I think it would help if the primary fire and the alt fire were switched.

I think what would be better is if the alternate fire was a toggle, much like the Stradavar. The problem lies with controllers - it is very awkward to press in the right stick to use the alternate fire. Weapons like the Zarr and Stradavar are fine, since it is a simple toggle change, though using the Hind or other weapons makes the flow feel rough compared to typical function.

I know that controllers can be rebound, but it becomes an issue of: what do I switch/sacrifice to make this work? I just feel that a toggle option for the Hind will be better in the long run. While it might infringe a bit on the territory of the Stradavar, its better than constantly mashing the right stick in order to shoot bullets.

This news was...unexpected to Seth and Niveah's reaction just made him feel strange especially when he realised he was holding something that dashed such 'hope' these Tenno called, what was this feeling he was experiencing for the crying Tenno? Was this what they call Sympathy?

"Um..." Seth cleared his throat and looked to the child for a moment before saying to Dain and Niveah "I....You have my..." he looked to the child once more before saying with almost a hint of sorrow in his voice "I'm so sorry....for your loss..."

Seth held his stomach before stumbling the clinic for a moment to get whatever air there was in his lungs but it didn't help, his stomach felt twisted, his brain felt heavy, his breathing felt laborious and his saliva felt dry, This pestilence was something more than he had felt during his time on Europa.

He retched a bit then pulled his mask up to whatever there was to call a nose and rushed back into the clinic towards the nearest biological disposal bin or whatever was considered close to a toilet in the clinic and vomited into it before dropping next to it, still feeling confused and sick.

He coughed and wheezed a bit before grabbing his Radio and saying "Doctor Raam to Adalynn...if you're not busy....see me at the clinic." he groaned and stared into the distant metaphorical spaces of his mind...

With Seth calling out to Adalynn, it sounded fairly urgent. He sounded like he needed some help. Losing a person as a valuable as Seth would be a crushing blow to the team's morale, let alone impact performance. She did not want to lose another member of her team. Since the prison cells were coincidentally close to the medical clinic, it shouldn't be that far of a walk.

"Mercy, I have some other matters to attend to. Somebody needs my help." Adalynn spoke.

"Ah. Well, I can take this matter on my own then. I appreciate what you did out there." Mercy replied.

"Jacob, give Mercy some back up. Maybe you can help her in some way or another."

Valerie turned her head half over her shoulder, looking at the hostage that cursed at her without turning her back from him. Her eyes had a malicious sparkle, but her smile was less vicious than it had been before. "No, not the only thing. The first thing. But given how you were begging for your life just minutes ago, we're the same in that." She didn't even feel bad for poking into that probably horrible experience. He shouldn't have shouted at her. "And Tenno are just as diverse as humans. If you lump us together, should I assume all humans are victims or criminals? There are some who'll fit your romantic ideal of honor, don't you worry. Just don't look at me." The fact that her second statement kinda had some truth to it might just make the insult worse. But to her, honor was just another way of enslaving people's minds. Blackmailing them with their own conscience. Something that would hold her back.

When she heard Mercy say something about a caught Tenno, Valerie's attention was attracted.
"Oh, it's you! Damn, you look awful! They didn't prod you in the stomach, did they?" she asked, speaking the first thing that came to mind, directed directly at Xyrha. But then she was already being commanded away, and didn't appear to have any say in that. Pity. "Maybe we'll get to share a drink one day!" she called after the guards and their captive.

Adalynn pointed at the Saryn, her finger waving her over.

"You're coming with me. We're going to the clinic." The Nyx said bluntly.

After a brief jog, they'd reach the medical clinic, seeing Seth hungover a garbage can. A very much peculiar sight, but her eyes were affixed to the display of Dain and Niveah, with the doctor holding the baby. From the sounds of Niveah sobbing, it didn't look good.

    Numb....

He felt numb. Cold, numb... The world was frozen. Frozen in a moment in time. The doctors sorrow filled face, the unmoving shape in his arms, Niveah's face caught between the joy of birth... and the utter, heart wrenching, despairing mix of horror and unknowable sorrow.

Then the moment broke, Niveah was in tears, Seth had vanished after an honest, if awkward, attempt of showing sympathy.

He did the only thing he could. He pulled Niveah into his arms, holding her close, letting her tears run down his armour. He was dimly aware of her pleading question, the question that every mother who lost a child at birth asked.

'Why? Why God have you taken my child from me? Why, before I ever had a chance to know them?'

    'Why?'

His own tears began to flow, silent streams down his face, running into his regrowing stubble.

Over the shoulder of his crying love, he could see the doctor looking somewhat baffled. He could understand why. To see a Tenno breakdown so utterly was rare, and their actions before this hell in reality had crafted an image of unrelenting killers, some with honour, some without. But heartwrenching sorrow was not something a Tenno had shown before.

"We are still human," he said quietly to the doctor, voice raw with emotion. "In the end, the difference between Tenno and human is small. We love, we laugh, we cry, we hate." He ran a hand through Niveah's hair. "We really aren't that different." He focused back on Niveah, making comforting noises, sweet nothings slipping from between his lips.

    What else could he do?

The Mesa's crying went on for a time, before turning into silent weeping. She rocked gently within Dain's arms. While she didn't hear all that much of Dain speaking, she did appreciate the moral support. Dain was her only silver lining, the only thing she had at this moment.

    "Please... never leave me..."

She kept rocking within his arms, tears still flowing.

The Doctor put the baby in a small cradle, wrapping it in some cloth and blankets. His eyes closed and gave a light sigh of discomfort. Adalynn looked over to the doctor, slowly approaching.

"So... what are you going to do with the baby?" She asked quietly.

The Doctor didn't respond for a time, still trying to process what is happening. He never said anything, leaving the basket behind. Her eyes closed.

'When will things get better? Will they ever get better...'

'You just have to hold out with hope. It will get better before it gets worse.'

A quiet, frustrated sigh escaped the thief's pursed lips shortly after her attempt to seize a guard's weapon had resulted in failure; her fingers were only able to graze the handle of the gun before her escort had pushed her away.

The sight of Feld's prison district loomed over Xyrha as she was unwillingly dragged through the main entrance, her hands clenched into tight fists as she pulled against her restraints. As the guards forced her through the hallways of the prison complex, she recognized the others from their previous encounter outside of the settlement; however, she hoped that they had not remembered her. Unfortunately, Xyrha's hopes were proven null, as Valerie had called out to her directly.

The Mag grit her teeth at the mention of her wound. As far as she knew, her captors were unaware of her injury. Seth's careful stitching and bandaging was hidden under a fabric scarf she had wrapped around her midsection. Xyrha could only hope that the guards had not heard Valerie, or that they disregard her statement. The last thing she needed right now was for her relentless captors to find out about her weakness. The Mag opened her mouth, about to respond to Valerie, but her escorts had once again proceeded to drag her off.

In the ensuing moments, the thief found herself forced to stand in front of the masked woman, whom she could only presume to be the one in charge. Xyrha stared at Mercy with an icy glare as the guards stated her misdemeanors. She was only able to mutter a sarcastic "Oops," before the masked woman barked out orders.

She frowned at the thought of being disarmed; not only did lacking weapons and proper means of defence cause the thief great anxiety, but she did not want to surrender her bow to anybody, nevermind her captors. Weapons could be easily replaced, but memories could not.

"She's going to have a little conversation."

Although Mercy's voice sounded rather innocent, these words did not sit right with Xyrha. Assumptions and possible implications floated through her mind, as worry and panic tightened their cold grip on her.

Once she was placed in what she assumed to be an interrogation room, the first thing the Mag did was attempt to kick at some of the furniture. Much to her dismay, the furnishings of the room appeared to be fastened to the floor. Letting out a quiet sigh, her eyes wandered around the room as she searched for something she might be able to use to aid her escape.

The room was a blank slate. The only thing that would be there would be the table and the chairs. A window could be seen, though determining its thickness or protective nature, it'd be hard to break through, given that they re essentially in a prison cell. Xyrha was trapped.

Mercy opened the door, closing it behind her and locking it.

"Please, take a seat." She said calmly. "The fact that you're acting shifty enough as is, gives me the impression that I should lock you up."

Mercy took a seat, clasping her hands, waiting for the rogue Tenno to take a seat. If she were to make any moves, mercy would be ready to take action.

Valerie was mildly suprised that it was Jacob who flared at her, not Adalynn. Finally the little guy showed some guts.
"Yeah well, he held it there, but if he had been serious, he just would've shot! He was a good-for-nothing-hesitant." she responded with a grin and a shake of her wild, red hair. "And yeah, I was encouraging him to take his revenge. Because it's easier to change someone's methods, than their goal. You got a lot to learn about how people tick, kiddo." As he walked off, he patted his shoulder if she could manage. "But ey, a bit of blood will make that lesson even more memorable, eh?"

As for the gunman, she was done with him except if they were taking volunteers for the execution-post. She had a fancy axe, after all. When it comes to Val, she hadn't been lying about critisizing the hostage-taker's methods - but she did lie in caring for him. She didn't care. Neither for him, nor the hostage. Jacob going to talk to that person, and what he said, made her groan.
"Do you have to be everyone's conscience? If he can deal with being taken hostage every now and then, and gets away with it, let him do his shady deals. Everyone's got their own happiness."

The Hostage was baffled by the sentiment by Valerie's statement.

