduction while off Merulina. This would offset the enhanced offensive/CC gains. Sign me up on the petition board!
  19. I think a series would be more appropriate. I just started watching The Avatar series on Netflix and it is a significantly better version than the movie attempt. Halo and The Witcher are also great conversions. Warframe has one of the deepest stories in gaming, IMO, and could very easily create a successful series. Plus, knowing how DE loves to spread lore breadcrumbs across every aspect of the Warframe brand, I could see a live version of Parvos Granum story and the Ordis story, keeping the warframes and Tenno basically as out of it as possible. The cool thing here is that we get to see justice done to great characters in the game...however that would also mean that the game takes a content hit by not having that same story unfold as an update.
  20. Ok, here's where we get a little too far on one side and I don't think that's right. In DE's case, the players' voices speak VERY LOUDLY. If the vast majority wanted something to return (truly vast, not just 15 out of the top 30 forum posters), then it's a strong chance DE would step in and make that change, especially if it makes sense...regardless of financial gain or loss. We've all seen this happen. So I don't think we should be trying to call out DE for moves that we, the players, usually call for. Regarding the wording on packs, I, personally, have always associated the "limited-time" with the packs themselves , and not all of the items, unless they specifically discuss the items. The Heirloom packs had crystal clear wording that they are not coming back but the support packs have items that don't mention any wording about any individual items never coming back. The combination that makes the package, however, may not return but the individual items may be bundled up in another package in the future. Package time versus individual items time are very different, just like buying a video games system bundle.
  21. I think removing lifted status, or making it exclusive to heavy slam and some warframe abilities only, would solve a lot of the stance issues. Personally, I like how the combos can be mixed together, creating new combos and completely changing the dynamics of the attacks. I guess this was DE's intent but I've not heard of many people doing this.
  22. It's also one of the fastest leveling missions in the game due to the amount of eximis units and the absurdly high xp they give. It's actually faster than Hydron
