Provide a resource scanner located on board your away ship, railjack, or the city/planet you are visiting/exploring.
The ability to locate certain resources in the free roam areas would make a world of difference even if it was just the concentration of the colored nodes.
I understand it may be a random generator that determines what color viens are on the map so the scanner would be more useful in the city or in the free roam area itself. (Use the Subnautica resource scanner as inspiration) at the very least narrowing down the area.
This and making more colors for the veins as well. Mining for hours on end is fine when I'm getting the items I'm searching for but getting hundreds of unwanted materials looking for just 3 stones is one of the most frustrating things I've gone through playing this game. Especially when I still have to wait 84 hours for the necramech to finish building. (Just one example of many)
Everything completed up to this point from scratch to even begin the new war quest takes nearly a week of farming, grinding, mining, building and waiting. It's a bit ridiculous and loses much of the excitement and fun I get from playing the game.