"So it's like that? I thought the Tenno were something to be in awe of. I thought the Tenno were some noble sort, but I was wrong. You are all just merciless thugs, killers with no feelings. The only thing you care about is your well-being!" The hostage scoffed.

While those are just hollow words, he was vehement with his statement. Maybe he did steal something, maybe not. Adalynn did not say anything, but closed her eyes and sighed. She followed Mercy back to Feld, to a closed lock up area.

She hissed angrily at the Guards' comments, the only noise she made aside from the occasional muffled gasp when they dragged her a little to harshly, which consequently aggravated her wound.

Xyrha knew the only advantages she had were that the Guards were unaware of the fact that she was wounded, and that they appeared to have underestimated her ingenuity and knack for getting out of rough situations. Steadying her breathing, she looked around carefully for anything she could use to aid her escape.

The thief was too busy plotting her escape to pay too much attention to her distant surroundings, as such, she did not notice Koishi as she was dragged by.

Keeping a calm composure, Xyrha quickly and suddenly reached for one of the Guards' weapons.

There are two guards beside her. Something that ballsy will get her into trouble.

[Skill Check - 1-20 die rolled. Xyrha needs to roll against two guards. Guards roll 12, 17. Xyrha rolls 1. Crit. Fail!]

The Mag would have seemingly tripped over something, seeming like she wanted to cling onto the guard, maybe in desperation? The guard would brush her off. Eventually they would head to Feld's holding district, a place where they hold criminals and felons. It seemed like Feld had quite a bit of ruffians in their time, a lot of people either biding their time, or heckling others.

The guards would meet with Mercy and the small group of Adalynn, Jacob, and Valerie.

"M, this is the person we caught. She was in an area that she wasn't supposed to be in, let alone she opened fire and scared the populace."

The masked figure looked at the bound Mag.

"A caught Tenno, I see. Disarm her and put her in the PRODL Cell. She's going to have a little conversation." She said rather harmlessly.

The guards nodded and marched the woman to a secluded cell, with a firmly planted table with seats. As for the perp she bound together, she tossed him in the PRODH Cells. Adalynn knew that Mag was some trouble, but she didn't know what she was going to be in trouble for.

"Mercy, may I join you with the proceeding? With the Mag?" Adalynn asked.

"I don't see any harm in it. Just don't interrupt the questions, please." Mercy replied. It was time to go to the L Cell.

Dain finally broke his gaze away from Niveah to look at Seth.

"Hope," Dain said in a quiet voice, "you are looking at hope, the brightest beacons of hope in these dark times." His hand gently tightened around Niveah's, even as his green eyes bored into Seth, bright with emotion.

Seth blinked at Dain as he spoke before he looked at the baby before he looked at the baby once more "If this is a beacon of hope for humans in this world then couldn't it have at least looked a little less...fat and squishy?" he then tilted his head then leaned to try and listen for it to breath.

"Um...how do you check if this....Babah is alive?" asked Seth bluntly.

Niveah had smiled, looking at Dain. What she had accomplished was a miracle. She was grateful for what had been created. While Seth wasn't very enthused, more appalled if anything, he would be holding Niveah and Dain's daughter.

    --Possibly Disturbing content--

    Spoiler

However, under Seth's closer inspection, he wouldn't hear any breathing. Their daughter remained motionless within his arms, mouth open. The doctor looked over, gingerly taking the baby from Seth. Monitoring her heart... nothing. She was dead on arrival. He closed his eyes, brow furrowed with sadness, slight anger. He breathed a depressed sigh, the diagnosis wasn't going to be good.

Niveah looked over to see the doctor's concerned face, her face turned into stricken worry. She bit her lower lip. The Doctor approached Niveah, his eyes closed.

"I'm sorry." Is all he said.

The Tenno's heart sunk, eyes shut tight. She wanted to keep the tears from bellowing out of her eyes, but she couldn't stop them. Her mind completely whirring in circles. The Mesa was in the fetal position, bawling.

"Why... why... why did this happen?!" She wept.

The Doctor looked at the baby. While she looked beautiful in her own way as a newborn creation, he couldn't help but feel  baffled. He had never seen a Tenno broken up about anything. They always showed the strong side, repressing any emotion. While they were notorious for being killers, he couldn't help but feel bad about this.

    "Why..."

She couldn't hold back any of the tears, the beads traveling down her arms and legs.

    "Why..."

Valerie stayed true to her announcement and stuck to Mercy, keeping a bit of distance between them and held her head low. After all, as a Tenno, she was kind of a flashy sight, ond not a tiny person either, so she did her best to not startle the aggressor as he was slowly circled by Tenno - a mighty scary scenario for any civilan.

As for her options, there were plenty. If she could make it towards the front areas of the crowd, she might try a leaping cut with her axe while the guy was distracted - a risky gamble with a man's life. Harpooning him away from his victim was probably quicker - but quick enough?
Mercy had an even better solution by revealing a silenced weapon, which Valerie had to admit was an advantage nothing of her arsenal could offer right now. She might like it or not - the Tenno had to give the first shot in this situation to the mysterious operative.

But of course, words came first. Adalynn and Jacob stepped forward, and Valerie hastily shuffled forward through the croud, and away from Mercy to not give away her position. As the negotiations appeared to accomplish little more than stalling time, Valerie had an idea that she liked a lot.
She took off her helmet, to panic the man less, revealing a mane of red hair, kept out of her face by a grey headband. She wore a moderate amount of makeup, and had a very confident expression. Not an ugly woman, but her charm was pretty rough. She kept the helmet in her hand and stepped into the field of view for her companions, but also the hostage and its soon-maybe-murderer. Her hands were clearly visibleto him and far from any of the two weapons on her back.

"Ay, gimme a sec here, will you?" She addressed him from a proper distance, but far from tense. She felt that she could dodge and attack before the madman could aim the gun at her.
"I really know the whole revenge-thing is a mighty awesome deal, but you're really going about it wrong."
"He made your life miserable - and you just give him a quick bullet to the head? Bang and done?" She gestured a pistol to her head and a shot with her own fingers. "And then his family and friends and whatnot raise hell on you, not to mention law." A gesture that disregarded legal matters for now. The man was obviously long past that. "And most likely, you won't even get your stuff back - what he stole from you."
"It's quick way out for him, and just more S#&$ on your head. That's some mighty crappy revenge, don't you see? There's so many better ways to do it, that cause less problems!"
Until this point, Mercy might've taken action while Valerie had distracted. She considered Adalynn and Jacob too hesitant to act spontaneously with a life at stake. Maybe her next ruse would tip the scales in her favor.

"Here, lemme show you. Do you have a knife?" She held out a hand towards the Aggressor, stepping closer slowly. Not a proper advance on him, that' for sure. At this point, she might even mean what she said. Was this woman crazy enough to start cutting up a man in public? Or was she just trying to get close to the man, and rid him of a possible hidden weapon? Her body language was no hint, and her eyes were fixed upon the man she spoke to.

The fact that Valerie had stepped in, slightly reinforced his aggressive nature. He was being surrounded by people, two Tenno especially. The odds are stacked against both parties. He will certainly not live, but the hostage won't either. Mercy was getting a little annoyed at this point, seeing that the situation hasn't really de-escalated.

[Persuasion Check 1-20 die rolled. Valerie has to roll greater than the Aggressor. Aggressor rolls a 12. Valerie rolls an 11. Close.]

The gunman tightened his grip slightly, though, it was a little more relaxed than initially. He didn't necessarily like or trust Valerie. He didn't really say anything. He tugged on the hostage, moving backward slightly. Everyone was still in shock. A lot of people are watching. It is a stalemate in terms of a negotiation.

"Look, sir we don't want to hurt you, we want you to... Put. The. Gun. Down." Adalynn said calmly. "Listen to us, maybe you've got it out for the wrong person. We all want a peaceful resolution. If you set him free, the jurisdiction won't be as harsh."

[Persuasion Check 1-20 die rolled. Adalynn has to roll greater than the Aggressor. Aggressor rolls an 11. Valerie rolls an 11. Close2.]

The assailant had given Adalynn's words some thought, however he still didn't really budge. The gun was still close to the person's head. Stalemate.

"I'm getting rather tired of this..." Mercy whispered under her breath.

[Sneak Check - 1-20 die rolled. Mercy needs to roll against the gunman. Gunman rolls 3. Mercy rolls 20. Overruled2.]

Mercy sneaks up behind the aggressor, pulled back his pistol-toting arm, other hand to rip the firearm from his loose grip. She delivered a swift elbow to the side of the head, before throwing him down to the ground. She readied her pistol, foot firmly on his upper chest, near the throat. A large amount of the crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief.

"You are under arrest for disturbing the peace and threatening a person with an armed weapon." Mercy stated harshly.

The man was disoriented, he couldn't necessarily speak. Mercy turned her head to the group of individuals sent to help.

"I appreciate the effort. You all did a solid effort into trying to get the man to stop. Let's pack everything up and go home."

She didn't know where it was coming from, but honestly, a gunfight of any sorts was not something she wanted to be part of right now. She didn't panic like the others did. She simply focused. Nothing heading her way, so she assumed something ended quickly.

"I's think is okies, mister." Koishi spoke, slurping up some noodles. They were divine compared to what she had been eating. "N' your foodstuffs is super goods! Tha' recipe is specialstuffs. "I's hopes your business keeps on goin'! But I's got places to goes! Maybes. I's dunnos, actually." Koishi scratched the hat atop her head before closing the helmet. "Cya!"

