  1. The Hek should be capable of doing sorties, it seems like you have a build problem more than a weapon problem.  Are you using the augment mod? Pretty much mandatory for the Hek.

Also, what faction...  If you're fighting the Grineer,  always always Corrosive Projection aura.  Literally nothing will make as much of a difference against the Grineer as getting rid of their armor.

I get that having your riven nerfed would suck, but what the community isn't relizing is that there would be a ton of new rivens buffed. Like there are so many new weapons with a 3 star disposition that are never used and should be 5 star. Makes me really angry how the community doesn't want these weapons to be brought up to the power level they should be. Your tiberon is going to still wreck with a 2 star disposition riven.

The thing is, I already put in time and platinum on getting the rivens I have.  You're saying it's okay that my rivens will be nerfed because then I put in even more time and platinum getting different rivens...  Which will then be nerfed...requiring even more time and platinum...

People want to feel like they are earning and keeping rivens, not "renting" them to ride the tide of whatever hasn't been properly balanced.  So yeah, it would be nice to hypothetically have the option to bring every weapon up to the point that it can be top shelf with the right riven, but people have already invested heavily in what they have now and DE has not given any indication that they will respect that investment. That's why I'm concerned about disposition adjustments.

If dispositions are paved over and no effort made to compromise with existing owners, then I will probably lost interest in rivens. Why would I ever buy a riven if I know that the stats are just going to get taken away some day?  Why would I ever buy a resource booster to go kuva farming, if I know that my awesome riven that cost days of grinding will be turned into barely-adequate garbage if the weapon ever gets rebalanced or becomes popular?

Most important would be removing shield ignore mechanics from certain damage types. Both enemy and our shields need a buff and this would help.

I agree.  In every discussion about "Shields need help" somebody will say "But toxin and slash!".  Plus it makes a total joke of the Corpus that we can literally ignore their primary defensive stat if we want to.

  4. Personally I do not think health needs any more help.  Health is protected by armor, it's restored by Lifestrike, Healing Return, Rejuv, operator arcanes, an operator ability, syndicate procs, healing orbs, 10 different warframe powers, the Furis....

Shields are underpowered, so going the other way would make a lot more sense: Sacrifice some health to increase your shields.  We need gameplay mechanics to make shields more attractive, not even more mechanics to bolster warframe health which is already the way people choose to go.

(Consider the fact that everybody knows how to use high health/high armor warframes....But did you know that Revenant has the highest shield stat in the game? And literally nobody cares because shields are that bad?)

  5. Seems reasonably challenging to me as you get into the 20 and 30 minute missions. You can die in the blink of an eye to enemies that are ' "only" ' level 100 if you get careless, and fact remains that every enemy covered by a drone is immune to CC and nukes so it forces you to actually do something different and more interesting than ESO's non stop spore spam.

That was the point of the test. To see how differently the enemies behaved or rushed the player while invisible with and without enemy radar equipped.

The OP doesn't mention invisibility at all. 🙂

The specific case of invisibility changes this claim substantially, because the enemy AI isn't reacting to "player spotted" but instead other cues...

Yes, that's what I saw also with the enemies while in Prowl.  It was almost like they weren't alerted at all.  Notice I said almost because I still couldn't get stealth kills without using sleep first.

I'm not sure it's a valid test of "enemies cant seem to find me!" if you're permanently invisible.

Wait, don't the bomblets have the same base damage as the main mortar?

    Cumulatively they do.

(numbers are relative, exact numbers will vary based on target type)

    For an uncharged tap-shot (2 ammo),  I see 30 Impact damage + 37 Radiation.  5 seekers are created, and I see 4, 8, 8, 8, 8 damage on the target from seekers.

For a fully charged shot (11 ammo),  I see 165 Impact damage + 201 Radiation. 5 seekers, doing 41 damage each.

  9. Personally my index loadout is a Strun Wraith modded for 100% status with Corrosion damage, then a melee weapon with Condition Overload and Viral damage. Blast with shotgun to delete their armor and pepper them with a bunch of different status effects, then if they survive that, stab stab stab.

I've never asked support to return any of my dissolved/sold mods (riven/non-rivens) tho, just asking if this is a known exploit. I just read pinned post about common supports and this question came to mind.

Anyway wow I'm your 14,000th upvote haha

Support is capable of restoring mods that you've accidentally melted so go ahead if you really do make a mistake.  I can't imagine that anybody's gotten away with using them as a "riven bank" though. It's gonna look really suspicious if the same person keeps coming back with the same problem every week.

And thanks, a lot of insomnia and fevered typing went into that rep score :D

I feel you.  I'm MR22 and I still don't understand how the focus stuff for Naramon works anymore.  Before it was easy, you blast your party which gives them 5 seconds of invisibility anytime they land a critical hit.  It was kind of a party buffer class.  Now I have no idea what Naramon does or how it effects the party.  So I've been in a constant state of "fake it till you make it" while leveling up all of the nodes on the tree.

