  1. This last mission, when I attached to the Orthowyrm near the head, I got the prompt "Open the Pathos valve?" I had never seen it before, and answered "yes." After that, I couldn't seem to attach to the head and enter as I have before. What does "Open the Pathos valve" mean? Have they changed the encounter, or have I just never encountered this question before? Thanks!! Jeger
  2. Assuming that you have all the evolutions, do you have to get the Magistrar into incarnon mode during your mission to get the crit stats, or do you get it automatically when equipping the weapon?
  3. I also had a great deal of trouble with that quest. It was ten times the irritation, because it locked me out of the rest of the game while I was figuring it out. I ended up taking on Nira first, because I found it easiest. Mostly just peaking around corners and sniping. When my smokescreen was up, I cast it and stepped in. I seemed to be safe there and got in some damage. When my health got low, I ran until it was back up. I had my wife announce when my heal or smokescreen was up so I didn't have to watch and could focus on the action. (She's wonderful.) I found Amar too hard, and didn't do him until I got my frame back. Boreal was the one I did second. You have to save the smokescreen to stop her heals. You throw the grenade so the cloud crosses the edge of her scream. Then you can walk in through it, and get in a shot to stop her heal, and probably a couple more before she's active again. Hint: If she disappears, she probably teleported behind you. God bless! Jeger.
  4. Well, I figured out a way to complete it. My objection to the quest wasn't how hard it was, but rather that it forced a type of play and disabled the rest of Warframe until you finished it. Anyway, I have Warframe back. :)
  5. No - none of my 70-year-old friends even play computer games. I am unique. :D If there is anyone in the Eugene-Springfield Oregon area that wants to help, I will buy them lunch. :)
  6. That's a good thought - thanks. However, I don't think you understand the effort it would take to change how my fingers are programmed at my age. :) I have played the game for years using a bullet-jump/ranged-weapon model. I recognize that melee/dodge is often better, but my brain can't process information that rapidly any more. Up until now, I have done all the content. Reprogramming my fingers to use dodge would probably be a multiple-week effort repeating (and failing) that same quest over-and-over (and-over-and-over). I fully expected to be able to complete the quest. Now that I can't, I find I can't play Warframe either. It doesn't seem like a wise design decision on DE's part. Happy New Year! Edit: If I could assign keys to dodge-left and dodge-right, I think I could make it work, but I don't think I can.
  7. For me it is. Perhaps it is being 71 years old. Perhaps it is because I never use dodge in Warframe, but prefer bullet-jumping, which won't work in this mode. Perhaps it is because the finger I would use to press dodge has been dislocated multiple times from when I played basketball and no longer functions well. Perhaps it is because I need to get gud. Whatever the reason, it's hard for me, and telling me it isn't does not help at all. I have watched the youtube videos, and they are mostly (all?) from before they changed how the archons behave. Now they teleport much more.
  8. Easy for some. I am stuck here after far more than "several hours" I can't get past the Wild Hunt. The idea that starting a quest would lock you out from playing any other part of warframe was a bad one. Unfortunately, it looks like I am done with Warframe. :(