And with that, she was gone. A new sense of confidence filled her mind and stomach. While it still was a bit scary here, she felt a bit more at ease. So, with a little spring to her step, she moved towards the source of the shots cautiously, the streets a little less packed as people still hid and such, and a little quieter. Just as she wanted it to be.

The food server slowly peeked his head out looking for trouble. No more gunshots or loud noises. And it looks like that the Tenno sounded fairly satisfied with her meal. He saw the note with the clean bowl and utensils. He gave a small grin before stowing the recipe away. Everyone felt a little calmer, there heads slowly eyeing the scene. People slowly came out of hiding, wondering what had happened.

Koishi wouldn't really be able to track the shot... but she will bump into someone familiar.

The thief let out a small cry of pain as she was easily taken down from the rafters and disarmed. Her vision began to blur slightly as she tried to pull herself to her feet, holding her helmet with one hand. Suddenly, she felt her arms being pulled back, before the restraints were tightened around her wrists. She stumbled back slightly, still feeling slightly dazed.

Xyrha took a small breath, regaining her composure and regaining perception of the situation. Realization, hastily followed by panic, had set in quickly, as she found herself injured, unarmed, restrained and surrounded by guards.

Instinctively, she began to struggle against the metal restraints, trying to pull her wrists apart to free herself. Naturally, Xyrha's actions were in vain, as her physical strength alone was not enough to break the sturdy clasps holding her back. Her mind was racing as she started to kick at the guards holding her in place, she knew she was low on options.

The Mag knew she couldn't risk getting caught again, especially not while she was vulnerable. She didn't know what the guards intend to do with her, and she did not want to find out. She would never admit it, but a she felt a small tinge of fear grasp her subconscious.

"Kicking and screaming isn't going to get you anywhere, Tenno." The Guard said bluntly.
"Look, just stay calm. We don't want to cause any rash actions." The other said flatly.

The guards would travel through Feld's bar, Folly and down the steps. It was very nonchalant and plain as day. Xyrha is going to get a stern talking to.

Niveah's face was in pain and in discomfort. The act of creating life was slowly happening. She clinged tightly to the bed, her breathing slowly becoming more erratic as time goes on. The doctor kept calm and composed, trying to keep Niveah in check. She kept pushing and pushing. And from what it seems like, a baby was coming.

"Do~n't you worry, I'll lift my own weight!" Even though Valerie meant the phrase in a metaphorical sense, she flexed her arms proudly. After all she spent many hours in her makeshift gym to build those muscles needed to handle her axe properly.

Contrary to Jacob's timid approach, Valerie had elected on her own to join ways with the group, simply because they promised an escape from neverchanging days. As such, her stride was full of herself, lively and resolute, with boots clacking soundly on the metal floors, and her visor turning left and right idly, afterall she more-or-less knew the area.

After Mery had described the situation, and Adalynn inquired further, Val interrupted with a voice trying hard not to burst out laughing: "Wait, your alias is Mercy? Like, really? Mercy?" It was funnier than most things to her. "What an honour to meet you! I've heard so many people cry for you... but you never came. Busy job, eh?" Even the thought of said victims asking for mercy did not slow down her supressed giggling.

She did try hard to become more serious though when plans were being made. "Hey, I'll come with you. I'm not that much of a talker, and if things go sour, you can never have enough firepower for a clean breach!" She patted the axe's handle over her shoulder. Even though she still had the Harpak hanging around her torso with its belt, she didn't really feel like wasting any of its few remaining bolts on a single hostage-taker. What would he be able to do against a Tenno, after all?

Mercy had some restraint within her. She wasn't there at the time, but was able to overhear the Saryn with her somewhat degrading statement. She had a job to do, nothing more or less.

She was within the middle of the crowd, slowly cutting a path through the people gathering around the situation. Most of them were baffled, some of them asked the man to stop, others sat in silence.

Mercy had looked over to see the man, holding a gun to the hostage's head. He was panicking, trying his best to wriggle free from the situation, however the rather large fellow kept getting him in check.

"This man will die! He has tormented me for long enough!"

"Please! Please! I don't want to die!"

Mercy looked onward, assessing the situation. She went about flanking the person. There was enough space to hide and out of his peripheries. Moving her satchel to her side, she pulled out a silenced pistol. It comprised of a tube and a magazine. A very no-nonsense design that looks very rustic and primitive to an extent.

Koishi's eyes widened a little at the display of food. It was a pretty healthy variety, and reminded her a bit of what she had been making while she was scavenging. She put a finger to her chin, brushing it idly while looking. She glanced to her bag. She didn't have much to trade at all. Then her eyes opened with realization. Maybe she did. She pulled out her notebook, looking to the shopkeep.

"Ums, i's dun' got much to trade, but I's could share a few recipes! Makin' foodstuffs is funs! Especially when yous dun' gots much to work with. Is like a puzzlethingy, but tastier! If yous do it rights." Koishi spoke with some excitement. If there was anything to distract her, it was a shared hobby. Maybe they even had some cinnamon too.

The man tilted his head and raised his eyebrow.

"I can has recipes? Well sure!" He said rather cheerfully.

He was one of the very few cooks, who could... actually try and cook. And he was excited to see people who share the same hobby as him. Well, job, but his passion. He served up a portion of divine liquid and porcelain strings, the noodles looking very fat and nutritious. It is piping hot. He wrote something on a piece of paper, giving it along with the noodles. It was a recipe to make it.

    "Here ya go!"

A loud sound had occurred. He trembled and hid inside his little stall.

Feeling uneasy and on-edge about her situation, the Mag quietly swore under her breath and raised both of her Lex, aiming at the approaching guards. However, her finger rested above the trigger, displaying her obvious hesitance at the idea of shooting. Under her helmet, her eyes darted around the area as she carefully examined each guard as well as the surrounding vicinity.

It took Xyrha less than a couple of seconds to realize that she did not have enough bullets to take down the group of guards, even if each bullet landed a precise headshot. Per contra, she decided that she could part with a single bullet if it guarantees her a chance at a relatively clean escape.

Suddenly, she shifted her left hand, aiming her gun above the guards' heads and firing, in an attempt to distract the guards and give herself a headstart. Immediately after the bullet had left the barrel of her Lex, she quickly scaled the wall and pulled herself up into the rafters.

The bullet whizzed past one of the guard's heads. One ducked down, the rest on pursuit. The noise that the gun made, had everyone in panic. People scurried away from the shot and some hid in their stalls.

The one guard who ducked, reported to Mercy.

"Int One! Int One! We have H-Prio in the AO, M!"

She sighed. Everything was already falling apart by the minute. A hostage situation, now this? She needed to sort this situation out as soon as possible. Her hand graced the radio once more.

    "Int One, H-Prio engage."

Flashlights turn on, their beams sweeping across the rafters, trying to hunt down the Tenno. Xyrha would find a decent spot within some rafters, but if a beam of light hits her, she would be in for a world of hurt.

[Sneak Check - 1-20 die used Xyrha must roll against guards perception. Guards roll 20. Xyrha rolls 15. Ouch.]

The guards with some hidden intuition would find Xyrha within mere seconds, one giving her a gun-stroke to the face, disorienting her. That done, the other disarmed her, securing her hands with metallic clasps.

"You're coming with us." One of them said plainly. "You have broken the law. Any stolen goods will be confiscated."

When Niveah was hustled away by the doctor, Dain was left standing outside, feeling confused. From what the doctor had said, it seemed like Niveah was about to give birth any second, but she wasn't showing any signs of being in labour, to his admittedly untrained eye. So why was the doctor acting like she was?

Then the implications about Niveah givin birth, potentially very soon, hit in. The personal ones at any rate. Thus Dain found himself in the a position almost as old as time itself.

    The completely unprepared father.

So after he spend several moments leaping between worried, terrified, over-the-moon and nervous, not that anyone would be able to tell thanks to his armour and helmet, he sheathed his blade and hurried after Niveah. He set his shield down inside the door, to stop it getting in the way, then stood there rather uncertainly. As an after thought, he took his helmet off, locking it to his hip.

if Dain was worried, he should be in Seth's shoes.

Despite being a doctor, he was a Grineer. They weren't birthed like this and this process appeared to be all alien to him, if anything, he was more scared than Dain!

"Um..." said Seth, confused as a drunk on muscle relaxers asked the chief medical officer there. "What the hell do you need to do?"

Feld's doctor was somewhat baffled with Seth's response. But he did understand that Grineer never procreate. They are degenerate clones incapable of such act. He didn't say anything about that, but he gave a sigh.

"I want you to look, see if anything comes out. If a large thing comes out, that is called a 'baby.'" The Doctor replied.

He looked over to Niveah. Her face was painted with concern. He nodded understandably.

"Alright, I want you to push. Don't stop, okay? You've got this."

With that, the birthing process begins. And so does the pain.

"You couldn't have chosen a better person..." Jacob replied, sarcasm practically oozing out of his sentence. Persuade someone to release a hostage? He'll be more likely to unintentionally drive them to a suicide bombings... But alas, he's there, and he won't back down if people need help. It'd make him feel more miserable that screwing up.