I'd suggest you focus on abusing *massive* melee combo counts with the ability that makes your combo  slowly decay instead of disappearing all at once,  and the dash which makes enemies vulnerable to melee finishers.

  12. From what we've seen on the devstreams it seems like it's going to be similar to Plains of Eidolon, where you have a choice of a few different levels to play at.  Is POE for new or advanced players? Yes. You can go out as a new player fighting enemies at ....what, level 5? All the way to 60, and then even past that you can fight the Eidolons for super advanced gear. It's not really in DE's best interest to make such a massive new game space that will only appeal to some of their players.

"Something for everybody" seems like the most plausible answer.

  13. I would caution you against trying to abuse Support to bypass the riven cap. They have a record of everything you've done and everything you've asked for and they probably won't like it very much if you take advantage of them for selfish reasons. Plus, don't forget that these are real human beings trying to help Warframe's millions of players, and time they spend fishing your used rivens out of the trash is time they could have spent helping somebody with REAL problems like a corrupted quest state or an inability to log in.

  14. " TLDR: Adaptation is bugged and when maxed at 90% only gives 65,86% DR, that or it somehow lowers armor."
    You know, depending on--

    "... pure radiation..."
    But did you account for--

"... The calculation is as follow: let's calculate what the 29 damage without armor would be"
    Right, because--

" GLOBAL EDIT: THE WHOLE TOPIC IS FAULTY. We did calculations with radiation forgetting that it gives more damage to armor "
    Yeah that.  🙂

  15. High population density is best to maximize your number of chances. I would suggest Everest which is a popular Excavation mission. It also shows up as a Lith fissure relatively often and you'll have a better chance of finding a veteran team that wants to stay and grind it for a while.

Also at the start of the mission you could put in chat "I'm looking for neurodes, please mark if you see some drop", most people are nice and will help you out.

  16. 1.) Don't forget that physical status procs have an invisible x4 bonus in the status pool.  So they're much more likely than elemental status types, even at the same nominal chance and magnitude. So the high-puncture build will actually get almost 1/2 puncture status even though it's "only" 76 because in the pool it's about 300 puncture versus 300 elements. The first one's not amazing for damage distribution either since now you have the opposite problem: there's almost no physical.

2.) Not really, 4 shots per second is quite respectable for this type of weapon.

3.) The first build is slightly higher raw DPS, the second build has more Puncture which is a better damage type than Impact. Not enough to be life changing though. You have to consider how mods stack,  that amazing +317% damage stacks additively on top of Hornet Strike and Lethal Torrent, and the base damage, so really what you're ending up with is (1+2.2+0.6) = 3.8x damage versus (1+2.2+0.6+3.17) = 6.97x total damage. Less than double "actual damage" bonus.  You might even go heretical and consider dropping Hornet Strike entirely if you want to go for a high status Condition Overload build, since the riven is stronger than it anyway and you can get that slot back for rate of fire or to massage your damage types into a more pleasing ratio.

Personally? I would go with the all elemental riven and either Viral and Electric (for DPS support) or Blast and Electric (for CC support) instead of corrosion and blast.  Corrosion status requires a LOT of hits to become effective, you're not going to have time in most missions to let your sentinel pew pew at a guy to corrode his armor. Corrosion doesn't wear off like most statuses, but again, typically enemies don't live that long, and corrosion doesn't offer any CC. Going single-element Electric gives you another chance to do something cool to the enemy (i.e. shock them) and remains relevant for Condition Overload. So. Try replacing Pistol Pestilence with Scorch, and switch Jolt and Frostbite. See if you like that.

  17. If you can't even update the game from the launcher, DE would need your log files to identify the specific problem. If everything else on your computer seems to be working fine and you have no trouble playing other online games or watching streaming video or anything like that, then

    1.  Go to Support website and log in if asked to.

    2. At the top of the page, click "Submit a Request".

    3. Choose the category "Technical and Networking"

    4. Add a description, make sure you identify where you are from (a country or region is fine, like "Brazil" or "western europe", they don't need a street address here).

    5. Under Category choose "I can't patch or update".

    6. Under Attachments, click "Add File"

    7. In the file box that comes up, paste this: %localappdata%\warframe\

    8. Choose Launcher.log (may just show as Launcher) and confirm.
Please note that every time you restart the game these logs are deleted and then re-made. The log is only useful if you had a problem with the last time you started the game.

    9. Submit.
  18. Personally since Guardian already has a pretty decent chance to trigger I would prefer to mix it up by adding Aegis or something.  But it also depends whether the warframe in question has any abilities that care about armor value.  E.g. if you are Rhino, even though the extra damage reduction from that armor against your HP pool doesn't help a lot, you don't care because you have Iron Skin and armor value affects Iron Skin's starting strength. So you could wait for both Guardians to trigger, then cast Iron Skin, for that extra kick from your 1200 armor value.