Adalynn wasn't necessarily too impressed, but she couldn't really help it. She took a left, away from the crowd, flanking the man, trying to defuse the situation. A small amount of time passes and now they are on the sidelines, the man not necessarily knowing that they are there. Adalynn steps out, her hands out in front, slowly and calmly approaching.

"Hey, hey. Look, nothing needs to be rash here. What happened here?"

[Persuasion check - 1-20 die rolled. Adalynn needs to roll against Aggressor. Aggressor rolls 12. Adalynn rolls 19. Success!]

The man looked over to see the Tenno, not necessarily posing too much of a threat. The hostage is still within his grasp, the gun pointed at his head.

"This man caused me a lot of grief! He stole from me! He stole my money, my wife, my kids! He made my life miserable!" The Aggressor touted. "What does that even mean to you!?"

"I didn't steal anything!" The hostage pleaded.

    "Shut up!"

Adalynn took some slow steps forward.

"If he stole from you and you're attempting to steal his life, wouldn't that make you no less worse than he is?"

[Persuasion check - 1-20 die rolled. Adalynn needs to roll against Aggressor. Aggressor rolls 15. Adalynn rolls 12. Failed!]

"No it doesn't! If you worked hard to get where you are, you shouldn't have people to take everything away from you!" He replied with anger. The gunbarrel inched closer to his head. Everything is still, the crowd baffled that a couple of people would actually stand up against this. This might be Jacob's opportunity to say his piece.

  6. I thought Quantum Break was a pretty alright game, at least in my opinion. Though, I will admit, a lot of the game's story/lore/exposition comes from observables/collectible entries that you find in each level. And later on, each collectible generally has more than one paragraph of information regarding the situation.

Now, I'm not bashing on that necessarily. I like some lore, but I think the problem is that QB relied too much on this to convey plot elements, hints, and story. And the amount of reading for all the collectibles could easily be several pages from a book. If they were more bite-sized and didn't hamper the pacing of the game by having the player read them every-so-often, it might have been better as a result.

How that ties in: I would think that Warframe would benefit with ore universe expansion and lore additions. I wouldn't mind seeing the fleshed out expansions of Primes, Syndicates, and other important systems, however, I don't necessarily want an experience that is really bogged down with heavy amounts of reading, which was one of the issues I had above. If the collectibles that provide lore are very long reads, the Codex, Simaris, and other systems will help with this.

Maybe I'm a little too simple-minded, but I don't want Warframe to be a huge collect-a-thon, in which I read one page, walk around for five minutes, then read the next page and repeat the process over and over. I want the story to be fairly interesting and easy-to-follow, but the entries to clear up some areas, and entertain ideas. I don't want the story to be completely condensed into some large entry that sucks me out of the game, through something that I have to read in a particular order, in order to achieve understanding of what I am doing.

Again, I am not opposed to this -- I just didn't necessarily like how QB handled its elements. And I don't want Warframe to fall into its pitfalls.

Koishi was still quite stressed, and it wasn't helped by people staring. In fact, it made her feel a little worse about just being here. Not to mention that most of the people in the group split up, leaving her surrounded by even more strangers. She gripped her hat a little for comfort, taking a little safety in it's small amount of velvet-like material.

That was until someone else started speaking in their direction. A shopkeeper of some kind?

She looked in her bag. She had a few magazines she could spare from her Stilettos. Those things chewed through ammo anyways.

She cautiously came forward, adjusting her bag to the side in case something of note actually came up to buy.

"Ums, what are yous sellin', mister?" Koishi asked gently, a touch of curiosity beneath it. Keeping herself focused on something might help.

"You's hungry? I got some food for ye." He replied confidently.

On his stall, he had some appetizing entrées. Looked like some grilled meats, noodles of peculiar quality, crackers, bread, and chili. It could be fairly evident that some of this stuff was a haphazard mess of homemade foods, mixed with MRE cuisine, but what could you do when a chef doesn't have everything at his disposal? He was ingenious with the mixture, proudly donning a dark, stained apron, from various sauces and liquid materials.

He waved his hand over the food. It was piping hot and ready to serve.

"We has noodles -- spicy and flavorful! Brisket and fine cuts from the wildlands! And The artisan breads that people cherish! Take! Pick!"

When they reached Mercy - 'that name definitely isn't just for show' - he kept quiet, letting the leader do the talking.

"Jacob, just... don't worry about it." Adalynn whispered.

    She turned to face Mercy.

"I'm ready and so is he. What is the situation?"

Mercy moved away from the wall, her head looking behind her then back to Adalynn. Nobody was listening in or looking in their direction.

"Here's the situation: a domestic situation has turned sour. A person decided to take some lives in a small shootout. He's taken an individual hostage and someone called for help. We're the backup."

Adalynn's face was a little horrified at the situation.

    'How did these things escalate?'

"Okay, how do you want to play this out, Mercy?"

"We can go about this in a couple ways - We either try and sneak about and divert his attention, or we can talk him down. Seeing that talking him down may be the harder option, we'll have to play this carefully."

She never really knew Tenno all that well in her line of work. The only thing that she heard were fables and legends, but it seemed like they were just people in a suit, though there would be something more.

"I'm going to sneak around back. You both can try and talk him down. If things go south, I'll know what to do." Mercy stated. "I'll see you on the other side."

With that, she headed within the congregated crowd. Looks like its a massive amount of people scared for what he will do next.

"Jacob, I hope you have some good persuasive skills."

"No, I'm here to help, I'm a doctor also." Seth replied to the man, although considering his condition as a Grineer, dying from Genetic Degradation could be considered a sickness.

Speaking on which, while Niveah was being taken away he quickly removed his syringe and filled it with a more improved version of DNA stabiliser he made whilst he was on the ship, he then injected himself with it into his neck, he then suddenly let off a gasp of relief as he felt his body become more rejuvenated before he moved to assist in birthing a Tenno baby.

"Oh by the Queens how does someone do such a thing?!" he muttered in Grintok, confused as to how in the Queens a tenno or human baby is usually born. He's never experienced such a thing.

Niveah was a little reluctant, but understood what she had to do. She stripped down to her suit and stuffed her frame within a locker. She hopped onto the table and all it was is a waiting game. She closed her eyes, breathing in and out, trying to be as calm as possible.

"Now, just try to stay calm and keep breathing."

The Mag breathed a silent sigh of relief upon noticing the familiar sight of the intricate network of aging metal support beams sprawling out above her head. At least now she had a kind-of backup plan. In fact, she probably should have just taken her leave while she was still unnoticed, however the discovery of what seemed to be a well-secured bunker hidden underneath the settlement of Feld had peaked Xyrha's attention.

Based on her prior experiences, the discovery of seemingly-organized and secure activities hidden away from prying eyes was never a good thing. She knew that the presence of such security measures indicated that something worth securing is hidden away nearby; what exactly, is the answer that Xyrha was in search of.

Why would anyone want to hide anything under such a populated area?

Continuing to keep to the shadows, the Mag followed the shady corridor to its end, looking around cautiously.

[Sneak - 1-20 die rolled - Xyrha needs to roll a(n) 15 or greater. 10 rolled. Failure!]

"You're not supposed to be here."

A group of guards had spotted the Mag's position, being fairly close to her. Making a fairly loud noise would result in a firefight, but keeping quiet would also arise a struggle, which might generate some trouble. Another guard patched into some communications.

"M, we have a Tenno perp on the rafters above Market. How do you want us to proceed?"

Mercy was halfway into the crowd, slowly working her way past the riff-raff. Patching in, she replied.

"Subdue her. If she uses lethal force, all bets are off."

He nodded, giving the confronting guard a couple shoulder taps before slowly converging on her position. How Xyrha will react to this situation, will be up to her.

Better make that judgement as good as possible then.

He caught up quickly, following the Nyx while eyeing the surroundings.

"So... you're the leader?" he feels like he asked that already...

The Nyx looked over to see Jacob in response to his question.

"Yes. I am the leader of the group." She replied fairly dryly. "You really do like asking a lot of questions. While I don't mind it, stuff like that may bite you at some point."

When she returned, her step was springy, apparently good news had arrived from wherever she had gone. Adalynn was just dividing up the group, and the Saryn promptly joined in as soon as the Nyx had stopped speaking.

"I'll go with you two! Medical stuffs are totally boring, despite the occasional gore!" She rubbed her hands, eager for some action. Maybe she could find a little pickpocket stupid enough to try their luck with a few Tenno, and rough him up a bit. The idea sounded lotta appealing right now, and made her grin in anticipation beneath her helmet.

"Okay." Adalynn said with some slight cheerfulness.

She was a little surprised with the Saryn's enthusiasm. Valerie seemed a little off, with a finger the Nyx couldn't really place, but she did like the enthusiasm that she exuded. But she hoped that her potential arrogance or cocky behavior wouldn't cost her anything. She doesn't like butting heads with many people, especially her own.

"Just make sure to catch up and stay quiet."

The walk was fairly short, a few minutes at best. Looks like Feld is a small settlement. They saw Mercy, leaning against a wall, arms folded.

Slums tended to be full of the poor, and poor often meant desperate... and willing to steal.

Though he did not think they would go up against two Tenno. They were not that desperate.

"I am." A man said rather plainly.

He donned a fairly tattered coat, stamped with rather industrious logos and scientist designs. Underneath was a dark undersuit which was fairly plain. Stains of various types littered the coat and suit. He wore a basic mask, trying to prevent bodily fluids from getting into open orifices of his face.

"What brings you here? Are you sick?" he asked, his tone being a little tired and stressed.

He looked over and saw Seth, Dain, and Niveah, the pregnant Tenno. His eyes became wide with surprise. He pointed to Niveah.

"You, you're going to need help. Please sit onto the table and we'll get delivery ready."

Niveah bit her lower lip and looked down. She was feeling a little under-the-weather and was ready for the push. She looked over to Dain, her eyes gleaming with happiness, then back to the doctor. Looks like things are going to get intense.

Once she was confident that the hallway was vacant, the Mag slowly stood up and examined the walls and ceiling, searching for something to climb into in case any following events transpired unfavourably. Without thinking, yet again, Xyrha began to slowly wander down the left side of the corridor, sticking to the shadows.

Sneaking in the shadows would prove to be helpful, though she was still in a hot zone. The rafters would eventually lead to the top of Feld's working district/market place. Getting down may be the hard part.

    Ah, thanks for informing me.

Also, in my defense, this was the application form:
    Name: Example
    Race/faction: Corpus/Grineer/Tenno
    Gender: Male/Female
    Age: *insert number here*
    Syndicate involvement: Steel Meridian/Arbiters of Hexis/Ceph. Suda/Perrin Sequence/Red Veil/New Loka
Occupation (optional): Grineer Doctor/Corpus Engineer/Tenno Mentor
    Biography: *Insert story here*

The only part excluded in my application was age. Please be more specific if you wish extra inclusions.

I see that you are trying to play lawyer. And I raise you that the biography should generally be a catch-all for most of these peripheries!

    The first page says quote:

"Please fill out the basic application and I will read through what you have written. A basic skeleton can be used here... For those applying, it will be your responsibility on how detailed the sheet will be. But take note: please be thorough in your evaluation of the character. Be clear, consistent (with the world, motives, ideals etc.), and patient, as it takes time to read every entry."

And I mentioned that the framework is a basic skeleton to work from, nothing less, nothing more.

But I do understand that the application lacks any kind of detailed backbone that others might want. But I intend on keeping the thing fairly spartan in detail, since I don't necessarily want the thread to be hosed down with too much detail. Just a thought.

    Thank you.

I was wondering, I know the registration is still closed, but I was wondering if I'd still be welcome to join? If, or when, registration opens up again, ofc.

I've already cooked up another CS, since I had, honestly, not really developed Vulgrim Rook's character too much. It was a lack of investment on my end and I'm genuinely rather sorry about that, as well as to the other RP'er who I may or may not have locked in interaction <u>''

Stuff just cropped up and I'd the shameful indecency to not inform you about it. I am genuinely sorry about it.

But! With apologies out of the way; I'd like to reiterate one of my initial remarks.

Would it be chiller if I rejoined with a new character? Would you prefer if I stuck with my old one as some sort of penitence?

    Hello Blood_Strider,

I will give you some lenience within the thread, for when you apply. Since registration is closed for the time being, you won't be able to join, as you understand. For the time being, you can create a new OC. Vulgrim is probably going to be stuck on Europa for a long time, so might as well make yourself a new OC. But do keep in mind, that you will have to wait for the time being when a spot rolls out. Capische? :P

    Name: Thickett

    Race: Tenno

    Gender: Female

    Syndicate Involvement: Unaffiliated

    Occupation: Smuggler

Biography: Thickett used to be a supply runner for New Loka, smuggling civilians, soldiers and arms across grineer controlled space, and picked up not an inconsiderable amount of flying experience on the way. That is, before she was shot down. Rather magnificently, if the accounts from civilians on nearby planets are anything to go by. Her ship went down trailing smoke and the remnants of her cargo, dropping through the atmosphere of Europa, burning the sky in it's wake. Her cargo of a New Loka arms shipment detonated before the ship even hit the ground, tearing the fuel pipe to the final thruster and spraying liquid damnation all over the walls.

When the burning carcass of a supply ship hit the ground nearby, the locals were understandably intrigued. Thickett had been trapped inside during it's incendiary trip, but managed to smash the already damaged cockpit glass with a pistol from the scattered chaos of metal, guns and snow. It was only after she stepped from the wreckage that she realized she had left her arm behind.

    Hello Done_and_Dusted,

Registration for the thread is closed for the moment, unfortunately. I am glad that you want to join, but I will have to reject the application, for a couple reasons.

One - When it comes to a Tenno, where is the Warframe? We're not even given a specific Warframe that the Tenno uses. And since she is female, it leaves room for interpretation. It is vague.

Two - The thread doesn't take place on Europa anymore. That segment has been finished, so your character will end up being stranded. You will have to fit your character in the criteria of the current story.

Three - There is a distinct lack in terms of armament. We don't know what she is carrying in terms of weapons. She could be carrying a Soma Prime, for all we know. So you'll have to include that within the subject matter.

All in all, you can remake the OC to match the situation, but in reality you will have to wait for the time being. Registration is closed and I hope that you understand.

    Thanks for reading.

"There are diamonds all around us. They're just... covered in so much s**t, people can barely see them sparkling." Jacob commented, adding a chuckle at the end for effect.

Then Adalynn - remembered her name, good - voiced a question for the group, and with the conversational spirit that has just found temporary residence inside the cyborg, he has been compelled to speak up. "Maybe we could check out that situation at the slums? Towns I've been at rarely got trouble, aside from the occasional bar fights. We might find a scrap merchant there as well, I have some junk to sell."

    Did that just rhyme?

With the ideas that have been presented to Adalynn, she had to make a small choice. It'd probably be a bit better to split up for the time being, seeing that Seth could help the medical pavilion, with Dain and Niveah in tow. Jacob and her could work with Mercy to help expedite the job and get the ball rolling.

This two-pronged approach will get a few things done, get Feld into a much more reputable state and bolster their reputation as a result. Adalynn brought up a small user interface, punching in the frequency of Mercy.

"Hello? Who is this?" Mercy said with a near contentious voice.

"It's me, Adalynn. We need some direction to the Slums. We'd like to help." She replied.

"Oh. Alright. Head down the stairs. At the base of the stairs hang right. Keep walking until you meet two bends. Take the one on the left and take the small stairs down. I'll meet you at the base of those stairs."

Adalynn nodded, releasing control of her UI.

"Alright... Seth, go help out some of the doctors in the medical area. Dain, Niveah, follow Seth. Jacob, you're with me. We're going to Mercy."

Looks like the plan is a go. Adalynn headed down the stairs, taking the directions Mercy planned out.

"This place must be like a vacation the." Jacob commented "Still, I doubt it's as cramped in down there as it is here. The claustrophobic hallways and fact that behind every creaking wall could be a dreadful vacuum doesn't really make this a popular place for retirement." jokes make everything better, don't they?

The more the human talked, the less scared he seemed to be, his social side taking a bigger peek from behind the wall that is his awkwardness. But he also seemed to be getting a little cold... in the literal sense.

Niveah gave a little smirk, though Jacob wouldn't really be able to notice it under her helmet. It was a small relief to at least have someone who likes the lighten things up. With Dain having a rather brazen response, she decided to put in her two cents.

"Well, Europa has had its share of claustrophobia. I mean, we found a bunker down in the depths of the planet's surface and it harbored a lot of nasty things... And while though I wasn't the nicest person, or treated like a princess, I was able to find some diamonds in the rough."

Her head slightly turned to Dain. She gave him a light, nudge with her hand. It was a punch, but with very little weight behind it, basically as some kind of jest. She smiled.

"But I don't want to necessarily dwell on Europa. It's not my area of expertise."

Seth frowned at the figure's first answer, he didn't approve of those he could'nt put a name to, he then gripped his rifle a fair bit more tightly as he asked "Then if you wont tell us who you are then at least give us an Alias to call you." he said assertively.

He stared with his plague doctor's mask at the figure the tinted glass of his mask's eyeholes not showing any sign of eyes for the time being.

She noticed that the masked person in front of her was gripping his rifle a little more tightly than usual. Her face straightened out, having a much more stern look, though under her visage, it wouldn't really be apparent.

"You can call me 'Mercy.' If you want to know more, then we'll have to get acquainted a little better." She said plainly. "And I don't necessarily like the way you're toting your rifle like that, sir. I know that we don't know each other that well, but I don't want to have another incident on our hands."

She reached into her satchel, taking out a small little card. It was odd to have her carry around a pad of paper, seeing that technology like that is extinct, but at least this was fairly modern. It was a stamped metal plate, with rounded edges, almost like dog tags. Mercy handed it to Adalynn. Stamped on was her name "Mercy" and a couple credentials.

"On that, you can find my radio frequency. Ping me whenever you need me most. Now, is there anything else I can help you with?"

"Why did you decide to pick us up?" Adalynn said with a fairly harsh and questioning tone.

"It's better to make a good first impression. No strings attached. I harbor no resentment towards you, unless you take it out onto my people. Then you'll have to answer to me. Besides, it looked like all of you were lost. You're not from around here, are you?"

    "No, we're not."

    "Ah, I see."

Mercy got a ping from her radio. She quickly flicked her hand to her ear. The human nodded, giving a fairly tired sigh in response.

"Well, it was nice talking to all of you, but I need to get going. We have another incident in the Slums."

Reaching into her satchel, she retrieved a large filter for her mask. Removing her current one, her breathing became a little more sporadic, though attaching on the new respiratory piece made her breathing a little bit better.

"I hope you enjoy your stay at Feld." She said happily before walking down the steps toward the Slums.

"Well, things sure can get more interesting... Any ideas, anyone?" Adalynn asked.

    Hello superapple22,

Currently registration will be very much closed at this current moment. While the thread says that registration is currently open, I haven't really had the time to change its state. So unfortunately, you will have to wait for a new opening. Since the thread is full of people, I can't necessarily manage all of it, hence the closed registration. Hope you understand.

Seth wasn't exactly trusting of the stranger but they got to this slum known as Feld thanks to her, he frowned then asked "Several."

He then cleared his throat and asked in a numeric order "One. Who are you. Two. Who do you work for? Three. what's the layout of this rail and four, do you need an extra doctor in this Slum?" he asked professionally and quickly. He also glanced around for anyone who appeared sick or injured.

The figure looked up towards the masked man. Her eyes squinted, a single brow raised. Seth or any of the others wouldn't really be able to see the slightly puzzled expression, though she thought of it as intrigue more than confusion. Most people would've just have left on their own, so it was a little refreshing to see this kind of astute behavior. She replied, her voice being clear, punctual, and honest.

"First, let's just say that I am an ally. Make of that what you will. Second, I work for Feld's Reconnaissance and Security Detail. It's a fairly demanding job, but I can get the job done. Third, a map would be able to answer your question, though I'll keep this short: the Rail is a very sprawling place, filled with either places like these, or conflict. And lastly, we have some sick individuals. It's a crowded place, so people are coming in quite frequently. We can manage, but if you can spare the time, it'd be greatly appreciated."

She adjusted the filter on her mask. She breathed a light sigh.

"Do you have any more questions?"

Momentary home, sweet momentary home. Jacob knows this place, although he's been here only for a couple of weeks, as he usually travels from settlement to settlement once he scavenges far enough. He needs to keep going to find new supplies, and to avoid attracting attention. His efforts at making friends were... less successfull, so he usually doesn't have much reason in that department to stay either. Though he wasn't completely friendless, he always ended up leaving.

Though, following this group gave him a little hope. Of course, they could just dump him in here, but maybe if he befriends some of them, they could want him around, and maybe even like his presence.

Time to screw up horribly then...

"So... what's your name?" a classic conversation starter, should be good enough. He looked to the Mesa beside him, hoping the Rhino wouldn't be too overprotective.

Niveah looked down to see Jacob.

"You're Jacob, right?" Niveah said. "The name's Niveah."

She waited for him to ask another question.

By the time the woman had revealed herself to the group, Xyrha was long gone.

Once again, she let her boredom get the better of her, as she ran along the narrow metal support beams, managing to keep her balance rather easily. After traversing through several abandoned ventilation shafts and collapsing hallways, Xyrha found herself standing at the bottom of an empty maintenance tunnel directly under Feld. The thief found herself a partially-decayed ladder leading directly up to a hatch inside of one of the settlement's buildings.

She paused for a second, pulling out a scarf-like piece of fabric from her messenger bag, then proceeded to tie it around her mid-section in an attempt to hide the bandages and injury. With a quiet sigh, Xyrha adjusted the fabric one last time before carefully climbing up the ladder and climbing out the hatch. She pulled out one of her Lex pistols and stayed low to the ground, just in case.

[Sneak Roll - 1-20 die used. Xyrha needs to roll a 15 or greater. 19 rolled. Almost a naty-20!]

Xyrha would be able to get out of the hatch without anyone noticing. The Mag would be in a security detail area, basically an emergency exit and fairly guarded area. She was lucky enough to have no one patrolling there though. The only problem would be is sneaking out of the sprawling guard zone to get to a public area. The decision is now on her shoulders whether to attack the guards or sneak on about.

Koishi's attention somewhat faded as they talked, until mention came of Europa. Her eyes widened slightly before looking over to the others, mainly at Adalynn.

"Ohs, yous came from Europa?" Koishi started, her voice tinged with hope. "Um, down there, did yous ever meet a tenno-fella named Rin? I's kinda was here to see hers while she was workin' on her report thingy, n'...i's just hoped she lived n' stuffins. S'probably not, but, just... maybe..."

She seemed increasingly nervous as the question went on, twiddling her fingers and such.

'Rin... I haven't heard that name in a long time...'

Adalynn was pondering the existence of the Chroma during her travels. She never really remembered all that much, besides the events leading up to the bunker.

"I do remember Rin. She was kind of cheery, though she had a slight issue with explosives... And it wasn't really pretty." Adalynn recalled.

"Let's not tread on that subject, Adalynn. It's the past and we should leave it be." Niveah commented.

Until the group was ready to leave - or rather, told her they were, because reading hints was not exactly Valerie's strong mood at this moment - she walked over to Dain, who clinged to his weapon and shield. She knocked her knuckles softly against the latter. "This looks selfmade. You good with stuff like that?" she asked with a relaxed, casual voice and posture, slightly bent forward to examine the craftswork.

Niveah looked over at Valerie. Her eyes narrowed to a glare, feeling slightly suspicious. Tenno, especially Saryn's, had an err for being venomous and possibly seductive. She wasn't necessarily impressed, but Dain was taken. She didn't say anything, but remained somewhat cautious.

Adalynn slowly paced about, rubbing the chin of her helmet.

"Right. So, we're going to need some directions to town. Anyone got a map?"

The figure was waiting for quite some time for things to ramp up, though, she personally didn't want to escalate things further. Her eyes looked around, noticing some slight shifting in the rafters above. Maybe one of the members wanted to take the high road. Knowing that they essentially have over-watch, are heavily armed, and that she was out-numbered, left her little choice. She knew that taking them on like was a death sentence. And she doesn't want to make a bad first impression either. Her breathing was a little more audible, the figure taking steps forward into the light.

"I have a map." The figure said nonchalantly, her voice muffled.

Adalynn's head cocked towards the figure. The woman reached into her satchel, pulling out a small set of paper, outlining the area. She tossed one section of the map. The area that they were in, was called the Terminal.

"How do I know that I can trust you, who ever you are?" Adalynn said with some questioning, almost interrogative tone. "We already have someone who knows this place, inside and out."

"I have more information about the station. I know all of the nooks, hiding spots, and other paths that you are not aware of." She replied in a rather monotone manner. "If that isn't enough, I can guarantee -- promise, that whatever is within that hallway, isn't ambush."

[Persuasion - 1-20 die rolled - The Figure needs to beat Adalynn's roll! Adalynn rolls a 7. Figure rolls an 11. Success!]

Adalynn felt a little reassured, but hesitant to take the offer, her posture changing, arms folded, a signal for slight defiance or lack of confidence in the offer.

"You'll be taking point. I don't want you to stab us in the back." Adalynn said with a firm tone.

    "Crystal."

She turned around, waving the others over. Looks like it was time to head out to civilization.

    -A few minutes later...-

The group traveled through the fairly long corridor. And much like the woman promised, there wasn't anything to scare them. It was a relatively safe trip to the district of Feld. The entrance to Feld seemed fairly well guarded, with crewmen toting small arms like Dera rifles and Detrons. They looked over to see the massive group of intrepid explorers, a small majority of them being Tenno, a few being other members. Then they saw the masked figure, their weapons lowered.

"I assume you brought them here?" A guard asked.

    "Yes." She said in response.

"I hope you know that the Rail is getting more and more cramped by the minute." Another said under his breath.

Her head turned, hearing the other guard's complaint.

"Shut it. We already have enough problems with the Hex, Ceph and Reds on us. Be glad you're not out there. It's better to be cramped than killed."

After the little exchange in banter, they opened the gate. It was a really compacted area. The lobby held more than a dozen of people, some huddled together. Other slept on the cold metal ground. Some crude buildings lined the straightaway district of Feld. Houses atop of other houses. It was like a long strop of hotel hallway, with real estate prime in numbers, however some people couldn't necessarily afford the luxury of the particular suites. Exiting the long strip of homes, was the market district. And this was a bustling hub for merchants and individuals. It was a huge swathe of people within a confined area.

People sold quality or homemade weapons, provided medical treatments, sold varieties of foods and sustenance. Sounds littered the area, a cacophony of merchant-speak, trying to convince you to buy people's latest wares and materials.  Atop the market district was a set of stairs, leading to a bar, simply called "Folly." It seemed like a fairly cozy place, being built into the large rafters of the rail.

"Well, welcome to Feld." She said, with a slight happiness. "A very cramped slum, accepting some of the riff-raff that the rail has to offer."

She clasped her hands together onto the table top.

"If you have any questions, please ask away."

    Occupation: None (Former Tenno Operative)

Warframe: Excalibur (Dominant color pallet: black. Seconary color pallet: dark red)

Biography: Yorkinsaw or, just 'York' for short was a newly enlisted Tenno Operative. Strong and witty, the young Tenno proved himself quite worthy to the Lotus, completing mission after mission without the slightest sign of failure. One day, the young Tenno was pacing the interior of his ship in anticipation. The Lotus had picked up some unknown readings, generating from a location in space that should be completely empty. And as the Tenno neared his destination, it happened. His ship was hit, by what, he did not know. Within seconds, the ships hardware was fried, coming to a halt in the middle of space, artificial gravity turned off as York was slammed into the ceiling of the craft, cracking the back of his helmet and injuring his head severely. Dizzy and confused, the Tenno tried to navigate his sheep, which had now gone completely dark in the middle of nowhere. The only reason for his current survival being the fact that the life support system in his ship functioned on its own. But, with the lack of gravity, and the bleeding wound on the back of his skull, the Tenno quickly fell into unconsciousness and in the next couple of hours, the ships interiors had frozen solid, turning the once highly advanced piece of technology into a cold chunk of metal, the Tenno still within it, stuck in a phase of hibernated sleep.

And then his ship could be pulled into orbit and crash near our current protagonists location.

    Hello (PS4)miloviv,

It has come to my attention that you wanted to join the thread. It is good to see that you have submitted your application, however, I will have to reject it for the time being. See the feedback that Suwako had established to gather a much more firmer understanding of what I need in an OC. There is also the fact that things are getting a little cramped in the thread with multiple characters running around, so things will be a little difficult with slotting you in the thread.

We have another user wants into the thread, though, he hasn't necessarily come up with a potential OC, this leaves me with a problem of having a total of ten users to manage. And while that may seem like a little bit, it is quite a lot from the DM perspective. I am not saying that it is hard to manage ten people, though coming up with the reactions and actions necessary to generate forward motion is quite difficult. Unfortunately, things are currently not in your favor, so I might have to cut you loose.

I do apologize for the inconvenience and I do appreciate the fact that you wanted to join the thread.

Valerie eyed Xyrha from beneath her helmet, and then looked to the side with a smirk. "Ah, yes. Of course. Should've seen that." Her voice made clear she didn't believe her. Her defensive stance from the simple question was more than enough proof to her. Not that it bothered her, she didn't really care in the first place.

When Seth reprimanded her, she just groaned and rolled her eyes, invisibly, with an accompanying head movement, which was hard to misunderstand. But she stood up again and stepped away from the wounded Tenno, watching how Adalynn paced around and barked orders to the other members of the group loosely scattered about, and even those not part of their group, like the Saryn herself.
"Oi, I didn't incite anything, yeah? It's not my fault she can't take a question or two! Shouldn't have gotten caught if she doesn't wanna be interrogated!" she defended herself vividly. Apparently it was just her way of talking that she gestured a lot again.

Then she lowered her voice, and bowed a bit towards Adalynn to whisper to her: "If I were him, I'd be really skimpy on the narcotics with her. Might teach her a lesson to trashtalk your guys and gals like that." It was hard to tell if she was trying to play devil-in-her-ear, or just being brutally honest, but her words would be hard to hear for Seth and even harder for Xyrha.
At last, Valerie straightened up again and stretched her back. She spoke clearly again, for the whole group to hear. "Aaaanyway. If you wanna go to the village, I can show you some paths. Just don't expect much from it. And don't tell them you have a ship, or you'll see some wicked sh*t come out of nice people."

Adalynn still didn't necessarily like the fact Valerie was trying to egg on the thief. It would end up causing more trouble in the end, possibly being more than it should be. She gave a disappointed sigh.

"Look, I don't want you to end up causing more trouble then there needs to be. We've already had enough as it is." Adalynn replied in a similar hushed tone.

Afterwards, she spoke to Valerie, in a rather civil voice.

"If you have some directions, that'd be nice. Might help us start somewhere and help us to get to know the inhabitants of the place."

"Woah, wait a second..." voiced the cyborg, taking a couple careful steps towards the leader. He'd immediately start regretting his choice once the eyeless mask would face him, but too late now.

"Y-you've got a ship? That's how you got here?" he simply assumed they were scavenging this area like him, he had no idea a ship was docked just there. Have they just set foot on this station? "Where did you guys even come from?"

With Jacob approaching, it made Adalynn slightly uncomfortable. She squirmed slightly, since she didn't really know him all that well. She could as easily peel into his mind like a banana, but it'd make for a terrible first impression, let alone, her suit was in disrepair still. And to garner a honest first impression, she told the truth.

"Yes, we came with a ship. It's not the prettiest thing, but it works. We had come from the harsh tundra wastes of Europa to be here, thinking there might be something for us here."

Giving a look over, Adalynn wasn't really impressed with what was on display, but the only thing that the group could do, is to venture deeper into the solar rail and find out where they need to go.

    ---

The figure had reached the terminal. While she wasn't impressed with what was on display, with all the dust and material littering the floor. She also did notice the large person-sized hole during her travels. However, she was more interested in the large group of individuals convening within the area. She was a fair distance away, so she would be very hard to notice. Even still, she took precaution and hid behind a wall. The masked individual parsed through the paper pad, looking through all of the letters and symbols. It seemed to be a bunch of codes.

She brought up a radio, whispering a mixture of letters, numbers, and pieces of terminology. It'd sound like complete gibberish to people who didn't have the pad.

"Alright. Monitor them. If you're brave enough, have a meet and greet." A voice over the radio stated.

    "Understood." She replied.

She stood from up from her position, walking away from the wall. She got a good look of the group, seeing quite the ensemble. She knew that taking on multiple Tenno, especially a group of that size would be an immediate death sentence. The only options she had were either hide or confront.

She packed relatively light for the trip, only toting a small satchel, containing the pad of paper, and a small concealable firearm. She hoped that she wouldn't really have to see it, but wasn't downright opposed to it.

She had stepped forward a few more feet, her eyes adjusting to the dark conditions a bit better. Her breathing would be audible to some keen listeners, though she would want to the group to make the first move.

  18. With the fact that Xyrha tried to steal from the group, tension began to boil a little with Adalynn. She was a little upset from the fact that this Tenno decided to mess with the group. She gave a fairly bloated sigh of disappointment, holstering her Viper. Her eyes locked with the Mag, though they would be at a technical impasse, as the two wouldn't be able to see each others eyes. Her brown eyes narrowed with with venom.

With her response to Valerie's actions, she stood rather still.

"If you're lying to me, I can easily find out what you are hiding." Adalynn said with slight anger in her voice. "You're lucky enough to get us in a rather cheery mood. Pray that I don't alter it any further."

    Her head snapped to Valerie.

"And you, don't incite anger. That never gets us anywhere. It only causes trouble."

The Nyx then proceeded to stroll around a bit, thinking about what to do next. It was nice that Seth was taking care of the Mag, but it was by nature and training. She didn't necessarily like the aspect of treating a person that would go around and steal supplies. While the prospect of her being an asset could potentially be nice, the Mag exuded a terrible first impression. She was thinking.

    Meanwhile...

Within the rail was a small settlement. It was ramshackle, crude, and lacked any kind of elegance when it came construction. Some holes, rust spots, and boarded up areas. It was very much cramped, filled up to the brim with a population of people. Vendors lined the floors, selling various goods and services. Crude homemade weapons, food rations, and other materials. A couple walked down the cramped districts of people, heading towards a more relaxed area.

The bar was fairly busy. People after the blast had went off were trying to drown their sorrows in various liquors and alcoholic beverages. The couple that walked in, weren't necessarily matched up with the common rabble, in terms of looks. One was a fairly slim figure, having a fairly form-fit jumpsuit, boots, and a ballistic vest. they wore a full face gas mask with a heavy looking hood draped over it.
Another figure was fairly bulky. He donned a similar get up to a Slo Comba unit. The two sat next to a table, the sounds and murmurs of people encapsulating their surroundings. Perfect.

"So, what's the plan?" The hooded figure asked, the voice muffled under the mask.

"I need you to scout the area. I need you to relay any information you get and report back ASAP." The Comba replied.

The Slo Comba handed a pad of papers to the masked individual and they proceeded out of the bar and outside. Looks like things might get... interesting.

Koishi's head snapped up as her name was called. She hoped she would simply go without more notice. But they asked about the rail, and how it was, and more notably, it's dangers.

"I's dunno about people here. Alls I's found before were, well, dead. S'why I's thought I's was alonestuff. The most dangerous stuffins i's have seen are haywire proxies. Rail has a fancy bunch of systems to keep it safe. Fusion Moas, Bursa-stuffs, and Hyenastuffins. But i's haven't seen any Hyenas. The Moa-fellas are super dangerous if they see ya' as hostile. Fancy lasers, heavy armor, even come with little Osprey-thingys! A lot of 'em are probably still workin', but yous can't be too careful, 'specially if you're Tenno or Grineerstuffs." Koishi explained.

"The bursas are like the moas, but bigger and better! Usually guard important stuffs. Engines, life-support, tha' kinda thing! They're super mean, really good at takin' down peoples. Big shields, laser shotguns, even small-artillery! Super dangerous, but they dun' attack people much."

"The Hyena-fellas, tho... they only bring those out when really bad stuffins happens, like big fights or a decompression-thingy. They're super fast! And they usually come in groups. Each one does different stuffins. I's dun' remember wha', though. Memory's foggy. But they're fancy n' tough n' lethal. S'alls yous gotta know." Koishi finished.

"Nah, we're just curious or bold enough to get out here to see what you guys're up to. We're not 'with' each other like you are." she stated relaxedly, flexing her burly shoulder.

"And also, this area's been scavenged for everything really soon after sh*t hit the fan. Noone comes here anymore, really. If there's decompression out here, noone's near to save you. And the view's not even that great."

Her pretty chill demeanor kinda took a rough turn when Valerie overhead Niveah's commentary about them. Or pretty much, about herself. She could hardly care less about the nutter-tenno or Jacob.

"Oi, I'll give you giddy! At least I can keep my spirits on this boring chunk, where the most interesting thing in two years was people snapping crazy from the boredom!" she flared up, gesticulating wildly, almost throwing a rude gesture towards the Mesa.
That probably also answered Adalynn's question about what Val thought of life on the rail. Koishi elaborated on different things, and Val watched her with a frown behind the visor.

Her voice became a tad bit less agitated, but also quite sceptical. "Yeah well, what kind of Tenno are you anyways? The moas aren't that bad if you're on your toes. And most are either under control of the citizens, or stuck somewhere, or just plain broken." She had to agree on the Hyenas though. They were adaptable to the crashed surroundings, and roughly as aggressive as a rabid dog with 3 weeks no food. She knew of two that laid with wiped memory in the village, but noone dared try to set them up as town guards. Guard against what, anyways?

Then, finally, Valerie straightened up, put one hand onto her hip, and addressed the elephant in the room. "Most citizens live further inside, it's safer there. Less risk of something collapsing or depressurizing. Some of the communal rooms are kinda like a village now. Scrapyard village, mind you. Scrappy houses, scrappy people. Scrappy boring. You're probably the first newcomers in over a year, I don't know, just hang out there now and then." With 'hanging out' meaning working, selling loot or hanging out. Details. "So yeah, you better not draw your weapons immediately when you go there, or we'll see how dangerous those Moas really are." She snickered meanly. As if she might actually get a front-line-spectator seat if that were to happen.

Niveah shook her head. She was amused by Valerie's gestures and statements, though she didn't necessarily reply to anything.

'I think her and I will get along just fine.'

"I's be Koish', silly." Koishi waved off the Saryn's words, before going back to her writing, although she did put in another two cents.

"Depends on the Moa-thingy. Some are easy to take down, others not as much. Dunno why. Maybe some were more damaged or not built to last as long? I's dunno. Just tellin' ya what i's seen. Theys can be nasty, especially in some of the corridors with windows. Theys have fancy stations built into the walls, super-dangerous-stuff if you're caught off guard." Koishi explained.

"Is bad when you're goin' along a hallway, n' like five of 'em pop out from stuff you didn't see or thought was borked." Koishi added. "Lasers are hurtstuff when you don't have good shields."

"Thanks for all the information." Adalynn commented. "Do you know any safe routes? Or should we all go out and make ourselves a new one?"

[Pickpocket - 1-20 Die rolled. Xyrha needs to roll greater than Seth. Seth rolls an 8. Xyrha rolls a 1. Unsuccessful!]

Either she had butter fingers or she was a little clumsy. She wouldn't be able to obtain any medical equipment off of Seth's person, but merely toy around with it. And make a lot of noise. Seth would be able to recognize this. Adalynn and Niveah were able to pick up on some audible cues. Adalynn turned around to see a thief in the midst of something.

    "You there, stop!" She shouted!

The Nyx readied her Viper, pointing the pistol at the Mag.

"What are you doing here? Why are you stealing from us?"

  20. "So, we have a Tenno who is 'out to lunch,' another who is giddier than a schoolgirl, and a cyborg who seems fairly normal." Niveah commented. "Adalynn, you sure seem to know to pick 'em."

Adalynn shook her head. She knew Niveah was jesting at the whole idea of the current group. The group thus far? Still some of the of the original crew, now with some more members and just a mashup of differing personalities. At least its great to get some more outside perspectives other than your own.

However, banter aside, Adalynn couldn't help but feel a little uneasy. Something in her mind was nagging her and it was the thought of Lusith's current demeanor. She could feel the general tension in the air around Lusith. The fact that Lohk had split her mind into many pieces, worried Adalynn. She wanted to find a fairly peaceful resolution to the conflict, but it ended in rather dire circumstances.

'Don't blame yourself for your actions.'

Adalynn shook her head for a moment, as if she was dreaming. It still remained to be the same place. Nothing changed. Could Lohk have followed them? Could it have been leftover psychic interference? She wouldn't know, nor did she want to at the current moment. Right now, the goal was to pave the way to some form of civilization. The only path the group could really take was straight forward. She pressed on forward.

"Well, we all can't simply dilly-dally. Let's get a move on... There is nothing for us here." Adalynn saying to everyone.

Though seeing that these people have lived in the rail for quite some time, Adalynn wondered about life aboard it. Was it friendlier than the Europan wastes?

"Koishi, Jacob, Valerie, if you guys don't mind me asking, how is life aboard the rail?" Adalynn asked. "Are there things we should look forward to or be worried about?

Okay, I understand where you're coming from. Would a Daikyu work better, perhaps?

Thank you for the update, I was thinking that perhaps my character could be in the area, or possibly attempt to stowaway on their ship.

Daikyu sounds fine. And so far, everyone that has been introduced, they have been adventuring around the rail, towards the entrance of the place. So we can set you up there. That sound good? If so, then you will be good to go!

Well, that's a funny manner of speech, thought the cyborg. Seems like the apocalypse has left it's mark on the mind of this one. Still, her words were clear enough, which was a good sign. The hat seemed like a strange thing though, especially indoors.

He was about to respond when yet another presence announced itself. The realization of how much in hindsight the source of the voice was made the human curse himself mentally for paying so little attention. Still, it seemed that the Saryn was friendly as well, as he was clearly oblivious to the readiness of her deceiving stance.

In fact, this Tenno looked rather familiar. Both frame and voice...

"Hey, don't I know you? Have we... met in a settlement perhaps?"

"Oh!" Koishi yelped as she realized she forgot something important. New people were rare for her to meet even before all this, and a year alone made her forget a lot of things.

"Sorries, I's forgot about introduction stuffins. I's be Koishi, but yous can calls me Koish'." Koishi giddily replied.

"I's not part of any fancy Division though. I's just been alone for a looooong time. I's dunno how long, I's dun' have a calendar thingy." Koishi finished before putting a hand to her helmet's chin.

She never really thought about the time. She wasn't counting, certainly. And her tendency to forget things didn't help. Probably months. Maybe years? She completely lost track, especially since the lighting didn't change much. Then she thought about food. Then fish. Then something she forgot mere moments later. From an outsider's perspective, it would look a little like her mind dazed off.

Which is precisely what it did as thoughts of roses wandered through her mind, simply melting away for something else but a few moments later.

Valerie took the fact that the Trinity widely ignored her as a chance to inspect the strange-talking Tenno from head to feet, internally questioning her aptitude with the rifle she wielded. But then again, maybe the craziest persons are actually the worst, of which many considered herself to be a prime example. At least when it came to fighting and bloodshed.

Then Jacob noticed her and asked his question, which made her shrug her shoulders as if she were the completely wrong person to ask that question. "How would I know?! I job in that rundown village all the time, meet load's of people there." She examined him again, her furrowed brows hidden behind her visor. "But that arm... did I ask you if you have a flashlight in there, by chance?"
She remembered an occurence when she had been carrying some crates into the back of the store he was selling his loot at, and the little exchange had come to pass. Nothing noteworthy on her clock, really.

Next it was Seth and Dain that caught her attention, thanks to Seth's calling out for the station's residents. Her hands stayed more or less on or near her hips as she stepped forward, past Jacob and Koishi. Since her Axe and Harpak were both on her back, one grip over each shoulder, that was a more-or-less-safe place for her hands to be.
"I'm Valerie, of the people who're stuck on this rusty, ruddy station. And I remember Tyl's labs." Her mordbid grin was invisible again, but became audible with her next words. "Or at least, pieces of it. Funny to meet one of you poor sods out here."
Her head moved an inch, towards Dain. "Hiding behind a Tenno shield. Makes me love this day even more!" Now she sounded excited.

Looks like the group had met an influx of new members, some of whom never really revealed their names. Adalynn still had her pistol drawn. Her finger wasn't on the trigger, exercising proper gun control and hesitance. These people never really exuded any sign of threat or any form of hostility. She still kept an err of caution.

"It seems like some of you have met before. Are you all in some group?" Adalynn asked with some curiosity. "

Her pistol lowered slightly, but still would be able to have a loud report, if anything got hairy.

"My name is Adalynn. And I don't want to cause any hostilities. Human, what is your name? The Tenno have already revealed theirs, what about you?"

    Thank you for the feedback.

For the weapons, perhaps her loadout could be changed to the Dread and Aklex instead, both of which are pretty well-worn.

As for the storyline, I think it should be tweaked so that she was stranded on whichever planet they're on now, instead of Europa. She's not too pessimistic, as she does tend to aim for a more realistic outlook on things. She won't necessarily act out in group settings, but she does have trouble relating to others and forming bonds. It might take time for her to warm up to the group, and she'll need her own personal space occasionally. As for orders, she definitely doesn't like getting bossed around, as she'd rather be cooperative than obedient, however she won't make a big fuss about it.

    Thanks for your patience.

I already like your active behavior. c:

Anyways, I am a little hesitant on giving your character a Dread, since in the RP, we have never really have seen or fought Stalker. Let alone, I am kind of saving of rare weapons for rewards as well as random encounters, so that they aren't some generic weapon that everyone as access to. I hope you understand. So I recommend something that isn't necessarily Paris Prime or Dread of you want to use bows.

As for the planet, they are on the Europa Solar Rail. Currently they are exploring the entrance to it, so that may be of particular use to you.

Other then that, we should be fine.
